Character Sheet Template


Name. If your character is from Cocoon, you will have a first name and last name, as per normal western naming convention. If your character is from Pulse, your name is structured differently. The first word is the town you are from, the second is the name of your tribe (basically our last names), and the third word is the name people call you. For example, Paddra Nsu Yeul would be called Yeul by her friends, is from the area of Paddra, and her tribe is the Nsu tribe. Pulse names typically have a foreign flair to them. Try to avoid standard English names like “Jake” or “Samantha.” Instead, you could have “Jaako” or “Samara.”

Paradigm Role. Put your roles in the order you intend to get them. Role 1 will be the role of your Summon (See OOC). Role 2 will be available at the beginning of the RP. Role 3 will be unlocked a couple missions in. There is no need to list the final three roles since they all will be unlocked at the same time.

Age. Anything within reason. As we are part of a military operation, you need a reeeally good reason to have a character under the age of 18. In all circumstances, I would like to avoid going younger than Hope at 14, but older than 40 is a possibility.

Gender. Any gender is acceptable, but be aware that these cultures are prone to discrimination. Non-binary or non-cis individuals will likely be discriminated against in some form.

Place of birth. Cocoon or Pulse. A hometown would be nice as well.

Brand location. Where is your l'Cie brand located?

Description. Pictures are also welcome, but please also give a brief description of the character. Any race that’s present on Earth can be used as well.

Backstory/Personality. What motivates your character? Why are they part of a covert operation of peace? Why aren’t they running from the enemy forces? Who did they leave behind? Did they lose someone in the initial attack? Personally, I like most of these to remain hidden until explained IC, but everyone should have an answer to the above questions, and everyone should have at least a paragraph or two of public information here.

HP / STR / MAG: - Each number is between 1-6. Sum of all three must equal 12. 6 is strongest.

Weapon: See OOC for more info. No, seriously. It’s more important than it seems.

Squad Role: Every character will have something to contribute to the squad. The roles of Quartermaster (supplies and inventory manager), Intelligence Officer (gathers information and decides where to go next), and Chef (cooks food for the group) are already taken. Our groups will need to be fairly autonomous. We will need pretty much everything that a group would need for long-term survival, from a cook to a tracker. If you can think of a job, we probably need it. Feel free to make any information up that you think fleshes out this role. If it doesn’t fit, I’ll let you know. For reference, we do have a handful of ally NPCs that won’t be fighting with us.

Description: 5' 4", Lean, but muscular. Brown eyes, long dark brown hair, dark skin. Something that seems counter to his confidence and upbringing is his oddly manicured hands and fantastic sense of fashion. When not in combat, Julian dons his tophat and likes to kick back. He is also left-handed. He carries a fashionable cane, but it doesn’t appear he needs it to walk.

Backstory/Personality. Julian was always smart, usually to the point of getting himself into trouble. However, due to his family’s upbringing, he could never afford the more expensive universities in Eden and Palumpolum. Instead, Julian was relegated to a subpar law school and joined a law firm as a file clerk where his talents were rarely recognized. After the attack on Cocoon, Julian immediately quit his job and joined the Guardian Corps. His talents were quickly recognized, and Julian was promoted to the lieutenant of a non-combat squad. After learning some damning information about the Sanctum, Julian and his squad turned rogue and began feeding information to both sides. When forced into combat, Julian leverages his size and speed to catch his opponents off-guard. He might act over-confident in fights, but he cares deeply about those who work for him.

Weapon: Canes (part of the Wands category). Initial weapon is an oak cane trimmed with an ornate gold-leaf pattern.

Squad Role: Intelligence Officer. As part of his previous job, Julian developed several contacts with those who generally are considered the scum of society: hackers, black-market dealers, etc. He has an intricate network of intel that has never steered him wrong... yet.

Description: Nadia still wears the clothes of her village and her tribe, which is finer than other villages and tribes on Pulse. The village’s clothes are very vibrant in colors, the primary color is red, the second color is pink, the third color is green, and the fourth and final color is silver. She wears a green t-shirt, covering a pink bra, and wears red with silver outlines of a skirt, and wears pink panties and her shoes are the basic pulse fashion. Her shoes are basically like Vanille’s shoes, just dyed green. She has beautiful blue eyes, with brown hair, which is in a ponytail at most times or it can be not in a ponytail. She is 5’1” in height and she weighs about 125 pounds.

