Alain stands at an average height of six-foot-zero, but weighs just over two hundred pounds to give him a slightly above average build necessary for a SOLDIER who attacks in melee range. Even at 1st Class, Alain chose to keep his standard SOLDIER uniform, a dark sleeveless shirt with metallic shoulder-guards to protect the upper arms and standard fatigue pants and combat boots for the lower half of his body. The only bit of personalization is a sky-blue muffler scarf Alain wears around his neck. He has sharp, glaring eyes and silvery-white hair he keeps cut short and combed straight back to maintain a militaristic discipline in his appearance.
As a result of his genome, parts of Alain's skin are covered in scales of either bronze or dark blue. The scales cover his back mostly, but can also be seen on his arms as well, doubly so due to his forearms remaining bare due to his SOLDIER uniform. While he probably won't be sunbathing in Costa del Sol anytime soon, on the bright side the scales add a layer of protection especially on his back and shoulders.
Personality
If you could boil Alain down to a single word, it would be "driven". Alain's dogged determination knows no limits. It doesn't matter how many times he is knocked down, shot at, or thrown around. If there's any breath left in his body, he will get back on his feet to continue the fight, even if it means forcing himself to continue. This can be admirable most of the time, but there are those rare times where this proves to be more of a detriment, where his determination instead devolves into stubbornness. Alain isn't an overly social sort, preferring to speak through actions instead of words. He isn't completely anti-social, but he can be awkward in crowds and especially at parties or other specifically social events. His home is clearly on the battlefield, that much is certain. Along with his determination is a certain level of pride. He wears the name and emblem of his former unit proudly, almost thinking himself as one of them first and a SOLDIER second.
Background
Originally from the ill-fated Banora Village, Alain Stratos was conscripted by Shinra at age 18 during the last years of the Wutai War. The training was hard, and the battles were harder. Non-SOLDIER troops were no more than cannon fodder to most SOLDIERs and Shinra higher ups. Perhaps it was luck, then, that Alain found himself in the vanguard unit nicknamed the Dragoon Team; named for the spear-wielding 2nd Class SOLDIER who commanded them: Abel Beoulve. A demoted 1st Class SOLDIER, Abel's tactical ability allowed the Dragoon Team to stand out a bit more than the average Shinra Unit. As a vanguard unit, Dragoon Team was deployed for the purpose establishing Shinra footholds in Wutai-held territories, and were ultimately the ones who allowed for the trenches and encampments to be built up in the first place. They were under fire and ambush on a regular basis, but between the Unit's teamwork and Abel's leadership, saw the least amount of casualties than any other Vanguard Unit.
Then the order came from high up the chain for Dragoon Team to launch an assault on Wutai itself. A normal enough mission on the surface, things went south when a group of ninjas from Wutai revealed they obtained a Summon Materia. This one in particular was an Earth-elemental monster called Titan. Dragoon Team did manage a victory, but Titan inflicted heavy losses on the team. When the dust settled, Dragoon Team was almost completely wiped out, Abel included. Still, Shinra won the war in the end, and the few survivors of Dragoon Team were honored for their valor. As for Alain himself, he had developed a bond with Abel during those two years. The SOLDIER was like friend, mentor, and brother all rolled up into one. Abel's death was particularly hard for Alain to accept, but he was given Abel's spear and signature scarf as mementos of the fallen SOLDIER. Instead of returning home, Alain tried out for the SOLDIER Program and made it in, effectively following in Abel's footsteps.
Despite the war itself being over, Shinra still faced stiff resistance in the form of an emerging Eco-Terrorist group calling itself AVALANCHE. Alain's time as a 3rd and later 2nd Class SOLDIER was spent rooting out members of AVALANCHE and eliminating them. One deployment sent him and a newly reformed Dragoon Team to Alain's hometown of Banora Village. Supposedly there had been reports of AVALANCHE activity and Dragoon Team was to investigate it. An AVALANCHE plot was indeed discovered, but too late to save the Mako Reactor before it was blown up. The Reactor's destruction took Banora Village with it, Alain only managing to survive thanks to his SOLDIER augmentations. Alain became less sociable after that. He was briefly demoted back to 3rd Class for the failure at Banora Village but the demotion didn't last long. Alain fought harder than ever before, becoming more and more stubborn in his dedication to the job and to the elimination of AVALANCHE. This newfound tenacity helped propel him to 1st Class within SOLDIER.

