Lesley grinned, she liked to do grocery shopping since people always looked with such funny faces at them when they loaded in three carts with food and then went back for another round. She grabbed the debit card from Drake's hand and the list Vanessa and she had made from the counter and ran to the car, placing her butt in between both the boys.

Vanessa would clean up the scraps and dishes from breakfast as Tammy went for a quick morning run, human form, with Angel. Once Tammy returned, she started to help Vanessa load in the dishwasher as Vanessa quickly would clean the biggest dirt from them. ''You know.. A few times now already I've started to consider using plastic or paper plates.. This is so much work'' she said. Tammy laughed and closed the dishwasher. ''I get what you mean but I think that you would start to miss this when you do that'' the young women said. Vanessa laughed and nodded.

The scraps were put in a bowl and she placed them on the ground. Angel saw them and her tail started to wag wildly. ''Easy..'' Vanessa said with a smile, Angel waited and when Vanessa gave her a sign, she went for the bowl and started to eat the scraps. ''She listens so well to you'' Tammy said. ''Only because I am a alpha female'' Vanessa said with a wink. Lately she had been busier than ever with her job as a photographer and so Vanessa grabbed her laptop and placed it on the table and sat down. ''How far are you?'' Tammy asked. ''Almost done.. That thing you did was really awesome, thank you'' Vanessa said and Tammy smiled. ''It's the least I could do.. You took me in without even knowing who I was..'' Tammy said. ''But still.. Sending everyone you know a text with the link to my website, plus giving that awesome idea about the dog shoots.. It's amazing, thank you'' Vanessa said as she now was loading the photo's of one of the last shoots.

Tammy got up and walked out. ''I'm gonna help Ralph out'' she said and ran up to where Ralph was working hard on the house. There she grabbed a hammer and the nails which he was struggling to grab while holding up a long piece of wood that would be a part of a wall. She started to nail it down while he was keeping it up and looked at him with a smile. ''Needed help?'' she asked.

Drake had his arm around Lesley as Xaven drove their old truck into town, which took some time going through the old back roads and such "shame we have to be careful with our runs, and come on what are we suppose to do Xav?" Drake asked. "put up a sign for any that cross into our land 'oh, sorry but no wolf forms pass this line, we got a Deputy that wants to put his nose in business that doesnt concern him' i mean, i dont think it will work" Drake stroked on Lesley's shoulder. "yea, i dont see that working either, but either way, we'll do what we must, we'll be careful, stick to the trees and safety they provide and we keep from anyone that can see us, even a glance, that Deputy" Xaven shook his head. "he catches wind of anything and he'll be out there, im sure of it" pulling into the parking lot of the Grocery story, he shut the truck off after putting it in park. "alright, lets go get food for four wolves and two women that can put away bags of chips like it aint nothing" getting out fast before Lesley hit him for that comment, chuckling as he did. "he's got a point, we already knew Nessy can eat, we grew up together, but you certainly can put away some junk food" Drake said, getting out he helped Lesley out, kissing her deeply as he sat her down on her feet. "not that im complaining, i like a woman that can eat" winking.

in the Store Xaven grabbed two carts and Drake got the third one. "alright Les" Xaven said. "your in charge now, lets do this" she had the list so she was the boss in the store. Ralph measured and cut the wood, nailed it where it needed to be, before he lifted it up, the small little house was coming along nicely, though Ralph found himself in a pinch when he was holding up a piece of wood and didnt have another hand to grab the hammer when he saw Tammy come out, he grinned once she nailed it, he nodded. "i was going to say a third hand and arm, but i much rather have you beside me, helping me" he grinned. "thank you"

''It would be more of a shame if you or any one else from the pack got killed or something..'' Lesley said, she had her eyebrows slightly in a frown. ''I mean.. I get that you love to run free in wolf form.. But it's time you guys get more careful.. Not just because of that deputy.. I mean... What about hunters? I don't know if the stories about silver and such are true but I am sure that there are people out there that know about your kind of wolves and that don't mind killing you off....'' she said.

She was pretty serious until Xaven parked and made that comment.

