Azura took a quick glance around the music room and frowned. The last time she was here the place had been filled with so much love, warmth, and magic. Upon arrival, cherry blossoms would shower down captivating its guests with not only the petals beauty, but its fragrance as well. Now, anyone could tell that the facility had not been used for quite some time. Though it was still beautiful, it seemed neglected... abandoned somehow. Hopefully as the club progressed they would do their best to rectify this problem. Starting with the cherry blossoms.
She also noticed that she had been the first one to arrive.
Towards the middle of the room sat a coffee table made of a dark mahogany, and two sofas which faced each other. Azura approached the area in an attempt to sit down and make herself comfortable while waiting for the other club members to arrive. Slinging her suede messenger bag over the back of the pink sofa, she sunk into the plush cushions as a heavy sigh escaped her lips. She then produced a list out of her back pocket. The very list that Tamaki-Senpai had given her the year before. Unfolding it, she spread the paper out onto her lap and scanned the names as well as the descriptions of each member once more, hoping to commit them to memory. How bad of a club leader would she be if she forgot someones name?
It was at that moment that the first Host had arrived. Well, other than Zu-Zu of coarse.
The first thing she had noticed about him was his blood red eyes. When he entered the music room Azura looked up and met his gaze. He had shaggy dark hair and a lean, swimmer-type build. It wasn't until he spoke that Azura knew who he was.
"Good afternoon." He greeted pleasantly before taking a seat next to her.
He spoke with a thick Russian accent which was the main indicator on the identity of the mysterious boy. According to the list, Dimitri Volkova was not only Russian, but also the Vice President.
She turned to face him and gave a brilliant smile. This resulted in revealing her trademark pearly teeth and dimples. Both traits were probably some of the reason she had been invited as a Hostess.
"Like wise." She grinned, her voice melodic and sincere.
Just as she was about to introduce herself another host had strolled in.
This boy was taller with a slightly bigger build. He had golden blonde hair and pink eyes.
His face matched Azuras as far as the widespread grin and standing before them with his hands on his hips he spoke.
"Please tell me i'm not the only first year. He chuckled, his voice clearly portraying his statement as a joke.
"The little brother slot never did suit me.""Ah, pink eyes and cocky grin..." Azura thought, referencing the list once more.
"That must be the well-known gang member, Charlton Reynolds."Again, Zu-Zu opened her mouth to reply, but was once more interrupted by another entry. At this point, she figured it would be best to remain silent until everyone had arrived. Once this happened, they could all introduce themselves in an orderly fashion.
The third entry however, did not speak upon arrival. He entered the room with his headphones on, his attention focused soley on the device in his hand. He even went out of his way to grab a chair from one of the nearby dining tables and drag it over to the corner of the room. This made it obvious that he did not want to be disturbed. With his rebellious nature, there was no doubt that the stranger had to be Jack Smith, the bad boy.
"Not if I have anything to say about it." She thought as her other persona began to appear.
Her appearance, as well as her attitude slightly shifted. Frowning slightly, her eyes narrowed, she stood up and briskly walked towards the boy who had been headbanging at the moment.
He had not noticed her approach due to the fact that his hearing as well as his vision had been presently preoccupied. Leaning forward, Zura reached out and grasped the headphone chord. With one swift tug, his earbuds fall onto his lap which surprised him no doubt.
"Hey tough guy." Zura spoke, her tone slightly lower and clipped. Edgier perhaps. It was common for her altered personality to have not only her own mannerisms, but her own voice as well. To those who knew her craziness well, they could always tell whether or not they were talking to Zu-Zu or Zura. It was quite confusing to others at times.
"Club meetings about to start. Don't make me take your phone away."Without another word, she turned her heel and retreated back to her original spot on the sofa. With every step she took she felt herself changing back into the chipper Club leader she had been when she first arrived. Right when she sat on the couch, oblivious to the odd looks she had just received, another figure entered their playhouse.
The next person was the exact opposite of Mr. Tough Guy. She made her presence known by basically dancing into the club room. Her grace more pronounced as animated sparkles surrounded her petite frame.
She had honey-brown hair that had been clipped to her shoulders. Her grin was infectious and her excitement palpable.
"Hello everyone!" She sang as she skipped over.
"Are you as excited as I am?"The only other girl in the Host Club.
Looking down at her list, the president quickly found her name, Amanda. However, to the red heads dismay, a coffee stain had smudged out the perky females last name.
Azura nodded politely and motioned for the girl to take a seat near the coffee table.
"Of coarse! Welcome! Please have a seat so we may be better acquainted." Zura smiled a friendly smile as she attempted (and failed) to match Amanda's enthusiasm.
The final two members arrived within seconds of each other.
The first boy wore thick rimmed glasses and had his hair cut short. He must have been awfully shy because he made it a point to not make direct eye contact with anyone in the room. Quickly, he scurried over and took a seat on the couch, his knuckles turning white from clutching his bag. With his nerdiness apparent, no doubt this was Kichiro Hideyoshi.
The second boy seemed well... ordinary. It was hard to pinpoint his trait exactly. As he entered the room he seemed confident, but not so much that he came off as arrogant. Upon glancing at the list Azura knew his name right away. Anchor Aldor. The normal type. The only abnormal thing about the boy besides his name was his hair. Ironically, it was a tinted green in which long locks cascaded down to the males waist. His hair was so gorgeous that Azura envied it silently as she watched the last member take his seat.
At first, the club leader felt nervous. All eyes were on her as they waited for her to speak. Summoning every ounce of courage she had, the red head stood up and cleared her throat before addressing the room.
"Thank you all for coming." Azura began, before bowing slightly as a sign of respect.
"I would like to take this opportunity to commence the very first meeting of this years Ouran High School Host Club."As she spoke, she strode to the front of the room so that she could face and make eye contact with every person in the room. Her old public speaking habits started to resurface after months of neglecting the skill. She stood taller, chin held high, squaring her shoulders, hopefully as an attempt to portray good leadership skills. Once assessing each individual and confirming that she had had everyones attention, she continued on.
"Before we begin with business, I would like to take a moment and have everyone introduce themselves. Please state your name, your Host type, and three of your favorite things." As an example, she was the first to speak.
Placing her hands on her hips, she puffed out her chest dramatically and gave everyone an enthusiastic smile.
"When in doubt, think like Tamaki." Azura thought idly as she continued.
A stray lock of hair had fallen into her direct line of vision. Her bravado faltered slightly as she proceeded to blow the hair back into place. After a few times with no avail, she simply ran her fingers through her hair putting the piece back where it had originated.
"My name is Azura Aviel Lunarie." She grinned as if nothing awkward had happend.
"I am the Girl-Next-Door type. Which, I guess means i'm a tomboy?" The statement came out as more of a question since she herself was confused with the title Suo-Senpai had given her.
"And my three favorite things are; thunderstorms, creativity, and chocolate pocky." As a way of emphasis, a pocky stick magically appeared out of nowhere, landing in between her lips. She took a bite and closed her eyes to savor the flavor.
"Up next, lets hear a few words from our new found Vice President!"
