Name - William 'Will' Wayde

Alias - Steel II

Age - 19

Sponsor - Superman

Personality - intelligent, quiet, confident

Experience - six months

Powers -

Will possesses no superhuman powers. He is an exceptionally gifted intellect that specializes in various fields of engineering. Graduating both high school and technical college in record time, he built bullet proof armor whose computerized pneumatic exoskeletal joints gave him superhuman strength in the form of electro-magnetic field generation. He also uses his tech to electro-magnetically propel himself through the air in the form of 'Super Jumps', as regular flying makes him sick.

Faceplate systems include broadband communications array, VDU readouts for environmental controls, and retractable thermal vision lenses.

Hammer Abilities

Remote-controlled
Can alter trajectory or stop mid-throw
Polarizing inertial dampers within hammer increase inertia relative to distance hurled
Magnetically attaches to back of armor.
Segmented handle telescopes into locked position.

Weaknesses -

Exhaustion will always be the bane of his existence. Vision based and noise based attacks, as well as mental attacks affect him the same as anyone. Enchanted weaponry Trumps tech and any alien Super DNA laying around as well.

Appearance -

BRIEF Bio -

Wayde was your average software developer working at Steelworks when he stumbled on the secret of his boss... that he was once the ally of Superman called Steel! Will worked for weeks building part of his own tech enhanced armor before revealing to his employer that he knew about his secret identity. It had been a couple years since John Irons stopped trying to be a hero to focus on his company and raising his youngest daughter Natasha who was still just fourteen. Irons began mentoring Wayde when not actually at work and mentioned Superman looking for a recruit for some new League outreach program of sorts. Wayde was the first person Irons thought of.

Over the last five months, William Wayde had put himself out there to try and gain some attention. There was an all new and all different Steel running around. Surely nobody would confuse him with the last one... he didn't wear a full suit of armor and doesn't have a cape. Then again sometimes people look past certain things and their own stupidity takes over.

Will eventually caught his break weeks ago when going up against the villain Deadline who was a mercenary hired to kill a reporter at the Daily Planet: Clark Kent.

Notes - Steel caught Deadline setting up to take down Clark Kent and a fight ensued. After getting away from Perry White, Superman finally hit the scene. However, Will had already managed to completely take down the mercenary. The hammer was just too much for the guns and ammo to be effective. Seeing firsthand what the kid was capable of was enough to know John Irons did right by this kid. Superman explained the Young Justice program and Will accepted the invite. Really... who could turn Superman down?

SAMPLE POST -

Clark Kent was in the office of Perry White, editor of the Daily Planet. The older gentleman had been going off on the disguised Kryptonian, for chasing a story the editor told him to stay away from. The last time Intergang was pursued a city was left in ruins thanks to a giant humanoid machine, and dozens of craters were left throughout the town, and several branches of STAR Labs across the nation suffered damage and a total of four casualties. Clark could hear the mercenary setting up for a kill. Perry's office was the least populated part of the building, so Superman stayed put and didn't act alarmed. He half listened to the editor tearing into him as he used his X-Ray vision to look at the scene outside. It was 4 pm on a Tuesday. That's when the all new Steel hit the scene.

"What's the matter with you, Kent? Am I boring you?" Perry White asked standing up from his office chair.

"No... no it's not that Mr. White. I just thought I heard something outside..." the nervous sounding Clark responded.

Outside...

"That's a nice gun, bet it's not for paintball!" Steel screamed after landing on top of the neighboring building where the merc was setting up.

The masked teen threw his hammer and destroyed the large gun and the hammer hit the ground on the far side of the rooftop. The globe on top of the Daily Planet could be seen behind the mercenary and the fallen hammer.

"You think I only brought one gun?!" the man screamed, "I'm DEADLINE, the HUMAN WEAPON!"

He came in close quarters and fired a couple shots in between a flurry of punches that just bounced off the kid's armor. When Will pulled back to throw a knockout punch he was shocked to see his enemy phase through the attack leaving the new Steel off his guard and on the ground.

"That armor's not half bad kid. Might make a buck off it once I ace you and this reporter..." Deadline joked aiming his pistol in the back of the teen head where the face-plate didn't cover.

"You'd get more for the hammer, idiot..." Steel responded, "Return." and as the last word escaped his mouth the hammer lifted itself from the ground and flew back towards the two men knocking the assassin out cold before resting in the hand of the teen inventor.

Three minutes had gone by. Maybe four. Clark Kent finally escaped the fury of his editor in chief. The reporter rushed to a storage closet and then flew out of the window just in time to see the young hero standing over the merc and crushing the last of his guns.

"You're that kid John was telling me about aren't you?" Superman asked.

"This guy phased through an attack earlier, you might wanna call somebody before he wakes back up..." Steel said in a disguised voice calmly.

"So do you know John or is there some other kid running around in a Steel suit and using a hammer?" Superman asked again touching down on the rooftop within arms reach of Deadline and the new Steel.

