Liam Matthews

Location: Coventry Horrors, Room 113
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora, @Morose Seraphina Adams, Emmie Adams @Nallore

At the very least, Liam had managed to work his way into the majority of his suit by the time that Aloise actually opened up the door, buttoning up his shirt as he caught sight of Sera on the other side. He flashed her a smile as he reached for a tie, holding similar thoughts to Aloise, aside from his best friend, he'd more or less hoped to avoid anyone or anything related to the Altsoba massacre as possible, he couldn't help but feel a sinking feeling at the fact she was in the same place they were. "Doing just fine, Sera, good to see you." He said politely when she asked how he was, taking a few moments to do up his tie.

This was just about the only skill he still used from his old work. His life as a journalist had been fairly dull, at least, dull in comparison to the kind of life he lived now. Travelling around, snatching up supernatural objects of worth to peddle off, and occasionally helping Aloise hunt down some creature which was around, it wasn't exactly a step up, but it was certainly something that meant editing a press release or conducting interviews was fairly unecessary. Moving over toward the door once his tie was done up, Liam raised an eyebrow as the younger woman ran up to hug Sera, only to explain that someone on one of the other floors had dropped dead. "Oh good, why does this happen all the time when we go somewhere?" He asked Aloise in a manner of casual exasperation.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Lobby→ Apartment
Interacting With: O.M.E.N. Agent (@Morose)

Eudora cast her gaze down for a moment, muttering quietly to herself, "Tracking spell, tracking spell. Ahah!" Her eyes lit up as she continued, "I have just the thing! Don't worry," she turned to leave but stopped dead in her tracks. "Ah but first," she fished into her pockets and drew out a crumpled piece of paper, on it were poorly scrawled figures on it. It was her number. "My name is Eudora by the way," she smiled at the man and then walked away at a brisk pace, a bounce in her step as she was now invigorated with a new kind of zeal.

Eudora now stood above the grand desk that was stuck to the farthest wall in her apartment. On it was a map of the surrounding area, a scrying bowl, candles, a picture of the girl she cut out from a discarded newspaper she found, and her old dusty flip phone that seemed to creek even if you just looked at it. She stared for a few moments at the phone, expecting a call but once none returned, she turned back to her little altar and rubbed her hands together, muttering words of encouragement to herself.

She took the photo of the girl, wrapping it with the map and setting it alight with a candle. "I invoke thee, elements of air and earth, find whom I seek," she closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, dropping the flaming map and picture into the blow just before the flames could lick at her fingers. "Ostende illum mihi quem quaero," she muttered, feeling the energy of the spell rushing through her and into the bowl. She watched with glee as the soot mixed in and turned the water black, soon the pieces of paper sank below the inky surface. The excitement that filled her after every spell made her feel as if she was casting for the same time again.

Eudora leant up and peered into the black water, she saw a wrinkled face staring back at her. A face with locks of storm grey hair, a tired face, but a fire that shone behind her eyes, and she saw the smoke from the flame rising and mingling in front of the face, giving it an otherworldly look. She coughed and looked closer into the bowl, expecting a change, a clue, a piece of the map to float up and show her location.

And then...

A.N.: (Hope you don't mind me combining some of the spell variants together for dramatic effect. Eudora's tracking spell still functions the same as all the others, so need to worry there.)

Aloise returned the hug briefly, stepping back and letting Sera enter the room. She couldn't help but roll her eyes at Liam's complaint. She was a hunter--it was part of the job description, showing up where murders occurred. But at the same time, Sera's presence only complicated the situation. There were some perilous omens at work--she simply couldn't understand them yet. Holding the photograph, Aloise frowned ever so slightly. "Folly Valeska..." she murmured.

Stepping over to her supplies, she pulled out her lore journal and began flipping through the pages. She had a vague filing system, with small pink sticky notes indicating immortal species. "There are several classes of immortal beings. On the highest order, you have Death. Some hunters place God there as well. Depends on the person. After the absolute immortals, you have advanced immortals--archangels, like Sariel. There's Eve, the mother of all monsters, and the Leviathan. All monstrous and deadly."

She paused for a moment, letting this information sink in before she continued, flipping through the pages of the journal. "You then have highest immortals--regular angels and demons. After that, there's an assortment of sorts. If Valeska is immortal, she's probably one of these...There are alphas--each the first of their species. Crocottas as well, creatures that can copy voices, and feed on flesh. Then there are djin--genies, essentially. And there are Golem, creatures made of clay. Horsemen are possible as well, but I doubt it...Nachzehrers too, odd hybrids of vampires and ghouls. Then you've got your random deities--Pagan ones, most of them. Or perhaps a phoenix or a shtriga."

Aloise smiled awkwardly at Seraphina. "Then there are vampires, wendigos, witches...Cursed individuals, like Javier Crypt." She shut the lore book and set it down on the desk. "I'm not sure how much help that is--unless you know more about the girl, there's too many possibilities to investigate."

