Just wondering, when you say the character can be from any universe, but must be original, you mean that we may create a character who comes from a certain movie/book/game universe, but may not be any of the existing characters from that universe?
Welp here's my character that is based off an older profile from War Of The Multiverse. Totally redid her bio though. Hopefully she's fine and I'll probably pick another character of mine to fight in this RP.Queen GhidorahFrenzied Kaiju Form
Alias:
(キングギドラ Kingu Gidora); "Queen Of Terror"; "Monster Zero"; The Dragon Queen; Etc
Race:
Kaiju Gijinka (Human/Kaiju Hybrid)
Sex:
Female
Class:
All-Round Creature-Morph
Equipment:
Ghidorah doesn't carry much in the form of arsenal, however she does carry a hand-crafted golden katana in the way of weaponry. This is used as an answer to close combat sword-fighting, in which otherwise she uses her magic and strength to keep her opponents at bay.
Abilities:
- Enhanced Strength: Ghidorah has an incredible amount of strength to back her up. One direct-landing punch can send a person flying a few meters and she can carry a normal person by the neck with ease.
- Enhanced Agility: While fast in her own wake, Ghidorah is surprisingly nimble in her human form, being able to dodge many attacks some even being at point-blank range if she is able to detect it fast enough.
- Wings: Ghidorah's wings provide both flight and minor shielding against some lighter-based weaponry, such as bullets and laser fire. However, both physical trauma and subjection to fire can damage them, restricting her movement and defense capabilities.
- Gravity Beams: In her human form, Ghidorah is able to fire bolts of lightning from her fingertips to bombard her opponent with volleys of electricity. They electrocute their opponent upon contact with organic beings and prolonged exposure can cause them to be fried alive or at the very least deformed severely. A stronger variant can be used to cause minor explosions upon contact with anything. In her Frenzied Kaiju form, these bolts come from her three mouthes in a beam and can be injected into the opponent directly if she bites them.
- Energy Shield: In her kaiju form, Ghidorah is able to form a golden round energy shield that deflects energy-based weaponry. She can also release this energy shield and send it colliding with the ground, which will cause a massive explosion. She can use a weaker version in human form, but causes her to use a ton of energy in both instances. Often used as a final attack to finish her opponent off.
- Hurricane Winds: Ghidorah's Wings can also flap fast enough to produce winds that can knock opponents off if they don't have a firm grip on the ground. In rare instances, it's able to slow down physical projectile weaponry, like bullets. It's more effective if Ghidorah is in her kaiju form.
- Constricting Necks/Tail: In her kaiju form, Ghidorah is able use one of her three necks, or two of her tails, to constrict her opponent, restricting their movement and causing them to choke, gasping for air until they suffocate to death.
Fighting Style:
Queen Ghidorah is a smart fighter, in the way that she will first test her opponents ability before going all out. She may even take a few minor blows just to see how strong said character is. She calculates her opponent's patterns and abilities, searching for a weak-spot, and exploiting it by going on a full assault, not letting her opponent get the chance to strike back. She is also infamous for faking her own defeat or demise, appearing to be dead but then waking up and issuing a surprise counter-attack on her opponent. She's not a fair fighter in the slightest.
Personality:
Queen Ghidorah is an arrogant, vile, and power-hungry monster of a creature. Cold and calculative, she is a patient yet deadly fighter, often glorifying herself in one point and then being sly and sneaky in another. She is ultimately unpredictable in her actions and is both cruel merciless in battle, mocking her opponent's skills during combat. Of course, when in her frenzied rage of extreme assault, she can get a bit carried away and careless of her surroundings if too preoccupied, causing her to be narrowly-focused on an objective. This can be a problem if she's fighting multiple opponents. She can sometimes underestimate her opponents and can get punished greatly for being so careless.
