We might have started off a bit slow, but at least we managed to get this far. It would be a shame if we suddenly delayed things even more, right? Anyway, let me introduce you to someone. He'll probably be an NPC your characters are going to see quite often.

You can call him Jin. He's pretty friendly, at least when he's not ticked off. I suppose you shouldn't take my word for it though. It'd be better if you get to know him in person. With that out of the way, let's get going with the story.

THE STORY THUS FAR

Our story takes place in the year 2020, on the 25th day of August, in Tokyo. Specifically, the largest red light district in Japan, Kabukicho. As far as you know, along with a few other individuals, you have been asked to gather at some random pub in one of the shadiest places you could have imagined.

It was a quarter passed five in the afternoon, and Jin sat waiting with a pile of small steel containers next to him. He had a table to himself at the back of the place. It was a rowdy establishment, of decent size, owned by a guy named Takeshi; a guy Jin knew him from way back. Back when he'd gotten out of prison, this pub had been Jin's first stop. He downed the remains of his whiskey and poured another. He loved the taste of whiskey and the feel as it hits your stomach. After ten years in prison, the novelty of being able to have a glass of whiskey when he wanted hadn't yet faded. He took a sip, called to check if his guests had arrived, and settled in for a long wait.

Luckily, the wait wasn't too long, only half a glass later people had started to arrive. He exchanged simple greetings as people turned up but he held off on saying what he needed to say until everyone was there. He called over Takeshi and got him to get everyone whatever the wanted while they waited. It was obvious he was happy for the extra customers as he rushed around excitedly asking people what they wanted.

Finally everyone arrived and Jin addressed them all. "Welcome, friends. I go by the name Jin, and I'm glad you all made it here. Now, I'll keep this as short as I can." He began, looking at the people whom his boss had recruited. "I know you all have different reasons for being here. For taking this opportunity we've presented you. Whatever your reasons are though, it doesn't matter to us." Jin began placing the containers on the table as he talked, "I'll be honest, we're planning to take over the country. I've asked you all to come here today to have a little meet and greet. And if all goes well, our first job'll be in a few days."

With the containers now on the table, Jin went back to holding his whiskey, sipping at it occasionally, "Look around, it would be better if you get used to these faces. If you decide to join us, the people here will be your new family." Jin paused a moment, to add a dash of dramatic flair, sipping his drink to give them time to look at each other. "We did our research and got you all presents, as promised. I know you'll all like em." He ran his fingers over the containers, making sure the names on each one were visible. "The welcome gifts are in these. Help yourselves." He added, gesturing to the containers just as Takeshi walked in with another round of drinks. He slipped him a tip before turning back to the group. The group he hoped, if things go well, he would soon call his family.

"Any questions?"
OUT OF CHARACTER

Probably just nice to know, but everyone received their invitation - the message mentioned in the opening post of the OOC - some time between 1 - 3 weeks before the start of the story. This bit of information might be significant if you feel like writing about the events prior to the meet up.

Some more details on the present situation you all are in, excluding your characters and Jin, there are just over dozen others within the room. Its fair to assume that they're all quirkless too. As of now, they're pretty much random NPCs, so feel free to make use of them in your posts if needed. What I'm expecting from these first few posts won't be too much; I'm assuming it'll be interaction posts that'll come in short intervals. Don't get me wrong though, feel free to do whatever with what I've given you guys.

If any of you just decide to open the containers, you'll find an autoinjector which is kinda like a spring-loaded syringe.

Akane woke to the sound of relaxing piano music coming from her phone alarm. She woke up with one arm stretched and the other rubbing her eye. Picking up the phone she looks at the date - August 25, 2020. On a nightstand next to her bed sat a letter one that she received about two weeks ago, hinting at a mysterious opportunity. She was curious what that opportunity might be and kept the letter, but now the day to meet has arrived. Of course, no one else around her knew about this, she kept it hidden from Akio and Ashi. If they knew she was going to a shady part of town to meet with strangers about a vague letter, they'd all have heart attacks. But Akane wanted something in her life to change, and it seemed like this meeting might be that change.