As Emmie came inside, Aloise didn't wait too long after the girl finished speaking. "Liam or Sera, one of you come with me," Aloise requested, as she grabbed her pistols, dagger, and flasks. Without waiting more than a minute, Aloise took off down the hall, before running up the stairs to the seventh floor.

Meanwhile, the O.M.E.N. agent and Eudora looked on as the tracking spell was cast. Slowly, like a leaf licked up by the wind, a few pieces of the map came into Eudora's sight. An A, two T's, an I, and a C glided up towards her, before falling back to the ground in a plain and simple arrangement. The tracking spell was giving a clear indication--Folly Valeska was in the hotel, hidden away in the attic. "You packin' any heat?" the O.M.E.N. agent asked, nodding his head towards the staircase. "Time we paid Valeska a visit, huh?"

Watching as Aloise moved to retrieve her lore journal, Liam sighed as he leaned back against the wall, listening to her go through it with Sera. He'd heard all of it before, he'd gone through most of the journal himself, and the two of them had needed to deal with plenty of the monsters and creatures detailed in the book before. It had become so very commonplace for the two of them, that Liam often actually forgot how limited the average person's knowledge on the supernatural was, in many cases you still had to make quite the effort to learn about the supernatural, or work for O.M.E.N. - not that such a job ever appealed to him, certainly.

Unfortunately, as Aloise made clear enough to Sera, supernatural beings weren't exactly easy to track down or work out, often they were similar in a number of different ways, and it made actually tracking them down and knowing what weaknesses to exploit could often be a pain. With different kinds of ghosts, plenty of different flesh-eaters, and as she'd said, many, many types of immortal beings, being a hunter wasn't exactly the easiest job in the world, as he'd learned pretty easily from his time with Aloise. He generally expected there to be a reasonable amount of time learning about a creature before they took off after it, although, it seemed that very much was not going to be the case this time as he saw Emmie speak up and Aloise moved to grab her stuff.

Letting out a slight sigh of frustration, Liam, out of instinct really, moved to grab his own gun. "Wait up a second!" He called, but Aloise had already gone off out of the room, Liam swearing under his breath as he loaded his pistol and grabbed a few spare mags to tuck into his belt holster, slipping past Emmie and Sera after his friend. Aloise had protected him during the Altsoba massacre, and although he'd never really made the promise out loud, Liam had somewhat taken it upon himself to ensure she too remained safe in their time together, it was one of the reasons it was almost impossible to separate the two, regardless of differences, and it was the main reason he still stuck around when the two of them were usually running into such danger.

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors.
Interacting With: @MoroseAloise Zamora & Andromeda Aldrich & @Pundii Liam Mathews

Seraphina watched as Aloise took out her lore journal and took a step closer to look at it and listened very closely. Seraphina didn't have as much information like Aloise or Liam had, she was still fairly new to things that came to the supernatural, she herself was one for the most part as far as she knew.

This was a lot of supernaturals that were immortal. But it did help a little bit, to her conclusion a little bit Folly would have bene almost one hundred years old by now since that photo was taken. As Emmie came in and explained what had just happened to her Sera pulled Emmie into a loving hug and looked down at her, gently resting a hand on her shoulder. "I'm glad you are safe." Sera said when Aloise asked either herself or Liam to come with her, she took out her 1911. But Liam had beat her to it and followed behind Aloise, Sera turned to look at Emmie once more. "Stay safe okay?" Seraphina called out to both Liam and Aloise.

"We should head downstairs." Sera said as she started to head out of Aloise and Liam's room, she headed back towards the first floor Andromeda needed to know what had just happened. She made her way to the front desk looking over at her taking a deep breath as she looked at her. "You need to call the police, someone has been murdered upstairs." Seraphina said towards her.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Bottom of Stairwell
Interacting With: O.M.E.N. Agent (@Morose)

"A," Eudora muttered under her breath, excitement swelling in her. "T," sweat was beading on her forehead, now she was a true spy. A few more letters floated up, like leaves in the wind neatly arranging themselves into- "Attic!" she exclaimed, almost knocking over the scrying bowl in the process. She cleaned up the table in a hurry, hair bouncing frantically as she hopped from one place to another gathering items and her wits. She slipped her athame into her pocket, just as a precaution, along with wrapping her shawl around her despite the warmth. It wasn't for her, but rather for the girl. If they were going to find a scared girl who didn't know what's going on, something warm to wrap around oneself can go a long way. Eudora walked to the door and looked back into her room. Already she could imagine the newspapers hanging on the walls with lines connecting them and remnants of tracking spells. Inspector Erebus had a nice ring to it. She left her future plans at her apartment and bounded down towards the lobby. Time for some sleuthing.

Back down at the stairwell, Eudora seemed fidgety as ever. Her fingers toyed restlessly with the blade in her sleeve as she looked up the steps. Who knew a few flights of elevated wood could be so intimidating? Just the idea that they were gonna go some place restricted, something seemed so awe-inspiring about it. Eudora shook that thought out of her head, she was a witch, doing the forbidden was her job. Walking up the stairs to meet some scared girl was nothing compared to what she went through. She flicked her gaze the agent and chuckled, "Deary, I am the heat," looking mighty proud of her joke, Eudora straightened her back, ready for action, "Now let's go find this girl,

She began to climb up the stairs, one foot after the other. Each foot sealing her fate further. Too late to turn back now.

