@bloonewb Good sheet, though there is still room for a few adjustments. I'd like a better idea of what Michel and Genna's specific skills and assets would be, particularly how Genna manages to be so independent from her house despite being unmarried and what influence or skills she has that her moral conundrum has stakes outside of a simple choice. There's also a line about Artur having brothers and it should be clear whether he has more besides Michel that are less focused on or if Michel is his only other brother. If you want to NPC or puppet Tyland at any point, you can also have a line about him, his personality, and what not. Get all of that straightened out and you should be good to go.

@NecroKnight I'm not sure if this a WIP or not, but I'd like more fleshing out of House Tully in-line with all of the other house sheets we've gotten so far. A little history blurb and a list of the other house members, even if you don't want to PC them, would be good. For Elmo, I think you could flesh out more of his personality, skills, and motivations. And Lord Grover is actually his grandfather, not father, and while Grover is alive he is technically the Lord Tully even if Elmo is running most things. Talking about his wife, and his son Kermit is important too, at least fleshing out the history.

Finally, I think there should be a reason that Elmo left home to join Daemon's campaign, a force mostly made up of House Velaryon soldiers as well as cutthroats, mercs, second sons, and assorted adventurers that Daemon gathered to him. Did Elmo sign up out of a sense of duty to stop the Triachy's influence in the Stepstones? Did he seek glory in battle under the Prince? It's an important question and helps inform why he would want to follow the Blacks. So all of that should be elaborated upon.

Well, I don't have alot to work on...okay scratch that, I don't have anything to work on at all with them. They barely have any history to their name - beyond being Blacks and fighting for Rhaenyra.

@NecroKnight That's where your own invention can come in. There's a very barebones canon, but you can elaborate with your own original ideas, such as Elmo fighting in the Stepstones.

I shall try, but this was the best I came up with in my short schedule. Likely to maybe get it better at best for Friday...

@bloonewb I'm happy with this sheet. Ship to characters when the adjustments Didact mentions are applied.

Hey, sorry I haven't done any posting. I've just been really busy this past month. I haven't forgotten this RP, though.

@Gnome Johnson It's an interesting sheet but there are a few tweaks needed. The Thenns are noted to use bronze, but it's not like bronze smithing is some new technology. The First Men have had it pretty much since they first came to Westeros. It wouldn't really make much sense for Rolf to be the guy who discovered it, since the books imply the Thenns have had the know-how for a really, really long time. There's also no indication that the Thenns elect the Magnar. The Magnar is seen as more god than man, but he's also an analogue to a Lord and the position is shown to be hereditary when Styr dies in the books and his son Sigorn becomes Magnar. The fact that the Thenns actually have quite a few things in common with southern nobility is one of the reasons Jon thinks making a House Thenn can actually work. The valley of the Thenn is even warm and fertile enough from volcanic activity for them to have some farming, so you can add that to the sheet as well. As for trading with Giants, that is possible but I'd like it to be specified what they trade since Giants aren't exactly settlers either. Perhaps mammoth products for harvest produce?

You're also more than welcome to play the Thenns and go for being King-Beyond-The-Wall, but I wouldn't expect any of the royals to actually side with them. Pretty much everyone sees the wildlings as savages, and it wouldn't make much sense for either side to ally with them and not only infuriate the North but also upset the social order. If a king brings in savages from beyond the wall and replaces the northern nobility with them, why wouldn't the southern nobles be paranoid about something similar happening to them? So if you want to play a King-Beyond-The-Wall, just expect them to be more of a wildcard than anything. And for any ambitions of southern invasion to be, well, difficult to say the least.

If you want to be more involved in the actual politics, than I'd recommend apping a noble house of some kind in addition to the Thenns.

@MrDidact I tried a different angle with the smithing, let me know if it works out. And I'm absolutely fine playing the wildcard wildling! You make a good point about the political edge of the game though, and I might make another character so that I can better interact with that as well (if that is okay). Let me know if I need to make more edits!

@Gnome Johnson I think the sheet looks mostly good, but a few last points from me. I think the Free Folk should be pretty knowledgeable of obsidian, but in the same vein I don't think edging bronze with obsidian is very feasible. Obsidian is very brittle, and I don't think wildlings would be able to figure out how to fuse it to bronze. And it would be of pretty much no benefit since bronze weapons are far superior to obsidian anyway, if one remembers how the First Men dominated the Children with their bronze weapons. I'm not even sure if it's even possible to edge a metal blade with obsidian, though I'm no weapon expert, the idea just doesn't seem workable. Rolf will have to distinguish himself some other way.

And perhaps you should make Rolf older to give him more time to be hardened as a warrior and more time spent gathering allies to make his alliance more feasible. Mance Rayder spent years gathering support. Rolf's attempts should have taken a while as well. As for his green dreams, I definitely don't think he should be a greenseer and I'm unsure if one can have those kinds of visions without being one, so you might say those visions are something that was told to him by some old biddy woods witch or something.

@MrDidact All fair points. I'll take some more time to mull over the new critiques and think about a different way how Rolf can distinguish himself as a leader among the Thenns and can better fit the established lore of the free folk. In the meantime I think I'll start working on a different character or house for the RP. Hopefully something will come to me while I get my mind off ol' Rolf for a bit :D

@Gnome Johnson I hope I'm not coming off overly difficult or anything, I'm just trying to help you make your sheet as good as possible and in line with the lore.

As for houses, there are quite a few houses that are not played by anyone. House Baratheon, and specifically Lord Borros has only been NPC'd so far and House Tyrell is completely open if you wish to take on a Great House. Otherwise, you can always take on another house but still have a big role.

@MrDidactOh no not at all! I knew it was going to be a challenge trying to make a free folk clan into a viable, playable group during one of the most contentious political times in Westeros' history. I appreciate the critique :)

I'll keep those houses in mind! Love me some Baratheons
