Niklaus "Nik"
Niklaus sighed once he left Dashiell's quarters. It was always hard seeing his brother in the tower, alone except a single servant and the occasional visits he got from Nik. He would try and talk to their father again but he knew it would have to be behind closed doors.

When he got back to the first floor, he could hear commotion from a variety of places. He could here Caspen being Caspen and could see Tarquin out the window with Magnus. Everything seemed normal enough.

Dashiell
Dashiell plopped on his bed with a smug grin once Niklaus left. It was just too easy to manipulate his twin. The longer he was in here, the easier it got but Dashiell had a back up plan in play just in case. He didn't lie to Nik about taking the burden off of him. He would take his place one way or another.

~

Caspen
Caspen shook his head with the slight amusement as Gunnar left. He didn't care what he said. What were they going to do? Lock him away? Starve him to death? It's not like he was yelling to the world he was a bloodsucker. He even did it in the comfort of the castle anyways. "These guys are cramping my style, Alice. Let's go reek havoc somewhere else."

Tarquin "Quin"
Quin nodded, standing up in front of Magnus. Quin barely came up to his chest but he loved their height difference. "Turn that frown upside down, Bearded Sasquatch. Why don't I help repair that shield."

Alice
Alice steps back as Gunnar carries the girl out of the lounge. She rolls her eyes in annoyance, "I can't believe he thinks he can talk to us like that." She then remembers how good in favor he is with Duvalt, causing her to shake her head. "What good are humans anyway besides being used to serve us?" She nods at Caspen's suggestion to find fun somewhere else and proceeds to follow him.

Sarah

After loading the laundry Sarah was free to do whatever she pleases, except leave the castle without permission of course. Per usual, Sarah decided to step out to the garden with a copy of Pride and Prejudice in hand. It was probably her 10th time reading it, but she couldn't stop imagining herself as the main heroine of the story, Elizabeth Bennet. Though romance was out of the option so long as she stayed a servant, she couldn't help but think how nice it would be to have a Mr. Darcy in her life.

Caspen
Caspen shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows, little sister. Besides, they hate us cause they ain't us," he said with a flashy grin, retracting his still visible fangs "I do need to get another shirt before we find some mischief though," he said, heading into the direction of his bedroom.

Duvalt

The old king looks around the room... "Hmm... How about this? I will assign you and Maggie the duty of making the place look lively. You know how your sister tends to go all out when given the chance... Having you there would help rein her in a bit." He chuckles, remembering the year she did it all herself... There was utter chaos afterward with getting all the clean up done... Couldn't eat in the dining hall for a week...

Magnus

Magnus raises an eyebrow. "Are you sure a little one like yourself could heft such a large shield?" He smirks, patting Quin on the head.

Magdalene

Maggie flitted down the halls looking for the others to tell them the news. As she turned the corner she noticed Nik in front of the huge wooden doors that lead up to the forbidden left tower. He didn't seem to notice her and she slinked back into the dark hall. Maggie watched as he locked the doors behind him. She had seen this few times before throughout her long life. Nik coming and going from the place that she had been prohibited her whole life. As he walked on down the hall, she slowly came over to the door and nudged them. As usual they didn't even budge, or make the creaking sound many of the other doors in the castle made. She sighed softly, and spun around.

Maggie leaned against the doors and ideally wondered what was so secret up in the tower. For a majority of her childhood and early vampire decades, she had been under the impression that there was something liken to Casper the friendly ghost hidden up there. But as she got older, she went through a thousand other ideas on what or who it could be locked up there. By the time she was well over three centuries old she had given up trying to figure out the family secret, and just assumed it had to be something only the heir got to know. She tapped her fingers lightly against the door frame and then proceeded to follow where Nik had gone. She caught him glancing out the window.