A spear, one that's made specifically to be heavier than it looks in order to add to the weapon's physical power.
Took me a week and some other stuff, but I finally took a look and decided I'll bite the bullet and throw in my interest (if you're still taking apps).
Well, I mentioned this in the chat when you presented the question to me in real time - but I am not sure that you saw it. If anyone were to cast a curative spell or use something like a potion or an elixir on Raithen it would not be the same as if they had used it on a typical character. While Raithen is not on the same level as Gi Nattak (pheonix down = death), any healing magic or curative item would work on a limited scale at this point. Without any consideration on my part think of it like, 50% effective given how the genome has taken over his body. It may reach a point in this role play depending on how long we go where curative measures may not work at all or may actually hurt him. But that will have to be dealt with down the line. For now, just know that they are not 100% effective at this point.
The Cetra are on their long journey to cultivate life on the Planet. A being known as "Calamity from the Skies" crashes into the Planet's northern polar on a meteor, gravely injuring the Planet. The Cetra gather at this location to heal the Planet. The Calamity from the Skies emerges from the crater bringing with it deceit and treachery as a great pestilence falls upon the Cetra and the Planet. The Planet creates six powerful Weapons to combat the Calamity from the Skies: Jade Weapon, Sapphire Weapon, Diamond Weapon, Ultimate Weapon, Ruby Weapon, and Emerald Weapon. Having nearly wiped out the entire Cetra race, the Calamity of the Skies is defeated and sealed in a geological stratum. The Weapons remain dormant in the same stratum as they have never had to act. The Cetra's numbers continue to dwindle, being swallowed up by the ever-growing human population. The Cetra assimilate into human civilization, but maintain their ancient knowledge and powers.

Welcome to Final Fantasy 7: SOLDIER. This game follows a timeline based on a little FF7 fandom, but as you read over the timeline post you notice that none of the famed characters from the series are mentioned. The reason why is because YOU are the main characters in this tale. This game has an overall guided plot with missions that reveal pieces of the main plot as you go. There are many roles writers can take on in this game. I want writers to bring their imagination and creativity to the game without going overboard. As usual with the fandom games I run, you do not have to have played Final Fantasy 7 in order to write in this game. You just have to have a passable reading and reading comprehension ability. I know it sounds silly, but it's a deteriorating skill on this site. Because of this, I am keeping this OOC post pretty short and straight to the point. There is enough material to read.
Please be sure to read the Timeline post, which lists the events leading up to where our game begins. You can use these dates to gauge your character's age. Overall, Final Fantasy 7 is a high fantasy game. You can find all genres coexisting peacefully in this setting. Magic is cast using crystallized Mako orbs called Materia. There are various kinds of materia throughout the series that perform different functions. For a run-down of the types of materia, refer to this article: Materia.
In Final Fantasy 7, there exist special red-colored materia that allows characters to summon divine beasts. Unique to this game and unrelated to the canon, the Shinra Science Department has been conducting experiments on SOLDIER candidates and have been experimenting with the DNA of these divine beasts. By imbuing the SOLDIERs with the genes of a summon, they create a frightening bio-weapon. SOLDIERs who show distinct potential are placed into ranks: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Class. Only SOLDIERs are imbued with the summon genome and use the materia naturally granted by their parent celestial.
In Final Fantasy 7: SOLDIER, writers are allowed to make characters in multiple roles. The current playable roles are: SOLDIERs, Turks, and Shinra Troops to include Roboguard pilots and operators. I will give a brief explanation of each groups differences in regards to materia use and skills:
SOLDIERs, in this game, use only the materia naturally granted by the summon genome they are imbued with. They will use no other materia due to power balance.
