Name: Nyla (Edwin)
Appearance:
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Ability: Healing, she can heal others, but this causes her pain, which can be more severe depending on the wound. It also weakens her. It takes her time to heal wounds, but once started, the victims own pain vanish completely, replaced with warm comfortable feelings. She is better at repairing damage to the body then sickness or poison, which she can do, it just takes longer.
Her ability also goes in the other direction, she can use another person to heal herself, but they experience the pain she feels when she’s healing someone, as well as becoming weaker.
People are unable to use their powers well she’s healing or taking from them (making this her only useful combat ability, as well as a downside for a support role in combat).
She needs skin to skin contact to use her ability.
She is physically weak, but can become temporarily stronger well healing herself.
She can sense when another person is feeling pain as long as it’s not mental or emotional.
Personality: Insane. Happy, but insane. She loves people and hates being alone. She can go from happy to sad in less than a second if she finds that there is no one there with her, but it can also take her awhile to figure out that she is alone. And it doesn’t matter who’s with her, she sees everyone as if they were a single person, so she’ll sometimes try to start back up a conversation she never actually had with that person. She has no sense of direction or danger, so sometimes people will be sent to find her and bring her back (I hope the office is locked).
She’s addicted to pain, so whenever someone’s hurting she will try to heal them. Because of this her morals are messed up, she sees self-inflicted harm as a good thing. The only thing she is against is death and killing.
History: It’s unknown what happened to her parents, but for as long as she remembers, she was raised in a hospital by the staff there. They weren’t bad people, but she was often alone. They never forced her to heal anyone, but she found that she was around people more often when she healed, and that they praised her when she did. She constantly healed others so she could feel the warmth and affection of others, and just put up with the pain. But because she always had to feel pain to get love, she soon connected them as the same thing, and soon after became addicted.
She had been saving people’s lives sense the age of six, so when she hurt another person, instead of sending her to an insane asylum, they sent her to a place that wouldn’t make her lonely, and the people could handle themselves if she tried anything funny.
Other: She couldn’t take the train, so one of the staff drove her there.
