Lich man showed up and declared war, and I had the post immediately before that hanging on Vespid/Seth.

Ok, I know it's a bit late to say it now, but things are going on a bit too fast, so, if it isn't too much, could anyone be kind enough to tell what has happened so far to ease my confusement a bit and allow me to come up with a proper reply?

sorry if these characters seem a bit op despite being "basic grunts". They're kinda... made for the kinda stuff that's happening right now.

There was a slave market, overlod thraka's character shot the auctioneer in the throat while tominas' character was brought out. A lady in a wasp mask (I'll be calling her yellow jacket) stepped forwards, the two talked a bit. rex's character showed up, started talking shit, is currently concussed with yellow jacket's hand around his throat. Two men in masks massacerred the anti-slavery terrorists in the crowd in the most gruesome ways you can imagine being done with their bare hands, and Overlord Thraka's characts got punched in the chest and detained. Tiny's character is there but hasn't done much. Basically ALL THE SHIT is going down now.

What about the lich, what his purpose in all of this and why did he suddenly show up here?

As a side note, you're also not exactly interacting with the rest of the group. If you do feel that this is too fast for you then this would actually be the optimal time to pull out as you have, frankly speaking, done nothing of importance.

The lich was letter bee showing off the big bad supposedly, but it didn't really have a reason to be there so I just kinda... introduced him to the wall

The Lich was the Big Bad, yes, and he was trying to acquire Clarimonde to turn her into the Host for one of the Old Gods.

Well, I wanted to introduce my second character in the thick of it, but I was a tad confused about the lich post, I'm working on it right now as we speak.

From what I got from the post, he's the one being held. The lich was the one sent flying into the wall.

Right okay, no I'm butthurt now. These guys seem way too strong, and I literally can do nothing. Not having any fun at all right now, because at any point I might like to make Mergoux do something, she's basically been told "Nope, this guy is superstrong and beats her up."

...that being said, this does feel a little unfair to Thraka and Rex, namely just how everything they've done has been completely invalidated immediately upon the attempt. When @Claw2k11 had to kill some random merchant, he had to make sure that it was a solid fight, and now multiple players are being hardcore auto-shutdown with "they pick you up and you can't do anything, that's all there is to it, the end." I'm not trying to be rude or cast aspersions on anybody, and I understand the grunts are supposed to be strong/made to quell this type of thing, but them not reacting at all to offensive action and just auto-polishing off everyone does seem a little unfair.

And I would have sent this as a PM, but the discussion involves quite a few people in the OC at the mo'.

Meanwhile, Clarimonde is gonna rock those manacles and pray she doesn't die :P (Not complaining, it's just a funny image.)

ADDITIONALLY I'll try to get a Clarimonde post up today, though it may be a little later. I have work, but get off in seven hours.

Considering @Tyki also 'introduced the Lich to the wall' before I informed him that said Lich was the Big Bad, I think that your concerns are valid.

Tyki, I know that it's justified that Lady Vespid's minions are strong, and I don't expect you to allow them to be auto-defeated, but can you allow the PCs' own Exceptional Skills to matter?

Summary of events that happened:

- Kaspar reveals that he is acting on behalf of the Church of Existence, then hints that The Lich and his Cult are behind the Rebellion and Iron Decree. He then tries to tell Lady Vespid off.
- Then, the Venedig Shipyard, also known as the Arsenal, is blown up, and The Lich, who is supposed to be the Main Villain and not a jobber, phases through the wall he had been embedded in, dusts himself off, then gloats.
- To add insult to injury, The Lich would then perfectly copy the spell Lady Vespid's avatar used to shoot one of Siegmund Holderlin's Mages through the wall of the building Mergoux was in, causing it to shake (as the Mage was still alive and using magic to try and get herself out) and give Mergoux an opportunity to escape.
- Then, the Lich would nullify gravity for everyone but himself, and his lesser undead spellcasters are on hand to prevent the PCs' own spellcasters from dispelling the spell.