"I'm sorry Superman, I'm just trying to stay calm and not go geek mode. I'm a big fan." Will replied trying to keep his cool, and stand a little taller in the presence of greatness.

"It's good to finally meet you..." Superman began, extending his hand for a shake and quickly getting the hand of Will's, "Did John tell you anything about the program...?"

A L I A S :
Stinger (Or simply Sting)

A G E :
17

S P O N S O R :
Vixen

P E R S O N A L I T Y :
Energetic, Flirty, Spunky

E X P E R I E N C E :
Eight Months

P O W E R ( S ) :
M E T A H U M A N A B I L I T I E S :
SHRINKING:Karlie was born as a meta-human with the ability to shrink down to nearly microscopic size. As a result of this, Karlie's strength and speed increases as she becomes smaller, her cells becoming denser further increasing her durability as well.
At her smallest size, roughly 0.4 in (5mm), Karlie's strength is increased by a factor of ten meaning that even at the size of the average honey bee, Karlie can toss a full grown man. A feat that she could not do at her normal size. Likewise, Karlie, when shrunk, is durable enough to withstand a bullet (although doing so would be equal to being hit by a car) and fast enough to run at speeds which would be on par with fifty miles per hour (80 kph), however due to her size, this is actually proportionately. If her normal stride takes her roughly two feet forward while standing over five feet tall, then when shrunk, Karlie's stride only carries her 0.16 of an inch. Therefore Karlie would only be covering a distance of eight miles in an hour at her shrunken size.

S U P E R S U I T A U G M E N T A T I O N S :
FLIGHT: As moving around at 0.4 inches tall isn't very efficient, Karlie possesses a supersuit which augments her metahuman abilities. The most notable method which the suit augments her is in the creation of hardlight translucent insectoid wings. These wings grant Karlie the ability to glide when normal sized and when shrunken allow her to fly at speeds of up to a hundred miles per hour. Unlike her running speed, this does compensate for her size meaning that even at 0.4 inches tall, Karlie is covering a distance of a hundred miles in an hour.

PARALYSIS: The gloves on Karlie's suit are able to harness her natural bio-electricity and create a powerful shock which can inflict paralysis within her foes. This shock can be used in melee combat or can be extended to a ranged attack. In order to create a ranged attack, Karlie must put her hands together and combine the bio-electricity from both hands in order to create enough polarity to electro-magnetically launch the shock at a distance. She often humorously does this while creating a finger gun.

FORCE-FIELD CREATION: As Karlie's wings are good for little else before gliding in her normal size, she can manipulate them to act as a force-field to protect not only herself but any allies in her immediate vicinity. These hardlight wings are capable of taking severe abuse and may even be able to withstand a few consecutive blows from a Kryptonian before shattering. In the event the shield is shattered, the suit will need time to recharge before it can produce another shield or wings.

W E A K N E S S ( E S ) :
SUIT DEPENDENCY: Karlie's greatest weakness is a dependency on the abilities of her suit and without it can come across as a lost or even useless to the others. While she would still have her metahuman abilities, Karlie constantly underestimates them due to not being quite as flashy as the other heroes.

OVER CONFIDENCE: As Karlie has a technologically advanced super suit, she can come across as over confident, rushing into battle unprepared and often not listening to the advice of others. With her abilities to both shrink and fly, Karlie often gets the idea in her head that's she's impossible to hit and believes herself to be invincible for that reason.

ENERGY LIMITS: Karlie is limited on energy in two ways. One her suit can only recharge so quickly and as such both her flight time and the abuse her forcefield can take is limited. The suit is powered both by Karlie's bio-electricity and solar energy although it does have a reserve power source in the event that the team is forced to fight in a place the sun can not reach. Karlie's bio-electricity is a fairly constant and consistent power source although it also is used to fuel her attacks and furthermore is directly connected to her health. If Karlie starts losing a fight, her energy levels will begin to drop and will drastically do so if she's severely injured or rendered unconscious.

MORTALITY: When Karlie's metahuman abilities are not in use she has the same durability, strength and otherwise human attributes as every other Tom, Dick and Harry (wel maybe not that Dick) on the planet. As such, if she's caught off guard or out of costume, Karlie is rather easy to send into early retirement if not kill.

A P P E A R A N C E :

B R I E F B I O :
Born in New Carthage, growing up within New York, Karlie was surrounded by average people everyday. It was because of this that the young girl realized from a young age she was anything but normal. Discovering her metahuman abilities fairly young, Karlie kept the secret to herself until one day she used her abilities to seek revenge on a bully who had tormented a friend. Realizing that Karlie had been the one to stand up for her, Karlie's friend, a girl by the name of Brice Palmer, invited Karlie over and the two became close inventually becoming best friends. As best friends do, Karlie showed Brice her abilities and although sworn to secrecy, Brice did what often young people do and told Karlie's secret in front of both her parents and her uncle Raymond. While Sydney Palmer and his wife brushed off Karlie's abilities as the workings of Brice's imagination, Raymond took his niece seriously and reached out to the girls.

