"Beep!Beep!Beep!" Maoko awoke to her alarm, her eyes heavy. She groggily trudges into the bathroom, to turn on the shower. She walked back into her room, and put her books away in her bag. She moves rather slowly back into the bathroom, which now has begun to fill with the steam from the hot water. She steps in and lets the heat revitalize her skin. She was really regretting staying up till 2:00 A.M. She was on a solo que grind though. So she didn't really regret it. She stepped out of the shower now feeling more awake then before. She dried off and brushed her teeth before going to her closet. She pulled out one of her uniforms and walked downstairs. Two pieces of toast with some jam, would do the trick. She sat at her breakfast table and stretched her arms behind her , and yawned one last time. She looked at her phone, It was 7:45. Crap! she had to leave in five minutes if she wanted to make it to school on time. She ran back to her room and grabbed her bag, and out the door she went.

She arrived at school, with just enough time to sit down and relax before homeroom. This was an average morning for Maoko Yamazowa. Today, however, was not an average day. Today was the first day Of League practice at Okibata High. She was determined to right the wrong, of last season. This would be the year that she would break out, and prove herself a top tier Mid laner. She had worked all off season to improve and expand her champion pool. The only problem they had. Four returning members and no Jungler. She saw her target walk in homeroom, Sara Kimoto. she walked up to her, "Ah, Kimoto-San, would you be interested in joining our Esports club?" she asked. She didn't know much about Sara, other then she played some games, which ones, well she wasn't sure but she was nice. And Maoko was desperate to find someone to learn the jungle role the team desperately needed. Okibata had one of the premier bot lanes, and a top tier Top laner, the biggest question last year, was herself at mid, and the jungler, who titled every game last year. Maoko smiled at Sara, and handed her a flyer with the information. "I Hope to see you there!" she walked back to her seat and sat down as homeroom started. Maoko texted under the table, "Yukari-san, i gave her the flyer, Idk if she is interested or not. I have first period with her, i'll follow up and ask her then,:)"

"vzzzzt... vzzzzt..." The faint noise of his phone woke Jiao up. He was always a light sleeper and this time he was especially inclined to wake up to the slightest noise. It was the first day of school... he rubbed his eyes and stretched himself. He texted his friend Naia, who attended a diffrent school:
"What classes are you taking?"
No response, he shrugged it off and proceeded to walk into the bathroom, he went into the shower letting the hot water and steam awaken him. The water felt warm and he wanted to stay in there some more but he knew he couldn't, soon his uncle and aunt would wake up and argue over who went into the shower first like they always do. He put on his shampoo and soap and rinsed off then went out to dry himself. He looked in his mirror, making sure to fix any out of place hairs then brushed his teeth. He felt much much better and went into his room to prepare for the day ahead.
He stuffed his bookbag with as much stuff as he could hold. He never liked to leave anything at home when it came to school, he was always worried about his grades and how the teachers looked at him.
"I'll get a good job so the family doesn't have to worry about the future. Mother, just you watch." he muttered. He looked at his bag, filled to capacity then sprayed on his favorite cologne. Everything seemed set, he checked his watch.6:45. He took his bag and went out through the back door, making sure not to wake up his sleeping uncle and aunt then walked to school.
He walked to school, only stopping at Naia's house to say hello and at his favorite restaurant for breakfast, picking up a bagel and coffee. He always liked strong coffee as it helped him stay awake and alert in class. He arrived at 7:00, a good one hour before everyone else should have arrived. Sipping his espresso he walked into homeroom. The teacher greeted him with a smile, all the teachers knew that Jiao lived one hour ahead of everyone.
"Ready for school Jiao?"
"Always ma'am"
"Mind helping me fix up the class before everyone arrives?"
Jiao nodded and the two began to clean the classroom, Jiao wiped the tables, cleaned out papers then threw anything of no use into the trash. There was still half an hour left before everyone arrived. "Might as well." he thought. He opened his bag and pulled out his laptop and logged into League Of Legends and played a quick match. He always picked Janna as his comfort pick. Something about staying in the sidelines and saving allies from near death made him enjoy her. He especially loved it when people acknowledged that he made a big play. His teacher saw him playing League and remembered that the esports club was still active and instantly smiled. She handed him the flyer saying
"Take this, I think you'll love it"
Jiao smiled, and put the flyer into his folder and texted Naia:
"The esports team is still here :)"
"Damn wish this school was as cool lol" Naia responded.
It was time and everyone began walking into class...

Yukari jolted awake in her computer chair as the familiar "alert" sound of Metal Gear rang out from her phone.

A text... Aw, crap. Forgot to set my alarm again. Ah, whatever.

She popped open a can of coffee and checked the message.