"Guess what Nikki. Our little brother has finally came back home." Magdalene said as she walked up to stand beside him, and see what he was looking at. She was obviously talking about Victor, as everyone knew Larkin was still in his honeymoon faze with his mate. She wondered how many decades it would take to finally become and Aunt. Though in truth, Nik should have been the first to find his mate, as he was the oldest Krishkov child and heir to their father's throne. Maggie had come close to finding hers, but it all ended in tragedy like most first loves do. The smile on her face faltered for a millisecond as she thought of the past. She spotted the scene with Quin, Magnus, and Fang outside. She remembered when her youngest brother Quin was born, with red fluffy hair and a sweet little smile. He had grown up to be all sass.

Tarquin "Quin"
Quin stuck out his tongue towards Magnus. "Who do you think you're talking about Magsquatch?" he teased before taking the shield from Magnus, him stumbling backwards a bit trying to support the weight.

Niklaus "Nik"
Nik smiled at Maggie. She was always bubbly and able to put a smile on his face. She would've loved Dash. "Well, I'm guessing not Larkin. He doesn't like us anymore," he teased, knowing it very well was Victor. He didn't come around much but he was glad when he did. Victor would be a better ruler and every time Victor came around, Nik wanted to give up his crown. "So, what have you been up to, Mags? "

Elizabeth 'Liz'

@GrizzTheMauler@Legion02@EmzyOfNeverland@Emma

Well it wasn't that Liz was particularly wanting to have her siblings hate her for being a brat but, she supposed, that was the sacrifice for wanting good to happen and trying to make it do. What she saw as good, at least. She remained at her father's side for only moments before Victor marched through the door, her father moving to meet him. Liz waits for the ritual of Victor giving a gift their father and he to assess comment on it before she walks toward the door.

On her way to the door she stops at her brother and father, "I will leave you two to catch up," she says before wrapping her arms around her brother for a brief moment before saying, "Good to see you safe," she wasn't sure if 'good' was right, sure, she loved all of her siblings but she also loved not being thought of as a brat, which Victor did. Vampires, the Krishkov's at least, weren't an affectionate bunch but Liz seem to have missed that memo.

Liz slowly departed the room. The loungeroom was currently possessed by Caspen and Alice and Liz did not want to get tangled in that mess. Instead she avoid the room and took the hall instead, finding herself meeting her older siblings, Maggie and Nik. She greets them both with a nod of the head

"You sure you want to carry my shield, young one?" He chuckles at the sight of Quin trying not to drop it. Fang isn't much help, barking and running circles around them, as if the shield was a toy he wanted to play fetch with.

Alice

"Sure Cas, I'll await for you in the lobby then." Alice gives him a smile as he heads to his bedroom. But instead of going to the first-floor lobby right away she retreats back to her own room in quick haste. In a locked drawer hid bottles of pills and vitamins needed to help Alice get through the day without experiencing any... symptoms. Taking the medicine every day was a grave reminder of how weak she was, how weak she will always be. Only a few know of her condition, none of the younger children know, and not even Sarah whose been serving her for 100 years now. If they found out, who knows what they'll think of her. She shook off the thought and quickly downed her pills so that she can make it back to the lobby before Caspen does.

Carsonomel had been sleeping for years, he had just began to dream. At one moment he was floating through nothingness, the next, he was back in the fight, watching his Teacher become torn into pieces and burned. He screamed within the dream as he felt his wounds in his dream, he hadn't fed before sleeping so his wounds had not had sustenance to heal. He charged one of the assailants in his dream and as he slashed with his sword he fell into darkness again. Floating endlessly in darkness it seemed, but not the kind when you are asleep and devoid of dreams, but like he was lucid dreaming within a void. He felt weightless, his rage and sorrow still burning within him. Suddenly his Teacher appeared before him, and he was instantly calm. Awaken. His Teacher said. You are needed above. There are those you must protect, your true family. Carsonomel began to sob. "But I couldn't even save you!" he cried, "How can I protect others when I cannot protect my closest friend, my maker, my Teacher." His Teacher floated closer to him and put a hand upon his shoulder, smiled, and Carsonomel woke up.