Venturing to the lab of Dr. Raymond Palmer, Karlie demonstrated her abilities. While neither girl knew they stood in the presence of the Atom. Raymond went to work, designing a simple suit for Karlie to use which would play off of her abilities. The story of Karlie's budding friendship with Brice was all Ray needed to here to convince him that Karlie would use the suit responsibly and while there was some initial hiccups including Karlie crashing more than once as she learned how to use the wings to fly. Karlie would even go so far as to impress the Leaguer, Vixen as the two had an impromptu team up leading to Karlie's admittance into the Young Justice Initiative.

N O T E S :
After winning an invitation to the New York Fashion Show, Karlie enthusiastically attended the show featuring world renowed super model, Mari McCabe. While attending the show, the dreaded Kite-Man attacked having snuck several specialized kites into the show in the guise of dresses. When the models started to fly away, Karlie jumped into action, scrambling for her suit. Much to her surprise, the superheroine Vixen was also on the scene and the two joined forces. Appreciating the team up, Vixen put Stinger forth for membership to the new Young Justice initiative.

S A M P L E P O S T :
The lights, sounds and even smells of New York City overwhelmed Karlie's senses as she looked up at the convention center in front of it. Handing her tickets to the attendent, Karlie was admitted to the show as she walked inside, shifting the bag on her shoulder that contained the costume from Mr. Palmer. Finding her seat, Karlie sat down, pulling her phone out as she updated her Twitter in anticipation of the show. Firing a message to Brice, Karlie held the phone up as the screen flashed for yet another perfect selfie to add to her Instagram. A vibration let her know that not only had Brice received her message but also replied as a Snapchat of her pouting face filled the screen of the phone. A slight giggle escaped her lips as she put down the phone, the familiar sound of Taylor Swift's voice filling the room as the show began.

Models began to walk down the catwalk as Karlie's eyes went wide at the new and almost exotic designs. Mari McCabe walked down the middle, show how outshining either of the gorgeous models on either side of her. No matter how soft her skin looked, her eyes were still fierce, like an animal was inside her waiting to get out. Exiting the catwalk, the trio was replaced by another set of models. Unlike the last three, these three wore long gowns, almost bordering on sail like.

"Those are ugly." Karlie muttered to no one in particular with a small laugh as murmurs of agreement came from either side of her. Suddenly, the dresses flailed out as the models screamed in surprise. Going rigid, the dresses embodied a sail as they began to lift the models into the air, the ceiling of the auditorium suddenly opening as the silhouette of a man on a kite waiting on the edge.

"Fear not my pretties, for today you win the chance at being the bride of the dread Kite-Man!" The villain cackled with glee as Karlie made a fist.

"Not today." She said in a hushed tone, grabbing her bag and vaulting out of her chair among the shocked audience. Rushing for the nearest bathroom, Karlie didn't even bother to ensure it was the woman's as she rushed through the door, her shirt already over her face as she suddenly came to a halt at the sound of a deep cough. The collar of her shirt came up over her eyes as she found herself looking up at a male. The urinals on the wall only further confirmed her worst fear that this was the men's bathroom.

"Please honey, they're only boobs. Ain't no one in here interested in them." Came the reply of the man with an obvious lisp. Karlie couldn't help but roll her eyes as obvious relief filled her. She thanked her lucky stars that Kite-Man had decided to attack a fashion show instead of a monster truck rally.

"S'cuse me." Karlie said sheepishly as she ducked into a stall. Dropping her pants, the girl pulled the suit out of her backpack as she struggled to fit into the tighter armor. At this rate, Kite-Man and his 'brides' would be gone before she even had her butt covered.

"Knew I shouldn't have had pizza last night." The girl cursed as she pulled the goggles over her head. Shrinking, she popped the wings out of the back of the suit and flew out of the bathroom, passing through the door grate and back towards the auditorium.

Name - Julien Touré
Alias - Gargouille - Gargoyle
Age - 19
Sponsor - Nightwing
Personality - Cocky, confident, naive
Experience - One year on his own, a few months trained by Nightwing
Powers - Julien possesses one of the greatest minds of his generation. He is proficient in most academic fields, ranging from engineering, mathematics, linguistics and beyond. He mostly uses this aptitude to create and test gadgets for himself though, even if his paltry budget keeps this hobby relatively basic. He currently has four main gadgets. The first being the bullet proof threading he lines his costume with, the second being his stun batons, the third being his grappling hook and the final being a pistol equipped with concussive, taser and lethal rounds. Furthermore, Julien's training with Nightwing has lead to his physique and fighting ability becoming a huge amount better. Of course, he is nowhere near the level of Nightwing, but he is still much better than the common thug.
Weaknesses - Julien is still just a normal human. His suit protects him from small gunfire and knives but not much else.
Appearance - Julien's bright blonde hair and piercing blue eyes often clash with his usual attire of dark blues or blacks. He stands at a rather short 5 foot 10 and has a skinny physique with slight muscle forming on his arms. His 'hero' uniform is rather simple. The only thing that differentiates it from his normal attire is the sleeveless black denim jacket adorned with his home countries Tricolore. Furthermore, a sleeveless hoodie and a bandana covering his mouth are used to conceal his identity.
BRIEF Bio - Born in Marseille, France, Julien's life was relatively normal for the most part. He had no tragic past to speak of and he was just about average at most things. In fact, the only relatively strange thing in his life was his father's involvement with the GIGN, something which would fuel Julien into crime fighting at a later age. That is until he discovered his talent with maths. Proclaimed a prodigy, Julien and his family were moved out to Paris on a scholarship to one of the most prestigious schools in the country. Julien never truly felt like he fit in with the people at his school though. He constantly felt like they looked down upon him for not having rich or famous parents. He began to retreat into himself, surrounding himself with media rather than people. This was when he became a fanboy of sorts. He idolized Batman and his cohorts, studying and trying his best to imitate them as much as possible.

