Of course, the transformation project doesn't begin and end with Team Ascension, but has other branches, some rather dubious.

One such group, the now-thwarted Team Zenith, sought to allow people to rise above regular humans and do as they wanted. As far as they were concerned, if humans could overcome their weaknesses by becoming Pokemon, then why should they be bound by regular laws? Shouldn't they maximise their potential? Members of this team would use their altered forms for criminal purposes, funding ways to cast off their limitations more thoroughly and efficiently.

Yet their plans were short-lived. An experimentation project to further enhance the abilities of Pokemon forms came to its end when an admin betrayed the team, allowing a captive would-be test subject to escape and reveal the truth. Brought into the open, Team Zenith's goals were foiled by the authorities.

Since then, suspicion towards other transformation projects has grown. Team Ascension may be a different branch, but is still viewed in a negative light by some. Especially as one member is rumoured to be connected to Team Zenith...