Ah, my children, is it time for another hint? Very well. As overused as the phrase is, the truth can be stranger than fiction--or perhaps, it is simply just as strange. There is a secret hidden in that attic, closeted away, so to speak. Perhaps a bit of history about the hotel could serve you well. There is a reason that the sixth and seventh floors are not used, a reason that Andromeda's family lives on the fifth, and a reason that the attic is boarded up. Of course, can you discover those reasons before the reaper comes for you?

Let's see, shall we?

"What?!" Andromeda whispered, her eyes wide. "Fucking fantastic...A murder in the horror themed hotel." It would drive up business, but Andromeda hated the hospitality industry as a whole. And she could already tell that any investigation would be confusing. But nonetheless, she took out her cell phone and called the murder in, explaining to the dispatcher all she knew--that someone had been murdered in the Coventry Horrors Hotel. "Police are on their way. Did you apprehend the perp?" Andromeda asked. A funny feeling told her that this had to do with her father's death--if only she knew how.

Aloise and Liam arrive at the seventh floor without much issue. "Took you long enough," Aloise commented, her gun with rock-salt rounds at the ready. The marine had already done a brief scan of the area, finding nothing of interest on the floor. However, she had her gun at the ready, just in case anything attacked. "Whatever it is, I think it's probably gone by now," Aloise added. "Could be human...but I doubt it."

The floorboards above Aloise and Liam started to creak, and Aloise glanced up quickly. Little things of dust were coming down from where the attic entrance was boarded up, as if someone was upstairs. Her finger on the trigger, Aloise listened as the sounds stopped. She spun around, seeing as the O.M.E.N. agent and Eudora emerged on the seventh floor. "Who are you two?" she asked calmly.

"Agent Keenan, O.M.E.N.," the agent replied. He recognized hunters when he saw them. "We need you two to step aside. This is an official O.M.E.N. investig--"

But his words were cut off. The ceiling creaked and groaned, and a moment later, it simply wasn't there anymore. Aloise threw herself to the ground, shoving Liam out of the way as a wardrobe fell through the ceiling, landing where they had been standing a moment before. Eudora was completely unscathed, but the wardrobe had a glass pane on the outer door, and it smashed, sending shards into the leg of the O.M.E.N. agent.

"Valeska's up there," Agent Keenan groaned, forcing himself to his feet.

"The girl they like for the murders?" Aloise asked, raising an eyebrow. It seemed Coventry wouldn't be a quiet job for Liam and her after all.

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, First Floor -> Seventh Floor
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora & Andromeda Aldrich, @Pundii Liam Mathews & @Witch Cat Eudora Erebus

Seraphina looked over at Emmie looking at the girl she looked like that she was trembling, she gently patted her on the head as Sera turned her attention towards Andromeda. "I'm not sure, Emmie witnessed it and came down to get me." Sera answered as Andromeda called the police. "I'm going to look around, watch over her for me." Seraphina said, she hated having to leave Emmie and having Andromeda do a little bit of babysitting for her. Sera needed to make sure that the others were safe, she turned around and started to make her way back up the stairs.

Seraphina started up the stairs heading up to the seventh, she saw Alexander's body on the floor seeing the blood was staining the carpet. Seraphina looked at the dumbwaiter for a moment and went over to check it out, she tried to lower it down but saw that it didn't go any further that could be an easy escape route. She couldn't contaminate the murder scene as she quickly started making her way up to the seventh floor going up several more, that's when Seraphina heard a loud crash as Sera came to the seventh drawing out her handgun. Seraphina eyed everyone in the room, Liam, Aloise, Eudora and some other guy that she didn't know.

Sera heard the O.M.E.N agent mentioning Valeska's name, she was tempted to take the picture out to show him but she did not trust the guy at all. Sera slowly started to approach the entrance to where the attic was she looked up and noticed that it was boarded up, she quickly turned her attention to Eudora and the injured agent. "The police are on their way here as we speak. I saw that there was a dumbwaiter, that's an only escape route. If Valeska is up there she will try and use that to try and escape, we go and cut her off on one of the floors. We need to also get him downstairs, he's injured." Seraphina whispered looking over at Aloise for her judgment.

Emmie Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, First Floor
Interacting With: Seraphina Adams, @Morose Andromeda Aldrich

Emmie was still holding onto the hair that she found in the dumbwaiter she looked over to Seraphina as she did her best to try and comfort her. She gave Sera a quick hug, before turning around and made her way to sit down on a nearby chair that was in the foyer of Coventry Horrors. Emmie's hands were still shaking slightly from what she had seen, she hadn't seen a murder right in front of her since she was little.