Lesley laughed and let Xaven get away with his comment, Drake on the other hand.. When he helped her out of the truck and kissed her, she returned the kiss yet when she stood on her feet again, and he had turned around, she gave him a nice kick on his ass. ''I accept it from Xaven but from you?'' she said, she was joking since she was smiling bright. ''I btw learned to eat from Nessy'' Lesley said and smiled. She took the cart from Xaven and nodded. ''Let's use the same route we took last time.. First Breakfast, then Lunch... Then we probably need to fill up the truck.. Then Dinner and as last thing the snacks'' she said and walked with the two males towards the breakfast area. ''We need a huge pile of pop tarts.. Drake isn't the only one who night snacks them away'' she said.

A clerk saw them and noticed them right away, even before Lesley or Xaven could walk to him he gave them a nod and walked away. ''I have the feeling we are famous here'' she said with a laugh. While Drake was filling his card with the Pop tarts that stood in the shelves, Lesley send Xaven on his way for the Pancakes and Waffle mixes. Lesley herself went for the orange juice, milk, eggs and bacon.

------ At the house -----

Vanessa was working on the photo's and looked outside seeing Ralph and Tammy have a good time. ''It won't take long before those will need a house for themselves too I guess'' she thought to herself, not knowing that she actually was thinking this while the rest of the pack could hear her too. Tammy laughed at Ralph's comment and gave him a kiss, hearing Vanessa's thought and she instantly blushed bright red. ''Nessy? You are locked into our stream'' Ralph thought and Vanessa was shocked for a moment. ''Oh shit..
Sorry! I didn't mean that I wanted you guys out or something.. You know that right?'' she asked. ''We know, Don't worry'' Tammy said. Vanessa was relieved and started working on the photo's again.

Drake turned to look to Lesley as she spoke he reached and held her hand. "i didn't mean to sound like i didn't think of that babe" Xaven nodded. "your right of course Lesley, but we are careful of Hunters or any humans we smell in the woods, especially hunters, we are careful but we need to be more vigilant, your right" nudging her with his shoulder playfully. "though i still say, Drake getting shot in the ass might do him some good" Drake rolled his eyes "yea yea, I've heard that before" he smirked, holding Lesley's hand, bringing it up he kissed the back of it. "that whole silver thing is false by the way, the only thing that works on us from the stories is Wolfsbane"

once parked and Xaven watched her kick Drake ass as he playfully jumped four feet into the air from it as he looked at her. "awe, come on sexy i was just teasing" he growled wantingly, before him and Xaven both laughed when she said she learned to eat from Nessy. "that" Xaven said. "i can believe, she's always been able to put away some food, all the girls in high school hated her, cause she could eat and not gain weight" Drake nodded. "she's got the metabolism of a whole team of Olympic runners" once inside the store, Xaven nodded "same route works" Drake nodding when Pop Tarts were mentioned as he grabbed the cart of his. "lets do this thing" moving toward the Breakfast isle "no, im not though i probably do the majority" Xaven laughed, watching those that watched them, nodding to neighbors, but listening to the whispering too. "oh yea, we are famous" he was sent off for the mixes and headed that way

----At the House-----

Ralph would be grateful of Tammy's help, as they laughed and enjoyed each other's company as they continued the construction, before true enough Ralph, Tammy, Drake and Xaven heard the house comment, and Drake looked across the isle at Xaven and both of them chuckled as Ralph turned around, looking into the kitchen window, before laughing as she said oh shit.. "we know" Ralph said, smirking at Tammy

Lesley smiled and looked around. There sure where a lot people looking at them, but she didn't care. Proud as she could be, she walked around behind her cart and filled it with everything they needed. She looked at Drake with a smile and when he passed by, she slapped his ass. ''Where are you going cute-face'' she said and laughed when he looked at her with a weird face. Shopping was easy, they had a great schedule and they knew perfectly what they needed so it didn't take them long before all three cards where filled and they stood all three in line for a different cashregister. ''Last one out the store has to buy the female products!'' Lesley said and knew that both Xaven and Drake but mostly Drake would hate to be the one that had to put those things in their card.

----- At the house -----

Vanessa smiled and was happy that they didn't mind her sometimes not being able to think things for herself. Of course this wasn't as bad as when she was totally checking out Xaven when he was wearing a new jeans. She still felt a big blush run over her cheeks when she thought back to that moment, it had been so embarrassing. Tammy gave Ralph a kiss and smiled. ''It is great to be here with you'' she said and gave him the hammer and nails. She picked up the next plate of wood and placed it against the frame. ''Nail it down my dearest, Let's see if we can finish the walls all around before the others are back and it's lunch time'' Tammy said. She always helped Vanessa with preparing lunch so it would be fun to see if they actually could finish before Vanessa would ask for her help.