His eyes opened quickly and he sat up quickly, pulling dirt with him, but he was still submerged. He then rose his arms, which took all of his strength, tearing the wound on his abdomen further open as his slim amounts of remaining blood slowly poured from it after lying dormant for so long. He grunted with pain as he slowly pulled himself up to the surface. He rolled from the hole he had made and grunted loudly, breathing heavily. Turning, he saw the town they had been heading for in the distance. He tore a piece of his cape off and placed it over his wound, tying it off and rising to his knees. He then pulled his sword from his back, sheath and all, and used it like a walking cane, making his way down into town, holding his wound, trailing sparse large drops of blood behind him.

He made his way to the capital, looking up at the large building, barely able to stand. Mustering all of his might he pounded upon the doors, making loud pounding noises, three to be exact, and then fell to his knees at the doors. His vision became blurry, his muscles began to fail him, and he brought himself down to the ground slowly with his sword and passed out on the steps. He would not die, but he knew his recovery would not be pleasant once he was found. He then fell into the thoughtless nothingness of unconsciousness, bleeding on the front steps of the largest building.

Victor
@GrizzTheMauler @SouffleGirl123
“Sadly not.” Victor answered, while not sound too sincere in his sadness. “Humans are still so very…extraordinary.” He commented as his father lifted the blade. “So short lived. Yet so willing to dedicate their lives to one art alone and perfect it. Or they buzz like bees until their hearts give out or their body becomes gray and old. The blade was forged by a small workshop in France from the lovely town of Heritange. Absolutely stunning in its…humanism.” Victor had no problem with admitting that humans could be better in some things than him. He had led a long life but not yet long enough to master every skill. And even then, every time he mastered one skill, humans managed to invent another.

Victor was certainly taken aback a bit by his father’s request. Him and Maggie, decorate? He didn’t have an artful soul at all. Quite the opposite. Some of his siblings might even call him boring. Though, as his father continued, he understood. He certainly had fond memories of the roaring twenties. A time of endless partying. With Maggie almost always in the middle of it all. She certainly could hold a grand event yet his father was right. Sometimes she needed to be curbed a little.

Liz’s hug did not come entirely as a surprise. She was still so young and full of almost human warmth. Something he actually had lost already at her age. It fascinated him how his little sister kept going like that. Ever the brattish child that loved her family. Though, history often offered glimpse of the future. All his siblings, at a certain point, went through change. No doubt Elizabeth would suffer the same fate. He only hoped she’d grow up just as strong as his older sister. A little awkwardly he wrapped one arm around Liz to return the gesture.

“Tell me, father.” Victor then continued. “How are my siblings?” Of course, Victor could ask them himself. He wasn’t sincerely concerned about their well-being. At least not for now. No, he wanted his father’s opinion. Which one grew, which one didn’t change at all? And of course, his father knew Victor certainly held some in higher favor than others. Nik and Maggie were certainly important in Victor’s life. As were Liz, Sasha and Quin. Victor couldn’t be bothered less about Caspen. Only if the kid went a step too far, Victor would deem taking about Caspen necessary. And then there was Alice. His sibling whose existence Victor would rather deny. His father couldn’t be oblivious to the hostility between Alice and Victor. But Victor seemingly held a fascination for his little sister as well. Or at least pretend to have it, only to catch glimpses of what Sarah was up to.

Alice

As Alice waited for Caspen in the lobby, three pounds on the door got her attention. She ordered the two nearby guards to open the door cautiously, curious on who would knock so ominously. Alas, the body of a man in a suit of armor and long black hair bleeding out startled Alice as the guards slowly approached the unconscious man. Alice rolled her eyes "He's dying you idiots, help him in I guess, I shall go inform father at once." As she is walking, Alice pulls out a phone and texts Sarah,
"Rush to the infirmary at once and inform them to prep for a bleeding out victim.
Oh and bring me a mint tea."
Alice enters the room to find Victor and her father conversing.
Alice's face contorts a little, she knew how Victor saw her as a stain in the family. They didn't necessarily get along but this wasn't the time to start anything.
"Father I've come to inform you that there is a man in armor bleeding out on our doorstep... I figured you'd want him to at least be looked at so I had him rushed to the infirmary."