She of course wasn't accustom to seeing dead bodies, Emmie had seen bodies of the homeless who ended up dying due to the cold in the winter but she didn't want to witness another murder right in front of her again. Emmie turned her head slightly to look over at Andromeda and gave her a sad smile. Emmie tried her best to try and calm herself down she brought up the hair and looked at it once more, she wasn't sure how useful it will be or who it even belonged to either.

Liam Matthews

Location: Coventry Horrors, Seventh Floor
Interacting With: Aloise Zamora, O.M.E.N Agent, @Morose Seraphina Adams, @Nallore Eudora Erebus @Witch Cat

Panting somewhat as he reached the seventh floor and laid eyes on Aloise, he shook his head at her initial comment, a firm grip around his pistol as he took a brief moment to catch his breath after sprinting up the stairs after her. "Shut up, I wasn't planning on chasing after you today." He listened as she made her suggestion. Part of him took it as a given, with the two of them, they were rarely actually dealing with something that was human, to his great displeasure, most of the time. But there was the possibility still there. For now though, Liam was pleased his gun was loaded with rock-salt, though, that normal magazine in his belt would quite possibly not go awry.

As he heard the footsteps approaching, Liam reacted quickly though, bringing his gun up to level it with the O.M.E.N. Agent who came up the stairs with Eudora. The suit, gun and the general pompous look gave Liam enough clues to figure out who he was even before he began to shove himself into the 'investigation', prompting more of an exasperated sigh from Liam than anything as he lowered his gun. He was about to make a wise-ass comment as usual, when the creaking came back, louder that time. He looked up toward it, just seconds before the roof began to cave in, not having the time to react before he felt the weight of Aloise's body against him, throwing him out of the way as she tackled him.

Letting out a groan as he fell back onto his ass, he watched as the wardrobe slammed into the ground, seeing the glass shatter and cut the agent as he looked upward, listening to him speak. "Does she really have to go all 'home alone' for her goddamn defences?" He grumbled, to himself more than anything as he pushed himself to his feet once more, weapon still held firmly in his hand.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Coventry Attic
Interacting With: O.M.E.N. Agent and Sera

Eudora's heart quickened and swelled within her, her breathing became shallow and her mouth dry. The excitement was slowly rotting into a sense of dread as she felt disaster approaching. Worry danced in her mind as they neared the top. Eudora's ears pricked towards the slight shuffling she heard, someone was up there. The blade grew heavy in her hand as they drew closer, the anticipation numbing her senses.

Once they got to the top, Eudora was drenched in a cold sweat and ready to fight. She then turned the corner only to be met with the sight of someone levelling a gun at the agent, her heart skipped a beat as she readied to hurl a blade at the gunner. Her arm stopped mid-way as she realised the other was safe. Relief washed over her and her hands retreated back towards her waist as she stealthily slipped the blade back into hiding. She mentally scolded herself for worrying. Honestly, what was there to fear?

She greeted the other people with a curt nod and a smile, feeling a bit of pride swell in her as she heard the agent say "official business". She was a part of official business, how exciting.

Midway into retreating herself into a pleasant corner of her mind, her eyes widened as that same poisonous dread set back in. Her eyes, like everyone else's, were directed towards the ceiling. The eerie creaks and groans. It was too late when she realised what was happened.

"Look out!" she tried to scream, only for her last syllable to be drowned out with a deafening crash as a cabinet fell through the roof. Eudora almost jumped out of her skin at that impossibly loud and dull thud. After the fall, she checked herself over, thanking the powers that be for protecting her. However, the agent didn't seem to be as favoured by them. Seeing the shards of glass embed themselves into the agent's leg, Eudora almost instantly dropped to her knees to take a look at them. Panic wrecked her mind as she hurriedly pulled out the larger chunks and with shaking hands wrapped her shawl around the leg. Her attention was momentarily divided as someone suddenly called out to her. A fair and beautiful woman with piercing eyes and for a moment Eudora believed that was the angel that was going to whisk the agent away.

"I saw that there was a dumbwaiter on the fourth floor, that's an only escape route. If Valeska is up there she will try and use that to try and escape, we go and cut her off on one of the floors. We need to also get him downstairs, he's injured." the woman said to her, and Eudora, too stunned to reply, nodded stiffly and with intense worry. She looked back down at the agent, placing a finger to his forehead and muttering a blessing. She then got up, skirt dancing at her feet as she hurried towards the dumbwaiter, feet thumping heavily on the floorboards. She didn't have time to be sneaky now.

Gliding across the room, she passed the fallen man, gritting her teeth to try to ignore him for now. Right now, all she had to do was intercept the girl. Flinging the doors open, she stuck her head inside, the smell of rust filling her lungs as she looked up. "Hello?" she called out, her tone even despite the rage of emotions within her, "If you can hear me, please, don't run! We can and want to help you!"

She held her breath and waited, every moment of silence feeling like an eternity of endless anticipation.

Why, no takers yet for the last clue? Or perhaps it was too cryptic for you? I suppose I did tuck it away rather tightly, just out of view, just out of sight. But I suppose, that just makes it all the more challenging, right? Why, when Lucy stumbled upon Narnia, no one helped her! She found it all by her own, and I suppose, I shall have to ask you to do the same. Keep on digging, my dears...The adventure only gets darker from here.