Xaven enjoyed shopping, and anyone that knew him knew why, cause he was currently at the free samples table. "mm, so these are those little sausage things, baked in BBQ sauce?" he questioned, having eaten about ten of them and was more then able to clear out the whole tray, but he stopped himself. "delicious" he tried the cheese samples, moving along the line. Drake shook his head at Xaven, before he jumped and growled in want as he spun to look at Lesley. "where ever you want me to go sexy" though he did look at her weird, but it wasnt long before he was stalking toward her, lust burning in his eyes. she would have to shut that down quickly, or he'd want her right in the store. once they each were at their own registers, Xaven unloading his cart, as Drake stood there, munching on a candy bar as he unloaded his own, they both looked up. "oh hell no, im not losing again" Drake said, as he began moving faster to get the cart unloaded. Xaven grinned. "you are such a little girl, scared to hold a box of Tampons?" shaking his head. "if your woman needs them, then you get them.. simple as that.. at least it is for me" Drake made a face and mimicked Xaven talking.

-----at the house----

Ralph kissed her back, he loved her. there was no question to it, and the best thing was, she knew how he felt, you couldnt hide nothing from your pack not that he wanted to hid his feelings. taking the hammer and nails he nailed up what he was holding, before he moved next to her. "oh, i dont know" pressing up against her as he nailed what she held up. "pressing all up against you, went might not get anything done" he teased, kissing on the back of her neck, having found that spot by accident, but learning it drove her wild.

"thinking about my ass in those jeans again?" Xaven asked Vanessa through the Alpha Link. "you cant get enough of my ass can you?" he teased.

Lesley looked at Drake and when she saw his eyes she shook her head and started unloading her cart at the register. She laughed when hearing Drake and Xaven bikker. ''You guys are terrible! Come one hey, don't act like a married couple and hurry'' Lesley said. She knew very well that Xaven loved this because of the free samples and also knew he would take those baked in BBQ sauce little sausages along. She didn't mind it, they just had to take enough with them for everyone.

Lesley looked at Drake and thought of what to do with his sudden wave of lust, she didn't want to end up in the store somewhere, that would be so embarrassing. He simply had to wait, she knew it would be hard for him but it was time he learned some patience! She packed the last few things out of her cart and drove to the other side. She smiled at the young female and started packing again in again. ''You've only won when everything is paid of and in the cart again guys, so I would hurry if I was you'' she said. Somehow she either won or became second, knowing most of the time exactly which register to choose.

----- At The House --------

Tammy laughed and a small growl in want escaped her mouth when Ralph kissed her neck. ''Bastard'' she whispered but what he did, she could do even better. Wearing a blouse with under it a crop-top, she took of her blouse when he was done nailing down the wood. She knew how he adored her belly and she looked at him smiling. ''Next time, you are going along with shopping'' she said teasingly and grabbed the next wooden plank, she placed it down and when walking back to the big table to grab another one, she brushed herself against him by walked sideways and slowly placed her lips behind his ear, giving a kiss and then blowing soft, warm air against his ear. Knowing how madly insane she could make him with that.

Vanessa heard Xaven's voice and blushed deep red. ''Don't scoop trough my thought you meanie! And, you know I can't get enough of all of your body.. But pssst, shall I put on that very tight black dress for you before you return'' She asked him trough Alpha link and knew how much that would tease him

Drake would look to Lesley as he unloaded his cart, and already Xaven was done and moving forward as the food and things were all rang up. "ahh, you wont win this time Xaven" Lesley usually won first, but Xaven was the second place holder. "we'll see" Xaven said, putting bags back into the cart. "and we dont bicker, we argue, like men" Xaven added, smiling at Lesley "big difference" not that there really was a difference, just fun to say. "and these things are going to make a good snack" holding up one thing of sauce, and a large package of the little mini sausages things he'd tried. "i got four packages and four things of sauce" he licked his lips. "oh, and cheese too to eat with it"

