Alice

Victor's remark about her condition was exactly why she avoided him in the first place. Still, she couldn't let him get away with talking to her like that, especially in front of others. If Caspen or her father were here they most likely wouldn't let Victor speak to her like this. But even though Mag and Nik were with her, it still felt like she was alone in this battle. "Seeing you around grants me enough heart attacks dear brother. And when I do succumb to it, my funeral will be marvelous, I'll go out like many of pharaohs and kings of ancient times, bury my pets and servants with me. Although all I have is Sarah so we don't have to spend too much on coffins. Oh but don't worry brother I'll make sure you'll get an invite." She smiles at him, trying to stay calm and not let her voice shake so much. But inside it was eating her up, her irregular heart beat seem to grow louder and drown out her thoughts. But she couldn't show him that she was hurt.

Elizabeth 'Liz'

When Gunnar invited her to help him with, his brief happiness apparent to the young vampire, Liz flauntered past the guards, thanking them on the way past. Liz entered the room, closing the door behind her. She looked at her surroundings. The 'plain ole' infirmary. It was practically her second home in her earlier years, although her meetings in the infirmary were lately less common, yet, she still knew the place top-to-bottom.

Her brown eyes flittered to the new additions of the room. First the young girl Caspen was feeding off. Thanks to Gunnar's magic she looked quite alright. Liz coulded help but think she was at least a little responsible for the girl's survival. She would be in a lot of pain waking up, mentally and physically. "I'm sorry," she mutters before turning to the man whom Gunnar was working on. She didn't recognize him at all. Gunnar calls for her to grab a bag of O-, which she does swiftly as possible. Quickly she hands it to the General. "Where did you find him?" she inquires, putting her hair up in a dodgy bun, tying it off with the hairband on her wrist. It was no artwork but it would do.

Niklaus
Nik smiled at Maggie. "A ghost would be way more interesting than what's up there," he lied before watching people rush around the castle like maniacs. "I don't know," He said before Alice and Victoria came into view.

"You know I'm not a big party person, Vic," he said lightly before Victor opened his mouth. One of his siblings was always starting something. He really wanted to look at all of the commotion.
"
"Maggie, let's go see if anyone needs out help. Victor, be nice," he said before pulling Maggie in the opposite direction, watching Caspen come down the stairs.

Caspen
Caspen walked downstairs just in time to see Victor and Alice getting into a screaming match. Victor was a always a prick. "Jesus, Victor shut the hell up!" Caspen snapped. His sister was his best friend and he wasn't going to let anyone let alone King Prick himself.

Tarquin
Tarquin stuck his tongue. "Just cause I'm not a Giantor, doesn't mean I don't got this, " he said trying to move forward before falling backwards on his butt. He was about to swear before he saw a a servant running their way.

Gunnar

Gunnar grunts "He was found banging on the doors of the castle..." He takes the blood back and cuts a hole into it and hands it to the man. "Drink slowly... Don't want you to choke on your first meal in decades...."

Magnus

Magnus chuckles at Quin, taking the shield and when the servant runs up.

"General Gunnar has news. A man was found at the door bleeding heavily... The general is fixing him up since the doctor is out of town..."

Magnus sighs. "Alright... I'll check on it in a bit. You know how Gunnar gets when he's focused... I'll let him get back to his usual self before I poke my head in." The servant nods and scampers off. Magnus looks down at Quin. "Need a hand up, young prince?" He squats and holds out a hand.

Tarquin "Quin"
Quin huffed making his hair push slightly upwards from his forehead. He took Magnus' hand wondering about the commotion inside but glad he was in the quiet outdoors with Magnus. "I could've handled that. I just stumbled is all because of Fang," he said matter-of-factly which had the dog cocking his head slightly at the sound of his name. Quin didn't realize he was still so close to Magnus.

"Poor guy," Liz says softly, her eyes turning to the guy whom was earlier struggling to sit up. Liz moves to the other side of the man and sits and the very edge of the bed. After getting herself comfortable she gently pushes the stranger to a sitting position, her small dainty hand remaining on the man's back, or his armour at least, to keep him sitting up. She looks over at the General, "Who found him?"

Victor
@KimmiNinja @EmzyOfNeverland
He couldn’t show it. He couldn’t allow himself to show that she hit a nerve with Sarah. As far as he knew, Alice had no clue about his feelings. But if she did, she could torture him into numbness. He couldn’t allow that. His eyes did shift to a much piercing gaze. Not one of mere disgust but genuine hatred. “A wooden cross on a plain coffin. I’ll make sure of it.” He said, not yelled. But the words were drenched in venom. “And that heart of yours. I’ll rip it out and preserve it. So every vampire can see what weakness looks like.”

