Unlike my other...Otherworlds Stories, this is not a d20 RP.

You play a god-like character, known as an Archon, created by my character in a white void. I am, of course, the Ultimate Creator, called the WorldWeaver. Your character is free to have any personality, but keep the following things in mind...

1) I will issue your powers.
2) I will issue you a specialty (god of war, earth, sky, etc.)
3) Your Archon has free will to do whatever he or she wants with their powers, though there will be consequences to those actions.
4) Your Archon is new to this reality, like a newborn baby, so there will not be a backstory.
5) There will be other rules, both IC and OOC, but first I want to see if there is enough interest.
6) We dont want anymore than a dozen Archons.

The Archons and my character will create a world and each Archon will have to collaborate with others to make things work. For example, the Archon of war should probably discuss things with the Archon of governments and leadership, or the Archon of organizations, before simply starting a war.

Also each Archon will be able to have their own world. The main world will serve as the hub between the various other dimensions and realms. So for example, if the Archon of war wants to make a world with nothing but war, he can. And no other Archon can have control of that world, unless the Archon of war allows it.

But the main goal of this RP is worldbuilding and character development, obviously. Yes, we will be creating populations of species such as human in these worlds.

We will be deciding what knowledge to give them. For example, a council will be formed to decide when to let the humans know about war and violence, and whether or not it should be done before or after they are taught how to form weapons. Things like that.

OOC will serve as "the white void," the council place where we all discuss and debate the things that we make or allow to happen in the main world, the IC section.

Interested, but I have a question. You say that you'll be issuing specialties and powers as lore dictates that your character created the PCs, but is that it? Do the players have control of other sections, such as appearance, personality, etc.?

Generally, yes. All Archons will have the ability to appear however they wish at any given time, especially to the humans. That being said, they must choose a standard form that they take when in the white void. This appearance will be their normal default appearance, and the only rule i am putting on that, is it has to be relatively realistic, in size especially. Sky-scraper-sized squid monsters wont be allowed as default appearances, however, they are free to shapeshift or cast illusions to look like them in the main world or their own created world if they want to. @Aquanthe

so due to the lack of creative activity on this site, im probably going to make the OOC thread, set the rules, and just start up the IC. usually people join after that.

My interest is peaked. Since this does seem like a god-Esq roleplay heavy on world building, is the logic of this world more mythology based or straightforward reasonable, or somewhere in the middle? (I.E. The strange stories tied within various mythologies such as greek, Egyptian, Norse, etc.)

worldbuilding to see what each player-Archon comes up with and if they can collaborate, and to see if the "perfect utopia" can be achieved through species/character development, manipulation of events, etc. since we will be starting from scratch, we will be discussing things like "should we make the world with a big-bang-evolution method, or literally create humans from dust, etc. and of course, the plausibility of doing both.

cool. i will probably make the OOC later today. after you create your character sheets, i will give you your powers (all Archons have similar basic abilities like flight, invisibility, indestructibility, etc.) and what aspect i feel would suit your character best.

dont forget, although you do not have no backstory, your character does have a personality or "soul." Since your character will be created from scratch, there should not be any overly negative emotions or personality traits such as hate or selfishness or laziness. All Archons should start with a blank slate and then any personality quirks or negative traits should develop naturally and SLOOOOOWWWLLLLYYYYY

i cannot drive this point home enough: people (or gods) dont just wake up one morning and say "Hey im gonna be evil." its a sloooow process. usually.

Also, i am fallible, so more than likely the WorldWeaver (my character) will be fallible. However, the Archons will be created to not just build the universe, but also serve the WorldWeaver. if you the player want your character to defy the WorldWeaver, you need to SLOOOWWWLLY develop your character in such a way that he either becomes overly self-centered or believes he is doing the right thing by defying his creator. in this, consider God/Lucifer. I'm sure at first Luci thought he was doing the right thing, but his pride and anger got the best of him and he turned into a monster. But even that did not happen over night. It took thousands of years.

Expect this to be a very long but slow RP. More than likely we will spend more time discussing things OOC than creating the world IC because we cannot undo what we do IC. I'm not gonna snap my fingers, destroy the world, and start anew if someone does something catastrophic.

@Infamous Empath Oh man, you should definitely read the comics, Lucifer. In the way he is portrayed there, he defies god to prove that he has a will of his own and is not just a thing in God's great plan that stretches to the end of everything.

And about the CS, besides a picture for appearance there is nothing else to it is it? Everything is either given by you or developed over time.

well, irl Luci is still in God's plan, that's why God is all-knowing and all-powerful. but that's got nothing to do with this RP.

I am considering making this my first and only Advanced RP, not because I want you to write a hundred paragraphs with multiple font colors that make my eyes bleed, but because I think it may be quite complicated IC, especially with creating and developing characters. Let me know what you think please :)

free, normal, advanced, shmickle shumckle shmoockle, same either way, a good player's level and post quality shows even in free roleplays the only difference is the size(like always about everything)
