Torok had worked quietly while cleaning up the training area. It was no problem for him to remove the moss and vines that had creeped up and around the area, making piles of dead leaves in the corners. After the area was cleaned it was already late or early he wasn’t entirely sure. The nighttime air was cool with stars that dotted the dark sky. He was well aware he was supposed to be in his cabin but even if he was he would likely just keep his cabin mate up but whoever was pulling the night shift security didn’t bother him, so he figured it was OK as long as he stayed in the area.

The boy spent the remaining night hours meditating and concentrating on different tasks. Whether those tasks were levitating small stones around him like planets orbiting a star, to continually shaping small stones into different shapes like clay. He started with the stones orbiting him, one at a time going at different speeds some smaller ones orbited the larger ones like moons. Until after about 10 stones their orbits would begin to shake and falter eventually falling to the ground. Once one would fall the others would follow, Victor would always try in frustration to keep them all aloft but once one fell he could no longer keep good concentration.

He knew his emotions influenced his abilities, but he was not willing to try, the last thing he wanted was to put everyone in danger because he couldn’t control them. He had a feeling he was stifling his ability to learn by not expressing them, but he refused to take the chance. Besides, it didn’t matter how the others viewed him, he still believed he was a monster. The warm glow of the rising sun blanketed his form and with a sigh he stood. He guessed it was time for breakfast and his roommate would be getting woken up soon with everyone else. So without a second thought of whether it would bother the other lad Victor went back to the cabin changed his shirt and left for the mess hall. Being sure to pick up the sapphire necklace from the window sill he wasn’t very quiet while rummaging through his things and closing the door behind him.

Breakfast and the hike went by fast, he did lose his hiking buddy early on. The girl seemed far too interested in the flowers and insects around her to the point she seemed to be only worried about them. “Must be something to do with her ability” the boy thought to himself as he wandered off into the thick brush. But alas, the bell was rung and whistles were blown indicating the end to the hike and the beginning of classes. At least he was put in the same class with one of the better teachers.

The boy had entered the class room and found his seat opposite from Lilac. He shifted slightly in his seat his pants and white shirt already held dried dirt and dust. His skin, although tan, still looked dirty, but he still smelled like jasmine from the flowers he wore yesterday. He was hoping to be able to get outside to continue practicing his ability’s and if Lilac asked assist her or the others with lessons. He was just a bit uncomfortable indoors, the floor felt unwelcoming under his bare feet, and he never truly felt at peace, he seemed to feel more distracted than anything really.

Caleb stepped into the classroom and looked around at the walls with a mixture of different posters and colours... were they in kindergarten or something? ...Then again, compared to their teacher, they might as well still be wetting the bed.

Taking a seat next to the wall, he opened his sketchbook to a clean page and began to gently sketch a scene into the paper with his pencil. It would occupy him until the rest of his classmates arrived and they began.

It was forming almost of its own accord... a grey sky, and a hillside path worn by many feet over the years. Several teenagers were some way along the path, and the whole picture was somehow hazy, like a dream, like the perspective came from someone half-asleep. Caleb found himself smirking at it. It was only a small sketch, but he could already see it in its entirety. Maybe because he was sketching what he had seen.

Molly made her way into the powers area, still feeling a little itchy. Somehow, she'd managed to turn herself into an otter while she slept, and changing back always made her skin uncomfortable. She went into the classroom, looking with chagrin at the decorations. Oh, gods. This lady needs some interior design advice, now!

The class name only made it worse. She was terrible at conjuring anything, much preferring to transform something that was already there. She didn't exactly have high hopes, but took out her notebook, preparing to make the best of it.

Tempest sauntered into class at the last minute and took a seat that she felt she could get away with texting in the most. She smiled cheekily at Lilac who gave her an exasperated look.

"Welcome to class, Tempest. Glad you could join us."

"I did manage to fit you in." She got comfortable in her chair. "Do I really need to be here? I think we both know I'm skilled enough to bypass this."

She did learn magic year round, after all, and she had been doing so since her powers had manifested. Her mom had even made her learn magic theory ever since she was able to read. She felt that her abilities probably far surpassed those of the other kids. She knew she'd be better off practicing on her own so she could focus on what she needed to work on. She was used to studying independently and it was more effective for her anyways.

"I'm sorry, but it's required for all campers to attend classes. You know that."

Tempest made a face. "Worth a shot."

She'd probably just sneak off to the bathroom and then leave for the whole lesson as many time as she could get away with, or sit out of view from Lilac and text or sketch. She didn't see any reason to waste this time "participating."

Mason hurried into the classroom, skin radiating a faint, though unpleasant burning sensation. He was sweating heavily, and once he was inside, he stripped off his heavy overcoat and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. "Whew. It's... really sunny out there. I don't know how I'm going to put up with this nonsense for a whole summer."

He draped the fashionable garment over the back of his chair, then leaned back, taking in his surroundings with an unhurried calmness that came naturally to him. He shot a cocky smile up to the front of the class, at the vampiric counselor who was presiding over the currently-empty classroom.

