@Rhiannon I was planning on the only thing Griffin being good at magically would be potions since he doesn't have enough personal magic to do much besides make potions and he isn't all that interested in developing his magic like some other Eaten. Academically his aptitude with potions and the wide variety of potions he's able to make are his only saving grace as otherwise he's an academic dud. Like, Griffin isn't someone who had a childhood or anything, as a person he's just always been and has been doing his own thing for the past twenty or so years and this school is pretty new to him.
@Pathfinder That's fine, while potions do require some magic its more of a reweaving of magick that's already there than a production or expulsion of ones own magick.

Species: Entity From Another Place, 1/2 Human
The tingle that raises hair on your neck, alone at night, surrounded only by the dark gold of trees, and the unfamiliar coos of owls-- there exist places in this world where the darkness of men and magic alike pools-- places untouched by the bustle of man, the covens of witches, or the souls of anyone-- here pool spirits shunned, feelings of fear, hatred, and malaise, left to linger our plane, mingling forces left unexamined by mortal eyes, to stew, and become something else.
These ghosts mutate and grow, like the the trees around them. When darkness from beyond earth, perhaps hell-- perhaps energy even more sinister-- enters our plane, and finds it's match, something new is hatched, for... entities to inhabit, and seek out more of what created them.
Another place.
That feeling of terror you get in the woods. The feeling that something evil is behind you, that something is waiting to slip inside of you, and tear away everything you love. That feeling is real.
This Darkness given form, is a place of raw, unimaginable power, chock full of dark forces and vicious secrets. Time has no meaning, and space is fractured-- it appears, and is, anywhere and everywhere on the globe, where there is an eerie lack of life from man, and the darkness of the night lends itself to be amplified by the trees. The Entities from this place... are difficult to describe; they're as like to rip the flesh from your bone as greet you with a happy "good day." They appear as non-euclidian beings, thoughts, voices, and actual humans, or beings that resemble humans, either possessed from the plane of the living or fabricated.
Power is law, in this place-- and when influence expands, beings from earth may find themselves changed by this power, some madmen even seek it's power out, typically only to be absorbed into this hidden land of unmuffled screams and broken hearts themselves, becoming batteries of the fear and misery that the entities thrive on for survival.
When the entities leave though... or, more likely, those bastards touched by the entities find their way out... they have abilities. Typically, they have a penchant for prediction-- spoken, though, in language others may often fail to understand. They excel, oddly enough, at games of chance and sin. Those Bastards Of The Wood that enter society often become high profile gamblers as a result. Darkness is their ally much like their distant cousins, the vampire-- and under cover of night, they can expand their minds to those of animals native to their wood, allowing them to see through their eyes. They too, are harmed by the sun-- though, the burns they suffer can be avoided, through use of sunscreen and lack of prolonged direct contact, they cannot develop resistance to it, and instead of burns, they have their skin painfully peeled away by direct exposure to sunlight.
Much of their dark magicks are an unknown however-- though, it is know that their material beings are fueled not by blood, but by Garmonbozia-- this is, to them, the materialized form of suffering, pain, fear, and sorrow-- without a steady diet of these negative emotions, these entities will begin to whither and lose their grip on reality, eventually losing their physical forms and returning to their wood for slumber, or, if they are unlucky-- finding themselves turned into golden winds of omen, by the purity of the world around them.
Appearance: The first thing people tend to notice is her scar-- branching, from her destroyed ear, to much of her cheek, the scar reaches the corner of her plump, red lips, and snakes between two large, almond shaped eyes with irises of shifting jade and emerald, notably lacking in pupils, like all of her ilk. Despite the scar, a constant mixture of visible muscle and scar tissue, warning of the threat the sun poses to her, she does have a natural beauty that could shine through, if only she smiled authentically more often.
The second thing people tend to notice is her hair. Lola's mother, an 80's heroine through and through, taught her: "The bigger the hair, the closer to God." As a soulless being, created from pure spite in the shadows of the woods, Lola has very little interest in meeting God. However, she does wear her hair up, and down. The fluffy, golden lion's mane reaches her lower back, and is the only part of her appearance she puts more that a passive effort into maintaining-- if it looks unkempt, that's because she spent 3 hours trying to make it looks that way.
Lola is a slight, frail woman, with an elongated hourglass figure, and no chest to show for it. With her lithe form, she stands tall at 5' 11'' with little in the way of muscle or excess fat. Although next to unnoticeable, her shoulders are a touch broad. She stores most of her fat, like her mother, in her hips and thighs-- though this is very little, as she only weighs around 140 pounds. Her lower body is notably more muscled and toned than her upper body. Her complexion changes with the lighting, though typically, she appears as more olive toned. Like her father, she dresses darkly, preferring blacks, band T-shirts, or garments of some nightly, regal air-- complimenting this are typically black skinny jeans, and some kind of slipper. Another notable feature are her nails-- typically cracked and poorly done, she paints them in the color of her lips naturally-- blood red. She moves her hand to cover her mouth when she speaks, as aside from pale yellowish-white teeth, opening her mouth exposes complete darkness.
"Boy, thank God the Babadook is a gay icon now! A voice for people like me!" --- "I am the tallest, tiny lesbian you'll ever meet." --- "Your tears literally give me life."
Personality: Lola is different, and she knows it.
She would very much like to be a passive and quiet individual, she would like a lot of things-- though, what she is eats at her nearly constantly. She can't help her nature! The fact that she often finds herself comfortable in misery does not help-- and as such, she often finds herself at odds with what she'd like to be. Lola is aggressively sarcastic and snarky, always ready with a sharp tongued quip-- actively looking to prod and poke at the insecurities of others. She's a blast at parties. Those who become her friend find they never need fear the opinions of others-- though crossing that gap of acquaintance is Sisyphean hurdle. (Unless, of course, you happen to be a beautiful woman).
She has a very low opinion of herself, only rivaled by her misanthropically low opinion on the existence of others, and existence itself. To describe her day to day personality bluntly, she is, to others, an emotionally blank hedonist. Clearly there's more to her-- but she'd sooner move to Russia-- (her mother tells her Slavs are very hard to frighten, and the Garmonbozia there tastes like old vodka). With solitude, comes an appreciation of introspection and activities that don't require company. Lola, as a result is rather well-read, and she, at least, considers herself funny.
@Conscripts Hey man, I'm not looking to downplay Mortem, because I always appreciate a good skeleton, but I think you should revise his age some. If he's 129, there's no way he'd have been around during the Middle Ages. He'd have to be closer to 1,000 or so, to be in the thick of it.
@Conscripts A suggestion I have, is that perhaps Mortem is in fact a thousand years old, but was recently reanimated and needs to be updated on how modern society works, thus his time in the Academy.

