*James would nod and smile at her, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable as he back up some* "Ya, let's keep going and maybe we can get a fire before bed. That would be nice with this cold..." *He would say with a shiver in his body, trying not to show it as he goes back to his seat. Working his hands a bit before grabbing the oar and dipping it in the water, though he would wait for Cecilia to be ready before they continued. He was looking forward to getting warm, but he was curious why Neric did that. Was it to cause trouble or did Neric have some other agenda behind it? Whatever the case James would have to talk to him later about it. For now he wanted to keep going, wondering if he made Cecilia uncomfortable with giving his jacket to her. His eyes wandering down a bit before shaking his head and continuing forward, putting those thoughts aside for now*

"Y-Yeah..." Cecilia agreed as she saw James return to his seat. A campfire never sounded so good and she couldn't wait to share one with him. She could imagine how cold James was feeling and didn't want them to linger. If this had happened during the winter or if the weather was significantly colder, she would have outright refused his jacket period. But as it stood, she felt like she owed him after this. But what could she do? A question for later, she decided. Cecilia picked up her paddle again, dipping its head into the water. "Okay, I'm ready when you are," she spoke up after a quick deep breathe. She was subtly appreciative that she was wearing the safety vest. And if nothing else, at least she needn't wonder about Neric's mischievous side any longer.

They started to paddle in a rhythm. On Max's suggestion Valencia looked around and most of the other groups where up a head. Yes, lets do that. she answered quickly and began to speed up the rhythm. The boat started to wiggle slightly. Max caught her rhythm the boat stopped wiggling and they started to go faster little by little. Steering the boat wasn't that hard any more for Valencia, she had learned how to control the boat so they kept going on a straight line.

Adrianne took the oars, making long, powerful strokes like the councilors had demonstrated. "Uhhh, so, what's your favorite sport," Adianne asked Kyle, trying to make small talk. She knew that talking to normal people was not her thing, but Kyle and the rest of the campers were not exactly normal people.

*Sooner or later, they would return to the shore. Or at least close to the docks for them to get off, seeing the rest of the campers out on the water still as he held the canoe down for Cecilia to get out. Though it would still be rocky in a way, he would think getting out is much harder then getting in. But he would make sure that she could at least get out safely before getting up himself, looking at her as he smiles* "Well that was fun, well most of it." *James would say with a smile, and if Cecilia wanted to get out last he wouldn't object. But his words came regardless of the choice she makes, he had a fun time even if Neric did get them cold and wet. The fin out in the water making it's way around the bay again. Most likely to see who is next for a scare maybe, hopefully he doesn't splash anyone else. If he did then James wouldn't be too happy, it's getting late and the weather is cold out now*

Kyle wasn't a social person. He had little to no time to interact with others. Ivy was a full time job. He did his best to make sure that the two of them learned enough that they could have some kind of life in the future. He didn't know how realistic it was but he did his best since neither of them could go to a regular school."I don't really have time for sports. My sister take up most of my time."

"Oh, uhm," said Adrianne, unsure of what to say, and also grateful that Kyle was behind her so that he couldn't see her uncomfortable blush. So, instead of saying anything, she just paddled away. Starting to see the edge of the lake, she called to Kyle, "Hey, we are almost to the edge of the lake."

"Yeah, it was," Cecilia agreed pleasantly, feeling much better since being splashed by Neric. "I was a bit worried at times, but we made it." She set her oar to the side as the canoe made its stop by the dock, sighing in relief that their first try at canoeing hadn't ended with them swimming to shore. Of course, she couldn't say it was a complete success until they had both safely disembarked. She looked to find James already securing the boat for her. "Thanks," she said appreciatively as she stood shakily before gaining more confidence. In her rush, she forgot to immobilize the canoe like she did at the start, a fact that occurred her after she had carefully stepped off onto the rigid wood panels. She reasoned that it would probably not be necessary and simply held out her hand to James, offering to help him out. "Need any help?" she asked with a more confident smile.

