That means I either fell out of the ship, or into some room/space a floor lower. If Joseph fell a floor lower, there should be some way to run. If he fell out of the ship, I think you would have written so. As for the ring, editing.

The reason I ask is that in ASG you can dodge the bullets fairly well with a bit of timing, while in reality...you a dead mofo.

We'll say Gunvolt has the ability to move and react really fast, or that Copen's gun isn't firing with actual ballistic bullets, and everything else is mostly plasmoid shots.

On another note, @tobiax, I have a small complaint, namely that quite a few times players' actions were either ignored or misperformed, as far as I can tell by reading the posts. And by misperforming I am not referring to the action failing, but a different yet similar action being performed instead.

I suspect 3 causes for such events:
  • Misunderstanding: The course of action described in the player's post was not understood as intended by the player. (solution would be to make courses of actions clearer, sacrificing fluff in the process)
  • Invalid course of action: The described course of action is impossible(e.g. because an NPC behaves in a way that the player did not define a course of action for, or the player is waiting for an event that does not occur[see example]) (solution would be to cut the course of actions of involved NPCs short once the player's character would notice the behaviour that invalidates the player's described course of action, and inform the player in question of that occurrence OOC)
  • The course of action the player described is valid and possible as is, yet would end up breaking part of the plot. (solution: none/inform player in question OOC/acquire backup plot devices)

For nearly all of these occurrences, too much time has passed to do anything about them, so I just want to reduce the frequency of such events in the future. As such, I would like to inquire what the primary cause of those events it, as I am sure nobody enjoys their PC performing a course of action they did not set, if they set a course of action.

Edit: For clarification, I am not talking about instances where the time passing during a post is not enough to perform a player's course of action, resulting in later actions being cut off. Those are perfectly fine.

For that particular instance, your conditional sequencing was unclear, and the intent to enter was not made by the divers. I just didn't want to void your action, as I felt that would be unfair.
