Marth on his surface can be known to be a very aloof person, when he meets someone new he likes to observe and analyze ones personality before deciding whether or not to interact with them if not required of him, by his natural personality aloof he can also be blunt at times since he doesn't like sugar coating much at all. It takes a little bit for him to warm up but once he sees you as a friend is a loyal one, he will stand up for his friends and himself if in trouble. When he gets comfortable with someone his friendly side is exposed and he jokes around, laughs, and smiles more, he will always have his friends back and will make sure they are in good condition. Though a pascifist at heart, when Marth is angry he tends to black out and will rampage recklessly with little concern for his self. When something is bothering him a lot he will be silent and seclude himself from his friends. Marth is open to trying new things as long as little risk is involved. Despite his childhood he still stays ambitious and has big dreams that he knows he can make reality.
Biography
Being born into an incredibly wealthy and powerful family, the Carter family is a rather dominant family who's main claim to fame is their output of strong and competent mages and familiars who are known for their proficient abilities. Known as a family of mercenaries, they are contracted all over the place for a multitude of tasks.
In his early life his mother passed away while on a bounty job, after the passing away of his father grew into a bitter man being a lot more strict towards his children, Marth got it the worst since was the only one out of the 8 who had yet to manifest his ability. His father had set up and tried all kinds of methods to use on his son to awaken his potential but eventually he was running out of patience, soon all the attention Marth had been receiving diminished and shifted over towards his other 7 siblings in order to prepare them to be proficient and competent in the family business.
Marth felt as if it was his fault that he couldn't manifest his ability and felt as if he had to take it on himself in order to reach his potential, as the days went by and his siblings grew stronger, Marth had yet to even begin that path ,they teased, bullied, and made fun of him. He confronted his father and made a final request to him to send him to St. Fortunas Acadrmy for Higher Arts in hopes of waking up the power within, his father accepted but with a catch and that was that Marth would not be inheriting anything from him and that he would have to pay off all the money in the future. Marth abided by the stakes and prepared to attend the Acadeny.
His first year went well but he still hadn't awakened his ability, the second year was right around the corner. Hopefully it will be a different story.

Clyde stands at 6'2 with a large body for a boy his age. He weighs around 195 pounds of pure muscle and has lightly tanned skin. His dark hair is usually kept in a wild mess like a lion's mane and his eyes seemingly fixed on a lazy stare. He is considered by most to be an unattractive man by conventional standards. His eyes are a bit too large for his head and his ears stick out comically. Has a tattoo of a fish hook on his right deltoid that is always concealed by his clothes.

Cool as a cucumber and laid back like a recliner are ways to describe Clyde. Or at least his outer shell. In truth, Clyde is a rather emotional child on the inside and often misunderstands those around him. He tends to avoid confrontation when it concerns himself, allowing others to bully him physically or verbally. But if those close to him are threatened, he sheds away his outer shell revealing a fierce monster underneath. However, a good ol' fashioned apology goes a long way. Clyde tries his best to not hold grudges. He enjoys the company of others and does his best to speak to new faces. But he is a bit awkward with his words and clumsy ways. The boy takes pride in his own physical abilities preferring to not rely on his abilities if necessary, which is why he enjoys lifting at the gym.
Clyde has a problem speaking to any female or those with feminine appearances. His words become stuttered and his focus becomes a bit lost. This is prevalent with women his own age or close to it. He has an easier time speaking to much older or younger women such as teaching staff, children, or parents. He also has a hard time expressing his emotions which is why he keeps such a calm and chilled demeanor. The boy has a habit of over talking, being too nosy, or giving people unwanted nicknames.

Clyde Lee comes from a wealthy family with riches based upon the fishing industry in Colbar (his hometown). As a young lad, he and his siblings would often go down to the ocean and fish their days away. Spending his days under the sun, Clyde grew into a strong boy able to haul in large creatures from the waters and carry heavy loads upon his shoulders. His family is made of strong mages and familiars that were very supporting of one another. His parents and siblings take pride in their magical or ability finesse whereas Clyde was always a bit different. The boy loved to work with his hands and perform without the aid of abilities or magic. Because of this attitude, Clyde spend many hours working out or pushing his body to peak performance. He also spent many hours practicing his favorite sport, boxing. Thus, the majority of his stories consist of beasts he hunted, fish he caught, and tales of bravado in the face of danger. Generations of his family attended Saint Fortuna's Academy, and thus came Clyde's turn. Coming from a wealthy family certainly made the process easy and Clyde has definitely kept up with his studies to be granted admittance. He hopes to make his family and future partner proud.

