Name: Xoxi Violetta Slevryn

Freak Label: Anomaly

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Faction: Freak (Not actually a Freak, but fits in well with them due to her lack of arms. She's really an Epic)

Ability: Psychic fists! Xoxi is able to conjure and control up to two psychic hands at will, and each hand would act the same as any old appendage, but it comes with the catch that Xoxi is unable to feel any pain that these hands would have to experience while still being able to feel most sensations (she struggles to differentiate textures, weight, and temperature unless it's an extreme difference). Both hands can vary in size, with it being the size of an average human hand or increasing to around double that size, should she wish for that.

"Mutation": Somewhat tying into her past, Xoxi has permanently lost her arms due to an... unknown disease, and any attempts to give a suitable replacement to her arms via surgical attachment or prosthetics will result in the replacement being completely useless. Effectively, Xoxi is unable to have arms, but she copes with it because she has her cool ghost hands to use instead, so it isn't so bad.

Weakness: Fire. If Xoxi is around fire, she'll go into a panic and lose all connection to her abilities, which makes the situation a bit more problematic as she has no arms to extinguish the flame. Aside from that, there's not a ton that can stop her psychic abilities.

Personality: Xoxi acts rather blasphemous to other's beliefs, hashing them as their own ideology of what they simply choose to believe in, and while she doesn't care about whaat you are, be it a Freak, Epic, or just a nobody, she'll accuse you of being an idiot when you worship a High over all else. Her ultimate goal in life isn't to steal the power of a High, or anything of the sort, but it is to ascend to the position of a High and really see if they're an urban legend or reality.

Aside from that, Xoxi is an incredibly laid back individual, preferring being cold to warm, and she doesn't mind playing a round of video games using her psychic hands. That being said, she's deathly afraid of fire, and she will refuse to go within 10 feet of any flame that isn't small and controlled (stoves don't bother her, but campfires do).

Appearance: Standing at 5'1", boasting nothing but a flat chest, no arms, and a large burn scar down the side of her body, Xoxi is a rather unremarkable specimen. She likes to wear more comfortable clothes and commonly will be seen wearing a purple hoodie and any old set of pants she can find that belong to her.

When she's out and about being Anomaly, however, she'll put a black leather jacket over her hoodie for some added protection, and she'll carry a bandana around just in case she has to hide her identity. Surprisingly, this works out more often than you would think.

Background: Born to a broken household a few towns away from Epic City, Xoxi's life wasn't super interesting aside from the fact that her parents divorced when she was young. In the divorce, her father got custody of her and cared for her like she was the only thing that mattered, and while he couldn't afford a ton of luxuries due to his unfortunate employment circumstances, the two managed to get by in their small apartment on a fair budget, although life got considerably harder when Xoxi was identified with the unknown disease that took her arms away in a mass of rotted flesh and such (it only affected her arms, interestingly).

Now on a smaller budget, Xoxi's father took her out of school in order to help her cope with the loss of her arms, which she didn't really care that she lost as long as she was with her dad. The two attempted many times to get a suitable prosthetic from, but every attempt failed as the prosthetic limbs were unable to be secured without causing some other form of difficulty to Xoxi, including having a set stiffen out to the her sides 24/7, another set completely falling apart as soon as they left the building, and various other ways that the sets fell apart.

When Xoxi was 16, a fire broke out in her apartment complex, and it spread fast to the point where her dad and her were quickly in grave danger. While her dad's life was claimed by the burning, Xoxi was saved due to a voice in her head telling her that she could get out if "she could see the hands that guided her." It was then that Xoxi discovered her psychic abilities, using the ghostly hands in front of her to break down the door and get out of the complex. The fire claimed a bit of her body, as a large scar was etched into her skin that night, but she was alive.

After being admitted into Epic City's hospital burn ward (the town she lived in before didn't really have a hospital able to treat her wounds), the doctors that tended to her burns were dumbfounded that this double amputee managed to survive the fire despite having no arms, dubbing her survival as an anomaly of unknown proportions. She shrugged it off, knowing that she could do marvelous things with her mind fists, but that day has given her a permanent resentment of fire.

