How would you feel about James trying to take Aiden under his wing?

I pimped the sheet a bit. Hope that's alright.

I love the extra information you added! Good job sprucing things up! I do have a question or two before admitting the character though.

1. It said he was on medication and recently released into new custody. Does this mean he doesn't live in the world of the Rifters? Don't forget that the Rifters live in a wasteland that's only recently being rebuilt. They don't have a firm government for that type of thing, and more importantly they don't have medicine. Some clarification on that would be good!

2. While I truly love his power set... it doesn't match his Rift. The Britain Rift heavily revolves around manipulation of the eco-sphere and nature, not destruction of it. Honestly his powers more closely resemble the Russian and African Rifts.

3. The rules said no cartoons or anime for pictures, BUT I'll let this slide since you provided a pretty kick ass description for him.

So those things need to be addressed, but I do dig the character! Just let me know about those few concerns.

Thanks a lot ^^.

I'll go ahead and change his Rift to Russian.

As for where he is located, James can very well be the guardian he was released with.

Alright sweet! Just read over the changes and you're good to go! I think i'll go ahead and go add him under the accepted characters. Hopefully, assuming we get at least two more characters by then, I'll open the IC up this saturday!

Could have him be a very, very, very distant relation, and that's the only known non-bastard he can go with?

@Irredeemable That works, yes. Since Aiden is English/Russian. Russian on his mother's side, so, James could be related to her in whatever way.

@A Lowly Wretch Also, random thought Wretch. What if Walter and my character Krag were business partners? Krag seems to be the perfect 'muscle' type to help Walter in his exploits.

@Puffhead - Walter can always use good security. Walter's personal bodyguard for when he needs to hit the streets would be a fitting job for Krag, well paying too.

On another note I do have more questions since I've got Walter established.

Also, I went ahead and selected a couple areas to serve as Walter's properties, warehouses and manufacturing workshops not included.

Very good questions! Let me answer real quick before I go to work:

And as for the map, that's great! I'll see if I can add those territories to the map when I get the time.

This looks super interesting and I would like to join. However, it is almost midnight and I need to go to bed. So I'll be doing more reading and thinking up a character in the morning.

I do have a question, though. I'm a little fuzzy on the Russian Rifters powers? I know it says they can manipulate physics but to what end? Can they manipulate other living beings? Or themselves? Some examples other than gravity manipulation might help me understand it better.

Oh hey! I just posted on your intro post actually! No worries about going to bed, it's late where I am too but welcome aboard!

As for the Russian Rift, things are left somewhat ambiguous to give the players more room for creativity but I'll explain what I can. Russians can essentially manipulate matter, gravity, and energy in very unique ways. A good example would be one of our newest characters, Aiden. He has the ability to cause Matter to begin to decay at a heavy rate. Another good example would be someone who could absorb energy in order to create barriers made of pure light, ect. ect. It is somewhat of a confusing power set I'll admit but it's mostly so that people can get as imaginative as possible. But think of any ability that would be based around energy or defying physics and that's a good place to start.

@Puffhead - Your answers were quite illuminating. Given how the Tradezone doesn't have any major parties vying for control of the area I'm thinking, with your permission of course, of having Walter control the majority of the Tradezone with a subtle yet powerful grip as a result of his years of trading & gathering resources.

After all, while the Stormlands might be a strong contender for control over food Walter can provide ample supplies of perfectly clean water and much, much more. The British rifters can't contend him in the fields of both medicine and vices as their rift's powers work with the more basic forces of nature while Walter's power allows him a far more complex manipulation of fluids.

On another note I've been thinking about your mention of Krag's involvement in Walter's business. Seeing as how Walter is keen to see trade go underway in a safe and pleasant environment if you'd like Krag would make an ideal peace officer. The role allows you a great deal of freedom since Krag can roam most of the Tradezone while on duty so long as he's keeping the area safe like he's paid to do. He'll have a stable job and a great excuse for getting involved in other people's plots.

Just a humble suggestion whilst I pass the time dwelling on character matters.

I imagine that someone who had gravity control would be quite useful in your endeavours. You don't need forklifts when someone can just 'bump' barrels wherever they need to go.
