I'm here to say goodbye, and a few final points to set the record straight. (Yes, you told me not to come back, I said don't @mention me again. We've both been naughty. Involve the mods if you wish.
To begin with, and this has been bugging me because it sincerely worries me. I'll remind you that you tried to apply the LoEE to children, (Yes you tried to explain it in a nicer way) which ignores the fact that they are human beings, all at different levels of mental development, physical development and emotional development, which will all affect how they learn, also the commonly accepted fact that different people learn differently. Sometimes practice is not enough. Like I said, I'm not claiming that you have imparted the law of equivalent exchange to them literally, but if you have, the effect it could have on a toddler (Your parents only love you because they get x from it - equivalent exchange) borders on abuse. In regards to flaws, this is one of Ed and Al's greatest ones (combined with hubris) they believe everything is explained through equivalent exchange. Now I've returned to FMA when I said I wanted to drop it... my bad. Also, this is a fallacious argument (Appeal to Emotion) I am making right now, but I hope you will take this into consideration.
Bias is not mental compromisation. Bias :
prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
"there was evidence of bias against foreign applicants"
synonyms: prejudice, partiality, partisanship, favoritism, unfairness, one-sidedness; bigotry, intolerance, discrimination, leaning, tendency, inclination, predilection, casteism
Furthermore, we all possess Bias in one way or another, to pretend otherwise is silly. To argue that you have not been biased throughout this debate is hilarious. Also, Bias is created through a combination of experience, upbringing and current standing in the world. To argue that one's biases would not be affected by a disease is just being willfully obstinate.
Finally (and I'm really cutting short a lot of points here, you already dismissed everything else though with my banishment.), Lupus is a disease, and it sounds like a horrible one, once more I extend my sincere sympathy. Really, I do mean it, ignore everything else I say if you want, but you honestly have my sympathy for your disease, however it has manifested itself. I'm not a doctor, but heres one of the symptoms: (Yes it manifests differently in different people) Cognitive dysfunction. Exactly what I have been trying to explain to you the entire time. Now you can honestly complain that I am making claims to your mental compromisation through your disability, though in reality, no, I'm not doing that, though I admit that it will likely be hard for anyone, not just you, to see that. You attempt to claim I was making allusions to your success, when it is clearly written that I am saying you possess a bias, then you declared I was making claims that you are mentally compromised (read above if you are still thinking they are one and the same.) Both of these sound like points that you may actually fear yourself: That others don't see you as successful, or that they think you can't be successful due to your disease. That others think you are mentally compromised. Dismiss these fears, they will become self manifesting demons. I speak from personal experience (Yes I do have my own mental problems, they are not paranoia or schizophrenia. I applaud you for not grabbing at the low hanging fruit.) Clearly you are a talented musician and artist, I am envious of you in both regards. Your literary skills, as a writer, and as a GM could use some work though (we all could, it's why we're here, that, and it's fun!). Practice makes perfect, but only if you are actually open to criticism. Sometimes criticism is going to rub you the wrong way, don't equate it with a personal assault on your character.
Best of luck in all your endeavours.
Now I'll gladly fuck off.