She left the hospital's care soon after, in search of a new place to call home. She knew that efforts of adoption in this city were slim if you weren't a kid, and she was at a further disadvantage than some with her lack of arms. Eventually, she encountered another Freak, who assumed she was something like him (though less horrific) due to her lack of arms, and he asked her what she went by. The first word that came to her mind when she had to tell him was "anomaly", so she took up the name in order to protect who she truly was. From that day forward, the Freak that asked her identity would become her best friend, and he showed her where people like them were able to fit in.

Xoxi currently resides in Undertown as Anomaly, alongside the comfort of her best friend Pudding (the only way to describe this guy was that he was an anthropomorphic pile of sludge), and she has her dream of ascending to the position of a High, although she doesn't know if she'll ever amount to that.

Epic Identity: The Giant

Age: 28

Faction: Epic, neutral

Ability: Super size. In giant form, Steve stands a solid 20 meters tall. With everything else in proportion. This comes with being a lot stronger and somewhat slower than the averge human. His skin is proportionally thicker so it's harder to pierce, but not impenetrable.

Weakness: Sitting (yes really): when both of his legs have at least a 90 degree angle at both the knee and the hip, he shrinks to a normal human size of 1,80 meters. He only stays small while he remains in this position. It's also his only way to control his size. So if he doesn't squat or sit or crouch, he is automatialy giant.

Personality: On the surface, Steve has a mild personality. He is calm, rational and empathic. But underneath he is always feeling uneasy. Mainly because he feels disabled, while he is actually very able. He feels that being his true self could cause harm to others and would make him unwanted. When he sees strong men showing of their manlyness and competing, he wants to stand up and show them he is even bigger and stronger. But he doesn't. Because that would be a bad thing to do.

Appearance: Most noticable about steve is the wheelchair he uses to move around while remaining seated. He only gets out when he does want to turn giant, which is rarely. Next to that, Steve is a slender white guy with messy brown hair and any dark monocolor shirt. His dark blue pants are also a little quirky: Very baggy and made from stretch material. It took him a while to find something that would grow with him to cover his butt and genitals. While giant they function as his boxershort. Although a little tight at that size, it's the only clothing that is not destroyed when he grows. (The Naked Giant is now a thing of the past, as far as the genital area is concerned. Can you imagine people calling names to a guy that big?)

Background: Leaving fetal position, Steve started growing as he was being born, killing his mother in the process. The weeks after were very hard for everybody, as they had a giant baby who has covered in pieces of his mother's dead body, who wanted to be fed, but was at te same time, quite dangerous to be around. Going hungry, Steve ate the remains of his mother. After three weeks they figured out what it was that made him shrink every now and then. It was then they decided to tie him to a chair for the rest of his life. His father was heavily traumatised and didn't want to hear of Steve's ambition to walk. Once steve reached his teenage years, this was the cause of a lot of arguments. Also, the tight ropes were now replaced by locked steel mechanisms to which only his father held the key. The key which his father had molten into a medallion with a picture of Steve's mother, which he had given to him, to hopefully chain him emotionally as well. (Rumor has it, that Steve's dad secretly turned to the kryptonites for advice) Steve was indeed very chained to his wheelchair, but had learned to sleep like that. Also, the chair had another mechanism which helped him go to the bathroom without too much trouble.
In highschool Steve was the nerdy wheelchair guy without much friends. But as his longing for freedom grew he eventually made friends with an epic guy that could melt steel beams. This guy would later be known as Jet Fuel.
They went out to an open field and melted Steve's chains. Steve tried to stand up but had never used his legs before so he fell flat on his face. He grew though. After a year of training intensively, Steve was finally able to stand and walk. His dad feared him, but they found a way to deal with each other. For a lot of practical purposes, Steve still uses his wheelchair to -ironically- be able to participate in normal life. His giant size hinders entrance to most places, is not conveniant for socialization, plus: it requires him to eat more than he can afford. He had some rough years, living in the sewers with the freaks for a while, spending some time at his dad's place feeling unwanted, and at his friend Jet's parents place. But now, the dust has settled and he lives in an appartment in a nice neighbourhood, together with his friend Jet Fuel.

