Hello and welcome!

In this little shop, you may feel free to interact with the staff and purchase artifacts, weapons, potions, salves and balms depending on your needs. Drop by any time you like for a conversation any time you like and use this as a way to explore your characters. Build their backstories by asking questions and interacting; test out your character's quirks and personalities, as well as create possible 1x1 or small groups for future role plays depending on who you meet here! If your character is looking for someone, speak to Kale the manager to put your 'lost' posters up on the noticeboard outside the shop.

Fandoms are also welcome- if you have never played a character in your fandom before and you want to get a feel for them before you start, then this is the place to do it!

There are no character sheets, so reveal your characters as slowly or as quickly as you like. The only thing you will need to submit is a job application if you wish to work here! (See the character tab)

Do check the noticeboard, as the shopkeeper or the employees may step out onto a quest or an errand, but there will always be someone manning the shop, so always someone to talk to!

Now for the boring part; the rules:

• This is a free-jump-in RP. Feel free to post as much or as little as you like in your posts, but make sure that you’re giving enough information to reply to in your posts.
• Be respectful of one and other in the shop – try not to push in and wait your turn to be talked to. If you work in the shop, answer the first person to talk to you, then the next in the order of posting – you can do this in the same post if it suits you!
• If you want to work in the shop, you must send in an application through the characters tab – there you will be accepted and added to a list in the top post which will change depending on who works there.
• Any character is welcome, any species, creature and rank. This includes fandom characters.
• I will allow fights to happen – some characters are just that feisty, but if it gets personal please take it out of the role play and into your own PMs. I want this to be a fun atmosphere and the shop isn’t a bar – there shouldn’t be brawls breaking out every 5 minutes!
• If the shopkeeper is on a quest or an errand with a customer, a sign will be put up at the top of the RP to let you know who is in charge and who is in the shop. Check the ‘noticeboard’ post regularly for updates as to what deals there are and who is in the shop.
• If I ask you to leave, it will be because you are being disrespectful to other players. This is a testing ground and a place for characters to mingle and interact where they otherwise might not be able to. Please do your best to encourage a growing atmosphere!
• If someone has upset you, please do let me know and I will PM them and discuss it there with the people involved.
• Have fun!

Feel free to post here with any questions or comments that you would like to raise! Also feel free to send in your job applications to Kale the shop owner! Try to do it in character; even write a little cover sheet if your character is looking to impress! Kale will reply in the form of a short letter.

Quick question! The job application says to hand it into the manager. So should post in the IC handing the job application into the manager, or should we post it in the character section or send it to you in a PM?

@OliviaV Yeah that sounds fun! Definitely post the sheet in the character tab and you can also have your character 'physically' hand it in to Kale in the IC if you want to :)

@bloonewb Yep, your character can walk into the shop at any time. If there are other people, you might need to wait to be talked to unless you join into the conversation going on of course :) There are 2 employees at the minute; Kale and True, so one of them will hopefully be free to talk to :)

I just matched a jumble of letters randomly for Sergei's language, and when I plugged it in google translate, apparently I wrote "cod gorge" in Norwegian. I certainly hope none of you guys are fluent in Norwegian.

@2plus2isnot5 Hi! Absolutely! You can, like V, hand it in IC (Might take a while to get the acceptance letter depending on who is in the shop!) or just write up an application in the character tab and go about it that way :)

Great =D I was thinking seeing as there's a lot of people in the shop at the moment, maybe my character could have already been working there a while and is just getting in for her shift? That way I don't disrupt things too much, if that's okay?

@2plus2isnot5 Yeah that could work quite nicely actually - post an application to the character tab so I can work on how True and Kale would interact with her and hopefully it'll mean less people need to wait to interact :D

I'll get to it now, I already started so I just need to finish it off =)

@2plus2isnot5 Awesome, thanks for posting, I'll put the letter of acceptance up there for you in a moment for job role etc. I'm thinking that since she's a botanist, maybe a big part of her role at the shop is tending to a lot of the ingredients for potions in the gardens?
She can work behind the counter and sell too but that could fit in nicely and Kale can teach her about magical plants alongside her degree?