Despite having a strict diet regiment, Clyde has a massive sweet tooth.
1. What is your character's greatest regret?
When he was a child, Clyde witnessed his friend drowning in the ocean. The only thing he did was cry and call for help. He regretted not having the strength to swim for his friend. He blames himself for the death of his friend and makes it a point to always help a person in need.
2. Your character is home alone after watching a horror movie and they hear a strange sound. What do they do?
Investigate! Nerves are running high, and there is danger in the air, but Clyde is a master of his own domain.
3. Two of your characters’ friends are fighting over something trivial, and they want them to stop. How do they go about this?
In Clyde's experience, nothing good ever comes about saying things to hurt someone else. Calm minds and chilled vibes is a good peacemaker. The point of an argument is not to “win”, but to make both parties understand the other point.
4. While your character is on their way to class, they realize they forgot something crucial. They’re already on the verge of running late. What do they do?
Ride it out, man. Bite the bullet instead of being tardy. It is much better to ask for forgiveness and work with what you have.
5. If your character had the opportunity to turn into any animal, what would that animal be?
Bush Elephant. They look so strong and carefree. Their sense of community and family really appeals to Clyde.
6. If your character’s house were on fire, and they only had time to save one thing from their room, what would it be?
A box of photographs or a scrap book. Possessions are trivial and replaceable. Memories are important.
7. What season does your character like best and why?
Summer. Warm air, clear skies, and the fish are always biting. Go in the morning when the air is cool and you've got a good start to a day.
8. Vacation! You character gets to spend a week anywhere! Where is it and what do they do?
Somewhere that is famous for their baked goods. Though Clyde tries his best to keep it a secret, he always wanted to tour a place where he can eat sweets to his heart's content.
@Klaykid Not strictly. If you're 8-9 hours into your wait time and someone else is waiting on you, it’s not like we’ll kick ya of posting. The time limit is just there to 1)Prevent point farming and 2)Allow others a chance to post before situations move too fast.
And in other news, Congratulations! You’re accepted! You’ve got a tricky Ability! Your Ability is Flash Prescience! Flash prescience is a rare psychic Ability, that gives you instinctive knowledge of an enemy’s move 1 second before it hits you! This gives you an opportunity to try and dodge the hit! However, it has its limits. Without a mage, you can only see 1 second ahead of you, and only focus on one incoming attack at a time. You also don’t have super reflexes or super tactics as a result of this, so you may not be able to avoid every attack. In addition, anything moving faster than you that you won’t be able to dodge will hit you. But, with training, you can learn to detect multiple incoming attacks at once, and perhaps even gain a second or two on that attack detection! Pretty handy!
Personality: Generally, Rain puts on a front. She doesn't know you. She doesn't like you. You will not be friends anytime soon. That is just how she likes it. Rain can be kind of hard to read and anyone who first meets her will assume she's some punk who likes to break rules and cause mischief. While she enjoys a good dose of mayhem and mischief, she actually does respect the rules given and understands that magic needs to be controlled and contained. She is an artist in both the drawing and musical sense. She loves to strum her guitar and let the world pass her by. She is intelligent, though her attitude and appearance deceive that notion. She isn't lazy and enjoys learning She doesn't like authority figures or those who try to use said authority to get what they want, especially bullies. She will not shy away from confrontation. If you manage to get on her good side, she can be as loyal an ally as they come.
Biography: Rain was born to two free-thinking people (thus her name). Rather than growing up in a comfortable home setting, going to school like most other kids, her parents raised her in a traveling band. Her mother had a beautiful voice and her father played the guitar really well. Though magic ran in their blood, her parents didn't rely on it. They preferred to woo with their music than with their powers. Rain never really understood this. Why have magic if you didn't use it?
As she got older, she began practicing with magic. Her older brother found out and told on her. Her parents were disappointed but didn't really do much other than scold her. They helped her along and gave her her own guitar. She would practice and eventually got really good. However, the yearn to keep doing magic called her and, on her off time, would continue to practice. Her older brother had very little aptitude for magic or for music. Their parents never said much, instead, they had him helping off stage. Jealousy reared its ugly head and he lashed out at Rain. He ratted out the fact she still continued to practice magic.