Bio:
Queen Ghidorah was born on the remote planet known as Planet X, just 40 light years from Earth. She was born to a royal family, known as the Ghidorians, who had the blood that allows them to transform into a monstrous three-headed dragon. Spoiled as a child, she quickly began to have high ambitions. And those ambitions would be deadly in the long run. She eventually became strong enough to overthrow her royal family, murdering them all in cold-blood, taking the throne all to herself. For almost a hundred years did she rule her planet under a fierce tyrannical fury, only calming down after the old supporters had been whipped clean from the scene. However, she slowly began to age, to the point where she began to grower weaker and more frail with each passing year. This, accompanied by a growing source of paranoia and insanity, caused her to find ways to ultimately find some cure and become immortal.
Her answer in achieving this came from a loyal priestess, who guided her to a sacred underground temple of the royal Ghidorians. There she led her to a pool of golden-liquid, what has been known as "The Golden Nectar". This "Nectar" is a pool of highly intense mana-like energy that came from deep beneath the ground. Every relative of the Royal family had a tiny drop of this nectar inserted to their body as a way to give them good luck and spirits, while also tapping slightly into their gijinka powers. It is sometimes used as a healing pot where it can heal wounds and in some instances return the youth into an elderly Ghidorian, but most importantly it is the literal life blood of the planet itself. While it can do such miraculous effects, being addicted and extremely dependent on it will cause the user to become corrupted and eventually such all of the life out from the planet, causing it to be a barren wasteland. Only in a balanced amount may it both preserve Ghidorah's youth as well as the planet as is.
Yet Queen Ghidorah ignored the warning and eventually sucked the entire planet dry, causing her people to perish as well as every other living organism on the planet. It had become utterly inhabitable literally overnight. While it did preserve her youth, Ghidorah wanted more power and more life-blood. Thus begun her several thousand year reign of terror across the galaxy, destroying planets and stealing their life blood to continue becoming youthful. She was surprised to see tat every planet she came across had this blood in the first place She was dependent solely on it and it alone. Eventually she came to the planet that was Earth, a world she had heard about from various alien textbooks and civilizations. Ghidorah made her way onto the planet's surface, preparing to search the entire planet for its source of life blood. Yet her plan would be foiled by three of the planet's native gijinka. Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan, Earth's mightiest guardians of its age, they began a battle that would almost rip the entire planet apart, yet after a long and grueling fight did they drive the alien out of their homeworld. They almost killed Ghidorah on multiple occasions, but alas she was able to escape before she could meet her maker.
Ghidorah was casted out into space once again, furious at her humiliating defeat at the hand of three minor kaiju gijinka like herself. She vowed vengeance against the planet that defied her, like a spoiled brat, and to rip it apart piece by piece. But she needed help. Eventually, she found a tournament in the farthest regions of space and decided to join, in an attempt to restart her empire from scratch by impressing them. If they can be impressed, they can be controlled...
Wish:
Ghidorah is a vain and powerful gijinka warrior. She's participating to show the multiverse her true potential and power, to put fear into the hearts of all. Perhaps she can gain respect and valuable allies if her power is shown to the masses.
Echo:
Planet X is her home world. Once her place of birth, she quickly drained the world of its life force and turned it into a barren wasteland. While it physically has no meaning for her in terms of resources, she also respects the pass rulers in the Ghidorah heritage, offering a more 'sacred' aspect to it. The rulers were once worshipped in a temple and while still in tact, no one but the gijinka goes in their to gain moral and sometimes physical power from it.
Appearance:
In her human form, Ghidorah stands at a towering 6'5", with a wing span almost doubling her entire body size from the shoulders up (unlike from the waist as shown in the picture). She has pale caucasian skin, with amber eyes, and long spiraling golden hair running down to her upper thigh, with horns sticking from the top of her head. She wears a golden dress, with white long gloves and golden dragon plates, reminding everyone of her dragon transformation. She also wears white knee-high boots with heels, though she is somehow able to act perfectly without tripping over surprisingly.