Drake knew how to control himself, but when you had a fine, sexy, beautiful woman like he did, you couldnt help yourself, you wanted her to know how sexy and beautiful she was, and to guys, pleasing your women til she forgot her own name was one of many ways to do that. "yea yea" Drake said. "We know the rule" finally he was being bagged up as Xaven stood there, pulling bags off once full, putting them in the cart, as was Drake. the doors opened and the Sheriff walked in, his Deputy behind him. "i swear sir, something is going on up there" the Deputy said. "no, there isnt" the Sheriff said. "so what if a group of women are living with a group of guys, probably all together or something.. let it go Deputy, you just moved here" Xaven and Drake froze and stood straighter when they caught that conversation "Xaven, this new Deputy is getting on my nerves, and now he's talking to the sheriff about us, we dont need that kind of exposure" Xaven nodded his head as he and Drake spoke to each other mentally. "i know, but i think i might have an idea, something for the ladies to do that will take the heat off us"

---At the House---

Ralph would chuckle. "im not a bastard, but i'll take that name as a comment for this one" he teased as he went to get the next piece to be nailed, when he watched her remove the blouse and he saw what she had on under it, he growled in want. "oh, now your sooo not playing fair" shaking his head, as he tried to ignore it, but damned if he could as she grabbed the piece of wood, and brushed all up against him, before she kissed on him, like him, she knew all of his spots. "mm, tease" before he'd and Tammy would hear Xaven and Drake's conversation. "that Deputy is talking to the Sheriff about us" Ralph asked through the link. "what the hell is his problem?" calming down when Xaven said he had an idea, but it required the ladies. "what are you planning?" Ralph asked. "we'll talk about it when we return" Xaven said

Xaven smiled to himself, as through their link he could feel Nessie getting red "sorry darling" he wasnt really, but paid to say it. "and ohh" when she mentioned that outfit. "yes, wear that for me, i do like peeling you out of it"

Lesley looked up when Xaven and Drake where bickering and laughed about what Xaven said. ''Sometimes I wonder if you two not secretly are married or something.. Now hurry, it's almost eleven o'clock my dear ladies.. We know that Vanessa has to start with lunch by max. Eleven-Thirty'' she said with a grin. She just put the last bag in her cart and started walking towards the door.

There she almost bumped into the Sheriff and his Deputy. ''I am really sorry Sheriff, I hope I didn't hit you'' she said and looked at the Deputy. ''Good morning Sir'' she said and nodded, then walked on toward the jeep. Yet she did hear what the Deputy said and looked behind her at Xaven and Drake but knew the look in their eyes, they were talking without talking. She continued to go towards the jeep, she would probably hear it at home.

------ At Home --------

Tammy laughed but was serious when she heard Xaven and Drake. ''We can fill in Lesley later... Tell us'' she said, she didn't like to wait at all and was pretty impatient. Vanessa had also listened along and said: ''No, we wait Tammy.. I know that you wanna be able to start right away and that is great but Lesley must not start to feel left out. And since we don't completely know how the whole connection works, we don't know if she will ever be able to link in on us.. Since normally wolves only fall for wolves'' She said and chuckled. She liked to tease Drake a lot with it that he had fallen for a normal women and had started her connection with him. Al though she was a normal human too, it kinda was different.

Vanessa then focussed on Xaven alone so she could give him her thoughts now first. ''Nope, I am not gonna put on that dress now honey-dear. We got serious stuff to discuss when you guys get home so maybe it's better to come home now, I know that by now you guys have only the stuff for breakfast and lunch but we still got a huge lot here. And I have a bad feeling about you guys shopping when that Deputy is around to watch your every move'' she said and Xaven could feel clearly that she was kinda starting to get restless.

"nothing like that" Drake said. "just been friends since we were eight years old" Drake laughed, as Xaven paid and had his cart filled up secondly. "just means we get to annoy each other a lot more cause we've been friends for so long" hearing what time it was, they both went and hurried up, Drake being the last one to fill his cart up and get it paid as Xaven pointed at him and laughed, as they headed toward the door. the Sheriff and Deputy stopped. "no problem dear, no problem at all" he smiled, as the Deputy nodded to her. "morning" before watching as she left, followed by Drake, who glared at the Deputy til he broke his gaze from Lesley, and looked at Xaven and Drake as they walked pass with their carts, heading toward the vehicle to load it up. "we'll come back later for the second round" Xaven said to them both as he began loading things into the back with Drake. "go ahead and in the truck baby" Drake said to Lesley "we got this" kissing her.

