Mmmm I see it as more of a natural phenomenon than the work of a devil fruit, because devil fruits and standing water tend not to work too well together.

It'd more likely be a sea phenomenon, like the Scylla from the Odessey, or the Bermuda Triangle. Unless you know where you're going you get dragged through rocks by the tide and your ship is ripped asunder. Probably a good place for the Marines to use as a prison.

@hozan Like I said, lol we can exclude the unicorn, or change it to something else. :P Not exactly a fan of the unicorn, especially for a group that goes by the Scarlet Fists. A unicorn is not intimidating at all...Then again neither is a lamb or a ram, whatever Merry was yet the Straw Hats were perfectly fine with it.

Yeah, but that's because it was a gift. I'd personally prefer a phoenix as it's the symbol of fire, the south, and red in Chinese culture.

If the plan is to escape from a treacherous isle it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to have the figurehead knocked off and acquire a new one first chance you get.

I don't know how anyone else would feel about this, but I've been thinking maybe it would be cool for the Scarlet Fists pirates to have some kind of rivals, who'll grow parallel to our group.? For example, maybe during the prison break we'll run into and battle a group of marines who'll get into trouble afterwards and will be sent after the Scarlet Fists and throughout the story our characters will occasionally run into them.

@jynmi88 I like that idea, and we could all play a member of that crew as well, if we wanted to.

but right now the idea is merely a suggestion. It depends on how everyone else feels about it as well as how it would work like how its decided who would be a rival for who, or how the posting would work?:P

Are there going to be any rules as far as posting goes?

A 2nd rival crew, marine or otherwise is something I have no objections to for those of you who wish to create characters for it. As for posting try to keep it reasonable is all, avoid speedposting between two people, give people a chance to respond, basic spelling and grammer, yada yada.

@Yuuta seems to be out of it so I'll drop them one last mention and leave them to it, if they want to join later I'm sure we can work something out.

Seems like the brainstorming for team one at least seems to be at an end. Let me make sure I have things right.

-Anna stole a ship from the marines
-Anna, Hunter, and Jack have all met or know of each other from frequenting taverns.
-Abagial shows up looking for crew members and a ship.
-Disaster strikes when they set out and they end up marooned, finding Eddie and Elliot there. Perhaps someone also needs a doctor to fix someone on crew while they need the engineer to fix the ship. I'm thinking something along the lines of a sudden marine attack, they're recognized because of the stolen ship, driving them into the whirlpool thing that was discussed and getting them stuck on the island, they lost their masthead on the way in.
-They fix everything/everyone up and head out again, perhaps getting revenge on the ship that initially crashed them.
-Adventure!

If that sounds about right I can put up a post setting up the the port of the island they come from, the first 3 members make a post about them leaving the island and we can proceed from there into the listed events. If anyone already has ideas for islands/plots feel free to PM me, I should be fine running both this first part and the next one so no hurry.

@Eklispe Sounds about right to me. And of course the ship is noticed lol it has/had a giant unicorn on it! :P

Sounds good. I'd rather not try to play two characters at odds with each other, so I probably won't take part in the rival crew.

@hozanI don't know if we'd create rivals for our own primary characters. I was thinking it would be better if we made the rivals for other people in the group. Lol It would be kind of like schizophrenia the other way, but then again the rate of progress would be higher if we were in charge of our own rivals......