Frenzy:
Ghidorah's frenzied form is a monstrous, three-headed, golden dragon with a purposeful glimpse and a terrible sound. In her own universe, her height was at a terrifying 150 meters in height and weighed in at 175,000 tons. Now that height has decreased to 25 meters tall, which is still massive, but not beyond-skyscraper heights, and weighs around 20 tons.

Just wondering, when you say the character can be from any universe, but must be original, you mean that we may create a character who comes from a certain movie/book/game universe, but may not be any of the existing characters from that universe?
<Snipped quote by Lmpkio>
There's a problem with the concept that's immediately apparent: Ghidorah is a preexisting character, owned by a company, and if this were a real story this would be grounds for suing on copyright infringement. However...since the crux of the character (the human form and the personality enclosed within) isn't a part of the official character, I might be willing to let this particular instance slide, and warn against similar sheets in the future.
Her powers are too much. Characters can be pretty strong, but yours is over the top. I'm looking for specific downsides and only one or two powers max. Superhuman strength to the degree you described is not a problem, but being able to dodge point-blank attacks is a power in its own right, as is blocking non-physical damage with her wings (though if that's the case it shouldn't block bullets, which are physical). Add to that lightning that can fry someone, explosive lightning, and an explosive energy shield, and it's way, way too strong to start out with. More powers mean each one is weaker. Either eliminate all but two of the powers (except strength), or make each one weak enough so that they're only usable and not overwhelming. For instance, she could shoot individual blasts of lightning with no explosive potential, use her wings as shields in an emergency, and manifest a momentary energy deflector shield that could provide a short-range explosion if struck.
If you drastically weaken her powers, you can keep her Frenzy pretty much the way it is as a sort of payoff if achieved, but given that true Ghidorah would be extremely tough to deal with on a physical level alone, I would recommend weakening it as well.
About the backstory: IC, there is no such thing as the multiverse. There's no awareness of other dimensions existing; its something that's happening solely for the ability for people to pick characters they are really interested in and would have fun playing. Ghidorah couldn't 'find' the tournament of her own volition. Even if she did, the objective of the tournament is the granting of a wish, and Ghidorah's 'wish' to impress people you imply will result from her winning, not as a result of what wish she makes. In essence, that means your character doesn't actually have a wish.
That's precisely correct.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>
Yeesh... yeah I was afraid you might say that. And only one to two powers max (minus strength)? Welp... I guess I'll nerf her accordingly. Again, I'll keep enhanced strength... but I'll get rid of agility, nerf the wings accordingly, have the gravity beams not have explosive capabilities, nerf the gravity shield accordingly, keep the Hurricane Winds (but only for the Kaiju form), and keep the neck movements for the kaiju in place. Only in frenzied mode do they become as is. Does this sound good to you?
Well I'll scrap the multiverse thing out of it then. Wish wise I suppose she becomes immortal.
Does all of this sound good to you?
Edit: I've edited all the stuff in my character's profile. How does it look?
@LugubriousName: "Smiley" or Gurbanox
Alias: Smiley
Race: Lower Demon of Greed
Sex: "male"?
Class: Lower Demon of Greed
Equipment: Gut of Greed(aka: his Stomach): Store any type of item or..creature; in his bottomless pit of a stomach. When in danger he rapidly spits out various saliva drenched objects in his defense.
His stomach currently has in it:
40 different types of weapons. Ranging from swords, bows, hammers, guns ectr.
1000 gold coins.
200 gems, rubies and emeralds.
A few barrels of toxic slime.
5 KG of Uranium.
A single rabbit called Chester(alive) a frantic cat called Gagi (alive) and several humanoids(dead)
Notable Items are:Steel Stride: A magical, 6 inch long blade made of pure, stainless steel with a gold colored hint. When held by someone with arms Steel Stride allows the user to act as if any metallic equipment on them is a part of their body. Turning plate wearing knights into living golems. This world assuredly make Smiley a dreadful enemy if he wasn't constantly naked and had arms.