It was in this endeavor that he discovered his calling. He began creating and testing new gadgets along with trying to imitate the bat family's own gadgets. His first stint resulted in a rather accurate recreation of the escrima sticks, although they were nowhere near as long and could not be attached to form a larger pole weapon.

His first real stint as a hero came at the age of 18. He began patrolling the streets of Paris, working as a pizza boy by day and a vigilante by night. He actually began doing some good, earning the reputation as 'La Gargouille' among the people of Paris and becoming sort of a cult hero.

His dream became a reality after about a year of crime fighting when he was contacted by Nightwing to help stop a former Gotham villain from wreaking havoc on Paris. After the villain was taken care of, Julien was offered the chance to train with Nightwing who had only recently become a part of the Justice League before being sponsored for a new team being formed. Julien, of course, accepted.
Notes -
Sample post -
Julien sat perched upon a fire escape, fiddling about with a small radio he'd tooled to tune in to police frequencies. It was an unusually quiet night, not even a noise disturbance was breaking radio silence. He stood up, pacing the metal handrail in some sort of absurd balancing act.

Just then crackled voices began frantically informing anyone who was listening of a hostage situation taking place just a block or two away from Julien's position. A small grin grew on his face as he leapt from the fire escape onto the roof of a nearby building and took off into a sprint towards his destination.

It was only a few minutes before he arrived. A small crowd had gathered, mostly made up of police but a few civilians here or there also littered the mass. He retrieved a small pair of binoculars from his jacket pocket before scanning the room with the hostages as best he could, making up an image of said room in his head as he did.

He fired his grappling hook to the floor below, swung in through the window and began sneaking his way upstairs. He stopped at the top of the stairs, peering underneath the door at the criminals feet before authoritatively calling orders to them.
"I'm giving you one chance here fellas, let the hostages go or go to prison foaming at the mouth."

The confusion was palpable, various obscenities were shouted back as the criminals obviously failed to realize who they were dealing with.
"I was hoping that would be your response" Julien replied, making his way into the apartment next to them. He began silently knocking on the wall, looking for the weak point. After finding it he raised his pistol to said weak point before switching it to concussive and breathing in sharply.

A sharp jab opened up a medium sized hole in the wall as Julien leaned through and began rapidly firing the hard plastic pellets at the assailants, leaving them out for the count on the floor as Julien quickly pulled back and escaped before being accosted at the scene.

Name - Arthur McGavin

Alias - Speed Demon

Age - 17

Sponsor - Zatanna

Personality - Determined, Stoic, Cool

Experience - A year

Powers - Arthur is a master of anything with wheels or an engine. Through magic and skill he is able to deduce how most vehicles work in minutes and drive them with unrivalled skill in no more than an hour. Speed Demon also possesses the perk/curse of having a demon bonded to him which gives him access to vast reserves of magic and an annoying voice in his head. Arthur, on his own, is capable of summoning a infernal force field, firing Eldrich blasts and having any vehicle he rides befit a Knight of Hell. The demon, known as L'Iegos, has quite a few powers of his own such as his demonic armour, hellfire breath, Lance of the forsaken (an incredibly strong lance capable of being summoned in the blink of an eye), super strength, summonable fireballs and magic platforms Along with the same vehicle shaping power as Arthur.

Weaknesses - L'Iegos is very durable but iron and holy weapons will burn his skin should it come into contact and he is incapable of entering or being summoned in holy sites. Arthur has all the strengths an weaknesses that come with being human.

Appearance - Arthur is built like a lamp post; tall, skinny and strong enough to stop most things thrown his way. He has tanned skin and short raven black hair.

