Hey there! New member, just testing the waters around here (I have a decent amount of experience from role playing in other sites though, don't worry).
In regards to a Fate-based RP, I'd be interested most likely. Though, some more information would be appreciated, such as what kind of Servants we can/can't choose, what are the restrictions on making custom Servants, is there a character submission template out yet, will there be an OOC thread with more detailed information, etc.
Sorry for the "interrogation", just want to make sure that the GM here has a solid plan for how to run the RP... oh, and knowing if enough players are gonna join this. Can't have an RP without those! :P

@Cinderella Man Alright may I ask which caster you have in mind?

@Kost Alter Alright well here's the deal you can't choose servants on the tier of Iskander, Karna, and Gilgamesh. All of them have abilities that are incredibly game changing and broken. I have chosen to limit the skill level of these servants to prevent power playing and the other servants becoming irrelevant. Nerfs can make some servants more playable and I'm careful on what I let in regardless. The top tier characters I let in are on the tier of Beowulf, and Cu Chulainn (with some nerfs to make it so that he doesn't insta-murder the enemy cast).

Custom servants must have an actual legend, or real life person exist behind them. Fairy Tales are a thing so hypothetically a prince charming could exist. They are allowed no more than two noble phantasms. There is already an OOC that existed but is now dead because well Charak vanished I'm giving them one more chance here. You can find it here

Wait I thought this involved a restarting of the IC? From the top per say, surely you can take the opening ooc post and put it in a new thread?

Okay, this sounds reasonable. And I've skimmed through the OOC of the previous RP. If it ends up being rebooted, you can count me in! I'd like to reserve a spot for an Assassin, please. :D

@Kost Alterwell depending on what characters the others pick It will be remade. In regards to assassin which one do you intend on playing? I'm asking before we start so we suddenly don't start hemorrhaging players if I reject the idea. As gm I have to make sure no one is power playing and I need active members as well.

@Cu Chulainn@1Charak2@Cinderella Man In regards to my saber who would you guys rather see? The brash, and prideful Mordred? The elegant, and strong Jeanne of Arc? The legendary turn coat Lancelot? Or perhaps Siegfried?

If you guys don't care then I'll end up going with Mordred. If you guys have preference I'd prefer Jeanne, or Mordred. Siegfried, and Lancelot are fine however they have questionable moments in which they can prove themselves to be solid characters with Lancelot's melancholy and knightly attitude, and Siegfried having to be the mute giant stick that his master will need to lug around. However they do have potential.

I would say Jeanne de Arc due to her having protective noble phantasm and a one shot suicide skill that can help in a pinch.

@1Charak2Ruler Jeanne will be different from saber jeanne. I intend to give saber jeanne more of an anti mage build centered around self protective buffs such as protection of faith, and what have you. More over like alter jeanne she will be using the blade of saint catherine as a primary weapon instead of her flag. Likewise she will loose some of her ruler enhancements such as true name discernment. Likewise her using her La Pucelle would end with Leon being without a servant so I intend to change that to some extent.

Er the problem is, is that jeanne is more known for using the flag then the sword (type moon jeanne). Unless this is an ALTER then she would likely still use the flag due to the protections and protective buffs. The flag is still capable of being used as a weapon due to the sharp point. Secondly La Pucelle could be completely absent and could just be a thing given to her to help her fulfill her role as the ruler class.

I was thinking of making a custom assassin based on Clytemnestra
Low offensive and defensive stats, an interesting backstory and personality to work with, and an actual Anti-Mind noble phantasm!
I can be fairly active, no need to worry about that.

Um your url is a bit off you forgot to close bracket the url= and also forgot to put a word between both url's brackets in order to link it to correct it, it should look like this

Clytemnestra oh whoops nevermind you fixed it

@1Charak2Jeanne will keep her flag but it will be secondary it functions more as a lance and I can't have my saber lancing people. In exchange for losing La Pucelle I'd intend on giving her mana burst flame, and a replacement noble phantasm 'Voice of God' which is basically a mix of anti-mental pollutant, military tactics, and instinct to reflect her large impact on the war, and the anti pollutant due to the fact she was basically uncorrupted martyr. The latter two receiving B, and C Rank respectively in order to keep balance though they should be higher.

However this is only if I use Jeanne if not then the others will have different sub-sets.

Here's my draft for it, though it's subject to change if need be:

It seems fine however death usually forces the noble phantasm into a sort of deactivation unless it's a curse. Likewise characters with some sort of skill like say bravery should be able to resist it.

I do have my reservations as it could end up crippling some servants however the masters, or servants in question should be able to go through some sort of luck check to resist the thing. Also the people in question would have needed to do something deplorable in life for it to even work.

I guess we can treat it as being a curse then, though I'd be okay with removing that part if the noble phantasm's effects staying even after the servant's death is deemed too powerful. On Bravery, yeah I thought so too. Basically, any skill that grants a strong constitution would theoretically make it easier to resist this noble phantasm (depending on its rank probably).

Luck check sounds fine too. And yes, it's meant to be more effective against evil people. I considered making it work against people who have commited murder, but since most heroes have killed at least once, that would've probably been too much. I think that basing this off the target's alignment would be the easiest way to go about this, imo (e.g. Chaotic Evil characters getting hurt by it the most, Lawful Good characters being able to resist it for the most part).

I'm also fine with all the above being judged in a case-by-case basis.

@Kost AlterYes I believe we should balance it on a case by case basis. In some cases it may even backfire miserably. I mean do you really want to force madness on Emperor Nero?

Also wouldn't it be almost useless on berserkers considering they're already insane?

Oh wow, I didn't even think about Berserkers, lol. That's a very good point. I guess it'd make them "more insane"? Like, Mad Enhancement usually makes them incapable of rational thought, but they still know which things they need to smash. What if the noble phantasm deteriorates their mental state even further than their ME does? Basically, it'd make them even harder for their Master to control than they already are?