Fiery Star: A morning star made out of a black, unknown metal that constantly smells of sulfur. When it circles it starts to rain ash on the surrounding area before bursting into flames, acting like a comet by striking its target with blistering heart and incredible force.
Abilities:
Unearthly: Is not subject to the dangers of poison, infections, diseases, bleeding or the loss of internal organs. Unlike a normal human whom may have things that actually need to be preserved, Smiley whole body is a work of effort and needs to maintained by continuous will . His body is what it appears to be. It has no inner functions. Not even a brain. Damage is a matter of stamina and will. Constant damage will de- materialize it.
Unending: When his form is severed, crushed or pulled apart Smiley may reform himself or grow new body parts on the fly within seconds. In many cases he even willingly gives up body parts in order to function in different ways. He, however. May not expand beyond what he is without naturally growing in his default power. He can't grow arms he dosen't have, although he may "drop" arms to fit through a door if he had them. Then grow them back.
MAW: Smiley's nature allows him to extend his hunger beyond what should be physically possible, his mouth is his only true weapon as his body is squishy. Acting more as a orchestrated jelly fish than flesh, allowing to be easily shattered. His maw however is made up of large, imposing teeth drawn like cubic pillars. They are capable of mauling flesh, gripping harshly and denting armor. He only has maulers however. So no piercing or ripping, just chewing.
HUNGER: As a manifestation of greed he is capable of swallowing up anything of any kind of worth. Both fiscally and emotionally. Leading him to eat objects, elements, chemicals and people alike. The more he consumes of value the more stronger he grows, gaining new limbs. Treasure is much slower to this effect than other living things, especially powerful ones. When he has consumed a person he gain one aspect of theirs such as arm(may not have more than 2), horns, eyes or tattoos along with a increase in size.
He gains 1 lower ability of his consumed. Eaten allies come back none the less, although they will miss their taken ability. If he eats a person with equipment, they may find parts of it-or all of it. Gone. Now stored in his gut.
He can lose power be spewing up his treasures too much. Should he somehow exhaust himself of almost all of his goods. He will lose he legs and become a cat-sized worm. Severely weakened.
Elastic: Smiley can stretch out or bend his body in obscene shapes. Although he may not grow mass he may shift it to other body parts. His only part that doesn't act like this is his maw which can open to 10 times his own size, allowing him to eat even massive creatures and dragons like a snake. Assuming they don't fight back.
Binding Contract: Like most demons Smiley can make deals in exchange for things. His deals are binding, failing to meet them allows him to take something he wants from the user while they will be unable to move or act. Should he fail to provide his end of the contract then Smiley must forfeit any gain he may get from the deal.Fighting Style:
A mixture of using his weight, strange body movements to get around and slam into things. Eating and throwing things, consuming things mid battle in order to vomit, mix, spit, burp or lure. Primarily, however. It's all in the teeth. Everything he does will be him trying to get that deadly chomp in.Grinning. What is it for?
It follows him everywhere. No demon that doesn't hold the same avarice can decode it, no spirit can empathize with it. As he wanders into form no living can shake off the perversion of a smile into a mimicking hungry reveal of denchers. Smiley grins no matter his position, snickering as the blows carry on. Even as he cries out for help in his weakest moment his cheek perk up into a wicked grin at his attacker. His teeth always in view as if it were his eyes, drifting to anyone or anything that grab his attention.
Gurbanox rarely shows his emotions. He never wear something on his sleeve when it comes to himself. He is no liar but trust comes hard. Even towards himself. He cowers from responsibility when possible, only acting when find something valuable to over power his cautious nature. He is quick to compliment, eager to inspect. A curious creature that will indulge himself quickly, making him sometimes irritant or charming. He is not naturally giving of thought but can be nudged into it. He hates introspection or deep thoughts of his own character and will dismiss any topic of himself when he can.
Using egotism, wit, riddles, games and even gossip to try and pry question of him away.