She is right handed and uses her weapon in the right hand.

Personality: Nadia’s personality is very much similar to all the people who lived in the Village of Yaschas Peak and in the Dia Tribe. She very much respected the elders, and she was very kind and thoughtful to everyone. She respected the Village’s rules and feared the consequences of not following them. She was deeply saddened when the Village Elder, Yaschas Dia Burhan died peacefully in his sleep in front of her and they had to bury him because of it. She always wondered if the Village Elder ever met his wife in the heavens after he died.

She got a shock of her life when her older sister Yaschas Dia Selima left the village and never allowed her to see, her weapon either. This devastated Nadia and she closed her shell and was slightly more cold to everyone within the village especially her younger sister. Nadia took a long time to open up but it was too late since a certain thing happened to her. She decided to leave the village since she couldn’t decide to do anything. She still has a lot of stuff on her mind though because of certain events in her life.

She knows she is allowed to return to the village of Yaschas Peak since they are a very welcoming lot to their own and mostly because she needs time to herself. She uses the shimmering of her weapon, as a calming tool to remind her of better days within the Village of Yaschas Peak.

Backstory: Nadia lived in the Village of Yaschas Peak with her tribe, the Dia tribe for most of her life with her older sister Selima and her mother Hanaa and her father Fahd. She gained a little sister by the name of Rasha and she was happier than anything. The Village Elder by the name of Burhan was the oldest and most wise of the group and usually helped the young ones in finding their way and giving them a weapon of their choice to use in their future.

The Village Elder helped Nadia in getting her Scythe, which is reddish black handle and the blade of the scythe itself shimmers in the night since it somewhat has a mind of its own. She was told by her elder to train furiously with this weapon so she can tame the beast within. Since it is a folk tale by the elder to keep the younger children from going outside of the Village that the evils within the weapons will steal their souls. However, the Scythe is calm when Nadia holds her since she has never once tried to break the laws of the village.

The Village Elder told Nadia about his dream leave to the heavens and join with his wife, who passed away before Nadia was born. Nadia was shocked in hearing the Village Elder speak this way and then it happened in front of her eyes, the village elder died in front of her with a peaceful smile. The funeral of the village elder was the hardest task for everyone in the village to do since they loved Yaschas Dia Burhan with all their heart since he was a kind man. The village of peak picked Nadia’s family to be the Village Elders since they were the most knowledgeable in all things that go into the village. Her father and mother enjoyed to do this since they were very honored but there was a problem.

Yaschas Dia Selima wasn’t happy about this and she was never heard from again after that point. Her family was devastated when Selima left to who knows where. Nadia, on the other hand, was the most devastated because of this since she was trying to learn her sister’s weapon she got from the Village Elder.

Weapon: Dream Scythe (Starter Weapon) - Her scythe is reddish black on the handle up towards the bladed part of the scythe, the scythe blade itself is colored bluish red and can shimmer multitude of colors at night.

The Scythe’s blade folds itself on the entire scythe as a protective metallic covering, expect one small portion of it. The handle part folds four times. Nadia’s hand fits into the small portion which isn’t covered by the blade. It looks like a small metal pole on Nadia’s back.

Squad Role: Chef - She cooks food for the soldiers since she has experience in this field because of what she had to do when she was younger and with her mother and father she had to cook dinner a lot. She is a really good cook.

Description: Kirta looks young for his age. He has black hair, green eyes. He wears a clean, white, sleeveless, button up shirt. Black slacks.
If you've ever seen Blue Exorcist and Magi: take Rin Okumura's clothes and put them on Ren Kouha and that's pretty much what he looks like.

Personality: Kirta is a highly intelligent individual, but rather than spend time hitting the books, he'd rather hit the enemy with the sharp side of his blade. He is generally amiable, but once he gets into one of his "moods" you best watch out.
In combat, he can get a little... crazy. He loves the sight of blood and relishes hurting others and killing.
He his incredibly independent and keeps to himself. He cares little for others and would use them to get what he wants.

