That was a quick and sloppy post, but I was running out of time. Sorry guys!

Bright_Ops, it would be great if you posted first and summarized the official deployment of your forces so we can all get a good understanding of how the Allies are positioned.

EDIT: In case it's not made obvious, Alaric has two-thousand light infantry in the center, with five hundred light cavalry on the north flank and five hundred cavalry on the south flank.

They may or may not know, but it doesn't matter because you're not going to be able to turn the Zathii against the Imperials. It's a cool idea and I think it would have been a nice option to give you, but I already have a similar idea for a later encounter and would like to save the opportunity for that moment.

EDIT: The Zathii are not privy to all of the Empire's plan. For all they know they'll fight at the Maw and go home afterwards. They just want to do whatever it takes to finish the campaign and get back home.

These guys are rather visibly outmatched, our heavy infantry alone could decimate them.

For the record, the Holy knights are split for the Calvary and infantry. So like 3 in each Calvary decision, but 4 in the center mass infantry.

I wouldn't mind making a quick post just to make sure we make it clear ICly what my engineers are doing. It was never really made clear, and there is too much of them to ignore their IC present and work.

I think I'm satisfied with the ideas I have for Asgeir; I'll still be editing my bio from time to time until I get it just right. The Varan are a nordic, equestrian, warrior folk who rely on agriculture and livestock. The people value horses because they work the fields, herd cattle, and provide transportation in the rural landscape. Their army can be described as 'mounted infantry', essentially fighting mounted whenever possible, but doubling as effective foot soldiers (which is where they really excel). This is crucial for what they'll become in the future, assuming we get a gunpowder sequel.

I'd very much like to do a gunpowder sequel if we get through this! And it'll be in the same universe, so I'd imagine it'd be like WARHAMMER in terms of setting. I'd encourage your return and would further encourage the continuation of your current factions.

I think it'll be early gunpowder, with cannons, muskets, carbines, sabers, lances, and pikes. Tanks, long-range missiles, etc that you see used by the Empire in WARHAMMER would not be allowed. The plot would concern a coalition of various forces campaigning for control of a large region (as opposed to a small location like the Maw). Think of the Napoleonic Wars.

But that's enough for now - let's finish this RP first!

Well, maybe after this, I think I will be making a naval RP based on the battle of Myeongnyang, where muskets, arquebuses and cannons are viable, and you along with less than 12 ships have to face against hundreds. It would be fun. But now to focus more on this.