His grin. What is it for?A lower demon of his realm, Gurbanox was powerful enough to earn himself to be summoned but weak enough to scurry through the cracks of dimensions in order to take trips. He has appeared in many folk tales and stories as one of the many beings that sometimes helps the horror, or entraps them. Becoming well known for giving out magic items or aiding the destruction of other demons and villains alike. He has gained his own little pocket of power, but it is nothing but a hole to hide in. Many other demons of the lower order seek his blood. Torturing him when they can.
The higher greed demons normally eat the lower ones. He ventures to the Earth realm, in many cases being summoned to escape all of that. What history Smiley may of had or not had is lost in the many millennia that he spent in his new life as a bargainer of the demonic and mortal realm. His story is vast but not inherently connected, there is not much to his actions most of the time besides greed and survival. Both of which are his main drives. Like many things in his life, he bought into the Crucible at the behest of a summoner whom demanded he win him the tournament and grant him a wish.
If Smiley will do that or even can do it, is yet to be seen.
Wish: EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT. EAT THE MACHINE!
Echo: A large castle in the distance slumbers. It's windows are endowed with many shutters and the silence from it seems unnatural considering its sizes. A dress of flowers spirals up and down its walls into a vast field of trees, littered with a garden of eden like potential. In the field sits a single small pool with a single stature of a dog looking upwards at an missing person. It's eyes smiling.Appearance:
Height: 5.5
Weight: 60 KG.
Grows by another 2 feet each consumption.
Gurbanox body is oil in its texture, shivering in a mild polish of purple when the light hits him in the right way. He seems almost resistance to lamps and lights, the glow that covers him being snuffed from roaring reds to humming burgundy and blazing oranges to timid browns. His head is almost giant compared to the rest of his timid body that tip toes and slinks about in the same manner as a worm that had just acquired legs. It's hard to tell where his supposed throat and stomach starts and his torso begins, his voice rumbles his own knees.
Hacking coughs spasm his whole frame, wobbling his large frame while even the small chuckles and under the breath giggles can force ballooning ribbit like pops from his his sides.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frenzy: He briefly turns into a demon of rage and blood. His body is malformed from its original purpose into a 10 foot tall being that has various tentacles scurrying about its frame. In these tentacles every type of weapon he has will be wielded although only in a blind fury. He lumbers about on a set of stubby legs, in this case he will pick up anything in front of him and attempt to throw it into a gigantic mouth. However, it filled with endless teeth, including canines. Anything eaten in this state will not go into his stomach. Simply being reduced into bloody red paste.

Yeah, no offense to Lugubrious but I'm gonna drop out. Can't think of anyone to app as, and all the original characters I do have who might be competitive have no reason to compete. Sorry.
<Snipped quote by Flamelord>
I'm sorry to hear that, though unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying by 'can't think of anyone to app as', you could always create a new character just for this RP. That's what I'm doing.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>
Well I meant both using old original characters as well as creating one specifically for this. I'm just not that creative when it comes to competitive RPs, especially when I look at all the characters that have been submitted by other people.
Name: Lucian Dante
Alias: The Angel
Race: Vampire
Sex: Male
Class: Paladin
Equipment: Frater Sanguine: Dante's personal suit of armor, forged of the same steel that defends the Empire, inlaid with the gold of Dante's past glories, and stained red with the blood of his foes. The armor is incredibly dense and offers tremendous protection, but is far heavier than is practical for a normal man. Luckily, Dante is far from a normal man, and when wearing this reignment, he becomes an unstoppable juggernaut on the battlefield.
Testarossa: Dante's primary armament, a spear of appropriate length and weight to suit Dante's size and power. It features heraldry of Dante's native Aquilonia, and the carvings down its length regale the province's rich history and many victories. Like the rest of his equipment, it is a masterwork of artifice, and is as much a work of art as it is a deadly weapon.
