@13orgSomething tells me you've been playing Battlefield 1. As far as the answer to weapons of that type: No. Borovia is a poor country, minus the Baron and some other notable figures, and the more unique weapons there are among the men, the more ammo needs to be bought from different sources. The whole purpose of having the standard-issue gear in the intro post, was because I wanted to AVOID characters with their "special snowflake" weapon loadouts, and all of them being Great War veterans with complete military experience. I've already cut out many different military positions and professions to try and reflect this. Having BC and Selune with unique gear is bordering my limit. If you REALLY have your heart set on an automatic weapon, the Machine Gunner position, with the Madsen light machine gun(which is much closer to an automatic rifle than a true machine gun) seems close enough to me, so I would guide you towards that.

@DepressedSoviet

What is Germany's political background in the RP?

@13orgAt this moment, the last months of the Freikorps and the pre-Versailles military are being witnessed, with many former veterans being left destitute after their divisions are disbanded. The Kapp Putsch and the subsequent military coup have not happened yet, though are currently in the works. Hyperinflation hasn't yet taken hold, though the German Mark certainly isn't worth what it was before and during the Great War. The Communist party, despite taking military blows during the 1918 revolution, holds about 10% of the population politically, and as such several different parties have made appearances specifically to oppose the influence of the Communists, such as the German Worker's Party, recently renamed the National Socialist German Worker's Party, and gaining a significant following in their home city of Munich.

I just remembered that the Freikorps, before they became bona-fide Nazis, were mercs. Aw yeah.

What age would be appropriate for someone without Combat experience in the war having been recruited be? I ask because I would wish to play a Czech (armored?) car driver who doesn't yet realize the harshness of combat and is somewhat idealistically in the Blackshirts due to make up for 'missing' the war.

@CommodoreAustrai-Hungary's conscription age was 17, so if you have him be an age younger than that by the end of the war in 1918, and add 2 years to that age for the current year being 1920, then you'll have a good age for that character.

@DepressedSoviet Thank you, I was also wondering if in terms of the roleplay if the specificity of the vehicle is necessary for the "vehicle driver" thing? Or if you have some preference with that both as in vehicle types and perhaps specific vehicles?

@CommodoreBasically, the only specifics for vehicles should be some sort of European Civilian vehicle appropriate to the time period, modified for a military purpose, which usually entails either the addition of a machine gun, armor plating, or sometimes both. Most every vehicle used by the Blackshirts is a civilian vehicle, confiscated and retrofitted with military upgrades, so as far as what vehicle it is specifically, you have a bit of free reign there.
EDIT: also, as far as standard-issue gear for a Vehicle Driver, use the cavalry carbine found in the intro post.

@DepressedSoviet Thank you again, I'll definitely have to have a look around early interwar-late Great War civilian vehicles later when I have the chance.

@DepressedSoviet

I found some really nice pics, but i'm uncertain If I should make a machine gunner (the madson is so freaking majestic we have some in display here where I live, on the military museums.) or a slightly sadistic medic.

Oh, and already working on my CSS as well :-)

@DepressedSoviet

I had an idea to play as a Swiss immigrant who used to be an immigration officer before moving to Borovia and becoming a blackshirt.

He also was conscripted into the Swiss military but never saw any actual combat because Switzerland is known for maintaining neutrality. Afterward he kept his Schmidt-Rubin rifle. How's that sound?

And Pyotr's sheet is complete, @DepressedSoviet. I've tried to be as accurate about borders at the time as I can, so do inform me if I've gotten something completely wrong; the biggest change I've made from the initial draft is that he's now a defector from Russia's White Army, rather than the Red Army, since the Bolsheviks running the latter apparently really disliked Cossacks.