Background: Kirta is only participating in this op to get closer to the action. All he wants is to kill.
He doesn't remember his parents. They weren't really around, always out. He was an after thought to most. A nuisance. No one really paid any mind to him growing up. As such, he watches out for himself and trusts no one. He joined the Guardian Corps after the attack to try and find his purpose. Despite the incident, he found himself a place within their ranks and never looked back.

Description: Noir is ambidextrous but his dominant hand is his right hand. He is 5 foot 11 inchs tall. His body is toned and tanned. Noir allows his hair and beard to get unruly to misdirect people's perceptions of him. His typical clothes is a traditional tribal set of clothes of his clan. The clothes are rugged and suitable for most temperate climates.

Backstory:Although Noir decides to fight in the war, he does it out of necessity for survival, rather than a desire to exterminate the people from Cocoon. Noir has choose the role of Quartermaster and Navigator for his squad as it is one of the more pacifist-oriented jobs that the army offers and one that he has some experience and familiarity with doing them. He opts for operations with minimal risk of death for both sides but still hinders the enemies’ efforts to cause unnecessary deaths.

Although Noir had an average childhood, for a Pulsian, it was not one without hardship. Noir wears the ring of his dead grandmother, who took him in after his parents were killed on a hunting expedition, when Noir was five years old. His grandfather was dead before Noir was born and he did not make an effort to learn about him. Noir grew up, learning about maps of the region from one of the trackers of his tribe. When he was old enough to work, Noir also had to spend time with the Skinner and bowmaker.

Personality:Noir is a pacifist at heart but the years of tough living has given him a hard and serious exterior. He is often described protective of and fiercely loyal to those who gained his trust but to others, Noir is wary and tends to be on the defensive. He pay attention to the minor details. Noir prefers to let the role leadership fell to someone else but he will challenge the leader if the need arises

Description: Madeleine has long blond hair and emerald eyes. She stands 5'5 and is a bit on the petite side. Her body type is very feminine and athleticism is not her strong suit. However, her experience in the military has made her capable enough to get by in most situations. She prefers to wear light clothing that do no weigh her down, but will put on heavier gear when the task demands it. Madeleine typically keeps her hair down or loosely bound and has rarely been known to get fancied up.

Backstory: The war has begun to take its toll on everyone. Born and raised in Eden, Madeleine began studying medicine in her teens and began formal training as she grew older, with the intention of becoming doctor. It was her older brother, Sebastian, who swayed her decision from practicing as a civilian to contributing to the war effort. Being extremely close to her brother, and unable to stand the thought of anything happening to him, Madeleine volunteered to serve when Sebastian went off to fight in the war. As a new uniformed medic Madeleine started off treating casualties in an emergency clinic as they came in from battle. As the intensity grew and the demands on the battlefield increased, however, she found herself going out with special units to provide medical support on the ground as well as treatment during evacuation back to Eden. She began to learn other skills as well that enabled her to support the warfighters during missions.

Madeleine's main concern continued to be for her brother. However, Sebastian began following a path that led him deeper and deeper into the world of clandestine operations, and one day he simply did not return to Eden. Distraught without any idea if Sebastian was still alive, Madeleine resigned herself to serving wherever she was needed.

Personality: Madeleine is a sweet girl and gentle by nature. She has never fully adapted to the violence of battle but has trained herself to stay focused amidst the chaos. In the clinic she is shy and reserved. She remains ever the optimist during the toughest situations, and her smile has been known to bring comfort to the injured and inspiration to those with whom she works during missions.

Description:
Nyxia stands 5 feet 7 inches with a slender build. She wears clothes exactly like what Oerba Yun Fang's but in shades of black, purple and green. Being in a tribe closely related to the Yun tribe, it is not strange that their choice of clothes are similar, if not identical. What sets her apart from the rest of her tribe is her hair and eye color. While all of the Xin tribe has light colored hair (blonde to light brown) and dark brown eyes, Nyxia has purple hair she wears mostly in a braid down her back (reaches mid back in a braid, reaches waist length when worn out of a braid) and blue eyes.

As a child, her mother was fond of putting flowers in her hair and placing vibrant jewels around her neck to contrast with and emphasize the strange color of her hair. As a result, she grew up being fond of trinkets. She wears several necklaces on her neck, a nose ring and a circlet of crystal buds on her head.