Her parents were dissapointed. They sent Rain off to live with her grandparents as a sort of punishment. She went to school and found she actually kind of enjoyed it. However, she would act up in class whenever a teacher was "out of line" and got into fights. She caused trouble and the school didn't know what to do with her. While she was a trouble maker, she still had high marks in class and still was a capable magic user.
The answer came in the form of an invitation. St. Fortuna's Academy. A school where she could practice her craft away from her family, away from the boundaries of everyday life. She begged her grandparents approval. Because they still loved her (and because they didn't want to deal with her much longer) they allowed her to attend.
Likes: Music, Playing the Guitar, Writing in her Journal, Drawing, Dying her hair, Other's Misfortune, Sarcasm, Having Fun
Dislikes: Authority, Being Punished, Her Older Brother, Bullies, Perky Attitudes, Others Judging Her Art/Music
Misc.: Rain's journal is under lock and key. The key is usually on a necklace on her person.

1. What is your character's dream career? She'd like to start her own band. Or go solo. She hasn't decided yet.
2. Your character is caught telling a lie/cheating. How do they react? She shrugs it off. What are you going to do about it? Go ahead, punish her. She dares you!
3. Your character finds out someone close to them has been lying to them. How do they react? Really, is she so surprised? This is why she rarely gets close to people, they will only let you down in the end.
4. If your character were given $50, what would they do with it? Spend it on music or art supplies, or save up for a new guitar. State of the art. In pink! Or red! Or black!
5. Someone close to your character gives them something very important and asks them to hold on to it until they come back. However, your character somehow loses it. What do they do? At first, she would play it off that she didn't really care, but as it is someone close to her, she would feel really guilty and offer to make it up to that person. Perhaps go search for it? Or offer to replace it?
6. Your character is given the chance to perfect any one talent. What do they choose? She'd like to be a better singer. She isn't bad, but she's far from her mother's voice. She would relish the opportunity to improve on that.
7. What is your character’s favourite book or movie genre? Why? She loves a good mystery book. It's fun to try to figure it out and the suspense and thrills keep her entertained. Plus there's usually death in them.
8. Who does your character admire/look up to? She looks up to her parents. She doesn't hate them for sending her away. She kind of understands it, though she wishes they would understand her desires. Despite that, they are doing what they love, live by their own moral code, and don't care how other people view them. That is something she can appreciate.
@FantasyChic I'm sorry but the only way into the school is by buying your way in or by getting a scholarship. Your character wouldn't be invited ever, they need to apply to the school.
Also, it's really strange that her parents dislike her using magic so much. This is a world where half the populace are mages and kids probably need training to make sure they didn't hurt themselves with their powers. It's also strange that the brother is so unadept that he apparently never had to worry about his magic getting out of hand. You can be unfairly talented in magic but you still need a bit of training to make sure you don't hurt anyone.
Speaking of magic training, most mages and every mage in this rp, wouldn't really have their magic manifest until they were 15, so their first year of high school. And every mage in this rp starts out only being able to summon their magical element. If she already has trained some then she would be far more advanced than anyone else in the rp, and especially self-taught and without a familiar that's not likely.
Name: Korrigan 'Korrey' Umbraisis Image or Description: Age: 16 Gender: Male Orientation: Straight Mage or Familiar: Familiar Ability: N/A Partner: (Leave this blank until your partner is announced) Personality: Generally described as ‘upbeat’, ‘happy’, and ‘only scary on the outside’, Korrey is a happy-go-lucky guy who is always willing to give people the benefit of the doubt, even when it may go against his better judgement. Not only that, but Korrey can also be described as a bit of an adrenaline junkie, always on the look-out for the next new and exciting stunt or event to catch his eye. Biography: Korrey came from a little less than nothing, a street urchin from Erridún struggling to make ends meet, while also doing his pest to not get dragged into picking-pockets for the local crime bosses of his district, though that led to many a day with little in his gut but bile, stomach acid, and hopelessness. Still, dire as his circumstances were, he never let it get to him. He always tried to keep his mind focused on the positives, convinces that his luck would change any day. And one day, they did just that, as he did managed to get into a nice boarding school after stopping some old man from getting attacked in the street from some thugs by making it seem like the police were on there way, then helping the old man get back on his feet.
