Sounds about the norm I'd say actually >3> And I had a feeling that was how the coins were meant to work... although I'm curious, could the gold coin be preserved to 'invest' later on? >3> and if the initial transformation involved 'turning monster' would they still have the coins to work with? I saw a thing saying that monsters didn't get coins, although it was less clear given that the coins are given 'before' they become a monster or not.

The description for the coins stated that they wouldn't be of much use outside the character creation, so it's recommended you use them all.
There's separate rules for becoming a monster girl in the Patron link.

Edit: For clarification, to become a monster girl, you first must either get the Patron benefit Magical Overload or use a Black Coin and ask for a lot of power. Coins don't affect it, although monster girl allies get less no coins if you roll the Allies perk.

I know about those rules XD I was just asking about the money, given this little snippet under the perks section that- oh wait... that's pertaining to 'allies', silly me!

And I thought it was stated they would have less effect on strengthening 'you' after the transformation was completed, but they could be considered currency else-where, according to what I read in the info anyway. I was curious if it was an option to save the one gold coin it gives you for use in other things. I don't even know if I 'would', i'm just curious about the option ;3

In theory it could be saved for later, but I'd honestly just get an additional power or weapon with that instead. You should ask the GM if it would be worth it. Yeah, best to use it now, or you'll only get a +1 to a stat with that later.

that has been confirmed by Western, as your patron will be giving out rewards for completing task for them, such as mundane cash and the magical coins. out side of Character creation the cost range is much higher, I think he mentioned 50 bronze for a single stat, but I'm not sure if the exact numbers have been stated.

The main currency of the magical world is the coins. After the initial transformation it takes more to improve, but they still work. I was thinking something like 50 bronze, 20 silver, or 1 gold to increase a stat one point.

So it really is likely much better to go ahead and spend it during creation. He might change it though, but this is what he said when I asked a few days ago.

Lol XD I know about all that >3> I was reffering to the 'investment style', using the gold coin as a 'mystical' currency bonus at the beginning that one could use potentially to gain greater profit through business, which could then be used once it has panned out into more than you'd get using it immediately when starting >3>

That's just me considering the 'out of the box' possibility that one might even be 'able' to talk business and finagle profit out of the magical world allowing them get more future income.. of course, it's entirely possible i'm simply over thinking it like a silly ass and it doesn't even matter in the first place ;3

@Ariamis I have only really watched one episode of Magica Madoka but that was a very interestin' episode and creepy in the same vain. I'll probably watch the others you've recommended later. XP

Did you watch the English Dub or Sub? Just wondering. Because I usually watch the English Dub over the subbed. Only in rare occasions I watch the subbed since it's the only thing that is out. If it has to do with a show I watched as a kid mainly.

@Landaus Five-One Favorite? Ah man, that's a tough one. I'd probably have to agree with Ariamis and say Madoka Magica, though with Gonna Be the Twintail as a particular guilty pleasure for how funny it is.

Both dub and sub work great; both have casts of pretty much A-list voice actors. I honestly recommend watching Madoka Magica, as it has redefined what magical girl anime could be (similarly to what Neon Genesis Evangelion did to mecha anime) and heavily influenced later works like Daybreak Illusion (utter garbage), Yuuki Yuuna (really good as I've mentioned), and Magical Girl Raising Project (mediocre).

And yes, Twintail is funny, especially if you recognize the Power Rangers-parodying.

I'm interested in joining this RP, but I have some questions;

I'm going with a Bloodline origin (because I love playing support and don't want to gamble on the dice for that), so I don't get any extra coins, but I couldn't find how many you start with by default.

If you don't start with any by default, then does that mean that my stats will be up to perks, weapon type, class, outfit, and age?

It's right at the botto of the Origin section. 1 Gold, 3 Silver, 4 Bronze

You start with 1 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze coins, I think. Spend coins to alter your rolls a bit, or to buff your stats.

Pretty much what @Rune_Alchemist said, but I'd like to add that you can use the coins after all the rolls are done to influence results the way you want.
