Alright, welcome, first of all. What's this about? Well here's the post from the interest check to give you an idea.

What next? Lets go over the rules rather quickly.

Yeah, most of them are self-evident, but let's just put them out there for the sake of not being a totally arbitrary and fascist GM. Oh, not having misunderstandings. That too.

Now, Character Sheets:

Right. You probably want to hit "View raw" at the top of my post and copy this from there, unless you don't want to have the lackluster formatting or want to add your own. It doesn't really matter anyways.

NOTABLE THINGS AND PLACES AND PEOPLE AND OTHER EXPOSITORY MATERIAL STARTS HERE:

Accepted Characters:
Skylar Grayson, played by WeepingLiberty
Graham Jones, played by Ninjadino

So that's what that button is for, wasn't sure so I've never hit it.
Name: Skylar Grayson
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: Sky can be a bit moody, to the point where people have actually accused her of multi-personality disorder. She tends to have two sides; the quiet and mysterious type or the loud, party type. Two things you will always see her with are a book and her journal, though the genres change based off of her mood. A self-proclaimed genius Sky thinks herself above many others and isn't afraid to show it, however, she often feels lonely and takes those feelings out on other people. She has a habit of becoming violent and will never let a grudge rest. Above anything else she hates being alone, despite always pushing others away, and bugs are a big no-no to her. Among the things she does enjoy, food tops the list. She loves to go out a try new foods but will always fall back on her favorites.

History: Sky was orphaned fairly young, at the age of 10, in an accident where an old ruin collapsed on the couple. She was taken in by a friend of the family who had gotten himself involved with less than honest people. It was with that group of bandits that she realized she had a gift and was forced to push her limits for their gain. After recovering from near death exhaustion, her 'uncle' taught her how to fight without using her gifts. While on the road she collected books where she could find them and read during all of her free time. During one bandit raid she recovered an empty journal which she kept and used to write down tunes that came to her head, thus becoming her own personal music sheet to sing from when the time called for it. She was about 17 when she left on her own to make an honest living but found her talents weren't enough to support her the way she would have liked. So she fell back into her old patterns, becoming a criminal for hire or sometimes striking out on her own to steal from the weak.

Objectives: Sky doesn't really have a goal or anything big planned. She does however wish to live comfortably like a princess in the books she's saved from libraries.
Skills/Powers: Acoustokinesis: She mostly uses it in a passive manner but will use it to attack as well as defend. Anything beyond passive measures leaves a serious physical drain, and depending on the type of attack used, may cause headaches, nose bleeds, ear bleeds, bloody tears or coughing up blood. (So cheery ain't it?) Because her power takes such a toll on her body she taught herself hand-to-hand combat and weapons training, her preferred weapon being twin curved blades. A fortunate side effect of her ability, Sky can sing and actually sound good. Beyond that Sky is skilled at fast pace reading and retains most of what she reads regardless of the subject.

Profession: Sky uses her talents to get by, singing for small crowds. It isn't nearly enough to live off of so she steals and sells out her gifts to criminals/bandits if they are willing to pay.

(It's a work in progress, I'm multitasking at the moment)

Um, with the picture... Preference on real person vs anime person? I'd assume real but found one I thought was closer to my vision when searching for something else anime related.

Name: Graham Jones
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: 187 cm/ 6ft 15⁄8in, Brunette, short hair, blue eyes. Thin with a small amount of musculature. Small scars all over his hands and forearms, a few small scars on his face. Average attire consists of a dirty blue shirt, a tattered leather jacket with several sewn on pockets bulging with metal objects, steel capped boots and purple tracksuit pants with more sewn on pockets. Occasionally wears a wide brimmed hat with something unintelligible written on it.
Personality: Considers himself above the general public other than merchants, to whom he is quite competitive with, other scavengers, who he is generally affable towards and his small number of friends who he is extremely protective of (he doesn't have many so he doesn't want to lose any). This changes when someone touches any of his "projects" without permission. Depending on who they are and what they are doing his reaction will vary from yelling to stabbing to painful electric death. This concern also translates to the ruins of the old world. Detest anyone who would use old world technology purely for their own gain.
History: When he was young he was part of a merchant group who often traveled between towns. One town they visited was built around the ruins of a building called a "MUSEM" that contained many relics of the old world. After a few months Graham left the merchant group and returned to the town to find that they had torn down the "MUSEM" for materials to build more houses and just left all the relics lying inside what was left of the building. Graham recovered what he could and purchased a house on the edge of town. He spent a few months examining the relics he had saved and then decided that their had to be more out there. Armed with a well preserved map, a months supplies of food and water and his shotgun Graham set off into the waste to find other relics.
Objectives: To find the relics of the old world and discover the reason for its collapse.
Skills/Powers: Electrokinesis but has no method of controlling its flow once it leaves his body and is only resistant to its affects (from a tingling sensation to intense pain with power). Gets around this by using it as a melee attack or jump-starting old world electronics he finds. Decent skill with his shotgun and knife but far from exceptional. His real talent shines when dealing with machinery of the old world which he has a knack for repairing and using. This includes the rare and useless ability to repair televisions. Still retains his haggling skills from his merchant days.
Profession: If you ask him, Archaeologist. If you ask anyone sane it ranges from asshole to creepy dude. Whenever he is at home he runs a shop specializing in electronics.

