"to rid ourselves of being chased, hunted, attacked. Some of these gifted will not fight, but will assist in anyway they feel they can. they wish to watch the changing of a world" The girl said, "Sintara invited us"
Ruslan is glad that the bigger group does not make any suspicions on him for his face that is far more Russian than American. Although he is aware that some of the people may only have been hiding their questions, he respects them for the fact that at least they try not to antagonise him on first sight, unlike Dave. "Well it is changing already," he replies. "But don't get too excited. We may win in direct confrontations easily. But if dangerous organizations can influence our thoughts through education, propaganda or outright mind control, then we will be reduced to mere superweapons, just as what they intended".
Liz wondered what they had gotten themselves into now. She had a feeling things were going to go downhill fast. They were about to challenge the government. They were all going to die or get captured.
Ruslan looks at Liz, and her worried face. That face sends a message to him that whatever they do next, it is clear that it will be decisive. He then concentrates and tries carefully to move Liz's muscles one by one, hoping to make her smile no matter how unsincere it may be.
"It is clear that you think that this will be a massacre" the boy said, the girl shrugged and said "most of us are barely living as it is. This is our chance for freedom"
"Freedom is very unlikely." Roxy says entering the room. It is more likely that we will be killed or locked up."But doing something is better then doing nothing."
"I don't say this will be a massacre," Ruslan said, thinking that those words are directed at him. "What I say is that your ability to hold onto your values will be tested. You guys talk about freedom, yet we may not have the same idea on what freedom is, what 'taking our freedom back' means"
Ruslan isn't completely satisfied with their definition of freedom, which lacks 'the right to have one's beliefs respected by others', or shortly, 'freedom of thought'. Nevertheless, he still respects them. "We'll have to agree to disagree with that, I have a stricter definition than that," he said. "And can I ask you, with this many people between us, how will we move around?"
The boy and girl looked at each other, glasped hands, closed there eyes, and suddenly the new comers were gone. all of them. Sintara turned around, just as they appeared behind them.
"You prefer showing than telling, eh?" Ruslan said, laughing and letting loose his Russian accent. That kind of display of power is sure to attract a lot of attention when pulled in areas with a lot of people in it, and he is not happy about it. They cannot stay low-profile anymore.
"I would, too. Since I get along with these guys I've seen the barrier of impossibility being broken many times," Ruslan said. "Anyway, would you please introduce yourself first?"
"No need to. I just don't want to call you with unpleasant names just because I don't know your names," Ruslan said. "By the way, I'm Ruslan. Nice to meet you".
Sam had been asleep till the twins came, he was working on his rifle modifying it to where it didn't recoil or make any sound so far he got the no sound part right still he was working on the recoiling.
Pride just sat there and listened, he really wasn't a person for sitting still, "we have a very slim chance of winning against them if we go against them I've seen there inside defenses and other things even Sam would have a hard time making it through even with his speed."