Akane got out of bed and went through her morning routine-
Wash up, get dressed, wake up Akio, wait for him to cook breakfast.
And while Akio was in the kitchen, Akane sat in the living room and couldn't help but read the mysterious letter repeatedly, analyzing every word, every punctuation.
The way it was worded, it was flattery at its finest but something about the last few words made it seem almost like a threat.
"Breakfast is reeaady!" Akio sang out, causing Akane to flinch and quickly hide the letter.
"C-coming..." Akane replied softly, but the anxiousness of the day's meeting hadn't left her. Something that her brother would take notice.
"Is something the matter sis?" Akio asked talking through chews of scrambled eggs.
Akane avoided looking him in the eyes and instead focused on finishing her breakfast,
"I just have a lot of errands to run today that's all..." Akane tried hard to avoid being obvious that it wasn't errands that she was going to do today.
Akio sighs and starts to clean up the table
"Alright, don't stress too hard okay? I have some jobs to do today so I'll be home late, Be careful sis."
Akane nods and picks up her bag to leave. The meeting wasn't until later in the day, so it wouldn't hurt to walk around the city.

Tokyo was a city of full of life. And as Akane walked around she took notice that the world of quirks was full of life as well. Everyone in some way, shape, or form exhibited the ability to have a quirk. It might not be a mutation or obvious but the way everyone carried themselves on in the world, differed from those who were quirkless. She wasn't bullied for not having a quirk, her siblings made sure of that, but Akane couldn't help but wonder what a comfortable life she would lead if she had one. So when this letter came to her, she was confused on how the person behind this letter saw any ounce of potential in her... but she was going to find out soon. The time nearly came to meet in the designated location. She hurried to the front of a shady pub and was almost immediately reluctant to go in. But the crowd that gathered outside pushed her in with them.

A man that went by the name of Jin greeted them and proceeded to vaguely explain why they were all there. Akane was still very confused, the meeting seemed too nonchalant despite the topic of what was being discussed. When containers were presented to the group Akane couldn't help but take a step back. Many questions ran through her mind, and she was sure the others were the same. She took a look at the container with her name on it. She bit her lip and opened it to reveal some sort of syringe with a fluid inside of it. It confused her greatly and caused her to look around the room in a frantic, hoping the others knew what to do. But it didn't take long for Akane to figure out that whoever put the syringe in here intended it to be injected inside of her. She looked to the man who had talked to them earlier, she swallowed the lump in her throat and raised a hand, "Um... is this safe...?" Was all she could muster up.

Two Weeks Ago - Location: Takigawa Family House

Kazuhiro pulled up on the small gate to his house. It was a relatively smaller house to everyone else's. The only reason they weren't having trouble with this house and land was because it was passed down from his mother's bloodline. It looks a little run-down now, unfortunately, but he resolved to make it look better. He opened the creaky gate and then pushed his motorcycle inside. He closed it behind him, took the plastic bag that he got from the family restaurant he was working at and then entered the house to be met by four hyper-energetic animals.

Ryo was the first one to run to the door when he opened the door but Luri and Ruri were right behind him. Kyo was the last one to arrive because he was just a small pup. "You guys interested in this? Huh?" He raised the plastic bag and Ryo started barking, and the two cats purred around his legs. "Fine, fine. We'll eat together later okay?" It was saddening that he could only get them leftovers for most of the week but they seemed alright with that. Kyo, however, had to feed on milk because he was too young.

He then heard the gate creaking and he opened the door. His smile widened upon seeing his little sister, Ena. Kazu waved at her and she energetically waved back at him. "Hi bro! Already back at home huh?" She commented before entering the house and then petting each one of the animals. She giggled as the animals licked her affectionately. "I'll cook dinner tonight right bro?"

Kazu sighed. "You can't cook for you life Ena. But yes, it is. Mom won't be back until late at night though." He then walked past her and into the kitchen and placed the plastic bag on the table. "I'm gonna leave the pets' food here."

"Okay~"

Kazu prepared to clean up the house. However, before that, he looked at his phone to see a new mail. He read the mail and his eyes glinted with interest. Well, now what was this? The date was two weeks from now and he was certainly free at that time. Even if it was just a scam, he didn't have anything to lose at this point. Maybe he'll go.