"Hey, there, Miss Thelma. Looks like I'm a bit early, huh?" He sat quietly for a moment, trying desperately not to simply let the conversation die there. Did he have anything in common with the vampire there? There was the obvious photosensitivity similarity. Do real vampires turn into bats, or is that just in comics and movies? That's probably not polite to ask. "So... How do you deal with the sun? I mean, it's summer, right? And don't vampires like you turn into ash or dust or something when you're in the sunlight? I mean, it just hurts a bit for me, unless I'm... well, y'know."

Dammit. I wish that Tempest girl were here. She seemed to get it. She'd probably make for better conversation, and she's damn pretty, too.

"Of course." He waved his hand and the cuffs fell off of Alice's wrists. "Now, we're going to start with meditation. This helps you find your center and have better control over your powers over a period of time." He floated slowly around the outside of the circle and the candles dimmed. "Everyone, please close your eyes and take some deep breaths, focusing on your power."

As the bracelets fell off, Alice felt a surge of power returning to her. She gasped, closing her eyes for a few moments as she regained her composure, idly rubbing her wrists as shd did so.

Never again she thought to herself as she opened her eyes...only to be told to close them again. She sighed gently, but complied, closing her eyes and keeping her breathing calm. Deep breaths in and out, ignoring how silly she thought this was. She was enjoying the freedom from the bracelets.

The twins watched curiously as the bracelets on the girl's wrists snapped off effortlessly. Fei didn't really understand what they were for, but his sister seemed genuinely surprised. Before he had the chance to ask what just happened, the scary teacher began to speak again, causing him to flinching unintentionally.

Mediation...huh. Fei furrowed his brows, as he didn't understand what closing his eyes and 'breathing' would do. Giving Emilia one more glance, Fei closed his eyes and took off his earbuds before forcing air in and out of his mouth. He was extremely uncomfortable to say the least, as with his eyes closed, he couldn't help but miss his sister already. Yeah, she's right beside him, but if he couldn't see her, then wouldn't that make him more alone than he though?

Panic now rising in the male doll, as the dimmed candles that were close to him began to rise into the air. Fei didn't want to get in trouble for opening his eyes, but he really wanted to see his sister...more candles began to hover in the air, some of them even shaking, sending small droplets of hot wax around. If he could stop them, he would, but Fei had no idea he was even using his powers since he eyes were still shut tightly. He could hear Emilia 'breathing' beside him, but he didn't want to interrupt her...what to do?

Thelma listened to the gargoyle kid before her ramble on about the sun for a minute. What was his name again? Right, Mason. She thought his name was kinda funny because a mason was a builder who used stone. She smiled reassuringly at him as he trailed off.

"We're sensitive to the sun, sure, but we build up tolerances to it the longer we're alive. For example, I dislike being in direct sunlight, but I can stand it for a little bit. I actually usually carry a parasol with me, and I'm fine then."

Mimthoy noticed the little doll boy inadvertently using his powers to levitate candles. He had led it be at first, but when they started shaking, he figured he better intervene to protect the books from the hot wax. Oh, and the other campers.

He floated closer to the boy. "What's making you so nervous?" He asked softly, trying to sound trustworthy.

"So we're going to keep things pretty simple for today and just figure out everyone's strengths and weaknesses. Conjuration is a very diverse class so it might be a little hard to establish these things for everybody. We honestly don't even focus specifically on conjuration, this class is just for students who's powers operate similarly to physical abilities, but are more physical, like spell casting. I'll keep things as individualized as possible. For now I think we'll just go around and introduce ourselves, saying our name, how many years we've been here, and our strengths." She smiled at the circle. "I'll start. I'm Lilac, I've been here for 200 years, and I specialize in glamours." She looked at the camper next to her, encouraging them to follow suit.

It was difficult to focus when candles were moving and shaking...especially when hot wax was flying around. She opened an eye when she heard a voice and frowned - clearly one of the students had no control whatsoever. Seemed like a child as well.

"Hey uh...am I in the right class? Seems the kid cannae control a simple breathing exercise, and they in the same class as someone like me?" she asked, both her eyes open now as she looked at the teacher "or am I just more advanced with my control of my talents?"

Fei's eyes shot open once a slightly familiar voice got a little too close for him. It was then that the boy realized what he was doing, as the candles stopped shaking, but remained in the air. The male doll looked at the teacher with a saddened expression.
"...I-I um...I j-just--" Before he had a chance to finish what he was saying, the girl with the former bracelets spoke out, resulting in Fei loosing any reason to actually try to answer the teacher's question seeing as he lowered his head as quickly as he brought it up. This was when Emilia decided to intervene.

"Wow, you must be pretty ignorant towards other people's backgrounds if you can say something like that without being sarcastic." The girl sighed, as she pinched the bridge of her nose, directing her attention to the girl first. "Bit of a superiority complex much? Heh, I bet my brother has far more control over his powers when he doesn't have to worry about any baggage then you do." She put out there, before shrugging her shoulders to show her loss of interest on the girl and looking over at the teacher, leaning towards him so that she could whisper. "Fei...he has some pretty bad anxiety and panic issues, as well as PTSD. He's usually okay after a few days of coming to a new place, but is it okay if he sits this class out and just watches for now?" She asked, now looking at said boy, who had yet to raise his head or say anything else.