BRIEF Bio - Arthur was raised in your average american household with two parents that he tends to avoid talking about if he can help it. He always had a fascination with cars and dreamed of becoming a car designer when he grew up but that passion faded away when he hit his teens and actually began driving. Arthur gained a dimmer outlook on the world and began street racing for thrills and pink slips. He became so good at his trade in only a year of (legal) driving that people began hiring him to drive everything from muscles cars to motorized rickshaws in order to win bets and make money for themselves.
One fateful day while in a motorcycle race, Arthur was getting ready to cross the finish line when what could only be described as a monster came out of nowhere and knocked Arthur off of the motorcycle and sprawling onto the streets. In pursuit of the monster were three people: John Constantine, Young Zatanna Zatara and L'Iegos the demon, summoned by Constantine to help battle their foe. The fight was nearing its end and with a few words the two magic users used their combined powers to send the monster back to whence it came. It was at this time Zatanna noticed Arthur who had managed to get nearly cut on half by the wheel of the motorcycle and was losing blood fast. Zatanna panicked as she knew she couldn’t just leave the boy there but she also knew that her healing spells weren’t strong enough to save him from his fate so she opted to try something that she had heard of in a story. Like the mighty Merlin, Zatanna bound the already summoned Estargon to the boy in order to save his life much like how Merlin saved Jason Blood from death by bonding him to Etrigan. Arthur was saved but now he was forever changed but eventually Arthur got used to demon’s presence and found that he could ‘aim’ it at those who did wrong and use his curse for greater purpose. A year after his unfortunate event, Arthur was approached by Zatanna to join a new division of the Justice League called Young Justice which he reluctantly accepted.

Notes - [this can be how you met your mentor, just don't get too long winded]

A C C E L E R A T E

Name: Rufus Charlie Spectre

Alias: Accelerate

Age: 18

Sponsor: The Flash

Personality:Driven, Intelligent, Obsessive

Experience: Two years

Powers:

Kinetic Manipulation:
Unlike the Flash and his fellow speedsters Rufus is not connected to the speed force. His abilities comes from his metegene and he is able to generate, amplify and manipulate kinetic energy around and within himself. Using this energy to perform a large amount of superhuman feats.

Super Speed:
His most notable use for his kinetic manipulation is his speed. He generates and absorbs kinetic energy at all times, using it to increase the vibrations within his cells and greatly increasing the work load his cells can handle allowing him to move at super human speeds. He's able to run at speeds reaching, and exceeding Mach 4.

Super Strength:
More akin to enhanced strength. Rufus's strength is above that of regular humans as to prevent his body from breaking into small pieces while moving at super speed. It's a biproduct of the massive influx of kinetic energy in his body.

Super Reflexes, Agility and Dexterity:
When the energy hits his brain all of his senses becomes hyper alert, allowing him to follow a speeding bullet with his eyes and catch it with his teeth. His superhuman dexterity is the product of him practicing his agility while moving at super speed.

Genius Intellect: Rufus can read at approximately 60 times the speed of the quickest readers of mankind. Allowing him to take in great amounts of information in no time. Thus he's a genius ranking among the smartest young minds in the world.

Super durability: Rufus heals no where near as fast as the Flash family, but due to him constantly absorbing and generating kinetic energy he is able to mitigate a lot of physical damage to his body, allowing him to feign super durability. He's been shown to be able to handle getting hit by Superboy in the face without breaking a bone.

Energy Management: While it is completely possible for him to use his powers to overcharge objects with kinetic energy to increase their durability or even cause them to become unstable, so unstable they would explode he rarely does that as he thinks it's highly unreliable. He can even use his abilities to generate a kinetic shield – or rather, to increase his own kinetic shield onto his surroundings, allowing him to shield allies. It is also possible for him to transfer some of his kinetic energy to another person, giving them a part of his power for a limited time.

Hero training: Rufus has been trained by the Urban Shaman of Hub City, The Question. Vic Sage taught him basic martial arts, detective work and interregation techniques. His training was mostly how to make sure to always use his powers to be a thorough as possible. Recon's the most important part of any mission. Information is key.

Weaknesses:
Winding up:
Rufus needs time to achieve the full arsenal of his powers. The longer a fight goes on, the more powerful he gets. He's severely weakened at the start of a fight, due to not having had a chance to generete, absord, or steal enough kinetic energy.

Fatigue:
Due to not having a connection to the speedforce, his power reserves are highly limited. Channeling kinetic energy drains him greatly and he often has to rest after a superhero outing. Consuming upwards two hundred thousand calories a day. Him being without a connection to the speedforce means he is unable to perform a lot of the feats members of the Flash family could.

Active Powers:
Rufus has to manually activate his powers. They are not always active. He is susceptible to being surprised, attacked while sleeping, etc.

Personality Traits:
Rufus is a smartass, superiority complex and convinced he does not really need a team. He believes himself smart and strong enough to not have to rely on others, and is as such awful at teamwork. He's quick to anger whenever someone challenges his authority or credibility and never admits to being wrong. Claiming to always hold the objective viewpoint, at times being a massive hypocrite.

Appearance:

His tunic was gifted to him by Jay Garrick, the only memeber of the Flash family Rufus can kind of stand. It's resistant to friction, and as such is one of the few articles of clothing Rufus can don while in costume. His hat is a cheap 20 dollar trucker hat he spray painted an A on, one of many identical ones he owns as he goes through quite a lot of them.