----At Home-------

Ralph nodded. "we'll hear it on the way home, he'll tell us" Ralph said to Tammy. "come on, lets get inside and get ready to put groceries away" taking her hand, kissing the back of it, before sitting things down for later so they could head inside and once inside. "Vanessa, you've been thinking a lot on Lesley, is there anything on how to sync her into our mind thing?" he asked as he sat down at the table, pulling Tammy to his lap. "i know i dont want her to feel left out of anything, though having her root around in our thoughts might be a bad thing" he teased.

once the groceries were loaded up, Xaven was pulling out of the parking lot, and he then went explaining both outloud and mentally for those not there. "my plan is to have you ladies go to the Sheriff, mention today how the Deputy showed up and made a comment and questioned Nessie, and then you can explain how we are living together, how Lesley is with Drake, Tammy with Ralph and Nessie is with me, if we guys did it, it wouldnt hold the same weight as if you ladies went and did it, it would hold more weight"

Lesley looked at Drake frowning a little but then did as he said and took a seat behind the steering wheel. When they were done, she giggled and moved to sit in between the two males. She looked at Xaven when he started to say his plan, she frowned but then thought about their connection. I bet Vanessa will sure know a way to talk to the Sheriff'' Lesley said with a smile as they drove back to the house.

Vanessa looked at Ralph and shook her head with a giggle. ''She ain't a gossiper, so it will be perfectly save'' she said and looked at Ralph and Tammy. ''And I know.. I am breaking my head over it, I should stop probably'' she said and then look up when she heard Xaven's voice. Tammy, as always closed her eyes, it helped her concentrate more. Vanessa listened and nodded. ''Sounds good to me, I will go to the station after lunch and get to the sheriff.. We all know I will be able to speak with him even without a appointment'' Vanessa said with a little smile. Vanessa was a sweet and kind women but when she wanted something, she would get it done even if she had to take the hard way. ''Now get your asses home you three.. I need to start on lunch and I could use some extra hands.. No Drake, I am not talking about you.. You are never coming near the stove again after those burned eggs'' she thought and laughed.

Xaven nodded, but continued ."not just you Nessie, that Deputy saw the other ladies or he knows, with meeting Tam at the store" Xaven said out loud and mentally through their connection. "all of you will need to go, and just explain us living here, together cause that Deputy wont let it go, i could tell from the look in his eyes, he's not going to drop this" Xaven said, before laughing as Drake growled. "one time i burn eggs and im branded for life as an egg burner, but hey, i ate those suckers didn't i?" Xaven nodded. "with a ton of Ketchup and cheese, sure you did" he said, laughing before he slowed down through town before hitting the back roads that headed home.

meanwhile the Deputy sat at his desk, on his computer going through local files on Wolf Sightings and the areas they were in and around, but then he pulled up the police records on those he'd talked to, mainly Xaven Vendal, Drake Steel and Ralph Anderson as Known Associates, which then lead him to Vanessa Heartstrong. "something is going on here" he grumbled to himself, just after he got done reading Tamara Simon. he soon was up and in his Squad Car heading to her last known address where she lived not eight weeks ago with her boyfriend.

I more meant that I don't have to call for a appointment with the sheriff or cause trouble to get to him, My dear Vanessa thought and picked up her phone, she dialed the number of the police department and waited for someone to pick up. ''Police department White woods, what can I do for you?'' a female voice said. ''Hello, you are speaking with Miss Heartstrong.. I would like you to tell the sheriff I want a chat with him about one of his deputy's.. And that I'll come by the office this afternoon'' Vanessa said. Tamara looked at Vanessa and used her wolf hearing to hear what the lady would say, was she gonna agree? ''Miss.. This is not the way to get a appointment.. I am sorry but I'll have to check his agenda'' the lady said. Vanessa sighed. ''Just write a note, put it on his desk, he will see me, I am sure of it'' she said. The young women on the other side hesitated but then gave in and did as Vanessa said. Once she laid her phone down she said: ''Note taken, the sheriff will know that we are coming''. Tamara was a bit surprised and looked at Ralph.