Name: Leonard Birch (But nobody knows)

Freak Label: Spiderhead / Fate Spider

Age: 30

Faction: Freak

Ability: Spiderhead has two juices he can inject when biting: 1) superhealing juice, gives the bitten person the effect of wolverines almost instant healing ability for about ten minutes. Cures anything except for death.
2) supervenom, does the opposite of superhealing and kills you within ten minutes as you find that all harm that ever befell you and that already healed, comes back tenfold. (imagine that papercut you had on your finger a few days ago and that has already healed, coming back and growing until your finger falls off)
These blessing and curse are heavily intertwined as they affect his own health. When spiderhead kills somebody, he gains the superhealing ability himself. It's stored on himself until he decides to heal somebody. When he heals somebody without having the charge gained from killing anyone, he has to kill someone within 24 hours or die himself.

Mutation: instead of a normal human head, Spiderhead has the giant head of a spider, about three times the size of a normal human head. This gives him Pincers which he can use to bite people and to break things. Spiderhead has normal human intelligence, but has trouble speaking normally, because he lacks a human mouth. He can talk, but it always sounds sort of raspy.

Weakness: Armor, his pincers are strong but can't pierce through metal armor. Also, if you would somehow cut of his pincers, he would lose his power unless he has one healing charge stored, then they will regrow.

Personality: Quiet, contemplative, accomodating. Initially mild natured, but hardened due to the nature of his ability and people who want to use him for their own gain.

Appearance: Spiderhead wears a black blouse (as no shirt would fit over his head), black skinny jeans and Big brown boots that don't match the rest of his outfit. He wears a necklace with a yin-yang symbol. And ofcourse, he has a big spider head.

Background: imaginably, spiderhead doesn't have an easy time socializing. He lives underground with the rest of the freaks. He claims to have met the high venom in person and feels highly related to her. People from both under and upperground seek out the help of spiderhead for his healing ability. He wants to help people, but every healing comes at the price of a death, so that has to be provided. Also spiderhead often finds himself caught up in the plans of freaks who are up to no good and cause mayhem upperground. He tries to be as good a person as his situation allows him to. But it's a very shadey area. He tells himself that for every life he takes, he can save someone.

Name: Robert Malloy

Epic Identity: Jet Fuel

Age: 27

Faction: Epic, Hero

Ability: Melting! With his mind, he can melt anything within a range of 10 meters, that he concentrates on, as long as he can see it or touch it. (including steel beams) This could be a specific thing, or things in a specific area. Living and nonliving matter. In a matter of seconds he can melt off your ear. Alternatively, if he takes half a minute, he can melt an entire person. Things that he melts, become warmer but not hot. Unmeltable things (according to science) turn out to melt after all! He even claims he can melt abstract concepts. But so far no proof has been provided.

Weakness: Ironically, the only thing he hasn't been able to melt so far, is ice (frozen water specifically). If a subject he wants to melt is in contact with ice, it doesn't work. If one would press an icecube to his neck, Jet Fuel wouldn't be able to harm him. If one would press an icecube on Jet Fuel's neck, the hero wouldn't be able to use his power at all.

Personality: With fairly matching suits, come somwhat matching personalities. Think spiderman homecoming for enthousiastic end eager to be a hero. But older and beaten with experience, so with more sarcastic remarks. With all the wisecracking, you wouldn't notice right away, but Robert/Jet Fuel has his heart in the right place, and wants to do the right thing. Intention isn't everything though. Maybe it's the ADHD that helps him fucking things up.

Appearance: Red Spandex suit, that still needs something. Suit details and logo sketches are lying all around his room. When not being a superhero, Robert wears his basic blue jeans, brown shoes and brown jacket. His face is small and long with short blonde hair. His body toned but nothing impressive. He stands about 1,70 meters.


Background: Robert shares an apartment with Steve. They have been friends since highschool and Robert freed Steve from the wheelchair of smallness. After highschool, they went to university together. In this time Robert developed his alter ego: Meltman. This was later changed to Jet Fuel. After university he pursued the hero path even more. He became an active member of VEST (Volunteer Emergency Service Tech) and has been trying to become famous ever since. At the same time he strives for classic hero values, like courage, honesty, justice, honor etc. etc. His dream is to fight alongside the major heroes of Epic City.

Name: Richard Masters

Alias: Antidote

Age: 48

Faction: Normal, Kryponite.

Personality: Brooding, clever, vengeful.