Now he's 635 years old, assuming that the timeline is in the 21st century, so he should be at least be from the late-Middle age. And now I would have to find a way to make the lore sound logical. Edit: So he wandered in the old palace ground for hundreds of years until the offer. That sounded a bit awkward, but I wanted him to be revived just right after his death, because of the anger for those irresponsible guards, and there's no reason to revive him just to put him back in society as a scary skeleton. So please bear with me that.

Leonard is the chosen of an Elven-made sword. The sword's wish is "To protect mankind." The weapon is normally sealed inside of a ring. All Leonard has to do is hold out his hand and will for the sword to appear, and the weapon will materialize. If he lets it go, it will disappear to be called from the ring again. The ring is permanently bound to his middle finger. Killing him or severing the finger will allow it to be removed, transferring ownership to whoever defeated him. The sword is indestructible, and will thus always be as sharp as the day it was created. It can stab through a car. It also has a magical aura around it that repels energy-based attacks. So if a wizard lobs a fireball at Leon, he can bat it back at them. The sword counts as a holy symbol, and is thus effective against things like vampires and demons. When an enemy (someone who is intent on harming Leonard) is nearby, it glows with blue flame. Ownership of the ring makes Leonard stronger. It augments the strength he already has, thus putting his strength, speed, and durability on the same level as a Lycan or vampire with a similar level of physical ability. Finally, wearing the ring protects him from magic that would effect his mind and perceptions.

In-Depth Appearance: Leonard is a pretty big guy. He's tall, at 6'2, and has a broad frame. His shoulders are accentuated by the leather jacket he almost always wears. He has somewhat tan skin, with a mop of black hair that hangs just barely to the nape of his neck. He has green eyes, and strong hands. The years Leonard spent on his school's kendo team and all the fights he's gotten into show quite clearly. He's muscular, and with his thick biceps and chiseled chest, it's quite obvious he works out. Personality: Leo's a bit rough around the edges. He's not a bad person, by any means, but he's a bit quiet, and very blunt. He doesn't beat around the bush. If he sees someone being stupid, he'll tell them they're being stupid. If someone's being a douche, he'll whack them upside the head. If someone's being nice, he'll be their bro for life. He has a lot of sympathy for outcasts, so if he sees someone alone, he'll usually go hang out with them.

Appearance: Griffin is just a guy. He's a little on the shorter side, standing at 5'9, and is generally unassuming. He's built like a fighter under those wraps but prefers to not bring attention to it. His wardrobe appears to be a collection of whatever he could dig out of a thrift shop, full of flannel shirts, fuzzy sweaters, tough jeans, and steel toed kickers. The only omnipresent objects on his person are his cloth bandages, pretty high quality and comfortable, and a pair of thick, heavily tinted glasses. Occasionally you'll find him decked out in biker gear if he plans on riding for more than a couple hours and sometimes he'll have a large single strap backpack that has been enchanted to hold a lot more than it should. He definitely owns a couple of Hawaiian shirts.
Brief Personality: Griffin is a fairly simple man who prefers his life without any difficulties. He's always hounded by the emptiness the Curse places upon him but tries his best to shrug it off, some days doing it better than others. Admittedly he has a bit of a substance abuse problem but it could be far worse, sticking to pot, booze, and cigs than filling his veins with poison. In the end Griffin is all around good guy who's aura of genuine friendliness is infectious to most people while doing a tip top job of hiding the emptiness that lies beneath.

Lola Dague:"A fortress of needles. She fights with words and is a defensive construct. I wish her well, for there is obviously some sadness behind all of her protection. If only she'd get a little more help. I would be more than willing...

Ash Jens:"I am skeptical of all unnaturally attractive men; I think it a devious trap. But goodness, it is hard to disdain a man so great and full of perk. I should take a chance to try his food, too; people have been saying it's great."