August 25, 2020 - Location: A bar at Kabukicho

Kazuhiro left the house in a rush. He wasn't late but he'd rather not risk it. Kabikuchi wasn't very far from his home. He never frequented that place - it was a place for the rich, not the poor. He stopped at the stoplight and looked at his phone. He read the whole message again. It was still suspicious as hell. At least he didn't bring that much money if it ends up being that kind of thing.

His eyes travelled upwards to notice that the light just turned green. He slipped his phone inside and pushed forward. He parked in front of the bar and locked the wheels, just in case. He'd rather not have to explain why he lost the motorcycle that he didn't even pay for. Even he had a conscience. He looked at the entrance of the bar. Ah, let's just get this over it. The quicker this goes, the better.

It was surprising to see that there was a number of teenagers among them. Then again, he should have expected it considering a lot of them must have gone through some bullying. Kazu turned to the man named Jin who had called them all out here. The bartender had made rounds for them to order but Kazu decided not to order anything. He heard these were expensive. He listened closely to what he was saying. He let everything process for now.

And then came the containers. He looked at his and opened it, a syringe with some sort of fluid inside of it. His eyes narrowed at it as he picked it up. Questions were now entertained and the first one came from a meek girl. It was a good question. It would seem that most of them were quite skeptical at the safety of this. He doubted Jin would say anything about the whole plan for world domination when he's not sure that everyone would be aboard the plan so he'd have to push that for later. The only two things that were going through his mind was if he would actually join this shady group and what kind of quirk he'll get from this injection.

AT A RANDOM BAR AT KABUCHIKO | AUGUST 25, 2010 | 5:45 PM

@GreenGoat@Polaris North@WXer@KimmiNinja
The moment the syringes came into the picture, feelings of uncertainty and doubt immediately filled the room. Jin wasn't bothered in the slightest. This wasn't that much of a surprise; it would have been strange if everyone simply believed and accepted everything he had said. Obedience was good, but they weren't looking for pawns; what they needed were strong-willed individuals who knew how to think for themselves. That's what they expected from the quirkless. Given how the world has been nowadays, just being able to survive without a quirk spoke volumes of who they were as people.

"Um... is this safe...?"

Seating comfortably and maintaining his nonchalant-like disposition, Jin took another sip of whiskey before turning towards Akane.

"I suppose everyone's wondering the same thing. Good question, Miss Akane." He leaned forward, slowly setting his drink down before continuing. "What if I said it was? Would any of you actually believe me?" Jin smirked and took quick glances at everyone within the room.

"I think its fair to assume that we gave each of you enough time to think this through. And since you all found the time to be here right now, I guess its fair to assume that you're prepared to take the needed risks. Right?"

This was good. Aside from specific details, Jin wanted them to ask as many questions as they wanted. Information was a powerful tool, and he was more than willing to share what he could to them. A curious mind was never a bad thing; at least most of the time.

The mood was a bit tense, and Jin wasn't too fond of it. Hoping to diffuse the silence, he raised his glass to everyone. "Piece of advice, you guys should calm your nerves. A bit of alcohol, goes a long way."

Having nothing else to add, Jin leaned back into his chair and just waited. Would more queries be brought up? Or was someone already prepared to take whatever those syringes contained?

Kinpachi Tomomi

"Hmm, is this it? Pretty bad place for a minor like me."

Tomomi stood there in front of the pub, flipping the invitation over and over, undecided on whether to go in or not. It was an odd thing to be sure, to be invited to this sort of place. She had thought it was a prank by some of her friends, in which case she would probably scold them halfheartedly before inviting them to go somewhere, or a trap by some of those people who just can't let a 'quirkless' do as she pleased, thus why she had a bat stuffed in her bag. Her friends would never go to these sort of place however, and those sort of bullies would never bully anyone in open view of the public. Plus, why Kabuchiko?

Taking a deep breath, she entered, to the sight of that very odd man in that visor. Was he a hero? She heard heroes often make costumes to compliment their ability, so he must have some sort of sight based quirk. For what other reason would anyone wear such a funny looking visor? There was the weirdoes of course, but that wasn't reassuring considering he seems to be the one who had sent her that invitation. To her and a handful of other people, judging from the gathering.

She didn't talk much, not even when that person mentioned they were going to conquer the country. Having taken the man at his word, she had ordered a large plate of sandwiches and a tall glass of orange juice, and thus was busy stuffing her face to speak.