Glaive Encarmine: Dante's sidearm, a heavy sword that a normal man would need two hands to even pick up. It is inscribed with Dante's personal heraldry, and is constructed specially to withstand Dante's strength. Its crimson blade is of special construction, and cuts through steel as easily as flesh.
Abilities: Ancient even among vampires, Dante has centuries of experience in battle. As such, he is a warrior that can be matched by only a rare few, and true to his fame, he has never been defeated in personal combat.
Given that he is an immortal vampire, he is imbued with superhuman strength, and vitality, and his life cannot be claimed by age or disease.
As a veteran of hundreds of military campaigns, Dante is a master strategist. Frequently given command of the Empire's entire military forces, he is as adept in planning warfare as he is in personally fighting in it.
Lastly, Dante is a renowned practitioner of holy magic, considered a master of the school by many. He combines the standard practices of divine magic with the inborn power of his vampiric blood to create an entirely unique magical style. This fusion of light and darkness gives him the strength he needs to smite his foes, as well as support his allies. His magic can be used to give himself arcane wings upon which he may take flight, shields to protect himself or his allies, or tear apart his enemies with holy light.
Fighting Style: Dante is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. His great size and vampiric strength are both used to his advantage, giving him the momentum of a locomotive as he charges his foes. Though his power is tremendous, he is far from unskilled, and can expertly strike the weak points of his foes with overwhelming force. To give himself the edge over a physically stronger or more numerous enemy, he wields divine magic to imbue himself with flight, protect himself, empower his comrades, or attack his foes at a range.
Personality: By most standards, Dante is a reserved and withdrawn fellow. He speaks little, though when he does so, his words are utterly profound. Personal glory matters little to the Angel, as he has been honored enough for several lifetimes over his many years. Quiet professionalism and dignity surround him, but he is not standoffish. Though to many he is a legendary and unapproachable figure, he cares strongly for those under his command, and is a calm and patient listener. Humility and composure are his hallmark traits, as his many years have brought him great wisdom and inner strength.
However, one should not mistake his reserved nature for submissiveness. Dante holds his honor and his values strongly and uncompromisingly, and woe befall those who threaten his faith, his king, or his country. He is not afraid to speak out against convention or authority when he knows he must. Though his vampiric nature is vicious and bestial, Dante keeps his darkest urges well-contained. Even in the heat of battle, Dante's fury is cold and tranquil; viciously rending his foes without undue malice or enjoyment. That is not to say that his inhuman instincts are easily ignored, as they press against his mind at all hours, and it is his supreme willpower that allows him to retain control.
Bio: Born a vampire, an unnatural and unholy creature that must feed on the lifeblood of the living to survive, Dante has been tormented since birth by his violent, bestial instincts. In his youth, he looked up to such heroic figures as the mighty soldiers of Aquilonia, his native province of the Eternal Empire. Disguising his true nature, he joined the Legion, hoping that its discipline would help him control his baser urges. This worked to a point, until a fateful battle against a demonic horde that nearly wiped out his entire regiment, leaving him the sole survivor. So embittered and enraged, he lost control to his blood-rage, and slaughtered what remained of the enemy host single-handedly. Though this feat promoted him to Commander in the Legion, he saw that he needed a better solution to keeping his darker nature under control.
He turned to faith, taking up the vows of the paladin and training in holy magic. Though his nature as an inherently evil creature corrupted his magic at first, he learned to adapt his divine magic to better accommodate his inhuman blood, and thus came away from it with a unique and powerful style. For hundreds of years Dante fought for the Empire, studying and training under many heroes and scholars, and earning countless honors and accolades. The Empire eventually learned of his vampirism, but so great was his service that he was awarded status as an honorary human. So grateful was he to the Empire for essentially granting him status equal to normal men, that he dedicated the rest of his life to them as a Lord-Commander, the highest rank attainable in the Empire's military.