His goggles were a gift from his sponsor, they're a high tech piece of equipment. Armed with a Heads Up Display, GPS, Speedometer and Smart functionalities, making it possible to connect it to Rufus phone or communicator.

BRIEF Bio:
Born in Hub City. His father a blue collar worker, his mother died when Rufus was but a child. He didn't have an easy childhood, his father being a single parent and not particularly wealthy. Rufus turned to petty crime, joining a gang at 16 to help provide for himself and his father. He was caught by the faceless detective, given a thrashing by The Question, and as Question was gonna cuff him and haul him off to the cops, his powers showed for the first time, and he ran. Faster than he ever had before.

With his newfound powers, he got a new lease on life. He left his ways of petty crime behind. Using his new abilities to finish top of his class in high school a year too early, and getting accepted into the finest colleges while working as a super fast hero on the side. While using his powers, he attracted the attention of The Question, once more and become his student, learning the ways of crime fighting from the Big City Shaman.
Notes:
Jay Garrick, the aging Flash tried to recruit Rufus, but the young man's dislike of the Flash family meant he would not be joining their merry men of speedsters. Question taught him all he could, but at the end of the day, Vic's just a man, nothing more and nothing less. He could not teach him about speed or the physics behind his powers, and once the Hub City Speedster made a big enough name for himself, The Flash, Barry Allen, got in contact with him, trying to put himself in the young man's good graces.

Rufus begrudingly follows Flash's directive from time to time, they're far from student and teacher, or partners, and even farther from being friends. But Rufus does recognize that there are certain things The Scarlet Speedster can help him with, and if it comes at the price of living in symbiosis with the crimson comet, he will have to bite the bullet.

SAMPLE POST:
The car bumped on the dirt road, a pot hole had been the culprit. The truck kept going without much of a hitch. The driver's head turned behind them as the sirens were heard behind them. A sports car blew past them followed by four police cruises. The driver looked at the passenger and scoffed. "You gonna catch that?" He asked. The man's name was Harvey, and next to him was his son, Rufus.

Rufus nodded. "I probably should, shouldn't I?" he looked at his dad whom pulled the car over. "You have a disguise?" And Rufus shook his head.
"Neh. I would only need that if they actually could get a look at me." His dad smiled
"Take this." He said, handing Rufus the yellow trucker hat and the black shades. Rufus took them and looked back at his dad.
"Cheers pops." He said, putting on the hat and the shades, the turned the cap around on his head a bang of his hair poking out of the cap as he took off a cloud of dust being left behind him.

"Damn that kid's fast." Harvey said to himself, scoffing.
Following the sound of the sirens Rufus soon caught up to the cops, the three minute run had given him enough juice to easily outrun the sports car. The black and yellow streak his clothes left as he sped by the police cruises letting them know that their job was finished. Speeding up next to the driver's window, Rufus sent his fist through the window, knocking the driver unconscious. He unlocked the door and opened it, getting in he pushed the knocked out driver to the passenger seat and slowed the car down to a skidding halt. As soon as the car had stopped he vanished in a blur again, not before leaving a burning A in the hood of the car with his hand.

BRIEF Bio
Since he was born so long ago, Herakles life has gone in cycles. The cycle goes crime, punishment, then redemption. That’s how it’s always been. That’s how it always will be. Crime, punishment, redemption. He is as much victim of this cycle as anyone else. Perhaps this, more than any other reason, is why Queen Hippolyta forgave the demi-god for his past wrongdoings when her daughter Diana found him supporting their island of Themyscira, penance for his offences against her people. Whatever the reason for her forgiving him, the two eventually fell into an ill-fated and ill-advised relationship. It wasn’t to last though, and it wasn’t before long before the God of Strenth left the Queen of the Amazons, in search of adventures new.

Little did he know that Herakles had left Hippolyta with a gift to remember him by: a daughter. The first child born on Paradise Isle since Diana herself. Many of the Amazonians who had yet to forgive Herakles were incensed at this turn of events, even if the father had no inkling as to the child’s existence. They insisted that she be exiled from the island. However Hippolyta overruled the dissidents, and declared that her second daughter, who she named Nike, would indeed live upon Paradise Island as one of the Amazonians. Yes, there were grumblers, but most were wise enough to keep their grumblings out of earshot of the Queen.

For the next seventeen years Nike was raised by not just one mother, but a whole island of them. Nearly all of Themyscira’s inhabitants loved her, and were more than happy to work together in raising the Amazons youngest daughter. Philosophy, science, arts, war, she was trained in it all, though truth be told it was the martial disciplines that interested her the most, with many noting that was a trait clearly inherited from her father. Whatever the reason, Nike excelled at combat, and longed for the day that she could swap training swords for true steel, though she imagined that day would still be years away.

So imagine her surprise when her sister and mother approached her one day, and asked her to travel with Diana to man’s world, to help her in her fight against crime and injustice, to join her in her crusade for peace. At first Nike was hesitant, wishing to remain on the Paradise Isle with the other Amazons, but eventually Diana and Hippolyta convinced her that travelling into the unknown world around them would be an adventure like no other for the young woman, and would give her many opportunities to test her mettle against foes both powerful and numerous. They appealed to her warrior’s pride, and she was quickly all too eager to leave.