Tamara's ex, Jason, sat in front of his house and looked up with a frown when he saw the police car. He saw a deputy he didn't know get out of it. ''I didn't do it this time Sir... I've been sober for seven weeks now'' he said and got up. After the whole thing went down with his former girlfriend, and her new family he had had enough of all. ''Did Tammy send a complaint after all? Or that Vanessa girl?'' he asked. ''They did tell me to not get in contact with them... And I did, I even took that Vanessa's advice and quit drinking...'' he said and he clearly was confused and probably sounded kind of crazy in the eyes of the Deputy

It didn't take long for them to pull the old truck up to the house, parking beside Nessie's jeep. Xaven sliding out of the Driver's side he went around to the back and began pulling half their groceries out, Drake not far behind him. "so, the girls go talk to the Sheriff, and then Mr. Deputy has his legs pretty much chopped out from under her" Drake said. "i like it, then if he keeps it up, we can complain that he's around far to much or something" Xaven nodded. "exactly" carrying a dozen bags in both arms into the house. "back" Ralph kissed Tams, before going out to help with the food bringing in. "oh, and Drake lost so he has to get the lady products, we just didn't them this time" Xaven said, laughing as Drake came in, grumbling "i think you two trick me some how" motioning to Lesley and Xaven, but i cant figure out how.. yet" Xaven laughed, leaning against the counter with a coke in his hand, opening the bottle he took a deep drink, drinking about half before he put the lid back on.

Pulling up outside of Tamera Simon's former place of Residence, Mr. Deputy got out and walked up, only to stop as who he was guessing was her former boyfriend just let loose a flood of information, without him having to say a word. the man was raving and sounded a little crazy. "hold on sir, no one called in anything, i just came by to ask you some questions, that's all, but if your saying you were threatened by someone, i can certainly do something about that" walking up to the porch. "was it those men that threatened you? and im curious, how just eight weeks ago, you were with Tamara Simon, and from what i can figure out, you were together a few years, and now she's living up in the woods, how'd that work?"

Lesley wanted to help by grabbing some bags but the guys were faster so she shook her head and headed inside. She saw how Drake, Xaven and Ralph where unpacking everything and smiled. ''Those guys really are fast...'' she said and listened to what Drake said. ''I would never dare to trick you, you know me'' she said, smiling innocently but then sticking her tongue out at him and grinning. ''Maybe we all should get pregnant... Then there will be no need for lady-products for several months'' Vanessa said and saw Xaven drink half a bottle of coke. ''That is not good for you sir!'' she said with a teasing tone and gave him a kiss on his cheek. Tammy laughed some. ''Pregnant? Hell no! No children for me, at least not now'' she said. Lesley shook her head. ''Me neither.. Well, if it comes then it will stay but for now until the next five years, I'll use protection'' she said. Vanessa giggles some and started to take out the pans and such to prepare lunch.

''Wait wait wait.. The guys didn't do anything, well... They helped Tamara pack, Vanessa talked with me and kept me calm... I don't know how she did it, it was weird.. I felt myself boiling with anger but somehow she kept me calm'' the male said. ''She didn't threaten me, she just said it was better for both Tammy and me to separate..'' he said. He sat down again and looked at the guy. ''You sure are curious.. But yes, just eight weeks ago Tammy and I were still together, and we have been for three years... But I was not such a good partner... She was very strong, never went to the police with anything.. But I admit that I abused my ex girlfriend..'' he said. ''But I have the feeling that you wanna find some dirt on them? Why is that?'' he suddenly asked.

Drake came in, loaded down with Groceries, Ralph behind him and Xaven bringing in the last of it "we've done this many times, we work together good" Drake said. "like a pack" Xaven teased, winking as he sat the things down he was carrying and moved to collect something to drink. "oh please" Drake said to Lesley, grabbing her in his arms. "you would dare trick me" he smirked when she stuck her tongue out at him. "uhuh, knew it" he smirked, before hearing her suggest they all get pregnant. Xaven would grin. "same could be said the same for you, your like a sweet piece of candy" sitting his coke down, Xaven grabbed her up into his arms and kissed her deeply. "its not that easy from what Marcus told me" Xaven said, holding Vanessa in his arms. "even among paired wolves" meaning Tammy and Ralph. "having children early and young rarely happens, but better safe then sorry i suppose" releasing Vanessa, Drake letting Lesley go, so him and Ralph could start putting things away, as Xaven went to help with Lunch. "i dont know about you, but tonight, i need a run" Drake said. "feels like im going to go nuts, to hell with some nosy ass deputy, we shouldn't change what we are just cause he cant keep his nose out of our business"

"so they didn't threaten you or anything, and what about Tamara? did she seem different in anyway" the Deputy asked, wanting to understand, and hearing that Vanessa was the only one that talked to him, while the men just helped her pack. "im a Cop, being curious about things i don't understand is part of the job description" nodding as he listened, hearing the guy just admit he was an abuser was, well it pissed him off, but he couldn't do not, no complaints were filed. "dirt? not at all, i just don't understand, so im going to dig til i do" sighing. "thank you for your time, sorry to bother you" turning to leave, and head back to his squad car.