In the lobby of the hotel, the police have yet to arrive. Andromeda sighs, putting her head in her hands for a moment. "Honestly, the incompetence of the police in this town..." she grumbled, before noticing that Emmie was having a slight panic attack. Glancing around, Andromeda saw that hardly anyone was going to help the girl. Typical. Stepping out from behind the desk, Andromeda put a comforting hand on Emmie's shoulder. "It'll be fine. This hotel is old and full of secrets, kid...Want me to tell you an urban legend, about the founding of Coventry?" Maybe a distraction, Andromeda figured, was just what Emmie needed.

Meanwhile, up on the seventh floor, Keenan groaned in pain as Eudora pulled the shards out of his leg. They had been stopping the bleeding, but with them gone, nothing stopped his blood from spilling. Even though Eudora managed to bandage up the wound with her shawl fairly quickly, it was still incredibly painful. At Sera's comment about bringing him downstairs, Keenan shook his head. "Valeska's innocent, I'm sure of it--if I don't get to her before they do, she'll die. And all those othah murdahs'll go unsolved." Pulling himself to his feet, Keenan pulled the wardrobe up, before starting to climb on top of it, as a means of getting into the attic.

"You're investigating the Winchester murders, aren't you?" Aloise asked, steadying the wardrobe, falling back into the marine mentality of helping one another.

"Not murdahs yet--still considahed missing," Keenan retorted, lifting himself up through the hole in the attic, and inside.

"For how long?" Aloise asked, a realist to the end. She then started to scale the wardrobe herself, motioning for Liam to stay and watch with Sera. It'd be hard to explain what they had been doing, without explaining the existence of necromantics. And while more people knew about them, it wasn't enough yet for the police to accept their word at face value.

Eudora's cries won't appear to be answered at first in the dumbwaiter. No one will respond to her--not verbally, at least. However, something will catch her eye outside of the dumbwaiter, near the wreckage of the wardrobe. There is a small bracelet, with what looks to be several little coins attached to it. If Eudora looks at it, she'll recognize it as a gypsy charm, designed to protect the wearer from harm. There are thousands of knock-offs in the world, sold to just about anyone for any price--but this one, Eudora will realize, is genuine.

Seraphina winced slightly as Eudora slowly pulled out the shard of glass out of Agent Keenan's leg, it reminded her of when she was shot back in Altsoba. She looked towards Aloise the O.M.E.N. agent as the two of them spoke, Sera got the feeling that Folly was innocent as well and but most likely had some sort of information on the murders. She watched as Eudora wrapped up the injured agent's leg with her shawl, then Keenan started pulling himself up through the hole that led into the attic ignoring her suggestion of going downstairs to get medical attention. Sera shrugged slightly as she watched Aloise climbing up after the injured man as well, she walked over towards Eudora as she headed for the dumbwaiter.

She knelt down next to the elderly woman, Seraphina remembered meeting her back in Altsoba but she never got the chance to talk to her. "Whats that you got there?" Seraphina asked looking at the charm in the woman's hands, then she looked over at Liam she didn't talk to him much since leaving Altsoba behind. "So how have things been for you Liam?" Sera asked, she wanted to make some simple small talk while Aloise and Keenan were searching the attic.

Emmie turned her head slightly as Andromeda complained about the slowness of the police, she sort of knew the feeling it took awhile for the police to come to her parents apartment. She gave a slight smile as Andromeda sat down next to her laying a hand on her shoulder, Emmie looked at her for a moment as she spoke to her. Emmie was slightly interested, and she needed something to keep her mind off of what she had witnessed right in front of her.

"I wouldn't mind knowing." Emmie said softly, she knew that Sera was keeping her safe by keeping her down while she went to investigate what had happened where she was. She ran a hand through her hair slightly and leaned back in the seat Emmie ran a hand through her hair, she was slightly nervous having to talk to the cops. Emmie looked down at her hand still holding that hair she wanted to hand it over to Sera once she came back, she didn't really trust the police as much.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Coventry 7th Floor
Interacting With: Sera

Eudora tried to hold onto that fleeting sense of hope as she stared up the shaft. Praying that a meek little voice will finally speak up, but alas, the silence was her only reply. She slowly drew her head out, the disappointment settling on her face as she sighed into the dumbwaiter. "Poor girl," she muttered wearily to herself, "Why do you have to- Hey!" she swung her head towards the agent, mouth agape and eyes wide as she stared at Keenan climbing up the wardrobe, "Your leg!" she tried to yell out but it was too late, Keenan had already scrambled up.

She continued to stare up the hole, "Madman," she muttered before dropping her eyes, following the thick trail of blood he carelessly left behind. She shook her head at the rashness of the youth before stopping abruptly as she noticed something at the base of the wardrobe. Bloodied as it was, it glinted and her curiosity over took her and she stooped down to observe what it was.