Turks specialize in natural martial skill and advanced weaponry; however, like SOLDIERs, they are restricted to one type of combat. Their weapons can be augmented with materia up to 3 materia slots. They are often identified by their iconic unisex business suits. Currently, there is an open role for the leader of the Turk division.
Shinra Troop are capable of using materia slotted into their gear or weaponry. The tree most common spells Shinra troop use are: Poison, Silence, and Stop. They are the infantry and the closest thing to a classic soldier specializing in multiple weapons unlike SOLDIERs and Turks who only specialize in one primary weapon. Shinra Troop also carry items that deal devastating damage such as dynamite and grenades. Some Shinra Troop are also trained Roboguard pilots and remote operators.
Be Respectful. This game has a Discord Chat. I do not tolerate blatant or passive aggressive disrespect to any of the writers. I encourage you to avoid bringing subjects you are passionate or sensitive about into the Discord chat. If you are unable to respect others with differing opinions than yourself, then not bringing the subject up is the best deterrence to that problem. As a GM, I do my best to be respectful. I do have an assertive and military personality, because I am military. I try to avoid treating writers like soldiers, but if you see it happen, grain of salt. Seriously, take it with a grain of salt.
Activity. We're all busy. We all have lives. But what we all don't have is patience. If you can't see yourself continuing with this game or if you see yourself as the kind of person to bail on a game that hasn't moved in seven days, then do not join this game. Usually by the seventh day, I am prodding people, but we're not going to rush people. During missions, I will often set a Posting Order (P.O.) with a three day movement period. This means if the person hasn't posted in three days, then they forfeit their turn. Again, this is only during missions to keep the game from stagnating. What your character decides to do outside of missions is up to you and your writing partners. If a player is inactive for 14 days, I will PM him or her. If a player is inactive for 30 days, I drop them from the game.
Drama. Do not bring it here. I will be the first person to not tolerate any whining. This is a No Whining Zone. I have yet to have any problems with this in any of my games, and I like to keep it that way. It takes a group effort to facilitate a positive environment and my games mostly are full of mature and respectful individuals.
Summons. Did someone pick the summon that you wanted, and are unwilling to give it up? I'm sorry. Choose something else. You are allowed to choose summons from other Final Fantasy games as long as they have materia/magic spells.
Huge Pics. Scale those suckers down or link them. There is no reason why you should have a picture that takes up the entire screen.
Neon/Somber Font Colors. If you're the type of person who likes to use colors, avoid neon colors and dark colors. Neon colors burn the retinas and dark colors cannot be seen. No one wants to strain their eyes to read your posts. If I see it, I'm going to ask you to change it. Please google "HTML Color Codes" in order to find a link to a website that gives you variety of color codes to choose from.
Max Character Limit is 3. I want to give every writer a chance to make either of the three character roles. You can play whatever role you want more than once. However, you max out at three characters.
NPC/Support Characters. Yes, they are allowed. Let the GM know if you create a named NPC. This named NPC has to be someone that you think other characters would meet. Other players are required to respect your creations. You can make NPCs of other roles, however, you cannot RP them in a mission.
Bring your imagination. I can only do so much as a GM. I cannot hold your hand and make you have fun. You have to do that. I encourage you to interact with other writers. Take advantage of the Discord Chat to be able to directly communicate with your partners and set up some interesting stories between each other.
The Turks act similarly to an intelligence agency or investigative bureau, engaging in reconnaissance and espionage, or even black ops, including kidnappings and assassinations, on behalf of the corporation. They are consummate professionals, adhering to the mission no matter what. Due to the nature of their job, members are privy to numerous company secrets, and as such, become security risks should they resign.
They are well-known for wearing business suits even when immersed in bloody combat. Unlike the Shinra military, Turks wield various weapons—ranging from katana to fire arms to shuriken to martial arts—each operative specializing in one type of combat, and being capable of augmenting their weapon up to 3 materia slots. Like all character roles in this game, they too have limit breaks.
Currently, the leader of the Turks, the Head of the Investigative Division and General Affairs is an open role that can be claimed by a writer. If a writer does claim this role for him or herself, then I would want there to be an alternate in case the writer disappears.
