Classes were finally over and he was quite surprised to see that they were already getting their first assignments on the first day of classes. He didn't mind though. He scanned the remaining jobs. Patrolling the wall, sounds normal. Helping with the security of the Vault museum, sounds uneventful. Going on a convoy and acting as its defense, hm, sounds good. Tracking down Grimm in the forest? A hunt? Now that sounded challenging. He turned to Asher as he spoke, wanting to hear their input.

"Either's admittedly fine with me." Julio replied, shoving his hands inside his jacket's pockets as he looked over the job list once more. "The hunt admittedly sounds challenging and fun." He's never tried that before. He would often fight with other people for training and maybe fight a Grimm or two when there's a chance for it. But he's never gone out of his way to find the Grimm to fight them. It would truly be interesting for him. He then shrugged, "That's what I think anyway."

Azura made an exaggerated HMMMM as she pondered things. "Weeeeelllllll, why don't we just go on the wall, we probably won't have to do anything and can hang out with each other and the guards and stuff. I bet they can teach us cool card games, or maybe tell us stories about having to fend off hordes of Grim." Azura said eagerly, laughing a little already. "Sound like a plan boss man?" Azura asked, turning to face Ven and tilting her head quizzically. The wall was totally going to be the easiest one because nothing would happen, which might be a bit boring, but it could be a lot of fun if the guards weren't total sticks in the mud.

The mention of the guards gave Venator brief pause, memories of his time with his old group resurfacing. He'd had more than a few run-ins with the guards back then, so he could only hope they didn't recognise him or, if they did, realised he was a Lustre student. Never-the-less...

"Like I said, It's up to you. We're a team, so I'd like to make these decisions as one. What say you guys?"

He turned his head to look at Terra and Lynn, who had yet to voice their opinions. If they both agreed, they would sign up for the patrol along the wall.

"Oh I know i'd DEFINITELY prefer the wall." Lynn spoke up, standing there with her arms folded as she'd been scanning the options herself. "I'm feeling more up to standing around for defence than going out there against who knows what... I don't like bandits." she admitted with a sharp frown.
"I am agreeable with both ideas." Terra spoke up, his straw hat back on after the fight and back to covering his eyes again, his mouth still very visible at least. "Defending the wall would be easy whilst the convoy would offer a unique challenge." he nodded slightly.

@Polaris North@Sho Minazuki
"Well... both sound pretty dangerous." Cedar spoke up from behind them, rubbing his chin with a free hand as he looked at the board. "But... I think i'd do a lot better at hunting than defending a convoy." He adjusted his goggles slightly in his hair, his bushy tail wagging behind him.
"They both sound exciting, don't they?" Yasmin smiled as she looked over their options. "I can be suited to either of them, though I feel a convoy would be the more interesting option of the two."

As he listened to opinions there seemed to be a majority on the convoy. Well, there was no arguing with majority.

"Convoy it is", he said simply. They can figure out plans later, for now they should report their decision and then get the mission details off the client, or however they were going to get it. He imagined that sometimes they may simply receive a file, but they weren't doing high level clandestine missions just yet. He began writing in everyone's names as he spoke, took awhile since it needed to match IDs,

"I'll just put us down, and we'll see when this convoy is meant to go out. I really hope it's not short notice...", his concern was mostly because he wanted a break from classes before jumping into some work, but work was work, and all these jobs had a pay. Earn that money and maybe they can splurge on something nice later. Well worth the effort. Before long they got a notification on their scrolls that they had accepted the mission.

"So, it's two for the wall and two that don't have a particular preference. I'll put our names down for the patrol then."

Turning back to the holographic screen, he selected the mission briefing for the Patrol along the wall and quickly entered his and his team's names. Waiting for a confirmation, he turned back to his team with a short 'done'. Pulling out his scroll as a message tone sounded, he looked over the details of the mission again as the confirmation notification appeared on the device, the same message being sent to the rest of his team as well.

Returning the device to his pocket, he stretched his arm with a small pop from his shoulder before settling his eyes back onto his team.

"Now that our mission is confirmed, we should probably rest up and check our gear. Easy assignment or not, we don't want any of our equipment to malfunction in the field."

Julio nodded and then watched as Asher put down their names under the convoy mission. Huh, should be easy enough. Perching on top a moving object and sniping from there is a forte of his, so this should be relatively easy for him. He shifted his weight to his other leg as he let out another yawn, now just bothering to look down and hide it by placing his face near his shoulders. He felt very comfortable with these people already. He assumed that was good considering they were going to be stuck together for however long they're in the Academy.

He looked back at Asher as he voiced out his hope that they wouldn't be immediately launched into a mission. "Agreed." He said with a nod before continuing, "I'd rather not be tired when I have to watch over a convoy with my reasoning to be tired is because of classes." While it was fine for him to just go on the mission, he would still want it to be after they had their rest. Being on full alert on a convoy is a must after all. His scroll vibrated prompting him to pull it out of his pocket and then look at it. Ah, it was the notification that stated that they had accepted the mission. Well, no going back now.

Azure nodded in response to Ven's prompt. "Alrighty, patrolling it is! But first... To the armory!" Azure said with an overly loud shout and began running over to check her gear, plus she could see what weapon Lynn used. Solitude wouldn't need much checking, it literally only did 1 thing and it wasn't even that complicated. Of course it didn't need to be complicated to kick some baddie butt! She wondered how the mission would go. It could be anything from a horde of bandits controlling a monstrous grim to fight for them to bird watching.

The teams had roughly an hour to rest and prepare themselves. Once that time elapsed, the members of team VALT recieved a message that their transport would soon be departing for the wall of Vault. When they got to the courtyard, they could see the Bullheads, ready and waiting to take the varying teams off to their missions. Professor Golem would be looking after them during their mission.