<Yukari-san, i gave her the flyer, Idk if she is interested or not. I have first period with her, i'll follow up and ask her then,:)>

Well, that was good news. Hopefully they'd get a jungler and support that could actually do their job this year. Gods knew she could use a decent lane partner. She sent a quick reply back.

<Sounds good. I'll be in the club room at lunch, getting the machines up to date.>

She took a short shower and headed to class at the crack of... 8:30. Rather than try and slip into homeroom during class, Yukari elected to get breakfast first and "arrive" for second period.

Wonder if the teacher will even notice if I sit in back... Bet she won't say anything.

She stopped at a vending machine just outside the school gates, picked a random flavor of instant noodles, and sat down on a bench to eat and contemplate.

Now that I think about it... My homeroom teacher might not be so bad. She agreed to sponsor the club this year, even though we're down a couple members, and it actually seemed like she might hand out those recruitment flyers.

There was only the faint sound of the edge of a bowl being met by a utensil in the otherwise still kitchen. The table, typically a place for a family to dine together, was presently sitting one person: a young girl with striking ivory hair, a headband, and in her school uniform. Her hands were placed on the edge of the bowl which she lifted to her lips and gingerly sipped from. This particular scene was not unusual. Breakfast at the Kimoto house was a solo affair. Dinner wasn't much better. Lunch also had a habit of being consumed alone even though the chatter of other students helped drown out the sound of a lunchbox opening and being put away. It was practically a routine at this point, breakfast. Wake up before the sun came up, usually around five in the morning, properly bathe and wash up, crack an egg and fry it, serve over rice and natto and add the miso soup. By the time the breakfast was prepared and eaten, there was still enough time to make a lunch for school.

On an average day, Sara Kimoto was out of the house and on the train to school with enough time to spare. While students typically started to arrive around eight, Sara could often be found on school grounds as early as seven thirty; though at that time she didn't make her way to her home room but rather sat on the school grounds in a little garden area off to the side. The kind of area typically reserved for confessions of affection as the area was out of view from the entrance and main grounds and typically only visible from the ground or the roof. Sara didn't do anything in the garden other than sit and let the breeze lightly brush her hair. It was peaceful, though when it rained she had nowhere to go other than under an awning which was far less peaceful.

Sara made her way inside the school proper with around ten minutes to spare which was plenty of time to go to her shoe locker and up the single flight of stairs to her classroom. Rarely was Sara the first one inside the class but even when she would say good morning to those who were already inside she often didn't get much in the way of a response. Still, it was customary to greet one's classmates, wasn't it? Sara settled into her seat, middle of the first row right next to a window, and placed her head down.

Her eyes blinked when she was addressed and she only managed to make out a select few words. "Joining...club...hope...there..." Sara blinked once more without saying anything before the speaker left. "Yamazowa-san?" That's who it was, right? Sara knew the names of her classmates due to her being chosen as class representative. That had to have been her. Maoko Yamazawa.

Sara looked down at the flyer on her desk. "Esports? Eh-sports? Es-ports?" The words on the flyer confused her, but she figured she would have a chance to ask about them later. After all, where was the harm in at least going to the club room for the sake of curiosity. Though she was confused by what Esports was, once class started properly - and after she had led the class in rising and bowing for the arrival of their teacher - Sara sank back into her seat and rested her head on her desk as she did day after day.

Homeroom ended and Maoko waited for Sera, so they could walk to our first period together, they had never done that before, but she wanted her to join, she seemed really up beat and we could use that positive spirit. "Kimoto-san, wait up walk with me, I wanted to ask if you had thought about joining our club, i really hope you do, if you want go to club room 2-G at lunch, I'll be there," she smiled as she walked down the halls with the usually upbeat girl. Maoko entered the classroom and sat down, for her math class.

Overall, the first half of her day was rather boring, especially math, she hated the subject, her teacher hated that she turned every problem into a word problem about league. But it really did help her solve it. The teacher often scolded her, for making problems harder and more complex just to fit it into her method of thinking, they would always wonder why she could only thing about some stupid game. most people thought that of her, but that just fueled her fire, her drive for success on the rift.

Finally it was lunch time, Maoko didn't usually eat a full lunch, instead just having a small snack bar, and a larger dinner. She walked to the game room, snack bar in hand , and opened the door. There she saw Yukari, starting to update the computers, "Hiya, Yukari Senpai, I came to help , Haha," i had a huge smile on my face, i went over to the opposite side of the room and started the computer updates, before the league ones. "Y-Yukari Senpai, I heard Jiao might be coming back this year, Ito too. Do you think we will do better this year? I asked as i started to calibrate designated computer, it had been a while since i had used this mouse, I bought it and donated it to the school, it was top of the line, and i wanted the club i love so much to have it.
