@Penny
I reckon it's only a matter of time before DC Comics unleashes other superheroes in its corporate quest to defend the alien invaders.

I've never really been a comic book girl. Like manga and anime it remains a mystery to me.

@Penny It's not for everyone. If I wasn't introduced to both really young I probably wouldn't be either.

DC has a lot of aliens in it. There is a married couple in the DC universe that are two members of the New Gods aka literal actual aliens who come to Earth trying to live a normal non warrior non super life and I imagine the author of the article hearing this would probably be none too pleased that DC supports literal illegal aliens.

Portugal accepted some refugees in front a statue of a Knight holding the head of a moor. Sad!

The only comic I've ever really read and enjoyed was a Star Wars one about some ancient Jedi and that was probably because I was at an age where the romance plot made me all tingly ;)

Receiving people fleeing religiously motivated violence in front of a monument to religiously motivated violence does seem a little unfortunate. Still, I'm glad Portugal is willing to give refugees a home in spite of the pressure bought to bear by reactionary elements.

Well it was the Moors that brought the violence back then, but that's still an awkward and unfortunate situation for the people around the monument that referenced religious violence.

@POOHEAD189 The world is imperfect I guess. I'm just glad the refugees are safe.

Man it's not like the Crusades only took their name after many centuries of much translation after a name that was wrongly applied because the conflict was pertinent to a force conquering people, mass murdering various ethnic groups, doing forced conversion, selling millions to slavery, and bringing religiously motivated violence first. It's not like there was an invasion of the middle east from the south.

Agreed. Glad they're alright.

Also apparently the Trump administration said they are not backing out of the Paris Agreement now. I don't know what Trump himself has said about this, but that's on my news feed at least.

If we ever actually get one, it would be a great decision. Super great. Greater than any greatness you have ever seen.

In all seriousness, it would be a great decision from my viewpoint. Border walls work, fam.

White House has denied any such claim. Who knows tho, Trump seems to be backing off on some (or a lot, depending on perspective) things so we'll see. I have a hard time believing anything from either side until said event actually happens.