Name
You can use 1001fonts.com to get fancy headers like the ones you see me use in designing this game. You can use them to jazz up your character's profile. Turks can have a full name or they can be named after their weapon of choice such as "Knife" or "Nunchaku." It sounds silly but these were actual names in the game.
Age
No children or grandparents please 18-40 y/o.
Date of Birth
Refer to the Game Timeline to plan a date.
Gender
Male or Female.
Height
There’s a trend where a lot of people like to make six-foot-ridiculous characters. I do not want giants in this game unless you PM me and tell me that being a giant has significance to the character’s concept. I am putting the height floor at 5’0” and height ceiling at 6’5”.
Weight
Self-explanatory.
Hair Color
The hair can be any color of the rainbow with crazy highlights. It can be long, short, buzzed, faddish, etc. Pigtails, ponytails, dreadlocks, etc. You can freely describe the hair colors and hair style in this section if you want.
Eye Color
These are natural colors unless your character wears contacts. If they wear glasses, mention them here as well.
Written Description
This is the overall description of your character from hair, build, skin complexion, tattoos, scars, clothing and accessories. You do not have to detail your character’s weapons. You will be able to do that below. As a Turk, when on duty you have the usual unisex business suit. The colors are always dark colors from navy-blue to black. If you're role playing a female, you can choose the character having heels instead of dress shoes but all Turks where dress pants.
Personality
As you write a general explanation of your character’s personality, mention 3 things they like, which can be like their favorite things: cats, apples, fishing, etc. Also mention 3 things they dislike. If they have any silly habits such as nail-biting, leg-shaking, knuckle-cracking, etc. You can mention those to if you want. I’m just offering ideas. If they aren't the Head of the Turk Department, let us know what your character thinks about the department head. This is optional if we don't have a head for the department.
Background
Some of you will probably go into depth in this section. Some of you may not. Before beginning this section, consider discussing prior relations with other writers who are also interested in this game. Maybe your character and another writer’s character were in the same village? Why did your character choose to become a Turk? Did they also qualify for the SOLDIER program and just decided against it? Just offering some ideas.
Weapon
What is your Turk's primary weapon? I don't count the weapons already taken by SOLDIER members. The Turks are treated separately. However, I don't want every Turk wielding the same weapon as another Turk. nderstand that there are different types of weapons at different sizes and lengths often defined using the words “great, long, or short.” You can only have ONE weapon unless it is a dual weapon. The weapon doesn't even have to be a traditional weapon. Your character could wield a fan, yo-yo, club, bat, shovel, etc. But ONE weapon. Choose wisely. A Turk's weapon can hold up to three materia.
Materia
You can place whatever materia you want here. You only get three to include their maxed out forms such as Bolt, Bolt 2, Bolt 3. These would still be considered 1 materia "Bolt." Again, you get 3 slots.
Limit Break
The limit break is a powerful combat move and usually the character's most damaging move. While in the game, there are many different ways to activate a limit break, in this RP there are two: 1) your character takes 10 consecutive damaging hits from an enemy or another player (yes, another player can help your character limit break but it's dangerous), and 2) if a mini boss or boss nearly kills your character, they get a "second wind" which is his or her limit break. Give your limit break a name. Describe how the attack or move is performed. Does it attack a single target? Does it attack multiple targets and if so, how many? Is it a support ability that aids the party? Describe it.
The Security Department is in charge of the non-Mako-infused troops - The Shinra Troops. They make up majority of Shinra's military force, and are deployed more often than SOLDIER. This department has a rivalry with SOLDIER and extends challenges in the form of training sessions. The Security Department is a fallback for SOLDIERs deemed unfit to undergo Mako infusion. Within this department exists The Roboguard who was remote piloted as well as manually piloted by operators from the inside.
Rank System
The FF7 verse labels Shinra Troops as they would minions; therefore, the troops don't have a legit rank system. For this game, if the Shinra Troop are infantrymen, then use standard U.S. Army ranks. We're not going to go specifically into rank details. It'll be simple, Private and Sergeant. Their superior is the SOLDIER 2nd Class. If they are a Roboguard Operator it'll be Guardsman and Elite Guardsman. If we need to go into Navy or Air Force terms, then we'll worry about that if it ever comes up.