*James would smile and nod, looking up at her as he carefully takes her hand. Though he knew she wanted to pull him out, he couldn't help but tell that her hands were rather soft to him. No wonder Neric liked her petting him* "Ya, thank you." *Getting out with her help as he looks back at the canoe, Neric jumping out of the water again before diving back in as he shakes his head. Looking back to Cecilia with a smile before speaking again* "Doing alright? You did very well out there if I can admit that."

Cecilia was determined to make sure James made it out, to the point that she only realized after he was on the dock that she was once again holding his hand. "Y-Yeah, thanks. But I can't take too much credit. I was following your lead after all," she responded cordially, a subtle blush in her cheeks. She then watched with James as Neric breached the water and dived back in, Cecilia smiling subtly, very mindful that she should probably be upset with him but not managing it for some reason. She didn't abruptly pull her hand away like before on the hike but instead used her other hand to lightly feel his forearm for a second, needing only that second to remind herself that although his hand was as pleasantly warm as before, he must still be quite cold from earlier. "J-James, are you sure you wouldn't want your jacket back? I'm feeling much better now, so you can have it if you want," she said, a bit fretful as she began to take it off her shoulders.

*As she touched his arm, she could feel him shivering a bit as he looks over at her. Though he would try and hide it as best as he could with a smile, though his instant reaction to her touching his forearm was his own hand going for hers. Though he would be careful and only place it above hers, he had to admit she was warmer. And it felt nice for some reason to feel her touch, his thumb rubbing the top of her hand in their holding of hands. Looking at her taking the jacket of as he speaks* "Oh no I'm fine, how about once we get to the campfire. Then I'll take it back, sound good?" *He wouldn't wanna make her wear it, but he didn't mind if he was a little cold. He was used to it, guess being on the road does that to someone. He shrugs as he smiles at her before looking back at the campers, though his attention does go to the counselors. He didn't know if they would start the fire soon or once everyone gets back, but while they waited he would watch with the others with Cecilia*

Cecilia was caught off guard when James' other hand met hers, the weight of her carelessness starting to loom over her, though she'd barely show it, as she was more concerned with how cold he was and wasn't very reassured at his attempt to hide it. "Hmm, alright. Sounds good," she said although her skepticism might have been evident a little on her face, willing to wear it a little longer if James insisted. She could bet he had been through worse while he was traveling. But just because he could endure something like this, didn't mean that she was necessarily okay with it. She had stopped holding his hand when she began to take off the jacket, but as they started to head back to observe everyone else arrive, it was all she could think about. She hoped she didn't make him too uncomfortable, but if she was honest with herself, it did feel really nice, like nothing she'd felt before. While they sat together and waited for their friends to finish, Cecilia started to appreciate having James' jacket all the more since she had just turned in her life vest and would have felt quite "exposed" otherwise. "Um, James?... Thanks again for being my partner. You were awesome out there," she stated while looking fondly at him.

Kyle nodded he was surprised at how fast they had reached the other side. He frowned. He thought canoeing would be harder. He had heard all kinds of stories about it. Still he wouldn't complain because they seemed to have gotten the gang of it right away. "I guess we should try to get this canoe turned around."

They started to come closer to the others. Yeah, well lets keep this up and we'll be there in no time. Valencia smiled more as they continued rowing in the faster rhythm. Steering the boat wasn't that difficult any more for her since she has got some practise now. In the beginning it was pretty hard but now it was really easy and rowing wasn't that hard either now.

@Vampy"hey look we are almost there" max said as he pointed. "that was easier than I thought" max said as he rowed again.

Valencia looked up. Yeah! Well lets slow down then so that we don't ram in de side. Valencia stopped with paddling. They had enough speed to get to the side without doing anything. The boat touched the side softly. We made it.

Valencia looked around. I don't know. You may decide it. Some of the others where going back. Valencia looked at Max, she really didn't know if they where supposed to go back or to wait.
