Alexander finally woke up. He was bound to a chair in an unknown location, around him multiple Apex Predator goons, watching him as their boss, Blisk himself, stood across from him, sharpening his knife. "So, you are finally awake?" Blisk said. "You know, not many dare to enter the Apex's layer, leave alone infiltrate it. Yet you somehow managed to get past my guards..." He walked towards Alexander who was still looking at the ground. "Now, I'm gonna ask you this once..." Blisk said, pointing the knife to his face. "Who send you?" Alexander slowly started to chuckle, confusing most of the goons. "Who said anyone send me..."

Alexander joined the Militia at young age. Not because he had a tragic background or anything, but because he wanted to fight for his ideals. He was quickly recognised with his potential, and soon started pilot training. He and his first titan, an old Stryder, were on its debut on the battlefield with other Militia forces when a single Apex Predator took them all down. This Pilot was none other than Blisk himself.

Alexander 'survived' the onslaught, but he wasn't the same anymore... His Stryder's AI got crushed while directly connected to Alexander's mind, almost frying his brain. He was never the same again. He got back to the Militia, but they found him 'unfit' to stay on the battlefield any longer. Alexander wasn't pleased in the slightest. He made his way out of the Militia, into Apex territory, and even into their own base, before getting captured. All acording to plan.

Now the 23 year old Alexander was face to face with Blisk, both Pilots having knifes to eachother's throats. Blisk had the knife he used to interrogate Alexander with earlier, and Alexander a knife he stole from one of the goons, which were now laying death on the floor. The only ones still alive in the interrogation room were Alexander and Blisk, who were about to cut eachothers life out of them. "Looks like you got some fighting in you after all, Kid." Blisk said. "Well, as you would put it," Alexander responded. "you kill me, you are better. I kill you..." A small clicking noise could be heard a few feet below Blisk's chin. He looked down over Alexander's stolen blade, and saw it wasn't the only thing he stole: Without him noticing, Alexander had stolen the Apex Leader's Wingman Elite, pointing it at his head from below. "... I am better." Alexander said with an almost creepy voice.

Blisk laughed. "Got to admit, Kid, you are good. But what do you want? If you just wanted me dead you would've already done it." Alexander raised an eyebrow. "Perceptive, aren't we? Remember the battle on Harmony?" He said. Blisk chuckled. "How could I forget? Killed about ten Titans with a single magazine. What, was your papi killed back then?" Alexander chuckled. "Not precisely. You see, I was one of those Militia Piloting a Titan. You almost killed me, and I didn't even scratch you. So..." He pushed the pistol a bit closer to Blisk's face, before pulling it away again, putting the safety on it, and walking backwards, away from Blisk and his knife and raising his hands into the air.

"If you can't beat them, join them!"

Blisk was awestruck, but saw the potential Alexander had. "So you want to become an Apex? You got the skill, but how do I know you won't backstab us like you did with the Militia?" Alexander's voice got more serious. "They were the ones backstabbing me. And as long as you don't do the same, you bet I stick with you." Blisk smiled. "Okay then, welcome to the Apex! What do you need?" Alexander smiled as well. "Some gear, a good Titan, and since I'm getting payed now, a decent salary." He turned around. "By the way, I presume you want this back?" He said while spinning the Wingman Elite on his finger. "You can have it. See it as a trophy, or a welcome gift." Alexander smiled devilishly. "Well then, let the fun begin..."
