S T A R W A R S

L A W L E S S G A L A X Y

It is a time of conflict in the Galaxy, the Emperor is dead alongside his right hand man Darth Vader during the destruction of the Second Death Star above the forest moon of Endor during a battle that saw many of the Imperial War Machines Senior naval officers perish. As the Rebellion transitions into the New Republic all out war spreads throughout the Galaxy. A war, that is rife with opportunity.

Jabba the Hutt is dead, his sailbarge destroyed. The remaining Hutts, their numbered diminished, all vy for the scraps in order to absorb Jabbas vast criminal empire into their own. Meanwhile new players enter the field, Hutt Space is a buzz with activity as known Crime Lords rise up from the ashes of the fallen while the former Giants of the underworld try to maintain control. All the while forces of the Imperial Remnant and New Republic view the sector in chaos with greedy eyes.

Welcome one and all, to the first Roleplay I've GM'd since making my return. Those of you who have been on the Guild for a substantial period of time may know me for such Roleplays as No Turning Back, Dawn of Heroes, Crisis: Mars, Rancor Company and Jedi Exile. This roleplay will be largely free roam, and if you couldn't guess it takes place within the sector known as Hutt Space. Players will be forced to form allegiances to make their living in the sector as it is torn apart by both internal and external forces. As the GM I will have input to ensure that everyone has something to do, though if you are a player who like me enjoys autonamy then I am willing to give it.

You may be asking yourself what kind of theme I'm going for here, I'm aiming for the Roleplay to have a very Wild West theme, with two warring factions on the outside, while those who are more idealistic may be seeking to bring Law and Order to uncivilized space.

What kind of characters can you play I hear you ask?

Imperial: The Imperials know the power that lies in even a fractured Hutt Cartel. There's a lot of money and resources an Imperial Remnant can make use off. There's also a degree of anonymity in their space, somewhere to run away to escape persecution from Imperial or New Republic forces alike.
New Republic: The Imperials understood the importance of the smuggler trade that went through Hutt Space. The New Republic are a bit more idealistic and naive, a entire region of space corrupt with slavery, poor living conditions and riddled with crime? That's a region of space full of people who can be liberated and then brought into the New Republic. Task Force Rancor is sat in position in an unnamed system just outside of Hutt Space, assessing the situation.
Criminals: I need not explain what criminals can do in Hutt Space?

I'm giving a lot of creative freedom in this roleplay, should you want to be an Imperial Warlord on the run or a criminal trying to form a new Criminal Empire or a bounty hunter looking for his next contract, I want to see what you've got!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

@Burning Kitty I'm going to say no,as I am sticking to canon. Galen Marek never really fit in anywhere. Ahsoka well, we dunno what her status is so I'm of going to touch that.

@Sep Hey, something I always wanted to know about Star Wars, is Nanotech a thing there? Considering they have had space colonization down for millennia and all that.

I'd like to be a bounty hunting droid if possible using Nanotech, but yeah, I dunno about the technical side of Star Wars, only all the force stuff.

@Sep Oh yep, it exists, its even in the canon universe since it was stated in Clone Wars. And it does exactly what I want it to do. I can totally make a backstory that works and everything.

You are going have to be more specific. There are multiple canons. There is the one used by the movies and associated other media. There is the multiple canons in the other media. Otherwise you could be shooting down numerous ideas.

I would like a go or no go on playing a Force user working for the New Republic.

@Burning Kitty I am going current (Disney) book/movie/TV canon. You can be a force user for the New Repiublic yes.

So long as you explain their training, for future reference if I simply say canon I am referring to mainstream canon. If I mean game or EU canon I will sy so. As much as I like parts of the EU going mainstream is easier for more casual players.

No explanation needed. Jedi that survived Order 66 like Yoda, Kanan Jarrus, Obi-Wan, etc. and didn't die during the Empire.

@Burning Kitty I mean when you make their sheet, I'll expect that portion to be covered.

I look forward to it though! I'm hoping to garner a little more interest then I'll work on an ooc

Would definitely be interested in a criminal character, a new crime lord in the slave trade.

Definitely interested, I've a force-hating bounty Hunter on my mind, but he could be a criminal or soldier depending on how cs's play out

This gathered interest a lot faster than expected, I'm going to work on a couple of pre-made factions for people to interact with and then write up rules and whatnot. I don't think it'll be up tonight, but it could be. Watch this space.