Name
You can use 1001fonts.com to get fancy headers like the ones you see me use in designing this game. You can use them to jazz up your character's profile. Shinra Troops just have any ol' name.
Age
No children or grandparents please 18-40 y/o.

Hair Color
Natural hair colors. Shinra Troops don't get much freedom to dye and style their hair in fancy ways.
Eye Color
These are natural colors unless your character wears contacts. If they wear glasses, mention them here as well.
Rank
Infantry: Private or Sergeant; Roboguard: Guardsman or Elite Guardsman.
Written Description
Shinra Troop are pretty military. They wear the standard Shinra Troop uniform with a helmet and scarf. When off-duty, yes, they can wear normal clothes.
Personality
As you write a general explanation of your character’s personality, mention 3 things they like, which can be like their favorite things: cats, apples, fishing, etc. Also mention 3 things they dislike. If they have any silly habits such as nail-biting, leg-shaking, knuckle-cracking, etc. I’m just offering ideas. What are your character's goals?

Before beginning this section, consider discussing prior relations with other writers who are also interested in this game. Maybe your character and another writer’s character were in the same village? Why did your character choose to become a Shinra Trooper? Did they qualify for the SOLDIER program and just decided against it? Just offering some ideas.
Weapons
Shinra Troops can have as many weapons on their person as deemed logical by Rule of Cool. These are standard military weapons. This is a fantasy game. Make them up.
Mecha
This is an optional category. If your character is not apart of the Roboguard, then ignore this section. Just delete it and don't even include it in your profile. However, if your character is a Roboguardsman, then you need to detail your robot here. I'm expecting some pseudoscience made up shit. What weapons does it have? How tall is it? Is it quadrupedal or bipedal? What are all of its functions? Does it fly? Does it climb? Is it fast? You should be able to answer all of these questions. You can finally give your Mecha a name.
Materia
The materia for the Shinra Troop is pretty locked tight. The materia will be Seal, Bio, and Time for all Shinra Troops.
Limit Break
The limit break is a powerful combat move and usually the character's most damaging move. While in the game, there are many different ways to activate a limit break, in this RP there are two: 1) your character takes 10 hits from an enemy or another player (yes, another player can help your character limit break but it's dangerous), and 2) if a mini boss or boss nearly kills your character, they get a "second wind" which is his or her limit break. Give your limit break a name. Describe how the attack or move is performed. Does it attack a single target? Does it attack multiple targets and if so, how many? Is it a support ability that aids the party? Describe it.
Cosmo Canyon - Professor Hojo suspects Dr. Hollander is performing unsanctioned research in secret. The Turks are tasked to locate him and their leads have led them to Cosmo Canyon. Social Atmosphere: The residents of Cosmo Canyon have remained neutral to the disputes between Wutai and Shinra. They are a peaceful and spiritual people who are pacifistic in nature. Mission Group: Turks Personnel Required: TBD
Bone Village - Archaeologists from the Shinra Science Department are searching for a special relic. The sensitivity of the mission has called for SOLDIER (2 & 3) along with Shinra Troops to be deployed to the area and protect the archaeologists. There are rumors of AVALANCHE personnel disguised as archaeologists trying to uncover the reason behind the dig Mission Group: SOLDIERs 2 & 3 and Shinra Troop Personnel Required: All in the Mission Group.
Junon - The military base has been cybernetically attacked by an AVALANCHE hacker. Several remote mechs have been corrupted and now lay siege to the base. Rovers (for their K-9 appearance), Giga Hunters (for their search capabilities), and the super weapon, Metal Cricket have been hijacked, and are fighting the Shinra Troop. Intelligence suspects the mechs target to be the Sister Ray. All units have been dispatched to the site to put an end to the sabotage. Turks have been tasked to locate the hacker. SOLDIER 1st Classes have been tasked to take our the super weapon before it takes out the mako cannon (Sister Ray). All other personnel (SOLDIERs 2,3, and Troop) have been tasked to destroy all battle mechs. Mission Group Everybody Personnel Required: Everyone.