Vanessa nodded and smiled a little. She did had a talk with Marcus his girlfriend about it since she was just curious about it. When Xaven released her, everyone started to move and like a good oiled machine that started up, everyone went to do their things. She collected the items she needed for Lunch and Lesley automatically started with getting everything for her famous sausages and would start on making those while Tammy took care of getting the table outside set and such. Vanessa took care of things like the pancakes she would make and looked at Xaven. ''My dear, could you start with the eggs? and then I mean those you bought from the store'' she said and winked, oh how dearly she would be willing to take him upstairs and let him have his way with her. There were more important items going on right now and she looked at Drake. ''I don't mind if you go running, but stay on the property and don't go too far.. And only when the sun is down'' she said sternly but then gave him a smile.

The former boyfriend didn't know what to think and frowned as he looked at the deputy leaving again. He walked inside and grabbed his phone, dialing Tammy's number and calling her. The moment Tammy her phone rang and she saw who it was, she walked inside and handed Vanessa the phone. Vanessa looked at it and picked up, putting him on speaker. ''Yes?'' she asked. ''Tammy? Vanessa? Sorry to disturb you.. I know I am not meant to call but.. I just had a really nosy deputy on my porch.. I didn't tell him much but he asked about Tammy's leave and such'' from the other side sounded. Vanessa sighed. ''Thank you for informing us, we will deal with it'' she said and then simply hung up. Tammy smiled and took her phone again and went on with her tasks.

a well oiled machine couldnt have worked better then they did when it came to cooking, Vanessa was the boss of the kitchen, and they all just moved according to her whim, but since she cooked the good stuff, they didnt complain, not that they would, the boys were use to being bossed around by Nessie, since they'd met her and the group had formed.

Xaven would nod. "sure can" about the eggs, before he winked back, and grinned, grabbing two, twenty four cartons of eggs out, and he began cracking them into a large mixing bowl. Drake looked up from working. "oh yea, no worries on that, i figured we'd be limited to night time runs, that doesnt bother me in the last bit" Xaven nodded. "tonight then, Tams, Ralph and Drake, you two patrol the North and Eastern edges, i'll handle the South and West, then swing around and head North" Xaven could handle just about anything on his own, he was pretty laid back, but if challenged he went all Alpha Wolf. "make sure no scents are hanging around" Xaven said as he mixed up the eggs before he sprinkled in salt, some pepper, adding a bit of hot sauce for some kick before he mixed it all together again then he went to frying up the eggs.


no on said anything about the phone call to Tammy's phone, til the boys heard who it was, thanks to speaker phone and they all stopped talking and listened, Xaven bit his lip as Ralph growled, this Deputy was starting to get on his nerves, big time. Xaven nodded, once the phone was hung up. "yea, we'll deal with it already" he said. "he's sticking his nose into business he doesnt need to, and drudging up old stuff" Xaven shook his head. "you think if we crushed his cruiser into a ball of twisted metal he's get the hint" Drake grinned. 'i'd be willing to give that a shot"

Vanessa did her thing and at the same time she listened to what everyone was saying about the situations and such. ''Drake~'' she said, her voice was sweet but when the male would look at her eyes, he saw a clear warning. ''No violence.. It's not needed'' Vanessa said and pointed to a chair. ''Please sit down or help Tammy with setting the table'' she then said with a wink and turned back to the pancake batter she was making. As always, she had three bowls with batter. One for natural, One where she added cinnamon in and the last one she put in vanilla.

She grabbed the bacon and her favorite pan before Xaven could grab that one and gave him a kiss on his cheek. She went on with her pancakes and while Tammy finished the table, Lesley baking the sausages and Xaven baking the eggs, she heard the doorbell rang. She put the fire on low and automatically Lesley took over on the pancakes. Vanessa walked towards the door, followed by a bored yet protective Drake and Ralph. She opened the door and saw the sheriff standing in front of her. ''I heard you called and wanted to come over.. I decided that talking here is easier'' he said with a smile. Vanessa was a bit surprised but smiled. ''Yes, that is true, come in'' she said and let the sheriff walk in. Together with the two guys, behind her she walked to the living room.

