Slackey now looked at Ethan as she tried to continue the belly-rubbing.
"Oh of course, my love! I'll get you some time for yourself and Me and Ace will get some tasty doughnuts. We'll be a really happy family when that's all done."
The honesty in the smile on her face wouldn't make anyone question her sincerety. (Or rather... most people)

She sat up straight and seemed to prepare for departure towards the city.
She made a gesture to Ace as though she wanted to pick him up.
"You want me to rub your belly some more when we go for doughnuts, my little Cuddly Wudlly Acey Pacy Puppy?"

"thanks" shadow said as he started towards the woods to see where he could go when he transformed. As he passed virgil he said "do not go in the woods tonight." trying to have as little as possible witnesses to his transformation @Letmehaveone2

After a moment looking around, he noticed a shadowy figure standing not far from there, talking to a white haired boy. He was surely worth noting, as the shadowy figure appeared to be emitting some kind of aura that originated only from demons. But for some reasons, he could feel yet another aura from the white haired guy as well. There was something off about those two.

Without any hesitation, Azael decided to approach the two men

"You may call me Nico."

As Nico spoke, a pillar of light suddenly shone from the sky and caught his attention. This wasn't the first supernatural phenomenon he had seen, so he simply smiled upon seeing it. He turned back to Price.

"There sure are lots of strange creatures living around here, right?"

"By strange, I mean unique! No offense to any of them."

Ethan went back to the tree he was under earlier, hoping it was still empty.

"Nah, I think one time is good enough!" Ace frowned at the word puppy, but then became happy again. "Let's go to my favorite doughnut shop!" He ran a few feet ahead as if he wanted to lead.

Virgil turned to face him. "You're welcome." He wasn't sure if could comply with that, but he would try. "Okay." Luckily he almost always chose alleyways if he also needed to hide. "See you around maybe?"

Also seeing the light in the corner of his eyes, Price said, "Right. No offense taken here."

The scene before the angle made him have two choices. Follow the shadow demon or the titan. He had to choose quickly as the demon is walking away.

Slackey stretched out her arms forward, chasing the doggie to their destination. "Wheehee!!"

Before he could reach the two of them, they started to part way. And rather quickly. So Azael could only follow one only. And he decided to follow the shadow demon instead. The white-haired man had some kind of aura that the seraph here would definitely have to have a conversation with him. But the thing of more concern was the demon. And he could not let him slide away unless he proved him his good, or at the least harmless, intention to live here.

As the shadow demon quickly leave the scene, Azael's figure suddenly appeared right in front of him, as the angel teleported towards him.

"We need to talk."

"Well what do you wish to know, angle I presume" shadow says stopping so he doesn't run into him. Shadow takes one step back into direct sunlight and the smoke coming from his cloak went to the ground showing his true self in the shadow@Conscripts

"Such creature you are. A descendant of my beautiful creations." Azael said, as he watched the demon turning into a terrifying razor like creature with claws. But then his face turned serious.

"However, it appeals to me that the power inside of you is a threat to those around you. While this may be fine for a normal creature, the fact that you are a demon makes the story different."

He stared into the creature's eyes, or it was to the seraph.

"I am here to make sure that you do not have the intention to harm others."

Ace made his way over to the city and then to the doughnut shop. "I will have to into human form since they don't allow dogs!" That said, he shifted to his human form before opening the door and holding it there for her.

Seeing the boy turn into his human form left slacky a bit conflicted..
She got red cheeks and hid away in her hair. She shuffled herself past him as she mumbled:

"You're a gentlemen. Holding the door for me is so kind..."

She turned her attention to the person behind the counter: "Did you see that? He's a gentlemen!"

@Conscripts"I have no intentions of harming anyone" shadow says in a very serious tone."I would much rather harm myself before I would think of injuring anyone." shadow said tucking his arms inside his cloak. "if you do not believe me keep a close watch after nightfall."

Mizu tilted her head to the side as she watched him collapse like a tonne of bricks to the floor. She peered at him as she leaned forward, her hands on her knees. "oh dear oh dear, I hate it when they faint. Maybe I should get a moist towlette or something..." she bumped her fist lightly against her head, trying to think.