For several months she served as Diana’s second, lending her any and all aid in pursuing justice, while also learning valuable lessons about being a hero from her older, more experienced sister. It wasn’t enough though, not according to Diana. Man’s world was so different from Paradise Isle, and there were so many new rules to learn, codes of conduct that she struggled to make Nike comprehend. Eventually Wonder Woman realised that as an outsider herself, she would never be able to instil all the finer points about living in Man’s World to her younger sister. To do that, one would have to had lived there their whole lives, to understand the modern world as only one born and raised there would.

That was when the League decided to instate the Young Justice programme, and Diana knew just where her younger sister could learn those lessons, and make herself some friends in the process.

Notes
  • Nike is named for Nike, the Goddess of Victory, to signify the Amazonians triumphing over their hatred of Herakles and the ancient crimes he had committed against them.
  • Nike wears Amazonian armour into battle, and wields a spear, sword, shield, and bow. Unlike Diana, none of her weapons are God-forged, though she would like some.
  • Nike sometimes wonders if there weren’t other reasons that factored into her mother and sisters hasty decision to take her from Paradise Isle. The more she thinks on it, the more she thinks that the whole thing was incredibly rushed, with very little forward planning involved.

SAMPLE POST
The swords came together with a metal clang, sparks dancing as the blades scraped together. The two warriors grunted as their bodies slammed together, and they each jostled for position.

”I still don’t understand why I must join this group of children,” Nike growled through grit teeth as she used her free hand to grab the other fighters wrist, and tried to use that to leverage her opponents blade away. “I am a more experienced fighter than any of them. All of them combined, even.”

At that moment the other fighter reversed the grip that Nike was trying to complete, and used that hold to flip Nike up and over their shoulder, slamming the young Amazonian onto the floor. Before Nike could make another move her opponent’s sword tapped against her throat.

“Not so experienced that you couldn’t use a little more training.” A face came into view above her, a familiar face. Smiling, beautiful, dark locks framing an olive tanned face. The world knew her as Wonder Woman. Nike knew her as Diana, her older sister.

“Not fair, you’ve been doing this far longer than I.” A frown worked across Nike’s features, and if she wasn’t mistaken that just made Diana smile all the wider. “Besides, all that shows is I need more training from you. Help me up?”

Diana grabbed Nike’s outstretched hand and hauled her back to her feet, before wiping non-existent dirt from her younger sister’s armour. Nike squirmed at the fussing, forcing Diana’s hands away. The older Amazon grinned again at her younger sister, before hooking her foot under Nike’s dropped weapon and flipping it over to its owner. The young warrior caught it expertly, and dropped into a fighter’s crouch, though Wonder Woman didn’t look like she wanted to go back to sparring yet. Looked more like she wanted to continue talking. Great.

“I won’t suddenly stop training you, if that’s what you’re afraid of.” Said Diana, gesturing with her sword point casually. ”But I think that you would benefit having some friends of your own age. I have the Justice League, after all.” Nike’s face screwed up. Friends? With these inhabitants of Man’s World? Thieves and criminals. That was the calibre of people who lived in these lands. And Diana wanted her to make nice with them?

“I know that face Nike. I know what you’re thinking. They’re not all like that. Our adventures make you see them at their worst. I think it’s time for you to see them at their best. This team will allow you to do so. Please, join them. For me.”

Nike groaned aloud, turning her face up to the heavens. Hera, give me strength. Diana knew that she could deny her nothing, not when she asked like that.

“That isn’t fair. Emotional blackmail is a dirty tactic.” She groaned. Diana chuckled, deep and throaty, full of life and good humour. As well it should be, though Nike, seeing as the woman was getting her way. Again.

“All things are fair in love and war little sister. Does this mean that you will go to the Team?”

“Only if you can beat me.” Responded Nike, launching into another attack, sword a blur. The clashing of steel rang out alongside the laughter of the two sisters, the outcome of the fight, and Nike’s future, already settled.

| Name(s) |
Gemini 'Gem' Trent // Siamese 'Sia' Trent

| Alias(s) |
Lock // Load

| Age |
18

| Sponsor |
Booster Gold

| Personality |
Vivacious // Grounded // Loyal

| Experience |
Two (and a half) Weeks

| Power(s) |
LOCK | Possesses a low-functioning form of technopathy that allows her to take rudimentary resources from her surroundings and use them to intuitively construct weapons, explosives and firearms almost without second thought.

LOAD | Possesses tandem-functioning forms of energy manipulation and technopathy that allows her to instill 'power' into any tool or weapon she is in contact with, and upgrade it to perform its intended function better, at a higher level, or more efficiently.