Any constructive criticism is welcome as I am new to RP.

Name: Monty Maddox: "The Khaki Killer"

Age: 92 years

Gender: Male

Appearance:
Height: 5'4"

Hair: Salt and Pepper grey, kept short and close to his head. At its longest it is only two and a half inches.

Eyes: Glassed over with bitter years and more loss than an unlucky man in a casino. The sides of his eyes are drooping with age and his eyelids are heavy and dark. His irises are dark brown and his left eye has a torn pupil.

Skin: Surprisingly pale, being covered from head to toe constantly even when you're outside prevents tanning. As expected in an old man he's wrinkly and covered with bruises from small scrapes and bumps.

Clothes: From head to toe he's covered in khaki colored leather, it was hewn from the skin of a horse that he killed with his bare hands. Held together with dark leather straps, also made from that same horse. It is a five piece outfit composed of: A wide brimmed gaucho hat with a single red string coiled around the base, a pair of high boots with rubber soles worn down from decades of walking (Somehow still holding together after all these years.), a western duster with exactly seven straps running down the front with brass buckles holding it closed, underneath is a thin cloth shirt he found in the rubble of a burnt building it's charred in some places but holds remnants of its old color (red), and last is a pair of pants that are held on by a dark leather belt and tattered around the ankles.

Paraphernalia: On his waist are two guns that are loosely hooked to his pants, they're massive revolvers w- Ah fuck it, here's a picture of them, they're twins so:

Personality: Not exactly the strong silent type, but he doesn't talk much. And when he does, every word holds more meaning than I can easily describe. Cruel and unfeeling when met in combat, he won't hesitate to blow your head across three counties.

History: Born just near the beginning of it all, he managed to live through some of the creation of 'society.' When he was nine his mother and father left him, told him to be strong, that they had to do something important. And that one day he should do something important too. So he's spent his entire life hunting for meaning. That didn't work out too well when he fell into line with a group of raiders. He became known as the Khaki Killer for wearing his pure khaki colored outfit. After the raider group's leader raped a woman he slit the entire group's throats in the night and left. Somewhere between then and now he got his hands on Bad and Ugly. Since then he's been wandering the world, traveling from city to city and doing what he can to find purpose and survive.

Objectives: What? You expect and old man who's on the cusp of death to have a plan for the future? You expect him to think about twenty years from now? When he'll be a corpse in the ground? No. He doesn't have any objectives, and even if he did he wouldn't tell you.

Skills/Powers:
- His Guns: Not necessarily a power, but these guns are insane. They have a rotater cuff that switches out the cylinders once one runs out of ammunition, each one has six chambers full of bullets. The guns themselves are composed primarily of dirty iron and bronze, where he got them or if he made them himself is unknown. Though, the latter is more likely. Neither of them can be fired in quick succession, the design of the guns themselves makes this impossible. So he fires them one after another. (They're still technically single action revolvers.

1: Bad is his right hand gun, the bullets in its chambers are solid chunks of lead packed tightly against a thick layer of gunpowder, they launch out at massive speeds and can punch holes in the sides of engine blocks.
2: Ugly is his left hand gun, the bullets in its chambers are made of shreds of metal and salt packed against a thinner layer of gunpowder. They launch out in a wide spread and cause devastation to anything they make contact with. Especially flesh.