Appearance: Antidote wears a long brown coat that go with brown boots and a brown cowboy hat. Underneat he wears a white shirt and black pants. His face is covered by a black scarf over his nose and mouth, and sunglasses, to hide his identity. Those who look more closely can find hints of the things that he is carrying with him. Maybe a rope end that dangles just below his coat. A cinnamon stick tucked to the band of his hat. The outline of something square, that he must carry in his inside pocket. Was that a creature that just popped it's head above his collar?

Would he open his coat for you, you would find on the inside, there are many, many different objects. some mundane like a feather, some strange looking unidentifiable objects.

Background: Richard Masters has sworn to take back manhattan from the High's and the epics. His search is for the highs and to find out their weaknesses. And then kill them. His method is finding out weaknesses of epics and using them against them. He is very fond of blackmailing epics and freaks to do his bidding. To figure out a weakness, he often stalks an epic and tries to use different objects to see what effect they have. Also observing their behavior might give away clues. You can imagine this is a very intensive process. But he has many helpers. And helpers with specific powers, make it a lot easier to find out weaknesses.
He works together with other kryptonites, but prefers to work alone, if he can't be in charge. In his company you find a freak the size of a spoon. It is unclear why he accompanies Antidote and what his powers are besides being small.

Name: Ace Cassidy (Self Given Name, Real Name Unknown)

Freak Label: Ace

Age: 19

Faction: Freak

Ability: Ace fingerbangs people, literally. He points his fingers at targets and glowing energy bullets fire out of his fingertips with pinpoint accuracy. That's pretty much the extent of his powers, however he's gotten pretty good with his "guns" being able to shoot one bullet then fire another bullet at the first one to aim it in a different direction, shoot moving targets while driving a motorcycle, and even shoot a man's gun out of his hand before he can even fire.

Mutation: His fingertips are gun barrels, as where there would normally be a fingertip there's just a hole for bullets to fire out of. His index and middle figers are very stiff and can't bend, but the other fingers and thumbs are fine. If you look inside it just looks like a gun barrel with no bullet inside, until Ace fires. Then a glowing blue bullet comes out and he blows your brains out for looking in his fingertips.

Weakness: If Ace gets touched by nylon rope he can't fire his guns, it has to be nylon in the form of rope specifically too. He's not gonna be disabled by a lady in stockings.

Personality: Ace just wants to be a cowboy, acts like a stereotypical cowboy in almost all situations. Kind of an asshole cowboy though, more like a bandit really, except for his need to help out his fellow freaks. If you're an Epic or normie he's gonna treat you like shit for the most part until he gets to know you. Freaks like himself though, he get's along with them off the bat, treatin them to a drink and maybe playing a game of horseshoes.

He's not completely old fashioned though, he enjoys modern conveniences such as motorcycles and electronic devices. He just adds a little western flair to everything he does.

Appearance: Ace's normal clothes and his costume are one in the same, a dark grey duster and black cowboy hat along with black cowboy boots and black jeans. He is about 5'5, has silver hair, and blue eyes. Ace is kinda pale because most of his skin is covered at all times. His most distinguishing characteristic is the scar over his right eye, looks like he got sliced with a blade and it barely missed the actual eyeball.

Background: It was a hot summer day in Texas when a 18 year old boy woke up in the middle of a field tied up and next to a jet black motorcycle with the keys left in. He had on a white t-shirt and some black jeans, nothing to tell him who he was or where he was from. After about half an hour of struggling to get himself free he succeeded and stood up to face the only other thing around. He hopped on the motorcycle and rode it like a natural, all the way to the nearest town. As he pulled up to a local tavern full of people dressed funny he was asked where he learned to ride at such a young age by an old coot with greying hair. The kid shrugged.

"I don't know partner, just hopped on the ol horse and rode off into the sunset." The old man laughed and complimented the kid. "Well wherever you learned, you're a real natural ace." The kid nodded. Ace was a good name. He reached out for a handshake when suddenly the old man staggered back with a disgusted look on his face. "What in the hell is wrong with yer fucking hands!?" Ace looked at his hands and noticed his fingertips were certainly different from the old man's, his had holes in em. Ace shrugged as the old man suddenly got in real close to him. "Listen here kid, we don't take kindly to Freaks around these parts. So I suggest you skedaddle on out of here before I rough you up real good."

