Name: Felicia Astrid
Aliases: Flick; it's a nickname she's more comfortable going by than her given name when around people she's grown to be close with.

Birthday: October 31st, 1971
Ethnicity: German-American
Birth Place: Silver Falls, Washington
Residence: Gender: Female
Major/Minor: N/A; Currently pursuing a Major in Journalism and Minor in Rhetorical Studies
Occupation: Volunteer lead newspaper editor for the local high school. Actual salary income comes from working as a convenience store clerk.
Languages: Fluent in English, and somewhat learned in German but only has a rough understanding of the language.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 124 pounds
Build: Fairly Fit
Eyes: Light Blue
Hair: Dark Brown
Skin Tone: Pale
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: A few basic ear piercings, but nothing flashy. She also has a tattoo of an ouroboros looping around her left wrist.
Personal Style: Felicia's style is rather varied. Commonly, she'll dress in a leather jacket with jeans, going for somewhat of a punk aesthetic, but she's also been known to dress a lot more feminine in blouses and skirts as well. It all really depends on her mood and what exactly she's going to be doing that day. She'll generally dress in darker colors, but white isn't out of the question if she thinks it'll match well with the rest of her clothes. Ultimately however, she favors dressing comfortably rather than fashionably, and she doesn't follow most fashion trends.
Approachable * Distant * Determined * Stubborn * Understanding * Blunt
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Personality: First impressions of Felicia tend to be the same, with people noting how she seems approachable, friendly, and easy to get along with, though if not brutally honest at times to the point of being blunt. However, most people never seem to get farther than that with her, or really, she doesn't let people any closer if she can help it. She's actually rather distant and closed-off, which others may notice once they see past her facade. It's a defensive-mechanism for her, one that she's fully aware of and hardly makes an effort to overcome, as it's the only way she knows to emotionally protect herself. Though that can partially be blamed on her natural stubborness as well, as she doesn't like change and will continuously try to do things her way.
On the flip side, she's an incredibly determined person and isn't one to ever give up, and even in an unwinnable situation she's reluctant to just cut her losses, as she believes there's always a way to solve a problem, and that it's always possible to find that secret third option when given only two to choose from. Though that isn't to say that she'll just run straight into danger, as she's smart enough to try to avoid negative situations in the first place. Hence, her distant nature.
Anyone who manages to get past her walls however will find that there's a lot going on with her. Once she gets close to and/or trusts someone, she opens up surprisingly easily. Curious and passionate about the things she loves, she can talk for awhile about not only her own hobbies but also about others' as well, as she'll want to learn about the person she's put her trust in. She's also quite an understanding and empathetic person, and will want to help anyone who's in trouble. Funnily enough, this can clash with her stubborn nature if she feels any empathy for someone she dislikes, and can cause her to reevaluate not only the situation but her own self as well.
Habits: She tends to smoke when stressed. She'll also often mutter under her breath when trying to sort her thoughts out.
Hobbies: Writing, reading, softball, and biking.
Fears:- Vulnerability- She has a hard time handling any situation where she can't just remove herself or get away from a negative subject or environment. If simply shutting down isn't an option, she'll be very visibly uncomfortable. The severity of the reaction of course varies with the extremity of the situation.
- Body Horror- Straight forward enough, she is incredibly scared of all forms of body horror.
- Solitude- She hates being alone. The knowledge that other people are in the same general area as her is usually enough for her to stay calm, but the thought of being truly alone makes her rather uneasy.

Life Before the Murder: Felicia was born and raised in Silver Falls, and for the most part never left the town throughout her younger years, aside from a field trip here and there that took her outside of the town's clutches. It could be said that she had a fairly normal childhood: she had two parents that stayed together in their marriage (which was starting to become a rarity these days), a younger sibling who annoyed her but was otherwise harmless, and her family was comfortably middle-class. She did well enough in school, and the only trouble she ever got in was for typical teenage rebellious stuff. She even went camping a few times, with her family and during school trips.
