@Xandrya I thought Fyre and I were doing a collab post tonight, so that I wouldn't have to do two or even three separate GM posts in order to move everyone along. But he just, in his own words, "crashed," after a work shift. Waiting for him is seldom a good idea, so it won't go on much longer.

I was supposed to write shit on Wednesday, I know, but I totally forgot that I had court that day. Those are 6 hours of my life that I'm not getting back, and I was too tired to get shit done after driving the hour or so back home.

Makes you sorta wish there was a place where you could escape society's bullshit laws, eh? Even if there was a natural disaster or two that you had to fend off in the process. Sigh.

As for you personally, you said nothing about actually reaching Marcel's group, so they're just gonna brood a little while they walk. I assume you'll reach them in your next post since you're very trigger-happy when it comes to timeskips.

@pugbutter Well no, it's just that Amelia's first reaction upon coming across the massacre was to hunt down Marcel and his gang. She may find them, she may not. Someone could have been left behind waiting for Amelia to go after them, etc. I mean, it can go a number of ways, but if you want to give me a bit more freedom, let me know. If not, you can go ahead and direct what occurs next.

But yeah, I was only asking what was to occur next, not rushing you. The one time I had jury duty I wasn't needed after the 2 hours or so I sat there waiting, but I did take the rest of the day off.

@Xandrya He and I eventually agreed last night that he's writing a solo post, and that our collab post will wait until next time. So I'm still on for skipping our scene with Templar, but moving on with yours and also with Silver's/Hatter's.

Since it's already overdue, it's the first thing I'm doing when I get home from work today.

Sorry for the slight delay, been a hell of a week.

All right, mates. I tried to keep it alive despite the odds, but now that we've lost even more people to inactivity and apathy, I suppose it's time to acknowledge this RP's death. We've received no new apps in months, and of the apps we did receive, we had a pathetic 36% player retention rate; these numbers are unsustainable, so I'm calling it quits and leaving CnSn to the wolves. We kept it on life support for a while but it's time to finally put the thing to rest.

I take most of the blame for the RP's failure. My OP in the OOC could have been longer. I could have been warier of incoming players, performing background checks on their posting histories to see whether they had any histories of abandoning RPs. I could have made the IC posts immediately engaging and exciting instead of trying to ease us into slow, methodical character development. I could have done a better job of advertising the game.

@Xandrya@Fyre Unholy@SilverFallen@TheMadAsshatter The inactive/deserter players obviously ought to be ashamed, because I know I'm not the only one they've fucked and will continue to fuck on this site, but you four are blameless; you stuck it out to the end, even when morale was low, even when others were leaving in droves. For that you've earned my respect. If I GM again in the future, I will accept any of you into the RP with open arms.

I was actually working on a post, but if you're sure you're pulling the plug, well, it's been fun.

@TheMadAsshatter Yep. Sorry. It became clear through yet another player's posting activity (signing up for other RPs less than 12 hours ago, but being "unable" to keep up with this one) that we were going to lose another person very soon, if we hadn't already.

Plus Fyre is having connection issues or some-such, so even though he wants to be here, he is unable for IRL reasons. I'm sure he'll tell me what happened whenever he gets back online.

That leaves four people, two of whom are all alone IC without any travel buddies. If you were writing a post then you've been screwed the most out of everyone who's still here, for which I apologize, but that's the way it is. If I can make it up to you somehow, shoot me a PM.

It's all good. These things happen, and just as well if I'm being honest. Creative juices haven't been flowing great for me lately, but for what it's worth I enjoyed it while it lasted.
