Anya Nyx:
Sweet natured, even if she doesn't always want to show it. Youthful inexperience, but exceedingly compotent and more than capable. Shows initative that others don't, and that's one of the main reasons she's Black Squad's First Mate. Lor finds Anya pleasant to be around, and has offered on more than one occassion to be a sounding board should Anya need someone to vent to. More than anything, it's good to have another veteran of the Rigellian Incident around. If for no other reason than so Lor gets reminded that despite all the new, this is still the Jolly-Motherfuckin'-Rogers.
Slazkith:
As alien as alien gets to a Ba'ku--AND IT'S EFFIN' AWESOME! For the infinitely curious type like Lor, there's few things cooler than someone with such a radically different biology and background to herself. After living for a few centuries, it's hopefully understandable when new stuff gets you so excited. As such, Lor's gone out of her way to make the Gorn feel part of the Squad. She's made him lead formation runs, she's always said hi to him, and she's even had to make him "hold up the walls" when he starts to drift off during classroom time. But, hey, it's all affection.
T'eklil Rarr:
Speaking of fascinations. Lor has done incredibly deep dives on Borg technology at the Vulcan Science Academy and Andorian War College, she's even toured the first ever Drone Reinstituion Center to help former drones become reinstituionalized into Federation society, centers that specialize in offering medical, technological, and mental health services during her time in BioTech Sciences at the V.S.A. As such, Lor probably understands what T'eklil has to go through, and what challenges he faces, more than most anyone else in Black Squad--and she can't even imagine everything he has to go through. As the CHENG of the USS Challenger, T'eklil and Lor are often attached at the hip given the refits of the Challenger. Finding them talking about minute engineering details into all hours of the morning, and at every break in training, isn't exactly uncommon. No one knows the the Challenger like Lor does, but T'eklil is a close second.
Reva:
Lor finds universal humor in the fact that a Rigellion joined the Jolly Rogers after the Rigellion Incident. Even if the humor in question is bitterly ironic, at best. Not unlike Lor's time spent with T'eklil, Reva and Lor have spent many an hour going over the CONN systems of the Challenger--to say nothing of tactical manuevers. Lor has a high degree of belief in Reva's ability to fly the "ever lovin' shit" out of the Challenger (as Master Chief likes to put it), and that's good, considering mobility is the Challenger's greatest asset in a fight. Personally, Lor isn't sure just yet what to make of Reva, except it seems pretty clear that the girl had a unique upbringing...not that Lor's one to talk in that area.
Arthur Locklin:
Highly capable, so that's a plus, because Lor has seen Tactical students with far less talent in the area. When he arrived at The Pirate Ship (the natural nickname for ATT Squadron Barracks 369; the Jolly Roger's home barracks), Lor was the first face to greet the new Cadet, and welcome him to the Jolly Rogers. She promised he'd see a difference in training between the Academy and ATT soon enough, and she wasn't lying. It took all of a day for Lor to get Arthur in a holodeck to test him out in the holographic battlefield of space. He was slow, unimaginative, and nearly overloaded the EPS relay system twice during their first simulation. They would spend seven hours in that holodeck the first day, Lor's fanatic drive for perfection in a fight driving her to demand better from Arthur right from the word "Go." By the end of it he was at wit's end, and asking what her problem was. In that moment she unleashed all the fear and pain from the Rigellion Incident on him, trembling as she swore to him she wasn't going to lose another soul in a fight. Not when SHE was in that Command Chair. His response? "Let's go again, then." They've been close ever since. Just how close...there are rumors.
Adam Kerrick:
An Academy friend turned ATT Squadmate. Adam likes to poke at the hard veneer that's come to cover the once goofy, warm, lively Ba'ku. He doesn't understand it; he wasn't there when people were dying and screaming, when the Challenger was dark, smelling of blood and fire. The incident changed her forever, and she understands Adam isn't used to that, or the fanaticism that grew out of that moment into Lor. Suddenly her genius had a focus, every moment in her life before feeling half-wasted when she could've been preparing to save people, to ensure that kind of sloppiness didn't happen again. Still, she'll admit it's good to have Adam around; he's like a reminder of the person she used to be, and Lor would like very much to find some balance to who she was and who she now is. She's trying, and he very much helps that.