That old man, he’d later find out, was the grandfather of one of the bigger crime family heads, who soon took Korrey in after hearing about his good deed. Being 12 years old at the time, Korrey fortunes took a swift turn as his patron quickly sought to cleaning him up and giving him an education in exchange for saving his dully respected grandfather. It was during these four years that it’d be made clear that Korrey was quite the talented student, quick on the upkeep whether it be his studies or sports. The only place where he seemed to struggle was using his abilities. Even for a Familiar without a Mage, his displays of power were considerably pitiful. Still, with years of catching up to do, he showed a strange, single minded-determination to succeed, wanting to prove his patron proud, even if he didn’t approve of their less-than-legal business ventures. No matter how well hidden his patron tried to keep their criminal activties from the boy, he was able to soon pick out the pieces and fit them into a proper picture. However, he never let on to it, nor informed the police or Adventure guilds of his knowledge. A good citizen is what Korrey always strived to be, but what kind of man would he be if he turned in the man who had given him some many opportunities, as well as a huge family to call his own.
Throw both his work ethic, determination, and skill, and his patron’s wide wealth of resources and favors, Korrey managed to make it into St. Fortuna, though to say his first year was a bit of a challenge would be an understatement. Not only were the courses extremely difficult, but the culture shock hit him like a bus, with many of the other kids being somewhat put off by his tendency to curse, make the occasional offensive joke, and over-all casual nature for which he seemed to treat everything. Even his first partner seemed to think his admittance here a mistake, and tended to try and have as little to do with him as possible, despite his attempts to placate. As such, he barely managed to pass through his first year, but instead of discouraging him, he simply let it all roll of his back, determined to make this next go around a hell of a lot better. Likes: Sword-fighting, Sparring, Martial Arts, Scaring/surprising people, Reading, hanging out in the shade, Sky-diving, Snow-boarding, Adventuring(wants to be part of an adventuring guild more than anything else) Dislikes:Bullies, Moths, bugs, getting wet, People who judge others without trying to get to know them, Sitting still for long stretches of time, His foster family’s side business Points: Proficiency:1 Intelligence:5 Athletics:4 Misc.:
His appearances is tied to his ability and he’s kinda touchy about it.
Doesn’t curse a heck of a lot, but probably more than most due to how he was raised
Is a bit of a romantic
Is also kind of shy around girls
Allergic to pollen, causes his powers to flare up
Likes to keep a fake-sword on his person when on his free time off-school grounds(and when on the grounds if allowed) so that he can spontaneously burst into sparring
Has a pet snake named Festus and a pet bearded lizard named Vulcan
The connections between his patron and organized crime aren’t widely known at the moment, though some due speculate. It’s currently believe that the head of the family is just your average wealthy businessman, with their business being medical research on the creation of new drugs to help cure diseases or ease pain.
Also, unless you would want it too, the crime side of his family would never factor into the RP at all except for him having a bit of anxiety over the connection being found out and the possibility of him accidentally spilling this rather huge secret to someone, which would definitely ruin his chances at staying at the school, I’d think.
Quiz Answers:
1. What is your character's greatest regret? “Uh. . . dunno, never really think about stuff like that. I mean, if you spend time thinkin’ on what you should’ve done in the past, that takes time away from thinking about what you’re gonna do in the present. I mean, if that’s how you want to spend your time on earth, you do you. Me? I’ve got a half-pipe with my name on it in 5 minutes.” 2. Your character is home alone after watching a horror movie and they hear a strange sound. You’re really going to waste time arguing about this now? We’ve got class in five, and more importantly, it’s not that big of a deal. I ain’t going to get yelled at because you two fuckers don’t know how to settle things like civilized people.” 4. 5. If your character had the opportunity to turn into any animal, what would that animal be? “Damn, that’s a real, fuckin’ head-scratcher, that is. Uh. . . No, wait. . . tiger-dragon. Yep, going to be a tiger-dragon. . . That’s not a thing, you say? Well, you never specified it had to be a real animal so . . . still counts.” 6. 7. What season does your character like best and why? “Summer, cause it’s the best time to do anything, plus there’s no school, which means more time to myself or to hang out with my friends.”
8. Vacation! You character gets to spend a week anywhere! Where is it and what do they do? “Why just choose anyone place when I can go world trotting. I’d probably try to go all over Pyrin, or at least as much of it as I realistically could, try and take in the sights, feel the breeze, etc.etc. Like, really, why limit yourself?”
Password: “Meat. Give me some big, juicy, delicious slices of any kind of meat, and I’m as happy as can be.”
