Another really good game for kick ass music. (even if the game has gone a LITTLE downhill...)

I still live in hope of Quaggans being made a playable race. Anyway! Music! Right. I like it. It's got a nice sort of build up of tension to it, with those little drum rolls coming in half way through, and it's dramatic without being too over the top. It kind of makes me wonder how much consideration is given to the fact that people are likely going to be shouting at one another communicating effectively during raid bosses when it comes to composing music for MMOs. It must be a bit odd, composing music that you know is going to have people talking over it. Anyway, I'd rate that as an 8 / 10, it does what it does well, and I'll wear my Quaggan hat rather than my bear hat today for good measure.

Have something relentlessly cheerful and upbeat to scare away the Monday blues.

Bungie's Halo games have stellar soundtracks

Edit: Oops, forgot to vote. I give the above a 5/10, it's okay.

@Hylozoist Because no one rated you, I shall do my civic duties. *salutes* Anyway...um-well the instrumental is upbeat and fun, the vocals were making me waver to add 1 point for being weird and amusing and minus 1 for being obnoxious...in the end I couldn't decide. If people found the vocals cute, I could see that being pretty enjoyable for somebody. 6/10 Decent

@Lautrec Didn't vote. :3 Though others forgot to and no one enforcing the rules seems to care about that rule. So it's fine. :D Music was decent, I suppose I'll rate it a 7.5/10 because it didn't feel like it dragged on and I could easily listen to it.

I dont know it's probably just me,but you can almost easily discern the jrpg-ness (if that could even be a word), Imma guess that it's the frisky guitar riffs, which I often observe in most jrpg soundtracks. Honestly I think it's quite satisfactory, if not a bit common to the ears. 6/10.

Probably one of my fave soundtracks. This game literally left me emotionally broken for days. >_<

Y'know, I've never actually played a Silent Hill game, so I've never actually listened to any of the soundtracks. I might have to change that, because damn, I'm digging this.

It's got like this... I dunno, this lonely, wistful sound to it. Like you're in this shitty dive bar across town and somewhere after the third of forth shot of whatever drain cleaner they're trying to pass for vodka, you look around and see that you're alone. No regulars, no bartender, no bouncer smelling vaguely like piss and strongly like BO. Just you. And outside there's a light drizzle, the buzzing of the streetlamps, but no cars, no people. Just you and the bar. You think about going home, but hell, what's one more drink gonna hurt?

Think that was pretentious? Well here's the opening track from one of the most pretentious JRPGs to come out of the 90's that wasn't Xenogears: Chrono Cross.

@OgobrogoThis game has such an epic and beautiful sound track all-round, and this is one of the more iconic tracks, really uplifting and fun.

The instruments arent exactly my favorite but they are used so well here I cant help but forgive that. 8/10

@Dynamo Frokane I appreciate the instrumental variety in this particular track, the piano, guitar, and synth stuff is all very well put together. 8/10 Good track.

Sorry, this track is a lil long. <.<

I am a sucker for the sweeping, orchestral style! And the vocals are pretty nice too. However, there's nothing in particular that makes it stand out to me. It's just generically good. Which is fine, of course. :) I give it an 8/10!

5/10. It's both frantic and frilly. Doesn't seem to know what it wants to be. Then again, maybe it works contextually with a chaotic scene or something, I dunno.

STRINGSSSSSSS!!!!!

@Lucian10/10, obviously!

xD Na, I do love the cookiness, suits their games very well indeed.

For my entry, I couldn't pick a song from the game, I recommend anyone listen to the soundtrack, but I have to present the following song-

While I am a fan of music like this generally, this one didn't really do it for me. The instrumental parts were amazing, but the song overall would be much better without the singing IMO. (It would also help if I could tell what they were singing, haha.) 7/10.

@Tojin I will admit, I am 99% ignorant when it comes to both video games and music, but there are a few I feel passionately about, so I'll do my best to rate yours! I'm just kind of stream-of-consciousness going through yours because I'll lose all my ideas if I wait until the end!

(Don't know the game - apologize for ignorance). I love the piano; subjectively it is one of my favorite instruments. Mixing piano and strings is even better. Good build to bombast without being overwhelming. The transition from peaceful intro to more upbeat was pretty seamless, it snuck up on me! Winds are cute. Overall, a good song soothing parts building into more exciting parts with so little effort I didn't even notice. I feel like if I was playing the game, the music wouldn't stress me out (which is good). 8/10

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention this one:

@SleepingSilence 8/10 because i have to. Twisted Metal is so great. Twisted Metal 3 specifically when you just unload ricochet bombs EVERYWHERE AND EVERYONE DIES BECAUSE THEY CANT GET AWAY.

speaking of metal gear solid, I would do the classic songs of the first one but I just love this one too much to not use it rn:

@Rai Sorry but I have to pass on reviewing your video. It is blocked in my country. I could've waited until someone else reviewed your music before posting but as of this posting, it's been three days. And also, the name of the game is to give your critique and a score out of ten to the music posted by the previous poster alongside posting your music.

@Dark Wind The music is very dramatic and thematic. It reminds me of the music one would hear in Vietnam war movies. 7/10

@TwelveOf8 Im glad I stuck with this past the 1:00 mark, it definately builds into something bright and enjoyable. This is basically what sonic music is best at, its sunny daytime tracks that make moving fast feel exciting but also relaxing at the same time. I find the synths a little plastic sounding but the melody saves it. 8.5/10

(inspired my pick)
