@Holy Grail Gave it a look, and you're set to post the sheet in the Character tab to further work on and you can now post in the IC.

And @jbeil, just checking if you're still interested and if progress if going well for your sheet if you're still in.

@Sigma The world was conquered maybe ~150 years ago, and other life in the system discovered maybe 30-40 years ago. With that in mind, any currently living humans would not remember what it was like not to be ruled by the Empire. The human population on other worlds would be small, and mostly made up of refugees. It is entirely possible that people would attempt to leave, but such an act would be considered a crime. Aliens could make a fortune shipping people off the planet, but the Invigilator guns would make that one hell of a dangerous profession.

@JaceBeleren Ah, ok then. That would be the plan actually, the human population of Aurolia being descendants of the first wave of refugees.

Done! Though i am struggling to think of a first post for them, on to of some things that have come up to bite into my time for the next several days. So might be able to get a post up today if i am lucky, at worst i will be posting sometime next Monday or Tuesday. Just wanted to give everyone a head's up on that matter.

Though in the meantime i am curious to know how the other nations would view the Xenor Kingdom and how relations would have been between them. Anyone want to help take a crack at it? :P

@Holy Grail Human-wise, the Empire would probably see the Xenor as a threat, due to their military capabilities and their philosphies being pretty much opposite to each other (the humans being oppressive and conversative, the Xenor being more open-minded). Of the Assar-Rhen, Kyriarka in particular would hold some respect for Kriisha. The similarities are there: both are matriarchal leaders from a single-gendered species, with an emphasis on martial strength and off-shoots of the humsn race. And considering the way Kyriarka thinks, respect is probably the best anyone can get from her.

@Holy Grail Looking at your species.
Holy shit they have a strong military.
A question which comes to mind is why? But perhaps the Vraslil wanted good troops, bio-enginered militarism into them, but couldn't find a good way to enslave them.

I might have to redesign some of my things :P (Jokes aside, i have considered going for more plasma, and ditching the lasers myself.)

As for how the Schäferkin would think of the Xenor.
They would hold respect for them, even if their single gender nature would confuse them slightly. However Schäferkin only puts biological facts as differences between the sexes.
Being sexually monomorphic, ie, the sexes are the same apart from the reproductory organs. Schäferkin have about the same physical expectations between the sexes, while males are often more driven and proactive.

Hence why most of the Prime Alphas have been male.

So the Xenor are probably seen as interesting.
It would be cool if the two nations had some sort of military training contract between them. Doing military drills and scenarios against each other.

I'm wondering who would be more potent in a fight, a Schäferkin or a Xenor.
The Xenor would laugh at the Schäferkins long range firepower, seeing they basically don't have it on their troops. However in close quarter a battle-born soldier with power armour is a massive and monstrously dangerous individual capable of ripping the arms of a human with a little effort.
So it probably depends on the battleground more. And the individual training of the troops at hand.
When reading about the Hellhounds i imagined Schäferkin wrestling with it to prove their prowess. But it was just a thought, i think the Hellhound would probably be more dangerous than a single Schäferkin in CQC.

What i am worried about is the force screens, since no one else has them IIRC, and the Xenor has it on everything, even bio-tech armour, i wonder how powerful it is.
How good is the armour without it? Those kind of things.
I guess i need to think of that for my own armours as well, but still.

I guess the Schäferkin will do their usual deal.
"Those people are weird, better keep away from them." Like they do with basically everyone.

But if you have a cool interaction idea, feel free to suggest.
Do know that the Schäferkin are kinda new on the interplanetary scale.

@Sigma Speaking of meatballs, I suppose the Quitzokotl are now Npc's?

Considering most of the Vraslil who were still curious about where the experiment might go left the moon with them and that, by this time, most, if not all, of those actually involved with it are dead (non-enhanced Vraslil are not very long-lived, after all, and centuries have passed since then), the views on the Xenor of most of Erelvath's inhabitants would probably fall somewhere between indifferent and wary lest they someday decide to take their revenge for being exiled. The Covenant views them as a minor nuisance at best, the Iurrkhal never were especially concerned about them, and most Vraslil are too focused on their current projects to do anything more than occasionally reminisce of that one.

That said, it is quite likely these attitudes might change in the very near future. The whole matter has suggested to me there might actually be an ideology promoting the enforcement of "purity" taking root within the Covenant since those days, though in a rather non-traditional sense, which could perhaps lead to a radical faction arising which seeks to wipe out the Xenor altogether. Likewise, some Vraslil might become interested in reclaiming their biological designs and those they have themselves developed - if necessary, by force.

