Backstory: Born in the IMC controlled Angel City to struggling refugee parents. The IMC had turned Angel City into something of a capital, with the wealthy and well connected living in luxury. Outside the main city smaller settlements were fed propaganda and subjected to back breaking labor by IMC soldiers. Even with the IMC's set backs, a fleet and thousands of soldiers back by untold numbers of Spectre's backing those soldiers. As such the Militia has rarely ever come to Angel city, when it does it is only for something never to liberate the planet.
Will believed in the Militia for years, he believed that those rag tag bunch of pirates, farmers, and turncoats could save the system. That belief vanished when his parents were killed in a raid carried out by the Marauder corps.
Alone at sixteen, the boy lived under bridges and overhangs for a month doing his best to live off what he had. Until IMC troops found the vagrant, just before they hauled him away a group of half drunk idiots stepped out of the bar. These were Angel Cities finest, like lighting they had guns out and dropped each soldier without blinking or spilling a drop of moonshine. They hauled the boy up, looked him over before taking him to Barker leader of the outfit. Barker didn't care much for the sob story the kid had, ever orphan had one those what he was interested in was how much the kid wanted to get revenge and get paid.
It turned out Will was very interested he started out as a dropship pilot for the team but Barker himself oversaw his training. While most A.C.E.'s use a Stryder or Atlas class Titans, Will found his calling in Ogres more specifically Scorch.
On the ground Will has shown himself to be great at one thing, improvising. Thanks to training under a drunken and rather harsh Barker. Will's simulations were often designed to screw him over and try make sure he failed as Barker knows that in reality nothing ever goes right. However after awhile Will found his own way to deal with these issues, engineering. Learning to repair and modify weapons, gear, and enemy tech the young man discovered that a rifle is no match for an arc welder.
Now six years later, Will has been piloting for nearly a year and half now with Blaze. Having recently been given promotion to full pilot from cadet pilot, Will is eager to see what challenges await him. He owes the IMC a lot of pain, he owes Barker his life, but most of all he owes his skills to his own drive to make the system a home and city a place for all people.