Midgar is the capital city and power base of the Shinra Electric Power Company in the world of Gaia. This is the primary setting at the start of this role play. Midgar embodies many themes in FF7. The greedy capitalism of Shinra and the authoritarian power the company can project, the environmental disaster that faces the Planet, and how new is rapidly replacing old, displacing the lives of many people. Midgar is the most technologically advanced city on the planet. Its large circular structure is supported above the ground by 8 Mako Reactors and a central pillar with various other supports around the city. On top of the structure lies the city proper, divided into eight sectors, while underneath it lie the Midgar Slums where the poor and downtrodden make their home.
Midgar was once eight individual towns but their names have been forgotten in favor of referring to the different areas as sectors. Governed as a police state, the city is home to some of the richest and most powerful people who run most of the city’s affairs from the central Shinra Building, which dominates the cityscape. Construction of the city began in 1976 to provide residence for the Shinra Electric Power Company’s growing investment and employment base. Because of the eight Mako Reactors, the city’s massive power demands are met, but at the cost of the surrounding countryside, which has become a barren wasteland due to the city sapping the surrounding life energy. Because of this, the city and its reactors are a prime target for terrorism by rebel groups like AVALANCHE who seek to restore the planet to its former state and to stop Shinra from sapping its life energy.
Midgar is considered a technological pizza in design. Although it was previously mentioned that there are 8 sectors, there is actually a ninth sector called Sector 0 at the center of the city. Sector 0 is the central district which holds the main headquarters of Shinra. Each sector has a Mako Reactor that provides it with electricity.
The Midgar Slums, the projects beneath the plates of the rich and wealthy, can be accessed via city train or hidden paths throughout the city’s sewer system. The train can be a risky method of travel for stowaways. The train will pass through security checkpoints between each sector, and the entire train will pass through a scanner that scans the train passes of all personnel aboard. Most stowaways try to ride the train and dismount before the train reaches the security checkpoint. This illegal act has allowed for criminal types to traverse the plates of the wealthy and prosperous and cause trouble. Street gangs tend to venture to the top, rob from the rich, but they do not give to the poor. Street gangs will also target innocents of the plate and harm them through assault and nonconsensual acts. Shinra Troop actively patrol the city by foot, vehicle, or roboguard, but they can’t always stop the crimes from happening.
An AVALANCHE safe house is rumored to be in the Midgar Slums but has yet to be found.
Writers can create common locations, whether they be movie theaters, restaurants, cafes, bars, fight clubs, etc. Whatever location a writer creates will be listed here for all writers to refer to. These locations will be able to be visited and appreciated by all characters. PM the GM once you create an establishment or place. I won't always see that you've done it.
Writers can create NPCs that are either well-known owners or workers of the locations listed above, or a face characters may commonly see around the city. The NPCs of writers will be listed here. PM the GM if you want to add a NPC to this list.
Writers are free to explore the 8 (or 9) Sectors of Midgar and make what they want of them. You can create drama for yourselves, but don't try to destroy the world or Mako Reactors. Leave that sort of drama to the GM as the GM uncovers the plot.
I expect the GM events and the free-flowing time that exists in Midgar to happen at different times of the year. Your character can be in Midgar doing a personal plot, and also in a GM event at the same time. The idea is that they happen on different dates.
Street Gangs, Mafias, etc. are people worth adding to the "Notable Characters" list. Especially if they're a big problem.
Font Color Discipline Again, do not use neon or somber colors. We want to be able to comfortably read your work, so don't do it.
No Large Pics If you want to use pics to jazz-up your posts, large pictures that take up the screen are not permitted. They look very bad and they don't make your posts look better. Shrink them, link them, or hide them. If they are hidden, they still better be small.
No OOC in the IC No OOC chatter in the IC. We have an OOC for a reason. Keep your fourth-wall dialog out of the IC. Thank you.