Sarah
"Vanity and pride are different things, though the words are often used synonymously. A person may be proud without being vain. Pride relates more to our opinion of ourselves, vanity to what we would have others think of us."
The words of the book filled Sarah's mind as she was engrossed into it. A buzz rang out from her phone. The phone Alice got her because "I don't want you to forget how much I do for you, you have a life here now, you might as well enjoy it." Is what Alice said as she purchased the phone for Sarah but really it was used to just relay orders out when Sarah was not close by.
But the text about the dying man surprised Sarah, Alice wouldn't normally order something like this. It was as if she had a heart...or something like that. The next text didn't surprise Sarah at all. She got up and closed the book, wondering whether she should make the tea first or go to the infirmary first.

Duvalt

Duvalt smiles and is about to speak to Victor when Alice comes in. Noting a slight change in bot of their demeanors he is astonished when she says they have a visitor who's bleeding out. "I want him taken care of. Someone awaken the doctor and tell him he is needed in the infirmary." He looks to Victor sadly. "I'm sorry, my son, but we will converse when the time is better. For now I must go see what is happening..." He starts heading to the Infirmary.

Gunnar

Having gotten the girl stabilized, she would make a decent recovery. It pained Gunnar to see such horrible treatment... Some of these kids just irritated him to no end... They may be royalty, but they don't act like it... And it made him upset. Being a vampire didn't mean that you were better. Just different. Back in his time as a traveler, he learned that there is a way for them to coexist rather peacefully. He met a village that did just that a few centuries back. It was through his time as a traveler he gained a reputation globally as the Journeyman. a legend that no one knew the origin of... No one even knew his name. Just the feats that he accomplished. And they were amazing feats. Felling armies and saving lives was his bread and butter. Gunnar had traveled to train, but ended up finding his calling. Which is why he came back. To prove that with patience and diligence, that the two kinds could live in a world together. But with how the children turned out... He was saddened. Because they held so much potential, and refused to change the views of the humans... In fact he had been in contact with a few other nobles in the realms and they noted that the Krishkovs were viewed rather darkly... The savagery of some of the children was well known and people feared Duvalt's power... For he could rule the entirety of the Vampire world if he so wished...

Snapped out his thoughts he spots the newcomer enter the infirmary. He makes himself useful, having studied and even guided the medical world in his travels. They quickly staunch the blood and get him stable. Gunnar makes sure there are guards at the door and has a servant run for Magnus.

Carsonomel woke slowly from being unconscious. His skin was slightly sunken in now, he had not fed since he'd awoken. His wounds would heal, if he only had the blood to sustain them. He tried to speak, but he was so dry, his throat crackled. He tried to sit up, but couldn't.

Elizabeth 'Liz' (and a guard)

@GrizzTheMauler@Carsonomel

Elizabeth left her older siblings to their own devices, hoping her greeting didn't interfere with what they were discussing. She continued on. Perhaps she could go to the library? Or maybe not. Liz had nothing against books, she quite liked books- well the stories. The problem was she could never stay still for long enough to delve into more than a page or two at a time.

Liz had taken only a few steps when she saw a servant rushing past. Finally for some action in this place. "Hey! What's with the rush?" as the servant rushes past. The servant mentions something of needing Magnus for the infirmary.

Curious of what was going on Liz precedes to the infirmary to be greeted by guards. 'Not right now, Liz,'

"Please. It's not like I'm going to cause any harm, I could be of help. I know that room in and out." She had a point, Liz has spent a lot of time in that room, especially when she was younger with all the cuts and bruises from spontaneous fights or cutting herself on rocks near the lagoon. With a sigh the guard opens the door a crack and calls into the room
"Liz wants to come and help, apparently. Did you want her?"

Gunnar

He is startled a bit when the man awakens, noting he hasn't looked like he's eaten anything. When Liz asks to be of help he's glad. "Aye, I need a bag of O- right away." He turns his attention on keeping the man lying down and he starts taking stock of his responses. "Can you hear what I'm saying?" He asks the man slowly.