Alice laughed at the girl's reply, standing up and looking at her directly. "Baggage? What an excuse. There's a reason they needed to chain me up, and it ain't for me own good. It's nay a superiority complex if you actually are superior" she crossed her arms "but I should nay be surprised, you cannae know that you're talking to the last of the True Seers. So I'll let you off, as long as your brother keeps the candles away from me."

She then moved to sit a little further away from any of the floating candles, her eyes narrowing now as she watched carefully.

Two hundred years? Molly blinked in surprise. Sure, she'd heard that many in the supernatural community were immortal, but this was her first time actually meeting one. The redhead cleared her throat.

"Okay, I guess I'll start. My name is Molly, this is my first year here, and I'm a witch who specializes in shapeshifting." To demonstrate, she turned herself into a fox, then back to normal. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you."

Torok watched quietly from his desk as the other students trickled into the room. Some he recognized most he did not, he didn’t say hi or anything mostly just watched and waited sometimes nodding to the others that smiled at him. Not a very warm greeting, but he really didn’t care too much for it. He did however watch Tempests interaction with Lilac, she seemed dismissive as always it didn’t seem like she changed much on the surface over the last year.

Then Lilac began to speak to the class, going through a brief statement about the class and then onto an introduction of herself motioning for the other students to follow suit. Most of the other introductions from his class mates didn’t interest him too much, that was until a shape shifting witch named Molly spoke up. The girl shifted nearly effortlessly into a fox and back again, “Adorable” the boy spoke.
@shagranoz

Then it seemed like it was his turn he never really enjoyed the spotlight but dealt with it anyway. “My Name is Torok Citadel this is my third year, I’m an Elemental Guardian. What separates me from other elementals is that eventually they can learn all other elements. I will only ever know how to manipulate Stone and nature.” With this the boy reaches into his pocket, pulls out three stones and tosses them into the air. For a moment they hovered above him before floating back down till they were in front of him. Carefully the boy touched each stone, from that touch a small patch of green began to grow and encompasses the stone until a small pink flower sprouted from it. “When I say nature as far as I know I can make and sustain plants, I’m able to talk to some of them in a way, the same goes for animals.” He paused as he continued to rotate the stones slowly, “as for stone its rock, sandstone, bedrock, dirt, granite, marble, limestone, and a few others.” Slowly the three stones separated and seemed to drift effortlessly until resting on a surface nearby three others. Lilac, Molly, and Tempest. Torok stopped talking after that and continued to watch the others.

Mimthoy nodded as Emilia explained the situation. "Of course, whatever he needs to be comfortable.

He turned to Alice as she continued on her rant about superiority. "These classes are sorted by ability type, not skill. We don't have enough counselors or campers to make separation by skill necessary. Furthermore, Lilac believes it is the responsibility of those with more skill and experience to help those with less. Leoh need to stick together. We are only as strong as our weakest link. I will not allow this type of attitude in my class. We're here to learn and help each other, not to fight. Do that on your own time."

Tempest listened to the other campers in her class introduce themselves. She was impressed when one of them, Molly, turned into an otter before their very eyes - shape shifting had always been difficult for her and she usually could only shift partially. It was unusual for such a skill to come so naturally to someone.

She was also impressed with Torok's demonstration. He had been going here as long as she had, but he had always kept his abilities to a minimum. It made her wonder what had changed.

The circle made it's way to her.

"I'm Tempest Rosewood. I've been coming here for three years now. I'm a witch. Some of you may have heard of my family, actually. We are fairly famous among Leoh, after all. I specify in storm magic and hexes, though I'm pretty good with fire, too."

She decided to keep her demonstration simple and dug a candle out of her bag. She held it before her and the wick flared to life, shooting flame up at least a foot high before settling to a normal flicker. She blew out the candle and returned it to her bag before looking to the next person.

Alice frowned when she was told off, and told she was expected to carry these two. "Aye, fine. I'll look out for them" she nodded in the direction of the young twins "I cannae help them much though, my powers are pretty unique after all." She took a calm breath, and turned her frown into a more polite smile. "I'm sorry if I upset yous. Just eager to get studying and learning how to tap into more of my skills."

An elemental and two witches... honestly, Caleb barely even heard their names. He wasn't going to be talking with them much, so why should he need to know them? He stood slowly, before speaking to an empty space somewhere between the wall and the floor.

"Caleb Osiris Martineau. First time here. Also a witch, but I'm better at enchantments and potions than spells."

And since everyone else had gone and done it, he demonstrated it - holding out his sketchbook. Now, alongside the image, a single rune was etched in the corner of the page. The trees were rustling in the wind. Clouds were moving across the sky. Every once in a while, the figures of the hikers would stumble or trip as they walked up the hill.