''Preparing lunch?'' the sheriff asked while he took of his hat and Vanessa laughed some. ''Yes, we do.. We got a big family so we need to start early with lunch if we want to eat on a proper time'' she said. ''True, well.. I think I know why I am here, but please Vanessa, tell me'' the sheriff said. ''Well Sir-'' she started but the sheriff held up his hand. ''Jack.. Your father and I were best friends, I was the first he called when you were born'' he said. Jack sat down on the couch and Vanessa sat down too. ''True, I eh.. tend to forget that'' she said and smiled a little. ''It's okay'' he said. ''Jack.. The new deputy is sniffing around.. I mean, he came here with some questions about wolves and I get that since we live in the woods, he has to let us know and ask us about it.. But he was pretty nosy and asked why we lived here with the six of us, well... eight but two are right now away'' she said. ''He is curious indeed.. I must say, that I would like to know it too, but that is because I'm curious by heart'' Jack said.

''Well.. As you know, the fate of my parents wasn't a great one... The house burned down and a lot happened. What I never knew was how wealthy they actually were, until I turned twenty-one and got a hold of everything they used to own.. This house was rebuild as a order of my aunt.. So I could live here again'' Vanessa said. She sighed and looked around. ''Xaven and I grew up together and his friends Drake and Ralph were a lot at his house so they also pretty much are like brothers too me..'' She said. ''Xaven and I are in a relationship... And well, Lesley I got to know in my college years.. She was with me here when I went here the first time'' she said. ''Xaven, Drake and Ralph dropped by right at that moment.. You can imagine it was a surprise'' Vanessa said. ''And now, Lesley, Drake, Ralph and Tamara live here too?'' Jack asked. ''Yes.. I don't like being alone and they offered me to stay for a while... Well, that while turned into permanent living here, we are happy this way. And, since there is enough ground around this house I told them that if they ever want a house for themselves, they can build one here'' Vanessa said. Jack nodded. ''You are so much like your mother.. She always cared for others and loved to help them out.. I shall look into it that my deputy will stop with this investigation of his'' he said. ''Thank you so much'' Vanessa said with a smile. Jack got up, grabbed the hat and put it back on his head. ''I'll leave you to lunch and get back to work.. Amazing job you did on the photo's of June and Jojo'' he said, talking about his own daughter and her dog. ''I might send you a mail for a project with the police dogs'' he said. Vanessa smiled and nodded. ''It would be a pleasure'' she said and walked with him to the door.

"dont crowd her to much" Xaven said mentally to Drake and Ralph "the Sheriff isnt going to do anything to her" making the boys back off, as Jack came in. "nice to see you again Sheriff" Xaven said from the kitchen. "i'd come shake your hand, but im juggling two Skillets here" he called out, and he was as he continued cooking as he listened to Vanessa discussing the Deputy and his obsession for how they lived out here. Drake and Ralph perched around her as she and the Sheriff talked, and it didnt take long for them to hear that Mr. Deputy would be told to back off. "i'd offer you a BLT sheriff for the road, but i know how your wife, being the local Doctor and all is a dangerous woman to cross so.. no bacon for you"

Once gone, Drake and Ralph came back in to help, taking over as Xaven moved to Vanessa and picked her up in his arms. "remind me to vote for him next county election" he smiled, kissing Vanessa deeply and passionately. "ewww, Alpha slobber" Drake teased, pinching Lesley's ass playfully when she walked by. "so that means we can run now" Drake asked. "we'll stay close" Xaven said. "but a run shouldnt attract any attention if we do that, and we'll be careful of anyone in the woods and keep away from people but yea, we can run" Drake sighed. "oh yea" looking relived. "its not right, keeping this fine specimen of wolf all cooped up" Xaven rolled his eyes. "fine Specimen? those self delusions of yours are getting worse" Drake smirked. "oh yea, i say wrestling match in the back yard, just make sure Ness isnt watching, i dont want her to see me making her man cry like a bitch" grinning as Xaven laughed. "the last time you tried that, you pissed yourself Drake, so i dont think Xaven is going to be the bitch, but i'll take some of that action"