Of course, he completely disregarded his oldest brother. Nik was many things, but firm he was not. Despite being the heir, Victor never felt as if Nik had a very demanding or strong presence. But as his two older siblings went away, another younger one replaced him. Victor couldn’t stand Caspen as much as Alice. “Oh look what the cat dragged in.” he threw at his younger brother. “Had to kiss dad’s feet so he’d forgive you again lately? What was it this time? Wrecked a car? Killed a human?” For Alice, he reserved cold words soaked with poison. But Caspen was supposed to be a man. So Victor could use words like a knife’s edge. He took a step towards his little brother. “You know, Italy really is absolutely stunning this time of the year.” Victor plastered a grin over his face. He could always set off Caspen with Italy. “Been to Florence, lately? Dear little brother?” Another thing he loved. Putting Caspen on his place. As Victor’s little brother. “Or what about Rome?” He wanted to push it further. Shove the blade deeper. But he didn’t. Not because he wouldn’t, but because he couldn’t. He forgot the name of the girl. And the city in which they met.

He couldn’t care less for what either of them said now. He hit his marks and now he genuinely only wanted to catch up with his other siblings. Guessing from all the commotion, most of them were heading towards the infirmary where their new guest was. He turned around, showing his little, foolish, siblings his back and walked towards the infirmary. Not knowing Sarah was at its door.

Alice

As Victor was toying with Caspen, Alice stood by his side and gripped a hand on his arm, letting him know that he was not alone. As soon as Victor mentioned Italy, Alice wanted to lunge at him, tear his voicebox out. But at this point, anything she would say out loud would introduce the shaky tone she's been hiding and the tears she's been holding back. It was breaking her heart knowing how Caspen must have felt.
And as Victor turned around and walked away, Alice let out a long sigh. "Screw him Cas, we can't let him get to us like that." She said in an angry tone. A wild mix of emotions was eating her from the inside. She needed something, a drink, a lover, anything to get her mind distracted.

Sarah

When Sarah gets nervous or worried she starts pacing. The guards must have grown annoyed of it because one of them shouts at her to stop loitering near the door. She apologizes and takes a few steps away from the door and starts pacing there, warranting a sigh from the guard. She didn't know why she was so worried about this stranger, she hasn't even seen the man at all. But the thought of someone dying just a few feet away from her and not being able to help or do anything... put her mind into a frenzy.

Magdalene

Alice's appearance was abrupt, but the news of an unconscious bleeding man was compelling, and caught Maggie's interest. Victor was a welcome face, though the continuous tension and animosity between him and Alice was prominent as ever. "You and I are the decorating team this year?...Well this will be magnificent. I'm so happy your finally home. You've been gone to long." She responded. Maggie was entertained at the idea of being the decorator this time around. Lasts years party had been positively plain, compared to even one of Maggie's more basic parties. It was true, Maggie did tend to go all out and make a show of it. The annual anniversary party was always amusing, and this year it was a ball. Music and dancing was always a popular choice. Millions of ideas began flowing through her head, decorations, candles, flowers arrangements, themes, and color schemes.

Maggie smiled at Victor after he gave a wink, and basically said he was not going to stand in the way of her fun. But then her smiling face turned to one of impatient disapproval as Victor artfully put down Alice. She jabbed her elbow into the side of Vic's ribs, and gave him a look that said, 'Really Victor? Don't start with that rubbish again. So immature.' When Alice was born all weak and fragile, Maggie and most of the family didn't expect her to live. She had never heard of a vampire, who was ill, or had any kind of human medical problem. It was bizarre, and quite a few people in the family felt ether pity, embarrassment, resentment, or shame for the poor baby Alice. Magdalene's view leaned more towards pity with a bit of curiosity thrown in. Alice's condition was an enigma in the vampire world. Maggie was pretty sure Alice knew how she felt about the whole medical issue, but she was also sure Alice knew Maggie loved her.

At Alice's mention of her funeral, Maggie rolled her eyes, and stifled a frown. Death within the family was something she'd thankfully had yet to deal with. She was just about to say something semi reassuring to Alice when Nik grabbed her arm and quickly began to pull her with him down the hall. Magdalene looked behind at her younger siblings, and grinned. "This party will be my best work yet!" She said mischievously to them as Nik and her rounded the corner towards the infirmary where all the chaos was happening.