"Gah~ That was amazing," she spoke loudly, leaning back on her chair sipping on her orange juice. "Compliments on whoever made that sandwich. Old man, why stop at a country? Why not the whole world?"

So all her worries were for nothing. It was obvious what it was now; the air of secrecy, the location they were in, and that man's personality. Tomomi had heard of this before, from some of the people at school. This was the thing they call roleplaying wasn't it? The premise gave it away immediately; no one would say that in real life with a straight face on, certainly not here where there were powerful heroes abound. And those live roleplaying things too. Can't hurt to participate in these sort of things every now and then. This old man was probably some eccentric rich guy with too much time on his hands. Wait, wouldn't that mean they'd get some prize at the end? Opening the container in front of her, she picked up the syringe and started twirling it on her fingers like one would a pen.

"Ooh! This looks pretty well made! So? Whats this supposed to do?"

The autoinjector prop certainly looks very real. She had no doubts the needles would retract if she even tried putting it on her skin, or that it had no needle to begin with.

Kabukicho was a familiar sight for anyone working in the seedy underworld of Tokyo. However, this rundown pub that Takeru was invited to was one he had never visited before, on account of it being outside his old gang's sphere of influence. Before, he would have been a dead man the moment he would be spotted on rival turf, either by the hands of the enemy gang's goons or by snitches from his own brothers in arms. Now, he'd still be a dead man except he wasn't scared of these consequences. After all, fate was on his side.

As he slowly opened the door, a gust of wind would permeate his stench to the immediate entrance: a mix of cheap, obnoxious cologne and fresh blood from his extra-curricular activities. He doubts that the regular patrons would even flinch from this, but to the others invited to the venue by the unknown benefactor, they might just gag. As Takeru approached the table where he needed to be, he sat at least one seat's distance away from the others. Not out of courtesy but because they all looked dreadful, vicious and downright frightening to him, except for one. When drinks were offered, Takeru decided to order two shots of saké and proceeded to down one immediately to calm himself down.

After Jin introduced himself and his intentions, containers were presented to the group with what Takeru assumed to be the promised power in the form of liquid in a syringe. While a young lady did voice legitimate concerns regarding their authenticity, Takeru already decided he would accept. "Alright, let's get this over with." He rolled his left arm sleeve, revealing a collection of tattoos which included a green dragon, a Torii, and an oni's face. Soon after, he would draw a handkerchief from his pockets and turn it into a tourniquet for his exposed arm. Once the preparation was done, he grabbed his present and proceeded to inject, though not without saying a few words.

"Somehow, this won't be the first thing that changes my life dramatically that I've gotten in a mysterious case, so I won't doubt its potency. However, I do have a question about you, Jin. How come everyone else, including your buddy Takeshi, looks like a freak to me... but you, somehow, look normal?" Takeru would say, before injecting the liquid to his arm. Immediately after, his body would start shaking and his vision would slightly blur, prompting him to down his second shot. What would come next was anyone's guess.

Akane wasn't one for drinking, she was more of a tea kind of person. Everyone else started to react to what the man said and at the presence of the syringes. But she shut them all out, all she could focus on was the thought of what could happen next. What was the harm of just walking out? Would they stop her? The man mentioned that they would be like a family, but from what she's experienced with her own, she didn't want that with these people. She had Akio and Ashi, her parents were in prison but she could go visit them every so often. But the way Jin mentioned the word family, it resonated with her. As if something inside of her yearned for it. She wanted to feel like she belonged, and not like an outcast. Sure everyone else had different reasons for being here, but in the end, they all shared something.

Akane picked up the syringe and held it in her hand. There was no going back if she injected whatever it was inside of her. There were a few others that were already on board and started the process of injections. Akane knew that she shouldn't delay much longer, it was now or never.

Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath she injects herself and time seemed to pass by slow. Many thoughts rushed through her mind as the liquid entered her body. Her past came up, along with her family. The time that they discovered that she was quirkless and the pity that filled everyone's face around her. Memories of playing the piano and painting watercolors in the park. Flashes of news broadcasts detailing what her parents had done, and when they were caught; brought in by their eldest daughter. Akio and Ashi separately vowing to take care of her, in place of mom and dad. Then when she received the letter, granting her a once in a lifetime opportunity.
All of that ran through her mind in an instant. She had to replay the same thought- remind herself, "There's no going back, there's no going back." Her eyes lids felt heavier, breathing felt sharper. All the flashbacks she was having started to take a distorted shape to them, a black filter was starting to cover them. She was forced to open her eyes when she felt something awaken inside her and a voice spoke from within.

Kazuhiro observed the others who were piping up. The female with the blue hair looked like she wasn't really taking this seriously. That or she might just be having fun. Either or she still looked like she was willing to go along with this. There was that other dude who was talking about something, but he couldn't exactly understand why. Or rather, Kazuhiro didn't know where he was coming from. But the guy injected himself with the liquid without a question. Everyone slowly started to do it as well. Even that meek girl who asked if it was safe injected herself, even with the vague answer the man gave.

Kazuhiro still wasn't convinced. He saw the others looking around, bewildered like something was happening. It would look like some of them was even drugged or something along those lines. He wasn't sure if they were getting their quirks or if they were actually being drugged and would probably be knocked out later on. No one seemed to be displaying any sort of quirk though so there was no way he can be sure about it. He then looked back at Jin, narrowing his eyes at the man with the glasses.

"How do you even plan on taking over the country with all those heroes littered around in this country?" He asked, still holding the syringe. "And do we owe you our loyalty because you gave us these? And if so, what do we get from it besides... whatever is in these?" The answer to this would determine whether or not he would inject himself. He didn't want to just suddenly be hurtled into a group he wanted nothing to do with. While he was perfectly fine with helping out in something like that, if they didn't have a solid plan, then it was a no go. He felt that if they were planning on taking over the country, they would have some sort of pay for them. Maybe he could finally afford to get his house furnished and then maybe some better food for his mother and and his sister.

AT A RANDOM BAR AT KABUCHIKO | AUGUST 25, 2010 | 6:00 PM

@GreenGoat@Polaris North@WXer@KimmiNinja
Although appearing introverted, most of those who had gathered had eccentric personalities. Soon enough, the tension and ackward silence that was building up in the room would eventually just vanish. This was simply in their nature. It might have taken a few minutes, but things were finally picking up.

"Old man, why stop at a country? Why not the whole world?"

"How do you even plan on taking over the country with all those heroes littered around in this country? And do we owe you our loyalty because you gave us these? And if so, what do we get from it besides... whatever is in these?"

Appreciating the inquisitiveness that was being showed, Jin wasted no time in addressing the questions thrown at him.

"Easy now. " Jin chuckled as he slightly raised his hands, as if trying to pacify the eagerness everyone was showing through their inquiries.

"I did mention the country, but feel free to assume that we'll be going for much more as our influence expands. Baby steps, Miss Akane. Baby steps."

Jin then turned to green-eyed young man. "I have to apologize, but given how small our numbers are, our boss prefers keeping things underwraps for now." The tone of Jin's voice along with his demeanor momentarily shifted, turning stern and serious. His visor suddenly began emitting a faint pulsating red-hued glow.

"A goal without a plan, is just a pipe dream. And what we have is definitely far from that."

Taking his time and calming his nerves, Jin sat back and enjoyed his drink before continuing; the light that came from his visor, slowly dissapated.

"An excellent question, Mr. Kazuhiro. We believe that loyalty isn't demanded, but earned. So, consider those to be nothing more but gifts. Whether or not you choose to walk out those doors is solely up to you."

Given what Jin had said, the chances of it being deemed as an unsatisfactory answer was relatively high, but he was a difficult and confusing individual; he was a pain to deal with, and he was well aware of this.

Despite how vague his answers were, Jin wanted to talk some more and share information regarding their organization, but was distracted by the few who had decided to just take the drug.

"Alright, let's get this over with."

As much as he enjoyed a good conversation, Jin had no issues with individuals who preferred action over words.

"Somehow, this won't be the first thing that changes my life dramatically that I've gotten in a mysterious case, so I won't doubt its potency. However, I do have a question about you, Jin. How come everyone else, including your buddy Takeshi, looks like a freak to me... but you, somehow, look normal?"