She held the wardrobe up with a hand just in case it might fall and gently picked up the glistened object. She immediately recognised the style and design; it was a charm. Ironic seeing as it was a protection charm, but it was a charm nonetheless. A real one at that. Many existed with very little or no power, but this one was different. She could feel its power radiating off it and sending tingles down her fingers.

She carefully looked around, everyone seemed busy with their own thing and Eudora was sure no one would miss a tiny bracelet and so pocketed it, careful to first wipe the drops of blood off it.

Eudora felt like a mastermind sleuth until of course Sera come over and asked her about the charm. She nearly spun around and attacked after being so on edge after she was almost killed by a falling wardrobe. Witches do seem to have really horrible luck when it comes to things falling on them. "It's nothing, dear," she said nonchalantly, trying to brush it all off. "Just a little trinket I found," she said, offering the girl a warm smile. She sighed with relief once she switched focus to someone else while feeling her pockets protectively; the charm danced in her grip and she held onto it tightly. She'll have to look at it further once alone.

Her gaze trailed back towards the wardrobe, curiosity flaring again. If a charm of this much power was found outside it, who knew what lurked inside? Deciding to trust her gut, it kept her alive this long, after all, she stepped forward and gently turned the knobs, opening the doors and peering in carefully only to find...

Liam was less optimistic about miss Valeska's innocence than the agent seemed to be, scoffing as he helped Aloise steady the wardrobe. "Oh yeah, because the act of any proper sane person should be to crush people on the floor below with a damned wardrobe." He muttered to himself mostly, a little grumpy over almost being crushed, but hey, who wouldn't be? As Keenan and Aloise began to climb up into the attic, Liam moved to follow them, habit more than anything, but seeing Aloise motion for him to remain, he sighed and reluctantly did so, keeping a firm grip on his handgun still as he held the wardrobe, just a bit on-edge.

Leaning against the wardrobe, he tapped his finger idly against the safety of his gun, just above the trigger guard, eyes watching the hole above as he waited for any word or sound that something bad was going down, if that was the case, he'd be climbing up to make sure no one got hurt. Hearing Sera speak toward him, he shrugged his shoulders, somewhat agitated as he spoke. "Oh, fine, you know, almost getting crushed or murdered on the regular, god's still an asshole, the usual."

Good, very good my children! You have stumbled upon something perhaps incredibly significant, to the extent that it would feel unfair to give you another clue here. But do not fret--there are still clues imbedded in this, clues as to the identity of the murderer, clues as to why this place, of all places, has seen so much woe. For Alstoba, it was all in the name, was it not? It meant Always in War. I wonder perhaps what Coventry might mean...

Andromeda nodded a bit, glancing at her hands as she pondered how to spin this tale. Ever since she had become aware of necromantics, she always wondered whether there was perhaps a bit of truth to it. Maybe it wasn't just a legend--perhaps it was actual history. Andromeda had dedicated her life to the uncovering of the bizarre--but the strange was no longer a myth. Merely something peculiar. "Alright. Coventry was founded back in 1662 by Tobias Fairfax. The man was an alcoholic and a gambler, and the town attracted those of similar dispositions. But he fell in love, as all men do, with a gypsy. He meant to marry her and she bore his child out of wedlock. In an effort to keep the town from finding out, he killed her."

She paused for a moment, ensuring that Emmie wasn't being overwhelmed by the information. "But with her dying breath, the gypsy cursed him and the town, promising that her child would avenge her. Of course, he thought little of it, but sought out the advice of a priest. The town was blessed, but in 1691, when the child turned seventeen years of age, Coventry burned to the ground. No one survived the flames, and according to local legend, if you listen softly in the middle of the night, you can hear the woman whispering Amirya."

"Has Valeska been living up here?" Aloise muttered to herself, as they poked around the attic. There were blankets and books left about, with small half eaten bags of chips and other goodies. There were changes of clothes, as well as an old map of Coventry, and a small notebook. All in all, it had just about everything a runaway would need to keep going.

"Seems like it, don't it?" Keenan agreed, limping slightly as he moved around the attic. The pair of them were completely alone up there, and he frowned, trying to find some sort of exit. Unless the girl was hiding in the wardrobe, there was nowhere that she could have gone off to. There didn't seem to be a suitable exit, with the window boarded up. "You don't think she has...deviances, do you?" Aloise asked, frowning in confusion.

Meanwhile, as Eudora opens up the wardrobe, something fascinating will occur. The gypsy charm will glow ever so slightly, and as its light touches the wardrobe, the outward appearance disappears. The coats and hats are replaced by a softly glowing purple and blue tunnel, a tunnel that appears to extend indefinitely. There is a powerful magic aura radiating off of it, one that will inspire discomfort in both the Prophet and the Fallen Angel. There is something unnatural, something wrong, something forbidden about it.

But for the witch, it will instead feel beautiful and extravagant. Like a mystery, a secret, something wonderful.

The question is, of course--will you go inside?

