In a small chunk of the world known as Viore, a legend has been passed down about ten heroes that defeated a great evil and restored peace to the land. While no one really knows if this is true, what has been true is that there has been peace, at least until now.
Viore has always been a PokeManiac And Ruin Maniac's Paradise, with an abundance of Pokemon from all across the world like no other Region, as well as a plethora of lost ruins and legends just waiting to be discovered. However, in recent years, it has become the target of poachers and thieves.
Most of the region is blissfully unaware of this. However, a mysterious group has begun working from the shadows to change Viore. An ancient prophecy is coming to light, and it will be up to them to keep peace and harmony in Viore, whether they know it or not.
Plot
Viore is in great danger, whether it knows it or not. It is a threat like none seen since ancient times. In response, an unknown power has been awakened as Viore's last defense. The Legendary Guardians.
But just who are they? Well, they're ordinary people, like you and me. They come from all walks of life, from all over the world. Only ten have ever existed, the originals. The fact that new Guardians are being chosen means that this threat could change the world. It must be stopped, no matter the cost.

Groups
The Main Focus of the RP are the ones known as Legendary Guardians. They are the ones who have bonded to the ten Guardian Pokemon, just like the original Guardians. This, over time and training, grants them specific abilities based on their partner, with a basic among all ten being a telepathic connection with their partner. It is their duty to defend Viore from the force that threatens the long standing peace the Region has endured, whether they know it or not.
An Organization known as Royal Skies has begun working in Viore from the shadows. Some call them criminals, others call them vigilantes, while some don't know what to think of them. Their intentions are unclear, as are their motives, but one thing is for certain. They're determined to bring change to Viore, one way or another.
The Viore League is somewhat different than most. When the Police Force isn't enough to handle a situation, they take control. They have made it their job to protect Viore, while still fulfilling their daily roles as a League. This change was brought about after a new Champion took the throne, who's identity is still a mystery after five years.

Alastair Jonathan Kendrick (also known as AJ)

Gender: Male Age: 11 Hometown/Region: Verdanturf Town, Hoenn region
Personality: AJ may seem quiet at first glance, but he actually talks quite a bit. He speaks his mind more often than not regardless of the situation, though he won’t say more than he needs to. He’s nice enough to other people (and pokemon) whether they’re friends or strangers, and is kind to most. He gets along most easily with those around the same age as him, but respects older people for the knowledge they've accumulated. His moral compass is solid and he is always willing to help those in need. He seems a little naïve at times, but there’s a logic behind what he does. He sets his sights on the small scale, the now rather than later. He knows full well that he can’t predict the future, so he focuses on what he can do and leaves the rest for later.
AJ was born into the hands of a free spirited bird keeper and a kind but firm pokemon breeder. He’d always lived with a large family which consisted of his parents, his 4 siblings, and the various pokemon that shared the house. Many were from his mother’s hobbies, though some were pokemon that had shared adventures with his father during the man's younger days as a pokemon trainer. AJ was the second oldest sibling but it didn’t feel like it, with anywhere up to a dozen pokemon in the house along with their large family. Many of the pokemon in the house had lived longer lives than he did, so he learned to respect them. But many in the house had been born during AJ's life, so he learned to take care of them. They didn’t live a rich life but it was a happy life. Most kids his age went to trainer school but AJ made do with the teachings of his father, or what little tidbits he could glean from the largely exaggerated stories he was told. Still, while his knowledge of the ins and outs of training pokemon were a bit lacking, he knew more about pokemon themselves than most. His unique circumstances has made it easier to sympathize with pokemon and AJ enjoyed a bond between him and his 'family' of pokemon.
One of his relatives phoned in one day and asked for his father’s help to set up pokemarts in Viore. It was essentially a delivery job, carrying various goods from a central base to various pokemarts across the region. An ideal job for a trainer like AJ’s father, with his extensive experience in flying, but that wasn’t what drew his attention. A new region, filled with all sorts of ruins and natural beauty. AJ’s father, the adventurous free spirit that he was, decided he wanted in. It was a temporary job but if things went well, then there was the possibility of a permanent job for AJ’s father. It took a long time to convince AJ’s mother to let him go, and even longer still to let AJ come with him. The plan has been to let AJ’s father scope out the situation and perhaps later the whole family could move out to the new region. But AJ wanted to see the world; he was interested to see what kind of place Viore was, and his father agreed that it would be a good experience for the young child. They would only be gone for a few months to help get the region’s pokemarts for a time, and they would be back every so often to visit. Still, his mother wouldn’t let him go without an escort, so AJ and his best friend Kevin the spearow set off to see what kind of things there were to see in Viore.
A week passed since they arrived in Viore and AJ and his father have settled in for the most part. AJ's father has started doing his job and seems to have gotten used to it. For the time being they're staying at a relative's house in New Amber town and AJ has only started getting used to it. He doesn't mind the down time, however, as he'll find adventure soon enough.

History: Kevin has been a part of AJ’s life ever since AJ could remember. The offspring of his Father’s Fearow, Kevin often got into trouble during AJ’s childhood. While initially distrustful of the boy, they soon became an inseparable tag team of troublemakers, getting into scrapes and learning life lessons when they get told off. For the most part Kevin is still the same personality-wise; proud and impulsive, though not unintelligent. His feisty temperament and tendency to peck first and ask questions later was kept in check by AJ and thus they have both enjoyed a more efficient partnership over the years. He eagerly joins AJ on his trip so that he can show the world that he’s the best Spearow there ever was.

Hey, I just wanted to express my interest for this RP. I will warn you that I've never actually played a Pokemon RP before, but they seem to be quite popular on the Guild these days so I thought I'd at least give one of them a shot.
Having read through the IntChk, I saw some mention of there being a need for Experienced Trainers amongst the lineup. Trainers who, I assume, may already possess one or two Stage 2 Pokemon. As such, I'd like to know if it's possible for my character to have both Umbreon and Espeon? I figure that they're probably a stupidly generic pairing but I haven't really played much of the many New Gen games, so my knowledge is kinda stuck in the dark ages where Pokemon is concerned.
If it's any consolation, I have thought up a bit of backstory that could give reason as to why my character would possess both an Umbreon and Espeon in the first place. Put simply, Karma and his twin sister Celestia were both given Eevee's as their starter Pokemon. Naturally, over time and with rigorous training, the two Eevee's evolved into their current respective forms. However, tragedy strikes soon after as it often does, with Celestia being kidnapped by an unknown group for unknown reasons. Though it is presumed to have something to do with their father's research. With her Trainer gone, Espeon looks to Karma in order to save Celestia and agrees to follow him until he manages to return her. Obviously, there would be initial teething problems between the two, meaning that Karma wouldn't be able to fully control Espeon properly during battles. But I'd like to think that their teamwork would vastly improve during the course of the RP.
Let me know what you think, please. I'd be happy to start over if it all seems a little Farfetch'd (:P). But it's definitely a character plot that I think I could enjoy playing out. :)
I would... really have to think about that. My vision about the antagonist organization is quite a bit different than most people's. I'd also need more info on this "Research" that his father does.