Leaning backwards and instead of talking, Jin just watched and enjoyed the show that was about to come. He'd seen it on several occasions, but it was always amusing, the way the body responded to the little gift they had to offer.

Reactions usually appeared mild; people would just experience minor convulsions, transiently lose consciousness, or just end up blankly staring into space. However, not everyone was as fortunate. At one corner of the room, a flickering flame had suddenly appeared. At the edge of the table, opposite to Jin, was a middle-aged man. He bent forward facing the table, and apparently growling.

With drink still in hand, Jin stood up and started to walk away. He was well aware of what was about to come, and decided to distance himself a bit from the inevitable commossion.

"You guys better prepare yourself. Things are about to get rough."

A massive fire had appeared from behind everyone, and within it was a man kneeling and screaming in pain. Another individual fell on the floor, restless and wailing in agony. His limbs started to gnarl as his muscles were tearing through his blood-red skin, causing him to increase in size.

Their calm and casual meeting immediately turned into some kind of death trap. Smoke and smoldering flames were surrounding them, and if that wasn't bad enough, they now had to deal with a rage-filled ogre of a man who had began lashing out.
OUT OF CHARACTER

The ogre is around seven feet in height, extremely muscular, and crazed in every possible way. No clear vision of the guy on fire. Sadly, he's just there screaming and keeps on producing more fire.

Though his mild convulsions had finally calmed down, Genya would soon come to realize the hellish inferno that he now found himself in. "You bastard..." he would mutter under his breath as he tried to get a hold of himself. To make matters worse, the devil himself sent a large, brutal demon to collect his innocent soul. But if the others were in danger, surely their souls were innocent as well, Genya thought. While he was indeed plagued by madness and he had just injected himself with what could have been an addling poison, there was no way this was a hallucination. The fear that could be seen in others at the bar was all too real, and different from their usual mocking grimace that he sees them with.

Though he still felt physically irritated, he would attempt to flip the table they were sitting next to, in order to make a makeshift barricade opposite to the ogre in front of them. This would obviously not hold against such a large beast but Genya had hoped the various stimuli from the fire and other patrons running about in panic would help conceal the presence of those hiding alongside him. If he could find a bottle of any liquor lying on the ground, he would not hesitate to grab it right about now as well. Liquid courage goes far in times of trouble, after all. "The gods are testing me... Do any of you intend to leave here tonight alive? Because we might just need each other to do so." Genya would pull a concealed butterfly knife from his pockets, indicating to the others that he was ready to take the ogre on when it came down to it.

"Heeeh~"

It was all she uttered as she listened to Jin's explanation as he brushed off the question of what it was supposed to do. So were they supposed to figure these things out by themselves? That man was certainly making a show of it, faking an injection so convincingly she would have thought it was real. The girl wasn't doing so well however, she was faking some sort of trance that was a little bit too overdone for Tomomi's tastes. The other man's reaction was more guarded, but still believable. Overall, it would seem this was some high end game being played right now, with the exception of both her and the girl. It would seem they were the only ones with little experience.

"You guys better prepare yourself. Things are about to get rough."

"Prepare for w-"

Almost immediately screams started behind them, as flames started to engulf the entire bar. Remembering what to do in a fire, she crouched down to avoid the smoke. What happened? It looked as if some people were losing control of their quirk. Was there a villain nearby? This was certainly no place for someone like her if so. It was kinda frustrating, but that was the simple truth of the matter. Any villain strong enough to be villains probably would make short work of someone like her.

Slipping the autoinjector into her pocket, she pulled out the bat from her bag. With a short sprint, she swung as hard as she could at a window, breaking it in a sharp cacophony. Clearing any sharp glass shards still remaining in the frame, she turned back as she climbed out it.

"Oi! Over here, we can get out from here!"

Kazuhiro saw the kind of reaction Jin gave. Irritation. That meant he took offense to that. It also meant that they did probably have a plan. That was good. He could get behind this sort of group. Though he also mentioned that they only have a small group. Was it why they were recruiting? Why they were doing all this? It would make sense. But is it really a good idea? To join a seemingly "evil" organization? Would it really benefit him in any way? Questions raced through his mind as he looked at Jin.