Ace narrowed his eyes as the old man was way too close. "I don't know who you think you are buddy, but I suggest you back off before I make you back off!" He poked the man in the chest hard when suddenly a gunshot was heard throughout the tavern. Ace's pointer finger was smoking and there was a hole in the old man's chest. The room was silent as Ace got up and started going through the old man's pockets. A minute later and he had put on the old man's hat, boots, duster, and he had taken his wallet. The guy's name was Cassidy. "Well that's a fine name you got there. Don't seem like you need it anymore unfortunately, so I'll just take it off your hands." Ace laughed as he said this and walked out of the tavern with a vicious grin.

He looked at a drunk man hanging around outside the tavern and asked them a question. "Where are Freaks treated the worst in this lawless wasteland?" After the man rambled on for a bit about Epics, Freaks, and The High, he mentioned the name Epic City. So that's where Ace set off towards, to bring law and order to a town of Freaks and Epics.

Name: Sara Oswold

Epic Identity: Lucky

Age: 18

Faction: Epic Antihero

Ability: Enhanced reflexes and eyesight. Also is unable to miss a shot when shooting an arrow from a bow. If the target is unreachable through normal means the arrow disappears from reality, reappearing directly in front of the target.

Detriment:
The arrow aims at whatever Lucky is willing it to, but if she isn't careful it can be sidetracked. She can be attempting to wound or trap, and instead kill if she's not careful.

Weakness: Hyperventilating

Personality: Lucky has an interesting take on the world, preferring to distance herself from everyone and rely on only herself. Somewhat cocky, but ultimately scared of her powers and what they can do unchecked, Lucky comes off differently depending on who, or what, she's interacting with.

Lucky isn't against killing a killer, and toying with them to suit her needs.

Furthermore, she cannot remember faces, instead relying on voices and powers to remember people.

Appearance: Lucky is always in costume, which consists of what appears to be a black ninja outfit. Custom gloves protect her hands and offer superior grip, boots do the same for her feet, and the rest offers better resistance to impacts.

To her face all one can see are her eyes, which lack pupils due to her powers, and instead appear fully white. Through some miracle she can still see, but everything has an ethereal look to her.

Underneath the clothing is a petite young woman with Raven black hair in a pixie cut, and markings of arrows along her ribs, also from when her powers developed. She is very nearly flat chested, a B at best, with sightly wider hips than normal.

Background: Sara was a normal kid, considering she grew up in Epic City. Never wanting a part in that mess of Heroes and Villains and Freaks she focused on her love for archery, participating in competitions whenever she was able to.

She wasn't very good at anything else, however, and struggled with simple things like riding a bike.

During her last competition she was struggling. Her contender for first place was a crack shooter, almost always landing the bullseye with perfect form. And Sara wanted to win so badly that it hurt.

Unfortunately for her, this is when her powers erupted within her, her arrow disappearing in a flash of blue light. It reappeared instantaneously, impaling her competitor's heart.

Horrified at what had happened, Sara endured a mental breakdown, unable to accept the truth.

Over the last few months she's become fierce, attempting to use her abilities to save people in atonement for what she did.

Name: Landen Keen

Epic Identity: Gilgamesh

Age: 26

Faction: Epic\Villain

Ability: He has an incredible healing ability that allows him to withstand almost any wound. While nowhere near immortal, he uses it more for image and reputation than in actual combat. This causes him to need to think rationally and calmly about every action he takes against other powered individuals.

Weakness: The weakness that gets rid of his is pure silver. Being near it does nothing to him at all, but as soon as he touches it he loses his powers immediatly. A big problem is that he doesnt feel it when he loses his powers, so he has to just assume he's okay. While he does heal at a rapid rate, that does not stop blood loss. So just doing a lot of damage will kill him, also he does not heal from concussions and the such.

Personality: A majority of the time he is calm and collected, but when a plan goes horribly wrong or he becomes extremely frustrated he become rash and emotional. Seeing as he is incredibly weak compared to most of the other powered individuals this will often backfire on him. His only true weapon is the preparation and thought he puts into every encounter and movement his enemy makes.

Appearance: He often wears a business suit, not caring to put to much effort into his "villain" outfit. The only flair he puts into his outfit is a gold mask he wears, so his "business" partners do not know who he is. He is about 5'11" and 170 lbs. With an athletic frame from working out every day he is a formidable fighter compared to normal humans.