Police Each Other If you see a player violating these rules, please inform them that they are doing so. If they blow you off, then tell me. I'll deal with it. That's what I'm here for. My purpose is to make sure this game moves and is enjoyable for the players. I get rid of drama queens in a heartbeat. Also be sure to let me know if we have some "Bad Ass vs The World" types of writers. You'll know them when you see them. They are obvious, and I will get rid of them.
Pendulum; although claiming her real name is Fubuki Weiss, she chooses to be called Pendulum, or Penn, after her weapon.
Age
Penn in only eighteen years old, a little young compared to her fellow Turk allies.
Date of Birth
September 6, εγλ 1983
Gender
Female
Height
Penn is exactly five feet tall, making her pretty short in comparison to those around her. There are even times when fellow Turks tease her about her height, or call her "Short-Stack", to get a reaction.
Weight
Weighing 102 pounds, she has a habit of being thrown around in battle...
Hair Color
Penn has natural ombre hair, as it goes from silvery white at the roots, a light pinkish purple down the middle, and then to a soft icy blue at the ends. As her hair grows out, it slowly changes color, resulting in the gradient ombre. Her hair is often curly, stopping at her bottom and she keeps her front bangs instead of parting it to the side.
Eye Color
Penn's natural eye color is blue, but she does need to wear either glasses or contacts in order to see properly. The contacts make her eyes significantly lighter, while she wears baby blue framed square glasses when outside of battle.
Written Description
Pendulum is a petite young girl, standing at five feet exactly and weighing about one hundred pounds give or take. She has curly ombre hair that's usually left out when not on missions and blue eyes that change color depending on if she's wearing contacts or glasses. Her skin is surprisingly smooth and silky, void of any knicks or battle scars. Her casual wears often consists of a knee length short sleeved periwinkle dress with white flats, and a black shoal with a bow in the front.
When on duty, Penn wears the standard Turk uniform, a navy blue suit with dark low heels and her hair tied into a high ponytail with a dark band. Her pendulums are often hidden in her sleeves.
Personality
When first meeting Pendulum, she seems to have a cold, aloof personality based off of her appearance. She appears to have a distant attitude around everyone except for those she's seen on a day to day basis...that is until you get close enough to actually talk to her. The true Penn is a very crude, violent, arrogant, and aggressive person. Having an attitude reminiscent of a teenage delinquent, Penn tends to come off as very anti-heroic, if not downright evil. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to her early childhood days and having to cope with being mostly deaf in both ears. Uncomfortably brutal at times, Penn smiles eerily when finding herself in the middle of a battle. Her personality reflects her fighting style when alone: mercilessly assaulting the opponent with pendulums and having no regard for anything other than the enemies around her. Despite this, she's quite talented in fighting, using her pendulums in various ways besides attacking. She's also very intelligent, being capable of strategic planning and investigating, to the point that some even consider her a prodigy among Turks. While not the most mentally stable fighter, despite having the image of one, she knows who her enemies and allies are. Cold to her allies, but colder to her enemies. She's also very rude and foul-mouthed, which makes her hard to approach; with the help of other Turks, her aggressive outbursts become less aggressive. With that in mind, Penn knows when to be mature, although is still quite aloof and unsociable, showing disinterest in hanging out with her fellow allies, even when she wants to. Due to the constant praise of her abilities, Pendulum has a superiority complex and wants to be first and the best at everything. She doesn't like when people look down on her, as if they were superior; thus, it diminishes her already short fuse. Because of this complex, she's implied to be anti-social; she seems not to care for much people. Penn is also immensely prideful, as she hates the idea of others either helping her or her having to rely on others to assist her in battle. Because of her pride, Penn refuses to work together with others claiming she can do whatever she's assigned on her own. However, she will repay those who help her. She likes napping, drinking tea, and anything cute. She dislikes loud sounds, the smell of oil, and cheese, and has the habit of talking to herself, watching her pendulum absently, and she easily becomes distressed and even cries randomly due to bottled up emotions leaking out. This also leads to uncontrollable shaking from time to time.