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, Seventh Floor
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora, @Pundii Liam Mathews & @Witch Cat Eudora Erebus

Seraphina looked at Eudora and then the little charm for a moment the Witch did seem to know what exactly the thing was, but didn't want to say it directly towards her. But she decided to just leave it at that for now, as she turned her attention back towards Liam as he answered her question. Sera laughed slightly at Liam's comment of god being an asshole, growing up she was never really that religious and didn't really believe in it. That was until she came to Altsoba and finding out what she exactly was. "He certainly can be, kicked me out and still don't even know why." Sera said sarcastically. Her eyes then wondered over towards the wardrobe and then looked at the charm that Eudora was holding in her hand.

She saw the charm starting to glow, and then the insides of the wardrobe she took a step back from the wardrobe and looked down at it as she noticed the swirling portal that looked like it could go down forever. Seraphina looked at Liam then Eudora for a moment getting that very uneasy feeling that the thing felt unnatural or evil, something that could make your skin crawl and hairs stand up. "Aloise and Agent dude, come down here I think we found her escape route!" Sera called out to the two of them. She then took a step forward again, despite what she was feeling out of curiosity drew her hand slightly closer towards it.

"Anyone wonder where this thing leads exactly?" Seraphina asked looking at everyone, she wasn't sure where it would take them if someone did actually enter it, or if it would close behind them if someone did go through it as well.

Emmie Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, First Floor
Interacting With: @Morose Andromeda Aldrich

Emmie leaned back in the seat looking over at Andromeda as she started to tell her the story of Coventry and its founder Tobias, she got the feeling that he was some kind of scummy kind of guy. "He seems like some sort of scummy guy." Emmie said as she continued to listen to Andromeda with her tale. Finding out that he killed the woman he loved due to her getting pregnant out of wedlock seemed very wrong, but then again they were weird times back then. Emmie ran a hand through her hair as she listened more and the gypsy woman cursing him and the town, and finding out that Coventry was burnt down possibly from the curse put on the town.

"Did the girl die in the fire as well and who is Amirya?" Emmie asked it was an interesting story, it did feel like it was something that the town had gone through at some point in its past. She started to then wonder when exactly the police would be coming, back in the city they were very quick.

Eudora Esmeralda Erebus

Location: Mystery Hole
Interacting With: Sera @Nallore

Eudora immediately took notice of the charm's glow. She curled her hand around it tighter and held it close as she peered in, what she saw made her heart leap to her throat. Her hand jerked up towards her beating heart as she let out a soft gasp of utter bemusement. And yet, a fluttering sense of excitement swelled in her as she gazed down that endless tunnel, energy, purer than she's ever seen, radiated off it. She could feel it coursing through her, sending what felt like little shocks through her. Her wrinkled face glowed as it stretched into a joyous smile, just the wonder of what lay within was enough to make her feel youthful again.

She wanted to dive into it and leave behind any second thoughts, however, there was a moment's hesitation. Was she prepared for what lay ahead? She wanted to close the door, cry out for someone to come see this, but the seductive aura of the tunnel took hold of her. Eudora wanted to listen to Sera, to explain what was going on but she didn’t, she couldn’t. Practically shoving Sera aside, Eudra dropped into the hole, crawling with a great burst of energy deeper and deeper into the swirling tunnel.

What the hell did she just do?

Liam Matthews

Interacting With: Aloise Zamora @Morose

Remaining where he was, Liam sighed as he listened to Sera, unable to stifle a soft chuckle at her reply as he waited for Aloise and the agent to return from where they were in the attic. As Eudora opened up the wardrobe, Liam raised an eyebrow and stepped away from it. Stepping around the wardrobe to stand behind the two ladies, Liam raised an eyebrow as he peered inside, seeing the deep tunnel. The feeling he got in his gut reminded him far too well of the sorts of feelings he'd gotten in bad situations before, the kind of situations which tended to escalate to whole new levels of 'I don't want to deal with this'. If there was one thing that Liam knew for sure, it was that he wasn't touching the damn thing.

He was about to speak up and recommend the others do the same, when Eudora seemed to get a little too excited, shoving Sera into the tunnel before she jumped into it herself. Liam stood there for a moment, perhaps just gobsmacked at what exactly had just happened, before he began to gather himself again, sighing as he reached up to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Aloise, Sera and the witch just jumped into Alice's hole to wonderland, and unless i'm gettin' paid for this I ain't following." It was a lie, inevitably he was confident Aloise would want to investigate, meaning as stubborn as he might've acted against going into the hole, or even having anything to do with it, Liam knew full well he was likely to be dragged into it.

December 28th, 2016 -

Andromeda frowned slightly. The police still hadn't arrived, and it wasn't like they were out in the sticks. It didn't make much sense to her, and she glanced outside briefly, expecting to see the flashing red and blue lights at any moment. But seeing none, she returned her attention to Emmie, nodding. "Tobias Fairfax was a product of his time--but yes, scummy is a good description." At Emmie's questions, Andromeda had to think for a moment. "Amiyra isn't the name of a person--it's a gypsy word meaning curse. Not the most creative thing to say with your dying breath, but if the legend is true, it worked just as well...Tobias murdered the mother, if that's what you mean. There are varying stories of what happened to the child--some claim the child wasn't human, others say the child perished in the fire, some say it was a daughter, others a son, some a pair of twins...There isn't quite enough standardization with that portion of the tale."