Wish: Dante wishes to rid himself of his vampiric urges once and for all. Though over the centuries he has sustained himself by feeding on those condemned to death by the Empire's courts, the Beast of his immoral hunger presses at his mind constantly. So that he may become a perfect paragon of service to the Empire and to the Gods, he seeks after the same cure that had only been found by one vampire in history: the legendary Blood Dragon of eons past.
Echo: The Basilica of Martyrs, where Dante undertook his vows as a paladin, and spent long hours training in magic, learning the holy scriptures, meditating on the divine, and praying to the Gods. A tremendous and ornate church, the most famous aspect of the Basilica are the waterways that run through it like small streams; the iron in the building's structure colors the water blood red, which has given rise to the legend that every drop of blood shed for the Empire runs through the church.
Appearance: Dante is an implacable and awe-inspiring figure. A tremendous man that stands nearly seven feet high, he is never seen in public unless clad in ornate regalia. Such is the might of Dante's magic that he seems eternally cloaked in the light of his Iron Halo, and he is known to soar on angelic, ivory wings that ceaselessly bleed through their feathers. In private company, Dante wears simple robes of red and white, and keeps his face uncovered. His many years are clear in his features, as his long, fine hair has turned completely white, and the lines of centuries of warfare are etched into his face. Even so, he has an ethereal, otherworldly beauty with chiseled features, ivory skin, eyes like rubies and long, white fangs. Dante often adorns himself with writings of scripture, golden medallions, mementos of his fallen comrades, and other such trinkets, and displays his personal heraldry (a drop of blood framed by alabaster wings) on many of his belongings.
Frenzy: Dante becomes one with the Beast within him, and descends into a pitch-black inhuman rage. He flings his helmet, off, exposing his fangs as he seeks to drink the blood of his enemies. His vampiric nature comes to the fore of his magics, as holy light fails him and he uses both his own blood and the blood of his enemies to fuel his monstrous rampage; either imbuing himself with even further inhuman power, or viciously tearing his foes apart.
Inventory: Phylactery.
Here's my shot. He may be too powerful, but god I love this character and really want to use him again.
<Snipped quote by Flamelord>
Darn. Well, if you insist, better luck elsewhere. As Green said, it's not all about winning, even if competition is a primary element, but I can totally get being turned off by the premise.
Your estimation was correct. In his current state, he would be impossibly overpowered for the sake of the RP. Unbreakable defense, insurmountable strength and skill, incredible magic, not to mention brains and looks...forgive me, but he almost seems Gary Stu-ish. The best way to start reining him in, I think, would be to take two aspects of his combat ability and completely excise it. The four main departments -defense, strength, skill, and magic- could be cut in half. He could forego his armor and magic to arrive at a very strong glass cannon with pronounced drawbacks, or sacrifice all melee prowess in order to become a magic-raining bastion. Of course, even the remaining aspects would need to be toned down somewhat. The alternative, of course, would be to nerf all four aspects down to a reasonable level. I hope that even after these necessary nerfs, he will still be a character you'll love to use again.
I'd recommend taking a look at the characters that have been accepted so far to get an idea of the general power level. I'm looking for either a couple high points, or a lot of medium points in terms of power. The stronger a character is in a particular area, the greater the drawback I'm looking for in an oher--balance is the key.
<Snipped quote by Lugubrious>
There's not really a section for weaknesses per say, but were there, I would discuss how contact with sunlight burns his flesh and saps his strength. How silver and living wood cause festering wounds, and that he goes blind from looking at moonlight reflected in silver or in water. How he must feed on the blood of the living to survive, and every passing day that he abstains drives him closer to the precipice of madness, like a rabid dog straining against its ever-weakening leash.
I present these vampiric weaknesses because altering how he is now kind of disassembles his entire character. He's an ancient legendary hero... who's a complete dumbass. He's a heroic paladin... who can't use magic for shit. A juggernaut of steel... but a stiff wind blows him over. He's been fighting for centuries... but he's as good as some guy that's been doing it for less than a decade. See what I'm getting at?
I hope this is still open for applications, I'm currently filling out a sheet :)