Background
Pendulum remembers only small parts of her past, back when she was still Fubuki Weiss. She remembered that she was one of the many people that lived in Midgar's slums as an orphan; except she was a little different. Instead of banding together with others to survive, she was all alone. For one, her appearance shied away those that tried to approach her. She always had a hard time seeing, and was never able to understand those around her, never obtaining the human interaction that most needed to remain sane. Fubuki remembers being bullied, even those in the slums beating her down, forcing her to steal food, and spitting at her when she 'ignored' them...all of it was forever etched into her mind resulting in the occasional trembling fits she has to this day.
Fortunately, their efforts gave hope to Fubuki, as one day during her 'errands', stood face to face with an open book next to one of the merchants' booths. She knew she was only suppose to get necessities, but she couldn't possibly pass this up. So she stole the book and took it back to the slums, her eyes squinting just see the pictures displayed in the book.
This book lead to Fubuki's interest in the Delacriox Family. She didn't know what they did exactly, but their symbol, followed by the picture of a woman praying to the wings of a bird were etched into the girl's mind, giving her hope. She often drew these symbols in the dirt and picked up forgotten bird feathers to pray on them at night. It was the only thing that kept her believing that everything would be alright.
She had no idea how long she had been doing such things, but before she knew it, her wish had come true. She remembered military men walking through the slums, picking up every person they thought they could use (for what? Penn could only assume for the Genome experiments now thinking back on it), Fubuki being one of them. She could only watch in awe, remembering how hard she prayed and how many times she drew the symbol, only to see it etched onto the shield of the girls walking within the troops. Before she could even express her gratitude for giving her hope, the girl was whisked away.
Before the girl even knew it, a few years had past and Fubuki Weiss was no more. Declining the offer to the SOLDIER program, Pendulum opted to work under the Turks, hoping to learn ore about the world in the process.
Weapon
Pendulum's primary weapon is, if you couldn't guess, is dual pendulums. She usually has the ends of the pendulums wrapped around her finger or wrist to use them more freely. It has extreme range (3.5 m), being useful in mostly mid and long range attacks. She usually alternates between three different types of pendulums (using two at the same time), each one holding materia within it.

Limit Break
When pushed to the edge, Pendulum unleashes her Limit Break, Frozen Hell. The move first begins with Penn uncontrollably shaking, her eyes roll to he back of her head, and her head tilting back as if looking up at the sky. She opens her mouth, only to release a bloody curdling scream. Pendulum chains made of ice shoot out of her body, causing her to scream louder in pain. Chains shoot out in all directions, prevent enemies (and even some allies) from escaping; if they're unlucky they might get impaled by said chains. Once the chains connect to a hard surface, the area around Penn (exactly .5 miles to 1 mile depending on mood) erupts in a flurry of frozen icicles, growing as tall as 20 feet. This lasts for 35 seconds. After her Limit Break, she is sometimes left unconscious being held up by the chains, or screaming in pain for the same reason.
I'm still planning on having Lapin be at Bone Village, but I'm waiting on @Sarcelle Renard, since they've said that they want their character to be a subordinate of mine.
If they don't show up, I can probably whip up a RP post this afternoon/evening/night.
I am just putting an interest check out to see if anyone would be interested in playing members of AVALANCHE in the FF7 game. I RP 3 key members of the group, but having more player characters as AVALANCHE will make the game more interesting.
If you are interested, then let me know and I will design a character sheet for AVALANCHE members. In the discord, you'll have your own separate channel where you will receive mission briefs from the GM and be able to plot how to go about them with your group.
So this game has been running for two months now. There are a few roles that I'd be interested in seeing more of:
1. Turks 2. AVALANCHE (if there is an interest)
We're approaching the conclusion of two of our ongoing missions. If you think you'd be interested in this game, now is a good time to drop some CSes for review. Please let me know if you think you'll be interested in AVALANCHE. AVALANCHE is currently GMed by me, but having some players actually planning the sabotage I feel can make the game even more unexpected and interesting. :D
In the sense of the Turks, will you be wanting them played as classic Turks? Kind of like a Secret Service to the SHIN-RA Power Company? More like the separation of the CIA vs the Main Military?
