@Spiffy Eos pretty much is 99.99% of her faction, as far as I'm aware, with how she remote powers/coordinates 99.99% of the machines that make the Machina run. There's not much need for bureaucracy when one person is 99.99% of your citizen base.

And the Heaven's strategy is "Whoever feels particularly zealous can go run in and die, and then we'll send one or two gods in to be an army in and of themselves." So, they don't particularly need any organization between Deva saying, "Go fight over there."

@TheWindel Interesting. How did the queen come to power in the race of mankind? It would seem that man would be more prone to something like democracy. What led to her unparalleled power? Is there any way to have a government shift into a different form?

@The 42nd Gecko Ah that pretty much sums it up. Is humanity still around or is everything taken over Terminator style?

@Spiffy Mankind as a species is pretty irrelevant to the Machina faction. The humans have a few exceptional entities (Hibiki... And.. Bastion? Are they the only meaningful humans left for them?) but are otherwise "Eh, we keep you around for the lulz."

The latter. If you're not a machine in the Machina Faction, your life sucks. The only reason Bastion isn't being beat up every day by robots is due to Eos.

@Spiffy if you know the Warhammer 40k verse, the Machina is basically the Imperium of Man if the God Emperor was still alive and actively involved in his empire.

@Lucius Cypher I'd disagree with that assessment. Definitely more of what Lonewolf said.

@Awesomoman64 I mean, he's cool, but what has he actually done? I put him in the same category as Alexi of "Kinda there."

Thanks for the helpful information. Does anyone know how the Machines and the Queen specifically came to power?

@Spiffy I'd give around 50% odds the Queen does. But not 100% sure she would, as she may or may not have memories of her own creation.

She's apparently got a celestial spirit of a sun as her power core, and I still wanna learn whether that spirit entered into that bargain willingly or not. But sadly, none of my currently existing in the Nexus or at all characters know even enough to ask.

Yeah, he really hasn't done much other than ignore Bonesword's advances attempts at friendship.

Hold on though, didn't Alexi go head to head with Ira and actually get some good hits on her? I'd count that as exceptional!

@Awesomoman64 It kinda went down like this:

Alexi: If I get a sneak attack off on you, burning all of my body's power in one overwhelming strike, I can shatter your mask.
Ira: Very impressive. Anything else?
Alexi: Nope. Bleh. Dies.

If it came down to another duel between them, Ira probably wouldn't take it easy on Alexi and Alexi'd never get a chance to use her charge attack.

That sounds an awful lot like Tech Priest heresy to me.

Please report yourself to the nearest Ordos Hereticu Inquisitor for questioning :3

I mean, have you heard of anyone else ever shattering Ira's mask? No. Because if you did, the mask would have already been broken.

@Spiffy

Let me add my bit to it as well, based on what has been said IC up to now.

First, Hohenheim, the Alchemist of Genesis, claimed that she was the creator of Nexus' humanity (presumably based on humanity from outside of it... probably?) but, for some reason went on a self-imposed exile, leaving them to fend for themselves. While people should take Hohenheim's words with a huge grain of salt, it's also very obvious that she has the power to back it up. Her reasons, and the truth about what happened are yet to be seen.

After mankind was left on their won, they found that fighting the Angels and Demons, not to say even surviving on the very aggressive land of the Nexus was a really harsh task. They were the underdogs being kicked by everyone for ages, even with their rising technology, it was harsh to get an edge over the other factions.

It was then that Eos came in, like a literal Messiah and gave them the power and technology that they enjoy today. With this, Mankind (or better, their Machines) are finally able to fight off the other faction at an equal footing. Eos' origins and history are a mystery to all but herself and a very select few, the only thing that's know was that she was found/met for the first time in some ancient ruins.

Eos' technology and power is in a totally different level than that of the other Machina. Even eons after she has been leading them, no scientist was ever able to crack down how or why Eos can even operate. On a hand she looks like she was made using super outdated tech (as Hohenheim said once IC, Eos was made in a world where the most advanced tech available were smartphones), on the other she is so complex that no one can be even fathom what her creator was thinking.

The part about she having a Sun Goddess', more specifically Amaterasu, heart as her power core (the reason why it's called Amaterasu Drive) is known by some members of the Machina and seems to be the key point of why she's so different from everyone else and why Eos is extremely deadly to Demons, in fact, some theorize that she was built as a Demon Hunter android. She doesn't make secret of this part of her, but also doesn't go out of her way to tell it to anyone.

Oh, and for some reason, Eos is also a literal idol among her people. Her performances don't seems to come from being made a music machine, it's more like she actually has a soul behind her singing and eventual guitar performances.

Anyway, this is pretty much all the information regarding Eos and the Machina that have been said IC up to now. You are welcome to look into more of it in case you still want more answers.