Background: Landen had an average childhood in an average town with an average family. It was all so average and boring, and he hated it. As a child he would dream about saving the world, but his parents would tell him to think realistically. In school he wanted to join sports, but his parents told him he wasn't cut out for it and should just focus on academics. When choosing a college they said to aim low to make sure he gets in. He couldn't take it, the boredom, the normality. He was done. He left college in middle of his sophomore year, and fell in with a bad crowd. He joined a gang and ran with them for a while. After being with them for a few months he got shot in a drive by, where he thought he had died. Passing out from blood loss he later woke when the police were investigating the scene.
He managed to sneak out, and was confused to find himself completely fine. Realizing he must be one of the epics he decided to use his new found powers. Using this new power to intimidate the other members he has quickly grew to lead the gang and take over the city he was in. He then used the wealth he gained from his "side activities" to invest into more legitimate operations. Finally he purchased a failing PMC(private military
company) and converted it into his own personal military. Hiring many of the members of his gang he now had a legitimate reason to purchase military supplies on the international market. With a secure power base and a growing crime empire, he decided he wanted to take some risks. He wanted to test his might against those that weren't bribe able, those that wouldn't get scared and run away, people that in an even playing field would utterly destroy him. Who said he would play fair.

Name: Jason Ryker

Alias: "Hijack"

Age: 24

Faction: Normal, Kryptonites

Personality: Jason is a cold, calculated fighter for his cause. However, most of all, he hates Epics. Any chance he gets presented with to take one out or take the fight to them, he'll be on the front lines. Although, he much prefers a more... tactical approach. In a world of gods among mortals, how does a non-believer fight the unnatural. It takes time, patience. Bombs and and a hail of bullets will do nothing against an impenetrable wall. It takes a systematic demolition. The right trap, the single squeeze of a sniper rifle, the opportune moment to slide the knife. This is Jason's mantra. He doesn't like talking about why he hates Epics, not until his respect has been earned. He can be seen to have a one-track mind, usually only wanting to discuss a mission and nothing but that mission. He's distant from what people would call "normal society" and that makes him hard to get along with. He doesn't care. He's not there to make friends, he's there to get revenge.

Appearance: Jason is 6' 2", lean and muscular. He's not stupidly overbuff, but he likes to keep athletic, nimble and strong. He has to be if he has any chance of standing up to Epics. He's usually wearing hoodies, ripped jeans and graphic design tees when he's not fighting for the Kryptonites as "Hijack". However, his attire quickly changes when he's on a mission. He switches to black, military gear. Sort of like SWAT gear, but instead of the blocky white logo that the SWAT would have, he has opted for a crimson red K symbol, similar to that of the Anarchy symbol design. The K is especially prevalent on his ballistic face mask. The K takes up the center of the mask, which is put on over his balaclava. He uses black paint around the parts of his eyes that would be showing.

Background: Jason was relatively happy before he begun his own crusade upon the Epics. It was relatively normal too. There was only one person he cared for above all others, and that was his sister. He did everything for her. Their parents weren't around much, if at all. It was up to Jason to be the adult most of the time. Even at school, when he would be defending her from bullies. Said protection would normally end up in physical altercations. When it came to high school, Jason took care of himself. He took up boxing one year, then MMA the next. Whatever would help him protect his sister.

However, there was one thing that Jason could not protect her from. Epics. A fight had broke out between two Epics, and it almost leveled a whole street. Chaos broke out all around the "Supers". Turns out, two kids were just trying to walk home on that street. In the ensuing destruction, Jason grabbed his sister's hand and then ran as fast as he could. Maybe, if he had ran faster, or started running sooner, things would be different. They had almost made it, but soon he couldn't feel his sister's grip anymore. He turned around, only to see a pile of rubble and a limp, lifeless arm laying under it. She was crushed instantly.

His only real family, caught in the crossfire of two Epics who treated the people around them as less than an afterthought. That was when the switch was flipped. He didn't go home that day. He sought for the only people that wanted to truly do something about the Epics. The Kryptonites. When he finally found how to meet them, he took the first opportunity and jumped. He pleaded... begged them to let him join their cause. They saw something in him.