To call the professor anything less than a giant would be an insult. The man stood at least 7 ft tall and was swathed in a cream trenchcoat with a matching pork pie hat. His face was strong and stern looking, his hair grey and wild looking below his hat. He stood tall and proud at the Bullhead, beckoning them over... unfortunately for them, it was at this time they learned they weren't the only team on this assignment. Team STAR was also headed over to the Bullhead. Looks like they'd have to work together.

@Sho Minazuki @Polaris North

Similarly, team JAYC recieved a notification on their scrolls to head down to courtyard and catch their ride out to the outskirts of Vault, where the convoy would be waiting for them. Miss Lariet was their acting escort, standing waiting and smiling upon seeing them come out of the main building.

"Come along, slowpokes! We mustn't be late!" she waved them over. They also happened to spy team SILC headed for the same Bullhead. Looks like they'd taken the same mission as them.

"Bleugh, two teams for one little mission like this? Sure hope we're not splitting the reward with them", he commented, as he walked towards the Bullhead to board. His concern was rather self-centered, but it's usually what kept him going, a little reward to make the next day more fun so to speak and the idea they may not get that to the fullest turned him off of this a bit, still money was money, and action was action. Considering escort mission though he thought it was just going to be an easy job.

"Hey teach, are two teams really necessary for a simple escort? I know we're first years but come on".

Venator Aurea
Lustre Academy, Courtyard/Transport Landing Pad
@CadenGallic@Eklispe

Using the allotted hour to good effect, Venator had done a quick but thorough maintenance check on his weapons, refilling Renegade's dust tanks and re-stocking on 7.62 bullets for the weapon, as well as .357 magnum rounds for Vulcan and a few dust grenades. Washing off the oil from his hands, he returned to his room to change into his combat gear and equip his weapons. He slipped Renegade onto his back on a tight sling, sheathed in sword mode with the weapon's handle over his right shoulder, and secured Vulcan to his left leg in its revolver mode with 6 dust grenades on his belt; 2 Fire, 2 Lightning and 2 Steam grenades, useful for making scolding smokescreens. Waiting outside his team's room for them to finish up, he lead the rest of team VALT down to the courtyard.

As soon as he stepped into the courtyard, Venator failed to restrain a quiet groan of frustration as he spotted the members of Team STAR, loud enough to be heard by his team members but far enough away that the other team that they couldn't overhear. While the concept of working with another team wasn't surprising, or even unexpected considering the scale of the wall, the idea of being stuck on a mission with Silas and the blond-haired racist was vexing at best. With any luck the girl in the raincoat and the guy with the classic aviator style outfit would be the saving grace of this unfortunate assignment... Deciding to be the better man, he nodded in greeting to the grey-haired leader of the other team before taking a second to evaluate the accompanying Professor Golem.

His confidence, stature and age gave the faunus leader an impression of an experienced huntsman, so it was a relief to have an instructor of his stature supervising their first mission as a team. He was curious to the man's fighting style, as he seemed to be more inclined to a more strength-based skillset, like greatswords or brawler style weapons, over a speed-based, such as a spear or rapier, but he might surprise the wolf-like boy. If he was lucky, he could observe how the man fights in person and use what he sees to improve his own style but the downside is that the situation would have to take a turn for the worse for the professor to step in personally, and that could mean serious harm to either him or his team, a thought that troubled Venator a little. Pushing the thoughts out of his head, he nodded to the large man in greeting.

"We're ready to get going whenever, Professor."

Julio internally groaned when they received the notification that the mission was going to start. He has not gotten much rest yet. Well, at least his aura was in top shape already. It would be really bad if it didn't. He's also refilled his dust ammo and calibrated his sniper rifle so it would be in optimal condition for the mission. He even left the room to get fresh dust crystals from the nearby shops. It was certainly hard to part with money, but he must do this. If anything, it was also for the future as well if he were to not use any of these crystals. And so, there he was, with his team and walking towards the Bullhead that would take them outside of the Vault.

He absentmindedly ran his hand across his multi-pocketed belt, rechecking if he was prepared for the mission. It may be easy; heck, they might even get pass the mission without fighting, but he couldn't be too cautious. For all he knew, an extremely powerful Grimm was there and was waiting to attack an unsuspecting convoy... or something of that effect. Upon hearing Asher's comment, he stopped checking his equipment and then let his hands settle inside his pockets. He looked up and then turned his head to the team that would be with them. Team SILC was it? He was pretty sure it was them. Pretty sure. Asher didn't seem the like the idea of sharing this mission with the other team; if anything, because halving the reward would not be so nice.

While he did agree that the two teams may be too much, he differed in reasoning. He would be alright with letting go of the money, considering the facts, and the only thing he didn't like was the simple fact that he doesn't know how well he'll working with them. He had already spoken with Asher, Cedar and Yasmin which would lead him to believe how he should behave and work with them. However, throwing him in a situation where he doesn't know much about the others leads him to have a bit of difficulty with providing the support they need. He guessed he'll just have to live with it. He looked at Miss Lariet who waved them over and telling them to hurry so they wouldn't be late. He simply stayed quiet behind Asher. While he had his own qualms about it, it wasn't too important to voice out.

Azura didn't have to worry too much about her weapon due to it being such a simplistic affair. Just a test fire and little bit of shine and it was ready to go. She watched Ven gear up with mild curiosity, making note of his gear. After that the team made their way to to the courtyard where they found out they'd be pairing up with another team, to Ven's obvious discomfort. "Aw cheer up cap, it won't be that bad." Azura whispered to him furtively in a cheerful manner. She waved in their general direction as they approached the instructor, "Heyo giant professor, I'm Azura." Azura said loudly, so that both he and the other team knew her name.