As if Maggie could help. Anything other then bandaging a paper cut was beyond her expertise. In all her long life, medical understanding was never something she was interested in. Sure she had helped with the birth of her little sister Sasha, but other then that her experience as a physician was null. Once she and Nik entered the room Magdalene just stared at the armored man. She made sure to keep out of the way, and stood back against the wall. Liz, the sweetheart, was being a good attentive nurse, and Maggie really had no reason or desire to but in. Looking at the armor though, she could tell it was authentic 15th century stuff. 'Who is this guy? A vampire who was wounded, starving, and extremely behind with the times.' she thought to herself.

Magnus

Magnus helps Quin up, his hand holding the much smaller one softly, afraid he might hurt him. "Fang is tree feet away... Now, shall we go see about this shield?" He smiles, not really realizing he's never let go of Quin's hand yet.

"Yeah, I can hear you." Carsonomel said, his throat cracking before he slowly drank the blood they provided, his skin recolored and puffed out to normal. "That's much better. Thank you." He could already feel his wounds healing. He turned and stood slowly as he finished the blood they had given him. He didn't need much, as old as he was.

Sarah

At that thought, Sarah's mind slipped back to her past life. As a human that is. Of how she was in a similar situation, only she was the one dying. Only Alice knows about her past life as a prostitute and how it led to her slowly dying in an alleyway. Everyone else's view is that Sarah was a misfortunate human that Alice "graciously" saved in return for a "better" life in the castle. Note the sarcasm on some choice words.
But that was the fine line between her and Alice. If it was Sarah that found a dying and weak person in an alleyway, there would be no hesitation to immediately help with no reward in return. Alice on the other hand, had to get something out of it, otherwise why else would she do it?
Sarah lingered in her thoughts for a few moments more only to snap back into reality when she spots Victor walking towards the infirmary.

"My Teacher and I were traveling to this land a little over one hundred years ago. The battle didn't go well. I lost my Teacher and I was forced to hide and keep myself alive by burying myself underneath the ground just outside of this town and sleeping, but now I have finally made it to where we were headed, with no direction to follow next."

Quin's smile grew as Magnus never let go, a small blush forming on the gingers face. "So, what's it gonna take to fix it?" he asked, making small talk as Fang jumped around him.

Niklaus
Nik led Maggie to the infirmary to get out if he fight between Victor and the others. He watched as the team of servants circled the man. He looked towards Maggie. "I don't know, Mags but he's someone. Let's see what we can do, okay?" he said walking over to Gunnar. "What, going on, Gun?"

@KimmiNinja
Caspen
Caspen nodded at her, fists clenched and teeth gritted. Emily was everything to him and Italy brought terrible memories. He very well knew that. He needed to blow of steam and Gunnar or his father would be happy about it after. "Let's go, Alice."

Gunnar

The general scratches his beard. "Hmm... A hundred years ago... No... The last battle we had in these lands was a minor scuffle where some raiders attacked back when Liz was little... That was over 200 years ago... Damn..." He looks up when he sees Nik. "Found a traveler... He's been asleep for a very long time... Good thing though, as the practices I- *he coughs* humans developed have come a long way."

Magnus

Magnus looks at the shield. "Uh...I need to re do the leather straps... Pound out the chew marks..." He notices he's still holding Quin's hand and blushes harder, hand locking in fear of crushing the small delicate bones. He slowly lets go, trying to clear his mind of the sudden thought of holding Quin.

Was planning on it after all this craziness.

Elizabeth 'Liz'

Soon enough Liz' two older siblings entered the infirmary. Liz looked up briefly to give them a smile and a quick wave with her free hand before returning her attention back to her 'patient'. Liz planned on stepping into the human world and working as a nurse one day but, truth is, at Liz's age time was only just becoming trivial and the study to do such work was only just seeming to not take that long.

Elizabeth removed her hand from the man as his strength grew. Liz pursed her lips as the rest discussed. The last battle. She barely remembered it. She was young even by human standards then. 9? 10? Something alone those lines. "About 215 years," she chimes in. She turns to the traveller, "What year is it?" she asks, "As far as you're concerned at least. Also, what's your name?"

Victor
@KimmiNinja
Someone would be paying for Victor’s stabbing words against both Alice and Caspen. Probably a human. Dad would have his work cut out for him too, probably. Considering how savage especially Caspen could be. Alice was cruel, but it was Caspen who was vicious. However, it wasn’t Caspen’s indirect retaliation that bothered Victor right now. It was Alice’s cold sneers. Not at him, obviously. But at Sarah. Victor admitted to himself that he got a bit carried away. Even the mere sight of that woman masquerading as a descendant of the Krishkov family made his blood boil. Though, that was just his hatred masquerading itself. He hated Alice not for being family, he hated her for what she did to him. He hated her for the hell she dragged him through in those first 15 years. The stress, the nightly emergencies. The constant fear that someday she may not wake up. Victor loved his sister like he loved all his siblings. But she just wouldn’t die and kept death’s hand over all of them. “Why couldn’t you just die…” he silently muttered to himself.

