Is this going to be a high casual to low advanced?
A better question yet, do you have a preferred post length and frequency?
Do you need to be a lore nut to appreciate this roleplay (I'm not), or can confusion be solved by a simple google search?

Sweet lord, this blew up fast. Suppose I shouldn't be surprised at this level of interest in a Mass Effect game a month before Andromeda comes out. We'll try to get an OOC up in the next couple of days. Hopefully tomorrow. With the OOC will come more information on the specific state of canon we'll be using.

Full disclosure though, we'll only be looking for five or six committed players, and our choices will not be based on a first come, first served basis.

@BurningCold Yes, this will be a high-cas to low-advanced RP. I don't really have a hard and fast rule for post length, though considering the level of RP I'd be wanting at least a couple paragraphs per post, but I know that's always possible. I'm much more interested in the quality of the writing than the quantity. Frequency wise will be covered in the eventual rules, but at least one post a week. Any more than that would be dependent on the state of play. Some background knowledge of at least the main title games would be preferred, but is not completely mandatory. If your knowledge allows you to play your character like a believable entity in the ME universe then that's enough. Anything else can be covered with a search of google, or just asking in the OOC. The Mass Effect Wikia is also very informative.

I'm interested, but I don't know how soon I'll be able to get something up. Thinking human cyborg, maybe even an ex-Cerberus operative looking to turn over a new leaf.

@BlackSam3091 What will your choices be based on? If I haven't miscounted, there are 12 people who still want to do this. Some of them are not going to want to back out (take me for example). You said "we" though, do you have co-GMs (and how many)? I would be willing to co-GM if it would help working with a larger group. The other thing I can suggest (something I also did with a D&D campaign a while ago) is to run the same rp twoce - that is, find someone willing to GM another rp, technically the same as yours, and divide the players into "group 1" and "group 2". You would run the rp for group 1, and the other person (again, I am willing to volunteer for this purpose) would run the rp for group 2. Obviously this would require some explanation of planned plots, characters, etc. but it allow a large number of people to take part while leaving you with the group size you originally planned for.

If we are going to be splitting up roleplays, why don't we split up based on a person's writing skills? I was planning on running a Mass Effect roleplay set during the third game, if you guys are looking for help as well. But, I suggest that we wait until the OOC appears (and how many people actually make a character) before we do anything.

@Dervish To be fair the character was pre-made from an older ME rp, and I already intend to adapt it for this rp once the OOC is up.

While I have an idea of my character, since I'm not sure what has occurred in this lore, at least in terms of ME 2 and 3 and the choices in them, I've kinda held back on putting pen to paper, so to speak. After all, a lot happened for Quarians in 3 depending on the choices, and I don't want to assume it's a pure paragon world, you know?

@MechonRaptor fortunately my character is seperated enough from the Quarians of the Migrant Fleet that she can be easily adapted to the GM's canon