His hand grabbed the autoinjector. He looked at it once more, debating heavily in his mind if this was a trick or not. Figuring that he had nothing to lose at this point, he injected himself with the fluid. And then. Nothing. Then he became short of breath - as if he had just ran a marathon. He shook his head and then looked back at Jin. What the hell? He certainly wasn't feeling any special.

Then he noticed Jin slowly backing away with his drink. Then came his warning. He turned around, eyes widened as fire spread out with a man kneeling within it. Then another one was losing control - his body contorting itself to some kind of ogre. Between that and the raging fire behind them, they were in quite a pickle. Was this what really went on for those who get their quirks? Did they not get even a hint of how to control it?

He looked at the man who flipped the table as some form of barricade. "Hey genius, you're not going to defeat that thing with a butterfly knife." He then looked back at the exit to see that that the fire was spreading that way. He clicked his tongue before looking at the others. "Anyone else wants to show off their quirk and be useful?" He then looked at the girl who had broken the window. Ah. Perfect! Kazuhiro pulled up one of the guys who was simply huddling in the corner with his hands covering his head and pushed him towards the window.

He vaulted over the broken window and then stumbled outside, welcoming the fresh air. "Thanks, Miss. I owe you one." He told the blue haired girl. He then looked towards the burning bar and then commented, "Whoever that guy was knew that this was going to happen one way or another. I wonder what he was up to." He was just thinking to himself but anyone around his general vicinity would be able to hear him.

It took a moment for Akane to even comprehend the voice in her head. Without thinking she blurted out a confused
"Hello?"
But the voice didn't say anything else. But that was the least of her worries. All around her those who injected the fluid had begun to react, some far worse than others. Soon enough there was a giant ogre rampaging the bar and a fire that engulfed half the room. She looked around to see two people escaping out of a broken window and Akane wondered if she could make it out there too. But like the fire, chaos was spreading around the room. A man pulled out a knife and Akane was skeptical on how that would help.
"Oh my oh my~ That little thing would honestly fare better against the fire than that beast." The voice appeared once more, only to jeer and giggle.

Akane took a step back in astonishment that the voice was actually real, scary, loud... and kind of annoying.
But Akane didn't have time to think about it, her only options so far were to either face the ogre, the fire, or escape.
Smoke started to fill the air and there was hardly any room for breathing.
"Hey! Don't stand around, use me!" The voice cried out.
"Like... Pokemon™?" Her voice was muffled through her hand covering her mouth from the smoke.
If voices had eyes, this one was rolling hers into the next mind.
Akane then had a sharp pain in her mind, as if something was trying to break out.
"You idiot! I mean let me take control, just give me your consent or whatever." The voice had a malicious tone to it, something that scared Akane, something that couldn't be trusted.
"N-no, I don't even know you..." Akane clasps both her hands to her mouth as the smoke thickens.
The voice sighs and for a second Akane was unsure of herself.
"Listen, if I take over you can: at.any.time. take back control got it? And you'll be awake the whole time! AND everyone will thank you for saving their lives!" The voice was getting more and more persistent. Akane couldn't help but wonder if this could be the quirk that was given to her. If it was, she then wondered if there was a refund policy. Even so, it was hard to make out was her quirk actually is: the ability to drive herself insane?

The room was getting hot and the situation was turning for the worst. There was no other choice, and the voice said that Akane would have the ability to gain back control. Reluctant, Akane shook her head and moved her hands from her mouth.
"F-fine I... give you control." At that instant Akane was entirely engulfed by black fog and her vision darkened like the flashbacks she was having earlier. She was still conscious and was still able to hear and see everything that was going on but unable to move. It was like being tied down and forced to look through the lens of someone else's eyes.
Where Akane stood, it was replaced by a female ghost like figure.

"Let's get this party started!" The ghost screams out. She immediately goes over to the bar and finds a couple of bar drink dispenser guns.

She slowly levitates 3 of the drink guns, pointing them at the fire.
"Who likes water shows?" The ghost girl says as all three of the drink guns began to shoot water out.
Akane, watching all of this through the ghost girl's eyes, felt amazed.
She couldn't help but wonder who this girl is, and what she was doing trapped in Akane's mind. But that didn't matter for now, because they actually had a chance to calm the situation down. Now everyone else could focus on the ogre while the fire can slow down.