Yet if you ever asked Felicia about it, she'd tell you that it was hell. Something about the town was just,
off. It was impossible to put her finger on it, as the townspeople were pleasant enough and nothing directly supernatural ever actually happened (as far as she knew, at least), but there was still very much a sense of something being
wrong that no one would ever really point out. Perhaps it was because of her own misfortunes with the town that she could tell that there was something going on, even if she couldn't tell exactly what it was. See, Felicia learned early on in her life that she was, for lack of any better way to describe it, a rather unlucky person. Things weren't just neccesarily always bad for her, but if something was ever left up to chance and it could inconvenience her, then it would likely not turn out in her favor. Under normal circumstances, just like any other sane person, she would have just brushed it off, but other kids during elementary and middle school would perpetuate rumors that she was cursed, and so some of the more curious would actually try to test it out. From something as mundane as challenging her to games of chance that she never won, to messing with a classroom desk and watching her just happen to sit in the exact one that had its screws removed and thus fall apart, all manners of "tests" were conducted by her peers that destroyed her trust in others. It made her wary of everything around her for a time, enforcing the idea that she had to be able to react fast to anything that might happen to her. It even caused her to get into a few fights, where she found out that she was actually kind of scrappy and could handle herself in a brawl, not to say she won too many of the fights though. She hated all of it, and she blamed not just the town, but her birthday for it as well. Being born on the day of Halloween just solidified the idea that she might actually be cursed after all; it was ammo that the other students used, at least.
High school was a different story. Pre-teens matured into teenagers, and so jokes about curses became less of the norm, and even her bad luck seemed to taper off a bit, though in the back of her mind she still felt that it was there. Nonetheless, she still wanted to leave the town, having blamed all of her misfortune on Silver Falls itself despite not really having a definite reason to. She just felt that if she left, everything would be better, though she didn't get why she thought that way. Her want for escapism ended up bringing her into the worlds of many different books, which in turn brought her to her hobby of writing. She thrived in English and Literature classes, and she joined an after-school writing club as well during one year. A friend she gained from there ended up getting her to join the softball team as well, which she was glad for due to the physical activity she got out of it, even if she accidentally caused a few injuries and broken windows due to fly balls that honestly seemed out of her control at times.
When all was said and done however, she got the hell out of Silver Falls the moment she graduated, and tried to move in as roommates with a friend at a nearby city for a year. She had a home, a job, and was getting ready for college, and somehow not a single unlucky incident occured. Part of her was relieved that her seemingly endless bad luck streak was finally over, but at the same time...had it really been Silver Falls that had been causing it? It couldn't possibly be true after all, but the thought haunted her.
Well, she was about to find out. Money became tight real fast, and she couldn't take the specific classes she needed for her Major as she didn't currently qualify for financial aid. However, she was told that with some volunteer work in the specific field she was trying to qualify for, she could eventually recieve the aid she was asking for. Thing was, she didn't exactly know how she was supposed to do that, but after telling her parents back home about it, she received a phone call from them a couple days later with the answer she needed. Volunteering as a school newspaper editor seemed like the perfect option, she was told, yet there was a catch: her old school back in Silver Falls was the one offering this position, in order to help her out. Obviously she didn't want to go back, but she knew this would likely be her only chance if she wanted to take the classes she needed.
And so now, she's back in Silver Falls, and before long a body turns up dead. Half of her just wants to get the hell out of the damned town for good while she still has the chance to do so, but the more morbid half wants answers. She always knew something was wrong with this helltown, and now it was out in the open that something terrible was going on. She doesn't believe it's just a coincidence that somebody died around the time she came back either. Something was leading up to this, she can feel it, and she wants to find out what's been going on with Silver Falls once and for all.
History with Lucy Taylor: Being two years older than Lucy Taylor, Felicia never got to know the late Homecoming Queen well. The two were from entirely different worlds, or less dramatically, from different social statuses. She didn't hate her, if anything the two were indifferent about each other. In the end, the most she ever learned about the girl was when the school paper covered the news about her crowning. Though she didn't conduct it herself, she knows that there is an interview with Lucy Taylor that was never released out of respect. Felicia has access to the written recording, but never read it.
Character Quote: "All we can do is move forward and try not to be left behind."
Deviances: Her reflexes have been said to be second to none, almost scarily so. However, she also has (relatively minor) bad luck streaks.
Theme Song: Alone In The TownAnything Else: I take my coffee with plenty of sugar.
