Name: Ironiji Ryuu (Lit. Rainbow Colour Dragon)
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Phenotype: Human
Appearance: Fairly tall at 6'01, Ryuu has an Ecto/Mesomorphic body type refined through intense physical training. His features are slightly sharper and more mature than pictured, with two scars crossing his left eyebrow and lips and his hair tied back to keep it out of his face. He also has his personal symbol tattooed onto the inside of his right forearm.
Nationality: Mistralese
Weapon: Ryujin - A
quick-draw katana with a curved blade, utilising a gun-mechanism to propel the blade from its sheath at high speed, adding to the strength of the initial strike. It also features a quad-chambered Dust system that can be used to empowered the the blade with elemental effects or used in tandem with the quick-draw mechanism to create a short-ranged 'wave' attack. Once drawn, the sheath can function as a standalone
'mare's leg' rifle, which is reasonably effective ranged weapon but suffers beyond medium range due to it's short barrel, and low damage compared to weapons of a similar nature.
Semblance: By drawing his Aura out of his body, he forms a pair of robust dragon wings, along with a tail and a pair of horns that glow a slightly dulled white. Without using a dust catalyst, the wings can be used to shield himself or those behind them and his physical attributes (strength, agility etc) are all slightly improved as the his spare aura is channelled into his limbs. He can, if making physical contact with it, use Dust as a catalyst to further empower his semblance with elemental effects and, in some cases, gain an additional 'breath' power. This is, however, offset by the weaknesses of that dust type, such as ice being weak to fire, and water being weak to lightning. Some examples of Dust usage include Wind Dust granting him limited flight capabilities or Ice Dust to strengthen his wings with solid ice and grant a freezing breath attack.
Aura Color: White (All colours combined)
Team: VRDT (Verdant) Viridia Moss - Hospitalised, Talvi Ilta - KIA, Dahlia Flare - MIA (presumed dead)
Emblem:Personality: Calm and level-headed, Ryuu is much like his name sake in his demeanour, noble and patient with a long but destructive temper. He holds great value for honour, wisdom and patience and tries to practice those three values as frequently as possible. He is intelligent and kind, but he is not as openly friendly as others might be. While he commonly does kind things or act for the benefit for the people around him, he holds them at arm's length, never letting himself become too attached out of principle. His kindness also has its limits, especially to surrendering enemies. Following his code of honour, he typically allows his enemies a single chance to redeem themselves, but those that fall back into the darkness or those with crimes so great that could never be redeemed are given no second chance.
His temper, while long, can eventually run out, with sometimes painful consequences like lashing out or killing a surrendering enemy. The status of his old team, Team VRDT, is a particular sore spot for him, and care needs to be taken with ones words when broaching the topic, as he still blames himself for what had happened and is very defensive of his ex-teammates.
Background: Ryuu was born and raised in a large village somewhat near the city of Mistral, close enough to be considered part of the kingdom and engage in regular trade but far enough that it retained it's independence in how it was run. His mother was a native from the village and his father was a Valean Huntsman who had retired shortly after their marriage and the couple settled in her home village, where they raised Ryuu. Throughout his childhood, His father told him stories about his days as a Huntsman and he began to admire them as heroes, as many children did, until he decided that he wanted to be a hero like them and begged his father to train him. He was hesitant at first but eventually introduced him to the ex-Huntsman that resided within the old village dojo. He underwent training with the man that would eventually become his master, an old but skilled man that gave Ryuu his skills with a blade as well as his code of honour.
He trained with his master until he was 17, where he left the village to follow in his father's footsteps and enrolled into Beacon with both his father's and master's endorsement to develop his independence. The Initiation Test lead to him being partnered with Viridia Moss, and later to Talvi and Dahlia to form Team VRDT with Viridia at the helm. The team progressed well through Beacon as a skilled and cohesive team, but that changed nearing the end of their final year. Viridia and Ryuu, having been in love with the other for a long while and yet too stubborn, scared or otherwise unwilling to do anything about it, finally gave in and formed a relationship. This lead to tensions within the team as Dahlia was also harbouring feelings for Ryuu, and Talvi for Dahlia. While Ryuu tried to repair the damage the best he could, the tensions finally boiled over during a mission and the negative emotions from subsequent argument attracted a horde of Grimm and they were forced to retreat with Talvi critically wounded. Just when they had made their escape, the Bullhead was attacked in the air by Nevermores and subsequently crashed, killing the wounded Talvi and critically wounding Viridia. Dahlia, out of shock, fear and guilt ran away in fear while Ryuu was too dazed from the crash to stop her. By the time rescue arrived, Dahlia was long gone.
Viridia was confined to hospital to begin a long and slow to road to recovery, and Ryuu left Vale to find clue to Dahlia's survival and bring her back if possible, eventually ending up in a certain village, searching for a lead.

- Unjustified violence
- Loud noise
- Atlas Tech in great quantities
Strengths:
+ Within close range, he is versatile and able to adapt his fighting style to better suit his opponent
+ Specialising in Speed and Damage over defence, he can inflicts large amounts of damage quickly if uninterrupted.
Weaknesses:
- No reliable methods to attack a target at longer than medium range.
- Relies more on speed to deflect or evade so he's not as resistant to damage as the more 'tanky' Huntsmen.
