ALAS like the Van Gogh of Writing that I am, the profound and sublime meta-genius of my artistic form goes unheeded by my peers, and unrecognized in my time.

And like Van Gogh, I have sacrificed of myself to attain this peak. To lose an ear simply strengthened the man's capacity for visual appeal, and thus my sacrifice upon the altar of artistry shall propel me to great heights - but like the words of praise ear-loss had deprived the aforementioned Dutch post-Impressionist painter of, I too shall be left behind, a time capsule to be enshrined in a time later to come.

@Grey

AND YET STILL

my words fall on ears as deaf as the man's one - and thus the triad who turns the wheel of fate, overturns mine own fortune in kind. The chain of being hast shattered, the beasts and the men roam the same plain. What is divine, and what is devilish hast become indistinguishable! Old evils in the newest of ways! It casts its shadow upon my heart - a deception more dastardly than the boar usurper and green-eyed monster's, a sorrow greater than that of the blind king and the lovers of Verona, and a sting more vorpal than the blade of the dagger I see before me. But is the handle towards mine hand? Or is the blade at my heart?

As Stephano, in the Bard Shakespeare's great work The Tempest once said: "He that dies pays all debts." (Tempest 3.2.126) But even the great Bard of Avon fails to ponder the nature of the fate that befalls those those of whom others are indebted to! And so I say: they shall be showered with glory from on high, just as the tears of their passion, their rage, their sorrow, showered upon the merciless earth.

But these tears... They shall turn to fire in the hearts of the many.

And so with a heart heavier than even the shoulders of mighty Atlas and heroic Heracles can carry

I die.

I enjoy the concept of Jacks composite Wraiths essentially being a quiet collective chorus of anguished whispers.

In other news. If you want to talk to Taka, take that mana leak willingly unless you earn her trust.

No one's going to do that in character Charak. I'm not dictating that anyone shouldn't they can if they would but Leon's a trained duelist he's not taking that chance, and Lancelot's not willing to risk his master's life on a maybe.

Nobody's going to do it willingly.

You don't immediately feel the effects anyway. So she might just apply it without your consent (preemptive is best).

At least she's not forcing people to sign a Unbreakable pact to get her trust.

I believe the contract with Leon is rather fair in my own opinion. It merely enforces cooperation and no backstabbing. Leon even was smart enough to think of multiple outs to it should the party in question need to nullify it. It also needs to be signed willingly. He's up front about it, he's protecting both parties from the masters in question, and it allows both, if they agree to sign it, the clean mind to not worry about any death threats on their heads from their new ally.

@vancexentan

"This contract is only binding until the very end of the Grail War is complete or both parties in question agree to annul the geis"

Both partys? Okay so whats to stop my new friend from being an complete Ass and killing loved ones. And then not agreeing to annul. Because of the Geis I can't directly make anyone hurt them.

It is one hell of a loophole though. This is why you don't force contracts like that. So you can still get your 'revenge' if they backstab you.

@1Charak2Because Leon's not an ass and he'd never try something like that? And Lancelot is a literal knight in white shining armor? That's more of one of the OTHER characters taking advantage of Leon's generous nature. However just because Leon's like that doesn't mean Lancelot is.

"I believe the contract is quite sound master though I do not like the approach of binding one's free will this will suffice to make us safe from betrayal. I would not stand for betrayal on our end less the one in question had become unquestionably evil. So I would recommend adding in a clause that as follows would allow us to stop the geis from binding us to do nothing. Add in the stipulation that if the enemy servant, or master in question acts in a way that purposely would go against the morality of the other party that they be allowed to fight back, or stop the action in progress from happening."...Leon nodded at his servant and began to further inscribe the rule down on the parchment he had written the contract down on.

I believe killing innocent people, friends, or family would void the warranty on most people's contract due to morality. If I had to give Leon an alignment it's be lawful neutral or neutral good. He wouldn't hurt his friends, families, and allies if he was given the choice. Neither him nor Lancelot would go for the 'code of conduct' for lawful neutral characters in which cases present the commandments of 'those shall not betray, murder, kill the innocent.'

Well regardless of this above statement and Charak's own character's demands then we're just going to have to find some way to get along or not. Leon's not going to let himself get under an enemy spell, Taka's not going to like Leon's morality pet nature. So that should mean James should be teaming up with Taka, and Albert should be teaming up with Leon. While Albert made a poor first impression due to Togami's mockery the only other choice is to work with the unknown enemies. If this wasn't a roleplay I have a feeling Leon would probably end up falling under Togami's thumb.

Speaking of that, feel free to bring Leon into the scene somehow. Or should I do something? Because Albert's not actually gonna go over to meet anyone at the cafe. His plan was to wait and see who showed up then contact them later at night via familiar. If you wanna bring Leon into the scene right now, he'll have to be a bit proactive.

@Turboshitter I was waiting for you to dismiss Kuro. I guess I'll just have to use Lancelot to find your location.