There had always been two versions of Victor. One alone and one among people. The demeanor when among people he showed the most. The strong, unmovable piece of granite that would split a river if it had to. That version of him constantly radiated an aura of strength, wealth, and skill. But when alone, deeper thoughts often bubbled up. Thoughts of his family, most of all. As he wandered through the hallways, those thoughts now appeared once more. Ghosts of half-forgotten memories. A shade moving through the night. Nik telling him there was nothing in the tower. ‘Partying’ with Maggie in 1920 New York. All of his sins surfaced one by one.

Until, of course, he arrived at his destination. Or rather, he almost arrived. Victor reached the corridor of the infirmary where two guards kept the door and Sarah was pacing nervously around. Obviously, his heart skipped. He thought he could have evaded her for a bit longer. Maybe evade her until the ball. Or even beyond. Yet there she stood. Wielding the power to stop him dead in his tracks. A power she only shares with Victor’s father. Luckily she’s pacing, Victor thought. Though right when he did, she seemed to have noticed him and looked straight through him.

His mind unraveled as his sense, for just a split second, took full liberty in observing her. Obviously, his eyes had the first say in this, as he looked at her long, beautiful hair, her piercing, deep eyes and soft lips. His heart demanded he’d kiss her. Now, tomorrow, next week, constantly! Then her smell hit him. It was neither dominating nor minor. It filled the corridor with a subtle yet impossible sweet smell. Shocked by the beautiful combination his senses experienced, Victor couldn’t help but just stand there with his mouth slightly ajar.

Of course, sanity swiftly shook him awake. Sarah was, above all else, Alice’s servant. Should his little sister ever know the truth of Victor’s feelings, he feared what she would do. Of course, she’d keep it over him day and night. But for Sarah, he’d bear that torture with a smile. No, he feared what Alice would do to Sarah, in retaliation for what Victor had done to her. A thought crept into his mind, a simple idea: unshackle Sarah. Free her from Alice. But no, the only person who could ever do that was their father. And sadly, his father knew Alice had to be cared for. The weakness hadn’t just held Victor’s heart in an iron grip of fear for nearly two decades. It chained the woman he’d confessed to himself he loved to the most icy, cruel entity on the earth. The very thought made him clench his teeth.

But again, his was pulled out of his own thoughts to confront the now looking Sarah. “Sarah.” He said, trying not to sound too surprised to find her here. One side of his mind begged him to get near her. The other ordered to starkly ignore her and march passed her. Neither prevailed. “I didn’t expect you here.” He had to bring up a conversation topic and fast. “So… how’s our guest?”

"I wouldn't call it much of a battle. More like an assassination attempt, nothing that would have been noticed far and wide." he thought hard about the girl's question. Towards the end of their journey, Carsonomel and his Teacher had stopped paying attention to things like the date and time. They only traveled, studying the cultures and people of the world. "To be completely honest, I'm not sure what year it is. I never really paid attention. I know I was asleep for around 100 years, and that I am around 500 years old, but when you're immortal, time is quite trivial, isn't it? As for my name, I am Carsonomel." He bowed low.

Alice

Alice simply nodded her head. Since everyone was distracted in the infirmary it'll be easy doing anything that would usually get them scolded right away. She didn't care what Sarah was up to at the moment, it was best for her not to call on her servant in the current distraught state that she was in.
"Lead the way Cas."

@Legion02

Sarah
It was always a nice surprise to see Victor back at the castle. There was never an unfriendly moment when Sarah conversed with him. Everyone knew about the tension between him and Alice, though Sarah didn't know the reason behind it. Truthfully, he didn't need a proper reason, anyone that sees Alice in disdain is someone worth admiration. And despite his dignified demeanor, he never once looked down on Sarah despite her being a servant. Needless to say, Victor was one of the few individuals that Sarah was happy to see.
As he approached closer and called her name she stopped pacing, "Victor, welcome back..." She gives him a small curtsy before answering his question about the injured man, "I wish I knew, I'm not allowed in to help apparently. Though I just want to know if he's at least okay." Sarah had a less worrisome voice now, since Victor was here it could help in easing her mind. "What brings you back home?"
