When Alinius is not materialised, ki appears as a shifting orb of whispy, almost misty... Stuff. This is the Aether. Thanks to kir unusually strong connection with the substance, ki identifies as neither male nor female- instead ki simply believes that ki is. ki also finds it unusual that the other gods would choose to identify as male or female, considering they are, strictly speaking, neither.

Alinius is an interesting God. At first, ki can seem detached or even amotional, but this is not the case. Whilst ki has less of a stake in things compared to most of the other Gods, ki finds that interacting with the others and understanding the why and wherefore of everything kir fellow deities do to be crucial to kir. Because of this, ki finds himself naturally drawn towards X, another God in search of knowledge, although they have slightly different overall goals.

This way of 'living' however, means that ki is seemingly a wispy God- not really meaning much or effecting much. Whilst appropriate considering kir connection with the Aether, this could not be further from the truth. Unfortunately, however, how much is truth is rather difficult to actually discern.

What is known though is that ki has very little mortality to him. He considers 'right' and 'wrong' to be malleable and subject to change, and sees destruction and creation (and for that matter, life and death,) to be essentially the same thing, as it is simply the shifting of Aether. Because of this, ki often angers gods who are of a more emotional bent, or who believe life has intrinsic value.

Alinus is the Ultimate Destructor, and therefore the God of Death. Due to the duality of kir work, ki is also the Artificer of the Aether, capable of weaving something into reality. Finally, ki is also the Arbiter of Boundaries- both actual and imagined. Since these are so ill defined, it is often difficult to know when kir influence ends.

Chaos. Despite being a God of death, Alinus is highly reactive to disruption to the natural order. Because of this, ki is the mortal enemy of Asmoday, who he believes subverts the nature of Aether, and therefore the order of everything.

Alinus has no avatar. Instead, ki can summon the Loom of Aether when he wishes to. This is a tremendous wispy construct, holding the threads that cause everything to exist. Alinus can then search through the loom to find anything in existence- no mean feat even with kir ability to manipulate the Aether. When ki then finds the correct thread, ki then unravel it, ultimately destroying that thing from existence- pulling it back into the Aether as the energy that once made it. Whilst the loom cannot be destroyed unless Alinus dismisses it,
the God himself cannot focus on anything other than finding the thread, and is therefore vulnerable.

Kir source of power is the Aether Sphere. A seemingly gaseous sphere the perfect size for Alinus to palm, when touched by a deity it solidifes- the only way anyone but Alinus can handle the Aether.

Essentially, Alinius' has two powers, and several other attributes that could be considered powers. The two powers he possesses are that of Creation and Destruction. He can make and destroy inanimate objects almost at-will using his link with the Aether. Animate objecs are a little harder. Mortals require him to spend time carefully unravelling their essence, and immortals require him to do the 'physically' demanding activity of summoning the Loom, and then carefully search for their threads among the billions of other threads, then spend even more time unravelling it. An immortal will feel the sensation of him searching for their thread however, and so will get plenty of time to react- should they recognise the feeling.

His non-powers are quite simply his patience and his detachment. Millions can die, and his only reaction will be to wonder how he will deal with the glut of Aether moving to the material realm. Of course, if it goes to the underworld, then he has a serious issue on his hands. Otherwise however, the natural cycle of birth and death means that things will even out in the end.

Unless his loom counts, Alinius has no objects.

A project between Alinius and Aela, Kir's child is not yet finished- but an unmoulded body with no animation or form.

The Aether Unbound is Aether in its purest form. Existing not quite within the same realm as the rest of them, it is anathema to biological, mortal life. This is thanks to the very fundamental element of Aether- it is the first and last thing in existence. Alinius has harnessed only a tiny part of this realm, where he has built the Crystal Gardens.

The Crystal Gardens are strange, constantly shifting and maze-like. They are, however, the only ordered think in what is otherwise a roiling maelstrom of white. Throughout these corridors, Aether Wisps, Automata made by Alinius and Elementals roam, but they are all that live in this strange place. Certainly, no humans grace the halls.