- Expert Marksman: With Bad he can fire a bullet from the barrel all the way into the head of a mouse from 100 yards away. The same cannot be said about Ugly, because Ugly can't be aimed.

- Feels No Recoil: Despite not having any exceptional physical abilities beyond that of an old man, his guns do not kick for him. When in his hands the shockwave from the twin massive revolvers does not affect him, period.

Profession: A wanderer, he does nothing for anyone, everything he does is for himself. Even if it does make sense to you, it makes sense to him. That or he's just a fucking crazy old man.

Well, let's see.

@WeepingLiberty: If it fits your idea of the character better, by all means use the anime picture. Style would seem to work way better than strict realism here, to be honest. Other than that, It seems to be just fine, and anxiously wait for you to finish it. There's plenty of neat things to look forward to there already, that I only haven't accepted you yet because of the couple of missing things.

@Ninjadino: A slightly excentric Archaeologist? Quite fitting if you ask me. If I had to make any observations, is that perhaps you could go into further detail in many places, and that perhaps you focus on the archaeology aspect a bit too much, leaving him somewhat one-sided. Does he care about anything besides archaeology? Does he still work as a merchant on the side? Perhaps he's found some uses for his powers for something outside of combat. Little details are always great to see.

That said, it is a rather subjective idea, and I'm perfectly fine with the CS as is. Ninjadino, you are Accepted.

@LeeRoy: Now this is very nice. This is probably one of the few occasions a 92-year-old gunslinger dual-wielding handcannons makes perfect sense. However, there is one thing that makes me a little concerned.

The backstory, while not wholly out of place, is a bit dark with the whole rape bit. I'm not going to ask you to censor that, but rather keep in mind that this sort of thing can easily make things inappropriate in the future. It makes sense as backstory, but don't let things get much darker than that bit in the RP. What's more, that's the only objectionable bit, so go horse-killing and throat-slitting ahoy.

Yes, violence is fine. Beheadings, Impalement, and disembowelment can be gratuitous enough that it gets silly. In the proper dose, of course. The same can't be said of other things. LeeRoy, you are Approved.

@Everyone who will post tommorrow: Post Tommorrow. Errr today. My sleep schedule is all sorts of screwed up, but don't fret about not getting in in time. I'm not closing signups, at least, not for the foreseeable future. So feel free to do things at your own pace, and submit when you're ready.

There will be some delay in adding you all to the OOC, because I need to get some rest. The IC will be coming soonish, possibly Tuesday night at the very latest, barring serious problems.

Mind you, Monty is only SLIGHTLY edited from his original story as to fit this context. He's ACTUALLY from a Spaghetti Western story but with dark undertones, so I don't suspect that the rape thing will come up again at all. So there's no chance of that happening.

I based his level of dark-ness off of Breaking Bad, which is one of those shows that pushes the limits of daytime television. What with Danny Trejo being decapitated and having his head placed on a turtle and all.

Glad I'm in, I'm certain this will be a spectacle to behold.

Would heaving around London double-deckers, stomaching rock, wood, radioactive fauna and being able to produce any carbon allotrope be OP?

The average double decker bus weighs: 7tons/7950kgs

Consuming radioactive material of ANY sort increases chances of cancer exponentially on an immediate timescale.

And by ANY carbon allotrope I'm certain you mean Diamonds and Carbon-Nanotubes.

Topics for consideration regarding the post before this one.

Exactly. A mutant that can live on with permanent cancer, has carbon nanotube muscle (maybe nerves too, as graphene is highly conductive. Though i may be wrong, so feel free to correct me) and a diamond exoskeleton. Morever, he can produce glassy carbon, which is highly acid resistant, allowing him to eat nearly anything he finds, combining this ability with the production of highly potent acid.

Indeed, that is a high quality superpower to have. It might not even belong here, but i still want to bring to consideration a decrease in quantity, making this ability an implant (symbiotic fauna?) instead of the body in whole. Of course, i'll create some other character if needed, but this concept still exites me.

A strand or two of carbon muscle for each bunch of human, diamond plating only on the most the vulnerable spots, acid resistance apllied only to the digestive system and acid producing/transportation organs (burst one of those, and the guy dies a pretty nasty death) and ect.

As for cancer, it's probably going to be non-stop chemotherapy. I'll read a bit about other methods of cancer treatment too, so i can flesh out this aspect later on.