@Klomster Well, due to Clock leaving, and the fact the Quitzokotl haven't been mentioned in the IC(Unless I'm mistaking), then I would say they could be rectoned out, unless of course you and the others would prefer to keep them in the setting.

@jbeil Thanks for letting me know :)

@Sigma When you mention it it doesn't seem they ever showed up IC.

Oh well, i'm rather indifferent to them being in.
Neither for nor against.
It's another thing to use if they are in. A place for conflict and story.

At the same time it's another place to keep track off.

@JuliusCaesar Just checking if you're still with us :)

I also noticed you're kind of seperated-ish from the plotlines, if you wish to make up any plots or get involved in existing ones, just ask any of us, that is if you still wish to participate.

@Klomster I had considered doing that as well, but unfortunately it would merely be a gallery with brief summaries(Eh, may do so anyway), I'm no expert on firearms.

There, i have now added a section providing descriptions of the different Schäferkin weapons normally used, provided more description on the potency of their armour and added a few basic things that should have been in to begin with.

Like the space mask.

I think that i got a reasonable level on the power armours. I want them to badass and powerful, but not OP.

@Klomster The forecefields are just extra protection, which is depleted while it takes damage that armor would otherwise not. Eventually it runs out, and takes a little bit to charge again. Imagine a temporary, recharge-able defense, which is stacked on top of high-quality armor and weaponry. In essence, it is meant to make units more tanky than they already are with the armor quality in regards to thing such as the biotech armor they have, or to compensate for a lack of armor and/or protecting vital areas on a vehicle as is the case with one of the fighter types i created for them.

Will think of some possible interesting interaction ideas and such for the Schäferkin and the Xenor. Off of the top of my head, though, I could almost imagine the two just being the best of military buddies somehow.

@CaptainBritton Your species looks like The Covenent from Halo...which is pretty cool! :)

@JaceBeleren Makes sense they would see the Xenor like that. Would they ever consider being allies or something of the sort, though, or would they be too wary of the Xenor for any positive relations to exist?

@OraculumThat...that could perhaps make a good story in the future, once the current war situation is finished.

@Sigma Feeling a bit overwhelmed, and have a lot to do irl and otherwise still. Trying to plan a day to post, but right now struggling a bit. I am so sorry this is happening right after i joined this roleplay! (T__T)

@Holy Grail So it's ablative armour. Check.
However, i still don't know how much damage it can take. Is it like it goes down after a smg hit, or an rpg hit? Or not even anti-ship hits?

Some game worlds have rather OP shields, while some have rather tame ones. I'm just after what kind you had.

Btw.
Which species have shields?
The Schäferkin don't. Not even on their ships.

@Holy Grail Aside from the occasional commando (or unit), and any negotiations between humans and off-worlders (making sure the human don't try to betray them), Assar-Rhen rarely venture off Terra. They could end up as allies, but only if they were given a reason to. They have peace with the humans and no one else on their planet, so they are comfortable for the time being.

@JaceBeleren What about in the case of the humans themselves? Would they be too distrusting or different to have any positive relations with the Xenor Kingdom? Or would they possibly follow the saying "keep you friends close, and keep your [possible] enemies closer"?

@Klomster Yeah, it is pretty much re-chargeable, re-usable ablative armor, which takes some time to recharge the shields once depleted, but can viably be re-deployed in battle once it recharges. Good for long or protracted instances of combat, where having this shield allows troops to last longer in combat than the average, but finds less use in very fast, quickly-ending instances of combat where it can be depleted but does not have the time to recharge before the battle is over.

As for the shield's durability, i am still trying to decide this. There are many armors worn by troops of the various nations, and i still do not know the durability of that armor so i can work out a good level of defensive strength for it (and the regular troop armor under it as well).

It is of note that the shields for the ships are going to be definitely better than what the infantry has, and the planetary shield around Halcyon-VI itself is perhaps the strongest force field the Xenor have (which is most definitely saying something) above all others.

Still also trying to think over Schäferkin and Xenor relations as well, albeit with irl things and such being busy on my end i am not sure if i can make a post by the end of Tuesday. *sighs*

Though if you wanted, on another note, perhaps the Xenor could have traded the Schäferkin some force-field technology, perhaps a modified version of Hellhounds for them to use as well if the Schäferkin and Xenor had some kind of solid military alliance/trade agreement or the like?

@Holy Grail I like the ideas but i don't know if the Schäferkin.
(A) Trust the Xenor.
(B) Properly know of the Xenor.
(C) Has anything to offer really.

However, seeing i am a garden world player, i'd assume my planet holds vastly more resources and space than a lesser world like the world of the Xenor.
So there's probably something i could trade.

Perhaps the Xenor matriarch is a great fan of Beauty power? :P