Back upstairs, in the attic, Keenan didn't answer Aloise's question. But that in itself was enough to let her know that there was something more to all of this. "What else is going on here, Keenan?" Aloise asked, skeptical that he was telling her everything--and even more skeptical that he'd answer her question. Keenan merely shook his head, heading out of the attic, and rejoining the others on the seventh floor.

"Escape route?" Keenan asked, before his eyes fell on the tunnel inside of the wardrobe. He frowned, pulling a device that looked similar to a geiger counter out of his pocket. Once it gave him a reading, his frown only deepened, practically etched into his face at this point. "That's impossible..." It wasn't clear whether it was the reading or the tunnel he was referring to.

"Eudora went in there? Shit," Aloise cursed, looking at Sera and Liam, as if she was wondering if they'd be jumping in there next. "This thing could be incredibly dangerous...deadly, even. Until we know what it is, don't touch it."

And before Aloise can finish her sentence, Liam's mind will go elsewhere. He will see a cloaked figure, tied in chains, screaming and begging for help. With each scream, the vision becomes a little hazier. Liam will be able to make out what appear to be filing cabinets, organized by a series of numbers and reference letters in the room as well. Beyond that, all he can hear is a sinister laugh, a mocking voice saying: "I must say, you are far more entertaining than the little witch boy...And useful. Kumakatok are so hard to find these days!"

December 28th, 1929 -

As Eudora exits the tunnel, her ears will pop ever so slightly, as if she went from one pressure difference to another. Emerging from the tunnel, she will find herself in the attic of the hotel, but entirely alone. There is no sign of Aloise, Keenan, Sera, Liam, or anyone else. There is no hint of Folly Valeska. The room is furnished marginally, with an unkempt bed, a wardrobe (which Eudora emerged from), and various bits and bobbles. It will become readily apparent that it is a child's bedroom.

Peering out through the windows, Eudora will notice that the entire landscape of Coventry has changed. Gone is the modern day, replaced with something that appears to be straight out of a movie. If she has not grasped the concept quite yet, it will become readily apparent. She has gone back in time.

"Chivvia?" a questioning voice will ask, as a young girl steps out from behind the wardrobe, having narrowly squeezed into the space between it and the wall. Eudora will recognize the face from the papers and the news. The girl is Folly Valeska, the young girl of gypsy heritage thought to be responsible for the murders. In her hands, she holds the gun used to kill Alex, but she does not seem to intend any harm to Eudora--at the moment.

Seraphina Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, Seventh Floor
Interacting With: @Morose Aloise Zamora, Carbry Keenan & @Pundii Liam Mathews

Seraphina was about to try and stop Eudora from jumping into whatever the hell the magic portal would take the elderly witch to, Eudora had shoved her out of the way just as she watched her fall into it. "What the fucking hell is she even thinking?" Seraphina asked as she looked up at Liam. "I think you drank a little to much this morning, Eudora just jumped in there I sure as hell wouldn't go down to god know fucking where." Sera said, she stood up running a hand through her hair letting out a loud sigh just hoping that there was a way to get the old woman back. Before going out to Altsoba she never thought of seeing magic portals to Narina or even witnessing Lucifer possessing a person in front of her.

She turned to look up at Aloise and Keenan as they both climbed back out of the hole that the wardrobe had caused, looking back down she shuddered slightly still getting that creepy evil vibe coming from it. Seraphina raised an eyebrow when the O.M.E.N. agent pulled out some kind of device. "So what the hell is that thing there aside it being the obvious of being some kind of evil portal thing?" Seraphina asked looking over at the agent then over to Aloise. "I'm still you know new to the whole supernatural, necromantic shit."

But Seraphina did agree to not go anywhere near the portal, she didn't know where it would take them it could take them into space for all she knew. And Seraphina also had to look after Emmie as well, she promised she wouldn't leave the girl behind at all she then started to wonder when the police would actually arrive. Being a former cop herself she knew that the police would have been here by now they were never slow like this at all.

Emmie Adams

Location: Coventry Horrors, First Floor
Interacting With: @Morose Andromeda Aldrich

Emmie could have sworn that it was a name, it sounded like a name to her but then again she didn't speak any other language either it seemed to be a pretty grim story to her. She looked out towards the front of the hotel she still hadn't heard the police sirens coming down the street yet. They usually came pretty quick after a 911 call, even in the city they were really quick a small town like Coventry they should have been here by now. "Are you sure you called the police?"

Emmie started to worry about Sera, she looked up to the woman like an older sister. "Is there anything I can you know uhm do around here?" Emmie asked, she wanted to keep her mind busy still very shaken up after witnessing a murder before her own eyes. Emmie gently rubbed her shoulder still shaking ever so slightly. "Should we like go up there or something?"
