Double Capybara Thank you for releasing me

Pronunciation is a bit fun. A good while ago I used Google translate's text to speech to get a preview of what each god sounded like in some major languages. From that I learnt that I stick 80% of the time with my native Portuguese pronunciation (Ilunabar for me goes Elunabar). The oddest thing though was that I noticed I pronounced Zephyrion in something far closer to the French pronunciation over my own pt or english, still unsure why I do that.

On a side note, hi, I am alive and not dead. Should return to posting eventually.

I'm not sure how Google's text to speech would handle some of these names.

To any that haven't realized, Zephyrion's name is a pun on the word zephyrean. But in my head-canon I pronounce it more sharply. Instead of ze-fer-ree-an I say zuh-FEAR-ee-un.

And hi! I'm just here working on some post in a desperate attempt to distract myself from a mounting pile of work.

Why would anyone want to fix English? It works just fine. I rather like its oddities. I hate these same oddities in any language I attempt to learn, however.

Like, if you've ever tried to learn Danish - nothing is pronounced how it's spelt. NOTHING.

Let it be known that the only proper pronunciation of Vestec is Vez(rhymes with lez)-tech. Any other pronunciations are heresy and will be burned at the stake.

@Rtron Wut? I've always pronounced it Fez-Tech.

On that note, I hope you all know by now that Yara is pronounced Aristophanes.

Excellent news for me, my presence will once more become more regular here. Things are finally slowing down at work, and I have a little more freedom.

Do standard creation sheets exist somewhere? I could have sworn I saw some in the OP or second post at some point, but they seem to be either gone or a product of my imagination. Also, is filling a sheet for creations necessary, or just a way of keeping track of them?

@Oraculum Creation sheet templates are fairly bare-bones, so you can borrow the existing creation sheets ones in the character tab and clear the information to use as a template if you like. I'd only ask that you make sure to include its might cost (if any) and describe any information that's required to understand the creation. Also, if it's a holy site, remember to include the income it brings.

Creation sheets generally make things easier to keep track of, but a number of players currently have them on -- *ahem* -- their to-do list, so to speak. We would much rather you make one if you have a significant creation.

Another option is to make a wiki page. It doesn't have to be a huge wiki page like some of them are. Just as long as the same information that would be on the creation sheet is present, as well as noting the creation's creator.

Forgive me father, for I have transitioned to the wiki page and even there have left a blazing trail of Works in Progress.

Other than that one Vec unceremoniously edited and condemned my beloved Layla to the whip.

That reminds me not even Osveril is in the wiki yet. Here is something else I must see to.

Anyway, a post and possible accompanying sheets should float up from the void hopefully soon.

I like to think I'm doing well today, but really weird parts of my body keep clicking. Like, when I stretch my ribs click, and when I move my neck my neck clicks, and my elbows too. I hold Jvan fully responsible for this development.

Recent lurker dripping with a bit of advice, years ago, a close friend of my grandfather had the same issue and his doctor told him to resolve it with stretching exercises, and a few months after he started stretching as often as possible, the clicking became less and less frequent until it disappeared entirely. There's a myriad of reasons your joints might be clicking, and my grandfather's friend's joints might have had a completely different reason for clicking, but all the same, it couldn't hurt to look into calisthenics.

@Ardent Debater THE FROG OF 'BEWARE OF THE CLICKING' APPEARS! The foretold apocalypse is here \O.O/

In all seriousness, thank you very much for the response! I do stretch from time to time, but I'll make it a more regular thing. It certainly can't hurt. (Quite literally, I am rather proud of my flexibility xP).

@Kho You're welcome! You're double-jointed? That might be the reason you're clicking, my father used to have severe arthritis from decades of habitually cracking his knuckles until he spent two months daily imbibing a home remedy my grandfather, (his father, not the friend of the friend who shared your troubles) recommended him, a single frozen poke salad berry a day with a shot of whisky. Poke salad berries grow in my region during the springtime, and many older folks use them to handle cramps, and joint-locks, that sort of thing. I doubt you've got arthritis in your ribcage, and I further doubt poke salad berries are common where you live, but that reminded me of it. Most home remedies are hogwash, but some really do work.