Clearly, the sister's abilities perform best when used together; Lock creating crude and cheap weaponry quickly from whatever she can find, and then handing it off to Load so that it can become a true battlefield terror.

| Weaknesses |
LOCK | Builds require resources, and without materials, she cannot build anything. Additionally, poor quality materials will create poor quality weaponry. The more complex a weapon, the more detailed resources Gem needs, and her builds do not instill her with innate knowledge on a weapon's proper usage.

Finally, Gem's power does not come with an 'off' switch. While this is useful out in the field, constantly seeing resources and how to use them, in her day-to-day it can be overwhelming and mind-flooding.

LOAD | Upgrades require energy and time, and progress slowly at first. Upgrades are lost if Sia loses contact, and she must focus carefully if she wishes to 'direct' an upgrade down a specific path, and she must intentionally and consciously begin an upgrade process. Additionally, unless Sia directs an upgrade down autonomous function, her upgrades do not instill knowledge on how best to use the new-and-improved object.

| Appearance |
Gem and Sia are twins, and while not identical, they are similar; both have stark blonde hair, with sharp features and lean bodies. Gem's hair is often worn in a wild, thrown-back quiff, the sides shaved haphazardly, while Sia usually tilts more towards allowing her long, straight hair to flow freely, tied up into a tail in time of concentration. Both dress in avant-garde nature, more often because of what little clothing is available to them, rather than an eccentric fashion taste.

| Bio |
Orphaned from 13, Gem and Sia have come to lean on each other as their only reliable source of comfort, compassion, and actually giving-a-shit about their wellbeing. Shuffled through the boarding school system for a few years, their powers often getting them trouble and transfers in that order, the twins eventually abandoned government-subsidized 'care', and found themselves surviving on the street, using their abilities to the best they were capable of to help their situation.

Scrounging and odd-jobs soon turned into accidental heroism after Gem, in the heat of an episode, constructed a crude crossbow and pinned a would-be mugger to the wall behind him. Discovered shortly after by Booster Gold, who was looking for the would-be vigilantes in hopes they were indeed 'vigilantes' and not villains-to-be, they were admired by Booster for their similarly rough upbringing, innovative technopathy-based powers, and general good-hearted nature that led them to defending the common citizen in the first place.

Still looking for a ward to sponsor, Booster introduced Lock & Load to the rest of the Justice League, and quelled claims about their inexperience and young age with claims that he had fore-knowledge from the future of their impact upon the world-at-large. While such claims were doubted, the League could not deny their plausibility, nor the twin's own suitability for the candidacy. They were cautiously accepted, and have been working hard to earn their place ever since.

It was clanking that awoke Sia. Clanking and muttered groans of frustration and more clanking and- Sia rolled over, lifting an arm to check her clock, red LED's glowing harsh. 8:13. Gem had had worse episodes. Sia strained her neck to check the corner of the room where Gem's scrap heap resided. It was less of a heap, now, more of a...mound? Pile? The words still seemed too big. Whatever, it was smaller than it had been when they'd gone to bed. Or at least, when Sia had gone to bed.
"Gem?" Sia said gently, sitting up in bed, carefully prodding her sister. It was important not to startle her in an episode. Who knew what she'd constructed. "What've you been building?"

Gem dropped the scrap that was in her hands and hovered a hand over a pile of odd, near-spherical objects that lay beside her. She picked one up and cradled it in both hands, standing and turning around - Sia could see her eyes were bloodshot, hair greasy and pulled back. Oil marked her face, though Sia couldn't see any cans or containers in the room. How did she always manage that?
"Bombs."
Oh. Good.
"At first explosive!"
Naturally.
"Just plain bada-boom, y'know, bit of gunpowder? But then I saw these," Gem threw her arm behind her and scooped up some metal shavings, "and I thought, what about a dispersal system? Like, a scatter-bomb." Sia nodded along, ignoring her need for coffee. It was best to let Gem talk. "And that got me thinking about dispersal systems in general! SO many different things you can put in a bomb, Si, it's crazy! This one's just the boom, but you've got EMP's, sonics, heat. You just put this there and then that goes around here and then you press this-"

Sia leaped frantically from her bed and nearly tackled Gem in sweeping the bomb from her hands, then fled to the window, flinging it open and tossing the small metal bomb out into the open air beyond. It clicked mid-flight and Sia pushed herself flat to the ground. There was a boom and a rumble and Sia got up, peeking out of the window. There was smoke, and a small piece of metal was vibrating in the wall next to their window, but through the lingering black plume Sia could see small bits of coloured paper fluttering gently in the breeze, starting their fall to the ground.

"Oh, that one was confetti. A celebration-bomb!" Gem said from behind her, cheerful and spacey.
"What were you celebrating?" Sia asked, exerting calm upon herself, turning around to face Gem.
"Well that's for whoever throws it to decide."
Sia tried to respond, but the tannoy crackled to life, and whatever she was about to say was cut off by the icy tones of their school's icy headmistress.
"Gemini and Siamese. Attend breakfast. And then my office."

Sia groaned, rooting through her drawers to find suitable clothing. Gem just grinned.
"Excellent." She said. "I'm starving."