Perhaps he'd like to wake up in the sandcastle? Yes yes, that seems like a good idea. Mizu began to try and drag him towards it, but she was too tiny to move his big frame by herself and she couldn't get him to budge an inch. After straining and digging her feet into the sand, she plopped down with a sigh.

In the distance, a beam of light shot down from the sky. Mizu cowered back.

"oh no, the heavens are mad at me for scaring the nice man..." she murmured to herself, staring up at it with big eyes. Well, in this case, there was only one thing to do!

Bring the sandcastle to him.

Mizu shifted her hands into little paws and began to bury the man up to his neck in sand. When she was satisfied with her work, she called over to the lady drinking nearby. "Excuse me! This nice man has fainted! Do you happen to have a moist towlette?"

Azael was pretty unconvinced. Of course demons would say they do not harm others to cover themselves. They aren't stupid creature.

But unfortunately, there was no way he could say for sure whether the demon really meant it or not. And to the Heaven's rule, you can suspect, you can judge, but you can't punish, until proven guilty. But Azael didn't have the time to wait until nightfall just to watch over a single demon. It would be a great delay to his schedule.

Then should he just let him go? What if he was really an innocent guy in a terrifying shell?

No.

He shouldn't be so careless. He had slacked it off once, and here was this mess. Now those supernatural creatures were everywhere, and who knows if they are causing trouble to each other.

Azael had an idea. An idea for a test. A test of will. He remembered the time when he tested a demon's will by showing a part of his true form. Demons were afraid of the holiness of angels and archangels. The weaker they are, the stronger the fear. While this does not really applicable to all demons, since a strong one will not be fazed, it is worth using it to test the will of normal demons like this one. He appeared not to be in his strongest state anyway, so it would probably be the best.

"My apologies, but I have no time for that."

Azael straightened his arms, as he said so

"But no worries, for I shall have a different test for you."

Suddenly, his body began to glow.

"If you can stand straight looking at what you are about to see, then I will be temporarily convinced that your words are genuine."

Azael stood straight and proud, as his body continued to shine with great intensity. Then, from the two corners of his backs, a pair of wings slowly appeared, one on each sides, stretching out slowly. The wings also glowed bright with pure whiteness. At its greatest stretch, the wings soared two meters each in length. And yet you can still see his face and his clothes still intact, as he was not showing his true self, and was instead holding back.

"What I'm about to see?" shadow said as suddenly the angel started to glow. "WAIT, SHADOW DEMON!" shadow yelled as his face and arms started to burn. His shadow started to change and grow showing his MiDnIgHt form on the ground. Shadow fell to one knee as he breathed heavy. "W-warn me n-next time" shadow said standing shakily as the angel stopped glowing.

'Impressive'

He thought to himself as his wings slowly disappeared into his back, as he stopped glowing. Indeed he was right. Most evil demons would just cower in fear or run away at the first sight. The holy light is hazardous to all devils and demons, and usually, those who could not stand a fight against it would usually run for safety of their miserable life. While this did not particularly show exactly and precisely whether he was evil or not, it showed that he had the will to face it. And in many cases, evil demons did not have what he had.

Azael's lips curved slightly upwards.

"If I had warned you, then there is no reason to conduct this test."

He then stepped aside, standing out of the way of the shadow demon for him to go wherever he wanted.

"I'm quite persuaded. You may truly have no ill intentions. Though I will still have to keep an occasional watch against you."

"still I'm a shadow demon so I'm weaker in sunlight, so this will take twice along to heal" shadow said looking at his arm and hand as it was bleeding black blood. "Now if you excuse me ill be finding somewhere to change tonight" @Conscripts

Azael simply let the shadow demon to go where he pleased. One down, perhaps...

"Now where did that titan go?"

While he was busy handling the shadow guy, the other one was no where to be found. Of course, if the seraph knew where he was, he could have just teleported to his position. But unfortunately, he did not know his exact location, so he wouldn't be able to do so.

"I guess I'll just jump randomly somewhere."

His body disappeared in an instant.

BEACH

The angel reappeared on a huge sandy beach.

Wait, what?

Just a few miles away, it was the park, and the forest.

How was it that the beach was so close to those locations?

Perhaps there were things that celestial beings couldn't really comprehend.

And perhaps he was at the wrong place as well.

Ace went over to counter, knowing she would follow. "I usually get a dozen, how many do you want?" He went ahead and got his order out of the way.