Backstory:
Nyxia comes from a long line of healers and was training to be one just before the start of the story. She noticed that her father, a particularly skilled healer in the tribe, would constantly leave the village in constant search of something he refused to talk about. Unknown to Nyxia, her father had been branded a l'Cie by Anima, the fal'Cie Oerba looks to as their village patron to protect them from hostile wildlife. Curious to where her father disappears to, she planned on following him but was found out and stopped by her mother. When asked about it, older woman remained tightlipped.

On a particularly bright and sunny day, Nyxia was practicing with her blades in the field when a monstrous Cieth lumbered into Oerba, successfully killing a handful of people and leaving more injured. Hearing the screams of her people, Nyxia hurried back to the village and angaged the monster. With the help of the other warriors, they eventually managed to bring down the monster. The purple haired girl, exhausted but still willing to help out, turned her attention to the injured. She was horrified to see familiar people and close friends dead but determined not to let the grief overwhelm her, she focused on healing the wounded. One of the injured was her mother. No matter how hard Nyxia tried to heal her, the older woman's injuries were just too severe that she soon refused her daughter's help, insisting she use her powers on people who had a better chance at surviving.

Overcame with grief, Nyxia held her dying mother in her arms. The older woman reached up and laid a hand on her cheek, praising her for what she had become and what she had achieved. Before she succumbed to death, she told her daughter that the Cieth that had attacked the village was in fact her father, a branded l'Cie who had failed to fulfill his focus.

The revelation put Nyxia in shock that she stayed frozen on the spot, her dead mother cradled in her arms. Had she been able to help out with the injured, a lot more could have survived. But she remained rooted where she was, her mind numb and not fully able to wrap itself around the fact that the monster that had killed and injured so many and the same monster that she had dealt the fatal blow to was her father.

After the events of that day, Nyxia became withdrawn, her mind twisting her views on herself, making her believe that she is capable only of bringing death and destruction just like the Cieth she still refused to think of as her father. Refusing to continue on with her training and loathing the fal'Cie she once paid homage to, she set to wander the world to try to make sense of what happened and perhaps to find herself. She left the village and wandered around Pulse and eventually found herself caught up in the war between Cocoon and Pulse.

Personality:
Nyxia is a quiet individual who prefers to be by herself most times, quietly observing those around her. It's not that she has no social abilities -- she used to be a friendly, cheerful girl -- but due to her past, she tries to keep away from most in the fear of ending up hurting them. While she has healing capabilities, she is reluctant to use them as she is convinced that she can do more harm than good.

Chained blades: the chain connecting the two blades is 1 meter in length and wraps around Nyxia's waist when not in use, the blades secured in their scabbards strapped on both side of her hips. Description: Her often messy brown hair falls just above her waist, but is usually seen kept up in braids and buns for convenience. Her large blue eyes and long eyelashes take away a few years from her appearance, added with her short height of 5’1” and rather petite stature. However, the numerous scars and bruises that cover her tanned body may inform some that she’s been around just slightly longer than it appears.

Riya dresses in shades of deep blues. She wears a silky, hooded blue robe with decorative patterns sewn on its hems. The robe falls to the middle of her thighs, and beneath it she wears tight black clothing. A single strapped black shirt and black tights, decoratively ripped on her left thigh to aesthetically salvage where they’d been burnt in the past. Around her waist is a dark blue sash with white decorative patterns securing her robe- further securing it is a dark brown leather belt with white animal furs draped along her right side, and another belt with a leather pouch on her left side. She wears short brown leather boots that match the shade of her belt, with only a half-inch heel for the sake of comfort. On her hands she wears short gloves- the palms made of simple black material, and the backs made of leather. Her right hand’s glove extends further, giving her a leather guard on her right arm. Adorning her neck, legs and arms are colorful beaded jewelry, many pieces made for her by friends and family.

Backstory/Personality. Riya has a calm and quiet demeanor and usually chooses not to speak more than needed with people she doesn’t know. Being an esteemed hunter in her tribe, she demands respect from those around her. Although never at the forefront of battle, she is considered a highly valuable ally; her objective in hunting is always to use a monster’s weaknesses to her hunting party’s advantage, as well as their surroundings. While she still does her best to enjoy restful moments, she has little patience for nonsense and less for recklessness. Having extensive knowledge of the monsters in Pulse and a good teaching disposition, Riya was often given the task of assisting with the training of new hunters. Because of this, she is quite familiar with the fears of new hunters- and even of mourning them.