Magdalene

Maggie greeted Elizabeth back before she was off down the hall again. She then turned her attention to her brother, and away from the window. "I've been up to nothing in particular. You on the other hand, seem to have started your day off by visiting ghosts." She said hinting at the fact that she saw him leave the left tower. Though if he understood the indication of her abstruse remark, she didn't pause to find out. "I'm just happy that it's not another boring day in my prolonged life. How you made it to five-hundred without doing something severe or insane is beyond me. Maggie said cheerfully.

Quite a bit of the time Maggie said things that would be interpreted as gloomy, if anyone but her was saying it. But weather she was serious or joking was usually hard to tell. It was true though, Nik had always been the obedient and responsible one. She couldn't really think of a time when let loose, or did something completely for himself. But she understood why he behaved the way he did, as he was the eldest, and heir apparent.

She began to idly trace the ivy pattern that was carved into the window frame with one finger. Maggie glanced back out the window, and saw two servants running to catch Magnus's attention. Something was happening in the castle, but Maggie chopped it up to another half dead human in need of medical attention. Alice and Caspen still had yet to find out what self control was. Mother really needed to teach them a lesson in poise. "What do you think that is all about?" She asked tilting her head as she watched the scene unfold.

Alice

Alice was curious to see who the stranger was that was bleeding on the doorstep. But at the same time, it was too much work just for one person. As Duvalt headed down to the infirmary she went the other direction in hopes of finding Caspen in this chaos to fill him in. Instead she runs into Magdalene and Niklaus near the window conversing. She held some respect for her older siblings, even Victor but barely. She thought it would be best to inform them of the situation at hand instead of leaving them in the dark. "Hello Mag, Nik, I was trying to find Caspen but I thought I'd let you know that I've found a dying man on our doorsteps and had him brought to the infirmary if you were wondering about the chaos."

Sarah
Sarah figured that the infirmary was already prepped and ready but instead of going to make Alice tea, she was both worried and curious about the man Alice texted about. Sarah made her way to the infirmary in hopes to at least be of some help. The guards at the door prevented her from coming in however, despite her offer of help. So instead she lingered by the entrance in hopes to hear good news to set her at ease.

Victor
@KimmiNinja @Emma @EmzyOfNeverland
Victor merely nodded as his father walked off. He didn’t really feel like following his old man towards the trouble. He had been under pressure enough for the last few days. No, today he’d dedicate to catching up with his preferred siblings. Liz was already out the door. So he would have to ask how she was doing another time.

Instead, he found Nik and Maggie. With a bright smile, he approached them, only noticing Alice a bit too late. “Ah Nik. Long time no seen.” He exclaimed. “So, my dearest brother. Five-hundred years old. Must have been one hell of a party.” Then he turned to Maggie. Despite her somewhat orthodox view on humans, Victor still loved her very much. “And Maggie. Father has asked me to aid you in decorating the hall. But I think that with ‘aid’ he meant reign you in a little.” There was no scorn in his voice. Only teasing happiness. “Though, truth be told. I don’t really feel like reigning anything in.” he threw a swift wink towards his older sister, hoping she’d get the message: do whatever you like. Not that she would need his permission on anything. Once Maggie set her mind on something, she’d move the earth itself to get what she wants.

And then there was Alice, and he caught her in a quite unfortunate moment. Him and his parents had an unspoken agreement. Alice preferred to keep her condition to herself and it would seem that their parents somewhat supported her in this. Victor felt that he shouldn’t talk about it with his younger siblings. This left most of them guessing why Victor disliked Alice so much. But his older siblings undoubtedly knew his feelings for his little sister. “I’m surprised you’re still walking around.” He started. His voice was so much colder towards the younger vampire than to his other siblings. “How many heart attacks did I miss? Three? Four?” Yes, it was mean. It was beyond mean. It was vicious. Hurtful. But he didn’t get many moments like these. Where him and Alice were either alone or among his older brothers and sisters. Of course, he would be devastated should she actually die. She was family after all. But that did not take the edge off his remarks.