Description: Molly is a Moogle, one of a race of small fluffy white individuals with wings and pom poms. Molly's pom pom is a crystal which has imbued her with magical abilities. She is about 16 inches tall, and doesn't sit still long enough for people to weigh her. She has a penchant for dressing up in piratey outfits, and can hover a few feet off the ground. She could probably fly higher but is afraid of heights. She is most definitely NOT cute.

Backstory/Personality. Molly is not a l'Cie, but has come across the party and decided to assist. She began her existence in the Gapra Whitewood, a synthetic forest operated by the Sanctum to produce militarized versions of Pulse creatures. Molly harbors no ill-will towards either Pulse or Cocoon, but strongly dislikes the ongoing conflict. She would prefer everyone get along peacefully, but until that happens, she will do everything in her power to help her allies.

Description:

Isis is a dark-olive toned, lithe man that stands at 6'2. He holds himself with the dignity of a trained soldier, shoulders squared, head back, and almost always having a hand resting on his weapon. Though usually clothed in bards gear for the sake of being overlooked as well as a simple white mask to hide his L'Cie and identity, Isis was formally quite proud of announcing his presence with his shock of white hair and unsettling pale grey eyes. Being the type that it's difficult to put on weight even if he attempted to, his body shows little outward definition despite his relative strength. He carries other masks on his hip to ironically switch out masks based on his emotions, displaying a certain awareness to how he presents himself

Backstory/Personality.
Isis comes from a family of performers. From a young age, he learned to enjoy the acrobatic prowess of his lineage as well as developing fundamental skills in rallying crowds by playing music or singing. As a boy, he was cocky and adored the spotlight to the point of becoming problematic in drawing attention away from others in his troupe. The Guardian Corps that spoke to him in his dead-eyed state once he'd found help had been little help in finding whoever had done his family ill. After staying in one of their residences for a few days while his placement was sorted out, a stray officer happened to recognize him from his performances. Higher ups were spoken to, and despite his youth was approached by the PSICOM's for housing, and when he came of age, training. His acrobatics were sought after by them for their own purposes. Feeling that his parents had only died because he did not listen to their authority, Isis bent to their need of him.

His cocky nature was replaced with a quiet one that became easily flustered in the face of personal sacrifice. A sense of dread and anxiety overwhelms the tall former performing artist when confronted with making decisions. It made him the perfect candidate for the Recon division under the Special Ops of PSICOM. He had no issue killing those marked with L'Cie, or others he was ordered under. His panic became overwhelming seeing a mark dawn on his own face, of all places, surrounded by comrades that would take no guilt in seeing his undoing. Isis fled, quickly, quietly, out the boarding house in search of what his L'Cie displayed to him. Tension gnaws in the back of his mind.

When speaking, her diction normally suffers from no inflection, emotion, or prosody, unless she forces it awkwardly. Compounded with the bedazzled dress and veil to preserve her outward vanity, subconscious facial cues become non-existent in interrogation or diplomacy. Stilettos are often a must, to allow her to accentuate her 5' 7'' height. Her ironically multicolored, collapsible belt also can be manipulated into a large hula hoop, with additional aggressive features. B.R.A.X. can often times be found alone, rocking back and forth or finger tracing her wardrobe, while standing, when deep in thought or in pursuant of lengthy calculations.

Once shipped across the void into the opposing planet, all of B.R.A.X.'s mechanical siblings were digitally initiated before their chambers' hatches were opened to Archylte Steppe. The first conscious thought B.R.A.X. possessed was, "This feels different." As she stood up and tested her various limbs, her automata brethren robotically filed out. Instead of following suit, she paced her chamber, back and forth for 42 seconds. That's when she noticed the empty salle and a hint of loneliness. Upon leaving the pod, B.R.A.X.'s processors struck upon an anomaly, "RETURN TO THE FORMATION." But... She didn't feel the need to listen. As she strayed away from the scattered entourage combatting against water-elementals, her metal corpus...
